Gaming with Neoscream: 6th July 2014

Welcome to “Gaming with Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming report and event write up post for miniature games, RPGs, card games and computer games.

“This Week's Events”

On Monday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for the third week of the DreadBall League and the last week of the groups. This week my Battle Angels (Season Two Corporation) team were up against Jim’s Season One Corporation team. However, as Jim needed to play Ian first as they did not have their game from last week yet, I had to wait until it was done. While waiting I played a game of King of Tokyo. It is a quick fun little game with monsters fighting over Tokyo. When it was done I got my game against Jim. It was long battle and the dice did not like me too well. I sadly lost the game by two points. Caxx went up to Rank Three and gained a +1 to her Skill. Lacey Shadows went up to Rank Two and gain Jump (again). With my winnings I brought an extra coaching (well two as Caxx’s advancement was on the Extra Coaching table) making the total seven coaching dice which is the max.

Multiple Man
On Thursday I had HeroClix. This week we finally did the "Army of Three" scenario. I was originally going to be using a Sentinel team, however as I used one last week I decided to change my team to a Multiple Man X-Factor team. Sadly their was no Michael this week so one of us had to take a bye each round.
In the first round I was up against Adrian who was using a Teen Titans themed team while Darren S had the bye. It was a drawn out game and Adrian just manages to win.
Triplicate Girl
In the second round Adrian was up against Darren S who was using a Legion of Super-Heroes themed team while I had the bye. Darren S won this game.
In the third and final round I was up against Darren S while Adrian had the bye. Darren S picked the Justice Society TA for the TA for Legion Lost. Triplicate Girl might look weak a first but three of them with their trait and gaining Shrinking Violet's 19 defence is a nasty combo. Especially when they are on their Combat Reflexes and Flurry clicks. I got creamed in this game.
Over all Darren S won this week. Next week will be "Street Level". 500 points, no figure over 100 points, all characters must be considered a street level hero. Examples of street level heroes are Spider-Man, Batman, Green Arrow and Captain America.

On Friday I went to Wargames Workshop MK for some High Command. Sadly there was only me and Ian as the others never turned up. So both me and Ian had two games. We used the new Location and new Winds of War from the Invasion of Sul campaign expansion. We each won a game. The new Location and new Winds of War really add a great twist to the game.

The boss of the Marukyu Striptease, Shadow Rise
With Persona 4 this week I have competed Rise's dungeon the Marukyu Striptease, started the Lovers Social Link (Rise) after a LONG wait, took out the new bosse in the Steamy Bath House and Marukyu Striptease dungeons and have gotten to the end of the Void Quest dungeon. Both the Magician (Yosuke) and Priestess (Yukiko) Social Links are at level seven now, with Chariot (Chie) at eight and the Lovers at five. With the Let’s Play I have gotten to the end of Naoto's Secret Laboratory dungeon and now in the middle of the Cultural Festival. Oh and I have play a little Persona 4 Arena. Only past the first battle in Yu's story line.
