Welcome to “Gaming with Neoscream”. This is my
weekly gaming report and event write up post for miniature games, RPGs, card
games and computer games. There was not a post last week due to two things,
there was no HeroClix and I have spent a lot of time writing some personal
stuff down, over two pages worth
“This Week's Events”
On Friday last week me and Richard went down to
Simon’s. While there, we had two games of Munching. Richard won the first game
while Simon won the second. We decided to try to get Role play back going
again. We are looking at doing it twice a month. May the second and fourth
Friday of the month.
On Thursday this week I went to York House for
HeroClix. The Scenario was "Daemons and Angels". I was using a
Midnight Sons team which I had to borrow three out of the five figures.
On the first round I was up against Michael who was
using a Defenders themed team. I won this game. Also Darren S won his game
against Adrian.
On the second round I was up against Darren S who
was using an X-Men themed team. Like normal Darren S won this game. Sadly I
cannot remember who won between the brothers.
On the third and final round I was up against Adrian
who was also using a Midnight Sons themed team. I managed to win this game.
Also shockingly Michael won his game against Darren S.
Next week should be "No Fly Zone". 500
points. Figures with the standard or transporter winged symbol will have the
standard boot symbol. Figures gain the flight ability from other mains will
loss it.
On Friday me, Richard and Darren H want to Simon’s.
We were character generating for Silver Age Sentinels D20. We are roughly
planning on starting role play on Friday two weeks time. I am to play an old story character of mine called Hyniks, Lord of Darkness. Followers of this blog might have heard of him or seen him in the past. In fact he leads of of my 7TV teams, the X-Guards.

“Future Events”
These are local gaming events in Milton Keynes I
know of, Guardians of Tyr events at Wargames Workshop Northampton and other
events I plan on going to or want to advertise.

On Mondays (not
including Bank Holidays) at Wargames Workshop MK is Wargaming and board games
night.

On Tuesdays at
Wargames Workshop MK it is Card games night (or is it just Magic the
Gathering).
·
On Thursdays
York House in Stony Stratford is open from Wargamers and Boardgamers.
·
On Fridays at
Wargames Workshop MK it is Friday Night Magic.
·
On Thursday the
21st of August, there is HeroClix at York House in Stony Stratford. The
scenario should be “No Fly Zone”.
·
On Friday the 5th
of September, Guardians of Tyr will be running a High Command tournament at
Wargames Workshop MK.
·
On Saturday the
6th of September, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Star Wars
X-Wing tournament at Wargames Workshop MK.
·
On Monday the 15th
of September, Guardians of Tyr will be starting a Warmachine/Hoards league at
Wargames Workshop MK.
·
On Saturday the
20th of September, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Steam Roller
Warmachine/Hoards tournament at Wargames Workshop MK.
·
On Saturday the
4th of October, Guardians of Tyr will be running a DreadBall
tournament at Wargames Workshop MK.
·
On Saturday the
18th of October, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Warhammer 40,000
tournament at Wargames Workshop MK.
·
On Sunday the 19th
of October, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Steam Roller Warmachine/Hoards
tournament at Wargames Workshop Northampton.
Wargames Workshop MK has a £2 gaming fee or £4 with
a pack of Magic the Gathering cards unless it is a paid tournament run by
Guardians of Tyr (not including High Command). Weekday events normally start
“playing” at 7PM.
For rules for Guardians of Tyr tournaments and
leagues as well as information on pre booking your place in tournament. Pre
booking is highly recommended so they know how many people are coming. So
please go to their website which there is a link to it under my links section
which are located on the right hand side of this blog.
York House has a £3 on the day gaming fee and a £5
fee for a year’s membership. However the first day is free and they only take
yearly membership fee at the start of the year. The Hall officially opens at
7PM, but normally people start arrived 15 to 20 minutes early.
