Neoscream's Life: 21st to 27th April 2014

AMX-104 R-Jarja
Welcome to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I have done during last week and news on the great Geek Goddess, AJ Lee.

“Life”

I was still suffering from the Asthma this week, however it has no where been as bad as last week.

On Monday I received my birthday present from my parents early (my birthday is on May 13th). A new computer monitor. Beforehand I was using my TV. While with things like videos, games and audio it was great on the TV, text was a nightmare. With working on my blog a lot and using the web a lot, text was a very important thing for me. The new monitor fixes this problem and lets me work in a better resolution. The only problem with the monitor is that the audio is very tinny which not really much of a surprise was. I will have to look at getting some speakers. Great even more room being eaten up.

“WWE Extreme Rules”

OK as next Sunday is the pay-per-view Extreme Rules, let us talk about the currently revealed matches for it.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan will defend his titles against Kane in an Extreme Rules match. Kane is back wearing the mask so he is back to being a powerful uncontrollable monster. Can Bryan win this? YES! YES! YES! (Sorry about that just had to do it).
The Shield will face the Corporate Evolution (it is NOT THE Evolution without the two time Hall of Famer Ric Flair). I want the Shield to won, however it would be interesting to see what would happen if Evolution won
John Cena with face Bray Wyatt again, but this time in a Steel Cage match. Cena beat the odds at Wrestlemania and Bray has a losing streak in Cage matches, so the odds are on Cena side. However with WWE having the odds can be a very bad thing. Who do I want to see win? Cena.
Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston will defend his title against ever RVD or #BadNewsBarrett. I want to see Big E win.
The thief Paige will defend the Diva's championship that she stool from AJ Lee against AJ'S former bodyguard Tamina Snuka. I would love to see Tamina beat the crap out of that theif, however I have a feeling that Paige will somehow win.
R-Truth and Xavier Woods will face Alexander Rusev in a handicap match. Yes R-Truth and Xavier are at a major disadvantage against the Bulgarian brute.

There will be no WWE section next week as there is no AJ Lee at the moment and the Extreme Rules results will be done the following week. Instead there will be an extra "Painting and Converting" section in next week’s "Neoscream's Life" post. The details of which will be covered in this week’s "Gaming News from Neoscream" post.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 25th April 2014

The Blue Lanterns
Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer games. Due to no gaming this week as HeroClix was cancelled, there will be no "Gaming with Neoscream" this week. Instead the "Future Events" Section will be added to the end of this post. Please note that this weekend's events will not be listed. If you want them please check last week’s "Gaming with Neoscream" post.

Gaming News

First off is the HeroClix news. This week we had previews of: The Blob and Storm from Marvel X-Men Days of Future Past; Speed Demon and Whizzer from Marvel Deadpool; and (Green Lantern Recruit, Katma Tui, Rond Vidar, Guy Gardner, Jade and Hannu all I miss last week), Sinestro, Sinestro Corps Recruit, Bedovian, Mongul, Karu-Sil, Parallax, the Blue Lantern Ring and the Blue Lantern Ring Power Battery from DC War of Light.
Also it was revealed that in October there will be a DC Flash set with standard five figure boosters, Gravity Feed boosters and a Rouges themed Fast Forces pack (Captains Cold, Boomerang, Mirror Master, Weather Wizard, Heat Wave and the Pied Piper). The set will include the Harley Quinn HeroClix World Champion Piece and the 2013 DC Fan Vote Winner, Etrigan the Demon.

Five figures from the HeroClix set
DC Flash
Next is the Privateer Press news. A video promo was posted (and I have shared it on my blog on Monday night) for High Command. It promoted the Warmachine Campaign Expansion pack that was already known about, as well as a new Hordes Campaign Expansion pack and a Core Set Expansion with four new factions (Redemption, Convergence, Highborn Covenant, and the Four Star Syndicate). It is interesting that they decided to do Mercenaries Packs than having them as just one faction or cards that can be used by anyone. However this does mean that there will be two sets a month now and not a slowed which people were thinking there be (will the people in my High Command group). Will any ways, it will be great to finally have Convergence in the game.

Now for the Ninja Division news. There is a massive list of the current progress of the rules and Miniatures for the KickStarter. At a rough estimate I would say that Miniatures for the main box game are ready with moulds (apart from the pets) and the rules are almost done with closed beta. With the extras almost everything is sculpted and the rules are almost closed beta ready.

Next is the Interface Zero news. The main rulebook has been sent to the printers and shipping should start in July. Also there is a downloadable snack peek of the preliminary star ship creation rules from “The solar system” book.

Now for the Journey: Wrath of Daemons news. This week they were showing off their new ABS Base which look fantastic.

Next is the Elven Adventurers KickStarter news. Due to some problems with the destroyer and the mounted pilot shipping will run about ten days into May for people that have ordered them.

Now for the Crooked Dice Games news. At Salute they launched five all-new Starter Sets, for 7TV, 7ombieTV and 7th Voyage, and now they have hit their web store. Each comes with the relevant rulebook, cards, tokens dice and PDFs, and two of the 7TV Starter Sets come with a Programme Guide and more cards and tokens. These Starter Sets are great value and are a brilliant introduction to our games systems.

Next is the Shadows of Brimstone news. The final art for the Box Cover of Shadows of Brimstone: City of the Ancients is now completed, as well as 3D images of the Trederran Raiders sculpts and the heroes the Male Rancher and the Male Dark Stone Shaman.

Now for the Kingdom Death news. A small update had just come in. They showed of the Hard Plastic Flower Knight (due to promoting a KickStarter for a Visual Novel game done by the artist of the art work for the Flower Knight and childhood friend of Anna). They are still working on reopening the Pledge Manager to let backers add more. They are trying to stop backer being able to remove things they added in the past and prevent new orders of Resin figures. During the Campaign Adam promised that if they reached $666,666, he would create his own version of Satan, but not as part of the KickStarter. They more than tripled that target just by the standard KickStarter let alone from the Pledge Manager or the Black Friday 2013 people (like me). The artwork has been completed, the miniatures have been sculpted and cast. It will be released either sometime this weekend, or on Monday. It is a limited resin run of 500, but if they sell out they will take pre-orders for another production run. There should be a bigger update coming from them next week.

Next is the StarCrawlers news. Backers at Alpha testing level have received resisting details which means open Alpha is starting soon. I am not at Alpha or Beta level so I will not be able to test it before it comes out.

Now for the Mantic news. Next month Open Day has changed to a new address. The new address is 193 Hempshill Lane, Nottingham NG6 8PF. There will be a special event at the Open Day run by several of the staff for seven to thirteen year olds during 11AM to 2PM so parents can enjoy the event. It has also been revealed that Project Pandora will be on sale for £10 a box and the Crazy box will return at the Open Day.

Lastly it was been official revealed that Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition has just finished it’s playtesting stage and it is nearing release later this year around August 2014. By the sound of things it has fixed many of the problem 4th Edition had which was too combat based with miniatures.

Neoscream's Life: 14th to 20th April 2014

AMX-103 Hamma Hamma
Welcome to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I have done during last week and news on the great Geek Goddess, AJ Lee.

“Life”

All week by the look of thing I have been suffering a bad case of asthma with a cold. It is wearing me out at times. Tuesday was the worse day due to tiredness, which I was sadly had to take off sick.

“AJ Lee (and WWE)

There was no AJ this week, however there is a real life reason why she is not around and why she lost the title. No she was not fired. No Injuries. She just wanted a break. She has been doing more shows (including non-TV ones) in a year than most (not all) of the male wrestler have. How long she will be gone for is unknown but it will be months than week. She will be very much missed.

Due to no AJ, this section will be gone for some time. It will be replaced with an extra model painting section on weeks that have no WWE Pay-per-view chats. However next week should to build up for Extreme Rules.

Gaming with Neoscream: 20th April 2014

Welcome to “Gaming with Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming report and event write up post for miniature games, RPGs, card games and computer games.

This Week's Events

On Monday I went to Wargames Workshop MK for some more games of Deadzone, this time at the standard 70 point. David and his son Tim got the first game. Tim was using Rebels while his father used Marauders. Tim, who normally beats his father at games (or at least the first time of trying a game) lost the game.
The next and last game was between me and Tim. Rebels verses Rebels. I manage to win the game quite well, however my Teraton dead in just one hit. In the future I will try to use other things than that points eater.

On Thursday I went down to York House to play some games of HeroClix. This week we were playing the scenario "Messiah" (please check the HeroClix Scenarios page for more information). My team this week was an X-Men themed team. All the teams used this week are in the Armies section of this post.
In the first round I was up against Michael who was using a Brotherhood of Mutants themed team. Shadow King tied up my team and I ended up losing Lost. Also Darren S won his game against Adrian.
In the second round I was up against Adrian who was also using an X-Men themed team. At first I was winning the game but after I took out his Polaris and Havok, Adrian manage to change to tide of the battle. So I lost. Also Darren S won his game against Michael.
In the third and final round I was up against Darren S who was using a Mojoverse themed team. Like normal I lost against him. Sadly I cannot remember who who out the the brothers.
Darren S won overall this week with three wins like normal and I was dead last.
