Neoscream's Painting Table - Kingdom Death January 2017

Hi all and welcome to the all new "Neoscream's Painting Table". Yes I did say I would be calling it "Neoscream's Life" on my returning post, however I  decided as I started writing this give it a more suitable name. Oh and the label will be "Painting Table".

This week I will continue with the Kingdom Death Monster theme with my three Knights. I had posted the Lion Knight before, however as I am doing his Court and the other two expansion Knight I decided to re-post him too. Sadly as you may notice, the Dung Beetle Knight is missing his right hand. It dropped on the floor when I was building the Dung Beetle Knight (over six months ago) and I have never found it since.

Oh and I have included old image of the Lion Knight below to compare the change of quality using the Mini Photo Studio has brought. Please note I am still using the camera on my Samsung Note 4.

Now for some non painting Kingdom Death stuff. The Kingdom Death Monster 1.5 KickStarter has now finished. It made almost $12.4m with over 19k backers. This has made it the fourth biggest KickStarter ever. With a whooping sixteen new official expansions (basically not including things like the Gamblers Chest or Super Survivors) and thirty new hard-plastic Pinups (including the two Manhunter ones).

Yesterday I started a new solo campaign as I wanted to try out the People of the Sun campaign from the Sunstalker expansion as well as trying out some of my other new expansions which I got at Christmas from the Black Friday sales. The founders Nick, Holica, Louisa (named after Foxes) and Jessus (I only just realised it is spelled wrong, but I will stick with it) took on the prologue White Lion and won with Louisa taking down by the throat with her bear hands. Louisa help set up the settlement. After that (and some printer problems, they headed on their first hunt which was a level one Gorm. This was a LONG fight as for most of it I had a LOT of bad dice rolls and several draws of the trap card. However Louise managed to lay the killing blow again. Sadly Holica was killed by the Gorm and the "Rivals" Story Event from the Spidicules expansion killed of Nick. But luckily to random survivors Frank and Amy had a child called Sky (after burning both of their re-rolls).

Next week I plan on posting a ton of Warmachine miniatures. Until next time, Till all are one with the Lantern-Spark.

The Return

Hi all. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and an awesome New Year. OMG there were far too many deaths in 2016, let us hope 2017 will be better. Sorry for not really posting since the start of August. To be honest I started to lose enjoyment on making the posts and it became too much of major task to get posts written up on time.

I had planned on returning sooner, however due to delays (more motivation) I ended up deciding to leave it until the New Year to return.

I plan on only doing one post a week, which will mainly be a painting post. But I do plan on writing about what games I have played during the week and maybe a little bit of gaming news (most likely Kingdom Death Monster and maybe Pokemon Go) in the post too.

The post will have the "Neoscream's Life" name, but I will try not to board people or course trouble with life stuff. However, an odd bit might get into posts at time, most likely major things like birthday, girlfriend(s), marriage. Mostly for friends and family to know. Sadly please note that this was examples, I am still single and never had a girlfriend sadly. Life Sucks. Also I will not be using the "Neoscream's Life" label. Instead I plan on using a new one that I still need to decided on.

I plan on doing the first real post this weekend or sometime next week if there are delays. I need to get around to gathering the miniatures for the the first post and taking the photos of them. On a note of photos, I have now finally gotten myself a mini photo studio. The should improve on my photos by a ton. There is no real set date yet, however I do plan on doing a post a week.

As a final note, I would like to let people know about a MONSTER of a KickStarter that started on Black Friday and will be ending tomorrow. It is Kingdom Death Monster 1.5. This was a KickStarter to: Get the MASSIVE board game back into paint as it and several of the original expansions are sold out; update the base game; to bring some advance rule to the game; and to possible add some more expansions. The KickStarter has exploded. It was funded within minutes, it beaten the original KickStarter that made just over $2m (which was HUGE backing then and still is considered big nowadays) in two hour, made $5m during the first week and as I post this it has made over $10m. This makes it the biggest gaming KickStarter ever and the fifth biggest KickStarter ever, just over one day left. There is currently fifteen new expansions, not including the Gambler's Chest (the advanced rules) or large expansion like promos like the Super Survivors (a DragonBall Z inspired promo set). As well as twenty-four new Pinups which now includes male pinups. If you want into this KickStarter you better back it quick as there is just over one day left as I post this. I personally backing this at Black Friday Silver Lantern level and I plan on at least getting the three original expansions that I do not have, the Super Survivors set, Campaigns of Death expansion and the Zombicide Crossover figure Goth Amy, with a strong maybe on the Silver City expansion and the Pathfinders of Death set.

Hopefully there should be a new post soon. Until then, hmmm! Till all are one with the Lantern-Spark.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 22nd January 2016

Welcome everyone to the “Gaming News from Neoscream” post. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs and some card games, as well as my miniatures painting and upcoming local events.

“Gaming News”

First off we have the Bushiroad news. With Weiß Schwarz, today see the release of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Trial Deck, Booster Set and Meister Set in English.
Also with Cardfight Vanguard, today see the release of G Technical Booster 1 "The Reckless Rampage" in Japanese. Also next Friday will see the release of G Booster Set 5 "Moonlit Dragonfang" in English and there will be a Sneak Peek Event at Wargames Workshop MK tomorrow of it.

Next is the HeroClix news. This week we got previews of: Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Ragman and two versions of Poison Ivy from DC World's Finest.

Now for the Ninja Division news. World wide shipping of Ninja All-Stars has started and there has been reported that backers have started to receive them outside of Asia.

Next is the Modiphius news. First off is their Infinity RPG. They have released a preview of the Lifepath from the core rulebook for backers only.
With their Thunderbirds Co-operative Board Game KickStarters, wave two should now start shipping mid to late February in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. While America, Canada and Europe should start shipping early to mid March.

Now for the Guild Ball news. They have preorders of Corsair from the Fisherman's Guild and Esters from the Brewer's Guild are up on their website. They are due out on next Friday.

Next is the Frostgrave news. The second PDF expansion, "Sellsword" is out now. It a new type of Soldier that gains experience called a  Captains to the game as well as three new Scenarios.

Now for the Shadows of Brimstone news. They are still working on getting wave 1.5 out and it should now start shipping to backers sometime in February. However this does mean that wave two has be delayed by several months as it was meant to ship it February. Their are sone good new. They have revealed that all new hero figures will be released in resin due to quality issues.

Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. With The Others: 7 Sins, due to a bit of a delay the shipping date has been pushed back a month. However this means that the Pledge Manager has been extended until February 1st.
With Arcadia Quest, we got an image of the finished artwork for the "Hell of a Box" box and the finished Guild Tokens for the new guilds from Inferno. They have also start a journey into Sculpting the hero Sarya as she was a character that they did not have sculpted. This week’s post talked about scale.

Now for the Mantic news. First off Deadzone Infestation news. Shipping has been delayed until March due to production delays and Chinese New Year. However they did show off a ton of finished stuff. These were: The hard plastic pieces for the Enforcer Jetbikes, Recon Unit N7-117, The Piper, Rat Swarms, the Night Terror, a Progenitor with Sniper Rifle, the Brood Mother, Blaine on a Jetbike, a Plague Aberration, the Veer-myn Heavy Chem Laser, the Veer-myn Heavy Chem Thrower, the craw for them and a hard plastic sprue of the Forge Father Steel Warriors.

With Warpath we got a reminder that the Pledge Manager ends on February the 29th. We also got images of the Plague Bursters and CAD images of the GCPS Hornet Dropship.

Next is the Exploding Kittens news. After the MASSIVE success of the card game on KickStarter, they have released it as an app game. Sadly it is only available from iTunes.

Now for some Kingdom Death news. There has been some MAJOR delays over the last 90 day due to roughly fifty-five e-mails a day about missing parts or missing orders for three months. This has meant that a lot of the Black Friday stuff have not shipped (mine being one of them), that most (or none) of the Christmas order have not shipped yet and that their was no January sales or new stuff on the web store. By the sound of it the major problem is that they are too many fouls reports and some manufacturer problems too. Also the delays do not help as a lot of the current one most be people complained about their orders not arriving yet.

Lastly the finalists of the Beasts of War 2015 Gaming Awards are up so please go and vote for your favourites.

Neoscream Life New Year Special: Boxing Day 2015 to 3rd January 2016

Welcome everybody to another the Neoscream's Life post. This is my weekly post of life, what games I have been playing, what I have been painting and what I have watching and reading. The current opening pictures are of Cardfight Vanguard clans. This week is Touken Ranbu who belongs to no nation.

"Life"

On Sunday the 27th of December 2015, I, Darren H, Roxy and Jake were planning to watch Star Wars The Force Awakens. I even pre-ordered tickets the day before. However Jake cancelled on us a couple of hours before the film. We struggled to find/think of someone to replace him, but luckily my mum ended up taking has place. The film was great and I do plan on re seeing it again with Seyed, however *SPOILERS* it is basically a remake of the original Star Wars film *SPOILERS*. Oh and we beeped into Darren S and his family who were watching the film too.
On Tuesday 29th of December 2015, I went to Darren H's after work and meet up with him, Simon, Richard and Lisa there. It was meant to be a thing, but due to problems with work I could not do all day. We (not including Lisa) played Kingdom Death Monster. Due to time we only had time for one lantern year. We went up against a level one White Lion and we all survived. However it was the events during the Settlement phase that did some damage to us.
On New Year’s Eve I went to MK11 (a place in Kiln Farm) with Richard. It was an enjoyable night out, but I do wish more of us had came out to celebrate New Year with us.
During the time there was no Heroclix or gaming at Wargames Workshop MK due to the holiday period.

"Life 2015"

First off, the gaming side of things during 2015. Sadly Guardians of Tyr stopped running the DreadBall tournaments. I have started playing Cardfight Vanguard and Maliflux. I finally got Kingdom Death Monster after almost two years of waiting (three for those who backed in original on KickStarter) and it is a really awesome game. I am still doing terrible with Warmachine in tournaments, however there is a little improvement. Sadly I never got a game of DreadBall (normal and Xtreme) or that many games of Zombicide in during 2015.

In 2016 I am hoping to get into Frostgrave and play more Kingdom Death Monster, Cardfight Vanguard, Maliflux, Arcadia Quest and hopefully Zombicide

Next is Anime. In 2014 I sadly did not get to watch much Anime, but in 2015 thanks to Cardfight Vanguard, I got back into it. The shows I have finished watching there:

• Mobile Suit Gundam Build Fighters Try
• Attack on Titan
• Knights of Sidonia (both seasons)
• Sword Art Online (both seasons)
• Fate/Stay Night
• Space Dandy
• Cardfight Vanguard (original seasons, but not Legion Mate as it was never dubbed)
• The Seven Deadly Sins

The shows I am currently watching are Cardfight Vanguard G and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
In 2016 I am hoping to get back into the Shonen Jump shows like Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, One Piece and Dragon Ball Super.

Then there is films. During the summer (or maybe just before hand, I and a work colleague started going to the cinema on Wednesdays, or at least try to. We even signed up for Cineworld Unlimited cards too. During the year I sure several films that I sadly would not have see normally like the Martian, Ted 2 and Minions.

Well with that done let us more on to the more difficult side off things. I started the year very depressed over things I sadly can not write about any more. Sadly it led to me stopping writing the "Life" section in these posts from several months.

There was a bit of chaos at Valentine's Day which I would like to talk about, but should not.

I have tried a on-line dating website, but it was a flop. Too many fake accounts or inactive accounts, and no one seems to reply to messages.

Something happened at work that made life easier again at work, but again I will not be saying what sadly.

Next thing is a hard one for what I should and should not say. During the middle of the year I did manage to move on from the Cute Kutti, I developed a huge crush on a girl I know on-line known as Bowtie88. I really liked her, however my feelings for the Cute Kutti turned to hatred which I truly hated. I hated how I hated the Cute Kutti as it was pure hatred. Sadly Bowtie88 disappeared with out a word and I have no clue on what truly happened. I do worry about her, however I cannot really do anything about it. Especially when I do not know her real name. This led to my none hateful feelings for the Cute Kutti to return.

At one point of time I thought I was free from the Cute Kutti, as she was meant to leave for a different job. However it lasted lease than a month as she found it boring and she never really left as she  still worked to us for about two weekday evenings a week.

Recently some other stuff have happened that I cannot really talk about, but really what too. However I will say that I am really pissed off with a a certain person. Like I said I would love to talk about it, however I really cannot.

With New Year's resolutions, I cannot think of anything that I have thought of passed years at sadly NEVER happen.

First off there is "Get a new job". I have been stuck with Burger King for blood sixteen year now and I still cannot fine a job. Hopefully 2016 "might" change as I have applied for a job at Wargames Workshop MK. Sadly knowing my luck in life I will not get it, but I will not give up hoping and trying for the job.

Second is "Get a Girlfriend". I am thirty-three, still never had a girlfriend. The dating site I have tried turn out to be a flop. I will have to try another one. However the emotional scares the Kutti has coursed, plus the heart break with Bowtie88 disappearing without a work, has really destroyed my self confidence.
Lastly (and sorry about the language I am about to use) "Get Over That Fucking Bitch". It has been over a year and I still cannot fucking get over her. I think the main problem is that she works at the same place where she always get mentioned, even when she is not there. We cannot get rid of her and I cannot seem to be able to get a different job. Hopefully I will get the job at Wargames Workshop MK. Getting a girlfriend would probably work. There is more I would like to talk about on this, but sadly I cannot.

"Loot Crate"

On New Year's Eve I received December's Loot Crate. The theme was Galaxy time time. It was to celebrate the release of the new Start Wars film. In it were:

An Ugly Holiday Sweater T-Shirt (sweet more Christmas clothing)
A Han Solo in Snow Gear POP (Pop figures are always good)
A GalaxyQuest Authentic Prop Replica Patch (I have never seen the film, yet)
A pair of BB-8 Socks (Cool, however I bet they are the one size fits all which are hard to put on and off my feet)
A Halo 5 Ammo Tin Box (I am using this to store my Cartdfight Vanguard decks)
A Halo 5: Guardians Req Pack (I do not have Halo 5 or own an Xbox One so this is sadly worthless to me)
And the monthly badge and mag

Overall an awesome crate. Personal I would have preferred a Star Trek or Star Wars patch than a GalaxyQuest one, but that is just my opinion.
January's theme will be Invasion.

"Painting and Converting"

For this post I have for you all the other three starting Survivors from Kingdom Death Monster.

On Friday's post I should have for you all the White Lion from Kingdom Death Monster and another of Greygore Boomhowler’s Trolls from Warmachine. During the week I managed to finish paining two more Guild Ball figure and one other figure. Below is an image of my painting table at the end of last Sunday night or the start of Monday morning.

Neoscream Life Christmas Special: 14th December to Christmas Day 2015

Merry (late) Christmas everybody. Welcome to another the Neoscream's Life post. This is my weekly post of life, what games I have been playing, what I have been painting and what I have watching and reading. The current opening pictures are of Cardfight Vanguard clans. This week is Neo Nectar from the Zoo nation.

"Blog News"

OK, this was meant to be on Christmas Day but it somehow took me longer to finish than expected. Because of this it will include the whole of Christmas Day.

"Life"

On Monday the 14th of December I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for some gaming. I ended up play some games of Cardfight Vanguard. Got some deck advice on my some of my newer decks.

I managed to finish of the Christmas shopping, wrapping and cards on Friday the 18th of December (apart from an extra item brought the following day).

On Monday the 21st of December I went down to Wargames Workshop MK with Thunderbirds, Super Munchkin, Castle Panic and Red Dragon's Inn for the last Monday night gaming of the year as next Monday is a Bank Holiday. Sadly we did not play any of them, but I do get to play several other games with Dave and others. First we played Evil Baby Orphanage, then Boss Monster and finally a long game of Munchkin Cthulhu. It was great fun and we all made a new friend.

I do find Christmas this year with work was a lot better than last year. There is more of a Christmas feel from the staff. Not saying that there was not any, just that it is a much better feeling.

On Christmas Eve I went out with a bunch of friends to celebrate, including Channy, Richard and Roxy who was back in Milton Keynes for the weekend. It was a great night, same Darren H and Jake could not make it.

"HeroClix"

On Thursday the 17th of December I went to York House like normal. The scenario was 600 points, no house rules. I decided to do a Nova Corps which were:

Nova (039 Marvel Avengers Assemble) 141 + Monster Hunter (Feat) 3 = 144
2 x Nova Corps Recruit (002 Marvel Galactic Guardians) 50 x 2 = 100
Nova Corps Centurion (015 Marvel Galactic Guardians) 100 + Ambidextrous (Feat) 14 = 114
Nova Prime (001 Marvel Galactic Guardians) 150 + Ambidextrous (Feat) 12 = 162
80 GG210 Nova Corps Denarian (210 Marvel Galactic Guardians) 80
=600 points

On the first round I was up against Michael who was using a Seto Kaiba themed team from Yu-Gi-Oh who were:

2 x Blue-Eyes White Dragon (104 Yu-Gi-Oh Series One) 150 x 2 = 300
Des Feral Imp (106  Yu-Gi-Oh Series One) 50
La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp (029 Yu-Gi-Oh Series One) 110
Boar Soldier (003  Yu-Gi-Oh Series Two) 85
The Phoenix Force (R100 Marvel Avengers vs X-Men) 57 (compete and assassinated to all characters)
=602 points

I just managed to win this game Darren S won the game. Also Darren S won his game against Adrian. On the second round I was up against Darren S. His team was a Secret Society of Super-Villains themed team who were:

Felix Faust (027 DC WizKidz event) 80
Despero (058 DC Justice League Trinity War) 235
Mirror Master (020 DC The Flash) 80
Mirror Master (020b DC The Flash) 30
Trickster (022 DC The Flash) 70
Heat Wave (041 DC The Flash) 97
=592 points

Sadly like normal against Darren S, I lost. Also Adrian won his game against his brother Michael. On the third and final round I was up against Adrian. His team was a White/Yellow Lanterns themed which was:

The Weaponer of Qward (025 DC War of Light) 211
Kyle Rayner (031b DC War of Light) 112
Mon-El (102 DC Superman and the Legion of Superheroes) 200 + Entity (061p DC War of Light) 25 = 225
Sinestro Corps Ring (S305 DC War of Light) 4
Sinestro Corps Power Battery (R105 DC War of Light) 2
Yellow Sniper Rifle (R205.14 DC War of Light) 6
Yellow  Nurse (R205.09 DC War of Light) 10
Yellow Crossbow (R205.05 DC War of Light) 10
Yellow Boxing Glove (R205.10 DC War of Light) 8
Yellow Wall (R205.04 DC War of Light) 10
=598 points

Sadly I lost this game. There was no HeroClix yesterday or next week as they are on the eves. I have no clue on what the scenario for the 7th of January 2016 will be, however York House will be open for wargamers at 7:15/7:30PM instead of 6:45/7PM due to the event happening before hand will be running late.

"Painting and Converting"

For this post I have for you all the Zombivor version of Maddie and both versions of Laurie from Zombicide.

On the next post I should have for you all both versions of Packer from Zombicide plus the Sci-fi Pinup Twilight Knight and a Survivor.
