Gaming News from Neoscream: 8th April 2016

The Dimensional Police G-Guardian. Her other ability is:
[AUTO]:When this unit is placed on (GC), if your
opponent's attacking unit's [Power] is 20000 or greater,
this unit gets [Shield]+5000 until end of that battle.

Welcome everyone to the “Gaming News from Neoscream” post. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs and some card games, as well as my miniatures painting and upcoming local events.

Sorry for no post last week, there was not really enough news to report on sadly.

“Gaming News”

First off we have the Bushiroad news. With Weiß Schwarz, today sees the release of the Power Up set for CLANNAD and the Power Up set Log Horizon in Japanese.
With Cardfight Vanguard, they have revealed a new type of unit called a G-Guardian. These are grade four 15k guard based units that live in the G-Zone (Stride deck is what I have been calling it). They can only guard and you can only use them if both players are at least grade three and you discard a heal trigger from your hand. They will be debuting in Fighter's Collection 2016 were each clan apart from Touken Ranby will get one. With the introduction of G-Guardians, the G-Zone will be doubled in size to sixteen. This will course problems with with some of my decks as they are struggling to get to eight. Well hopefully the new Fighter's Collection will help fix this problem.

Next is the HeroClix news. This week we got previews of: Rat King, Renet Tilley and Krang from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; and Mystique and Omega Red from Marvel The Uncanny X-Men.

Now for the Modiphius news. I have received my Thunderbirds Co-operative Board Game wave two shipment. The three expansions fit perfectly in the original box game. In fact the RPG add-on could as well if I was not using deck boxes to hold the cards in.
With their Infinity KickStarter, their have put up a Character Creation App and they have updated it too since then.

Next is the Zero Agents news. They have revealed the state cards for the Agents, Minions and one the Elite Operatives.

Now for the Ninja Division news. Their new KickStarter, Rail Raiders Infinite, has finally started. It was meant to have started on the 4th, but due to some communications problems with Kickstarter it did not start until the 6th. The game is a chibi sci-fi western board game for two to four players. Raid the Interstellar Express space-rail to earn loot, infamy, and the ire of C.O.W. and the Galactic Central Bank. In order to loot the train you will need to first dispose of the meddlesome Tinstar Lawbots, who will do everything in their power to stop your hist. Team up with other Raiders, or do what bandits do best, double-crossing them when their chips are down. Anything goes when you’re out to make a big score!
There is currently only one real pledge level which is called Space Cowboy. It was  just the game and the raider Cowpuncher Candy.
Since it started they managed to unlock: The game was funded; "The Good, the Bad and the Bot" five player expansion as an add-on; the raider Kingsman was added to the Space Cowboy pledge level; a second sculpt for the Lawbot Deputies; the raider Whistlin' Pete was added to the Space Cowboy pledge; the raider Thorne was added to the Space Cowboy pledge; and ten more Poker dice was added to the Space Cowboy pledge.
As I post this the stretch goals that are still going are: Double the number of Lawbots and the downloadable scenario "Shadows of the Star Express" will be added to the Space Cowboy pledge at $100k; the raider El 'Cola will be added to the Space Cowboy pledge at $105k; a second sculpt for the Lawbot Cavalries at $110k.
I have only backed this at $1. This does look really good. However I do own a bunch of games and still waiting for several from KickStarter so I really do not have the room or time.

Neoscream's Life: 28th of March to 3rd of April 2016

Welcome everybody to another the "Neoscream's Life" post. This is my weekly post of life, what games I have been playing, what I have been painting and what I have watching and reading. This week's opening pictures are of the Dragon King.

"Blog News"

Wow, the blog is now six years old now. I not doing anything special this year for it as I forgot to plan for it. Like always I would love to update and improve on the images of the blog. However I am not setting anything in stone as I would prefer to find a professional to do it. Someone who can draw Transformers would be ideal.

Oh and for those of you who missed the notice and are wondering why there was no "Gaming News from Neoscream" post last week. Due to the lack of news for the stuff I normally report on, I decided not to do it as the news would be almost nothing. However as I skipped last week’s, this week's will be happening.

"Life"

As Monday was a bank holiday, that mention that the store was closed so sadly there was no gaming on Monday at Wargames Workshop MK again.

This week I have started planning a little holiday for May. With the new dates for the cancelled Foxes tour dates are now up and how much I enjoyed her concert at the Round House in London, I have decided to go to one of the of these. She sadly went down sick at the beginning of the third week of her three week UK tour and had to cancel the week. Due to other events happening, I can only really do Postsmout or Brighton. A thought of doing both did come to mind, however it would be very costly. I end up deciding to go to the Brighton one which is on the 11th of May. Sadly I will be going on me as most people I know would not go or are too busy. Also unlike London, I will be staying over night due to problems with travel. I am NOT walking in London from one train station to another at 1/2AM on my own. So it will be two days in Brighton, on my own. C'est la vie.

?

"HeroClix"

On Thursday I played some HeroClix with Darren S, Michael and Adrian like normal. The scenario this time was "Build Up to Civil War". 500 points. The team must have one and only one character from the up and coming Captain America Civil War film that no one else is using. I basically built an Agents of SHIELD team that guess stars Iron Man and Nick Fury. The team was:

Iron Man (201 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 110 + Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division (ATA) 3 = 113
Skye (006 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD Fast Forces) 50 + Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division (ATA) 3 = 53
Simmons (005 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD Fast Forces) 50 + Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division (ATA) 3 = 53
Fitz (004 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD Fast Forces) 50 + Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division (ATA) 3 = 53
Agent Coulson (002 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD Fast Forces) 75 + Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division (ATA) 3 = 78
Nick Fury, Jr. (001 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD Fast Forces) 75 + Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division (ATA) 3 = 78
Agent May (003 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD Fast Forces) 50 + Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division (ATA) 3 = 53
Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. (003 Marvel Avengers movie) 19 + Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division (ATA) 3 = 22
=503 points

On the first round I was up against Darren S who was also using a SHIELD themed team who were:

Nick Fury (056 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD) 120
Winter Soldier (024 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD) 95
Iron Nail (048 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD) 155
Fitz (004 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD Fast Forces) 50
Quake (019 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD) 85
=505 points

Like normal against Darren S, I lost the game. Also Adrian won his game against his brother Michael. On the second round I was up against Michael. He was also using a SHIELD themed team who were:

War Machine (029a Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 125
Mirage (004 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 75
Morbius (028 Marvel Amazing Spiderman) 133
Satana Hellstrom (034 Marvel Amazing Spiderman) 82
Nick Fury (040 Marvel Chaos War) 45
S.H.I.E.L.D. Soldier (002 Marvel Captain America The Winter Soldier) 45
=505 points

I managed to win this game. Also Darren S won his game against Adrian. On the third and final round I was up against Adrian who was using a Fantastic Four themed team who were:

Thing (003 Marvel HeroClix 10th Anniversary) 128 + Fantastic Force (ATA) 5 = 133
Mr. Fantastic (037 Marvel Galactic Guardians) 130 + Fantastic Force (ATA) 5 = 135
Black Panther (037 Marvel Captain America) 128 + Fantastic Force (ATA) 5 = 133
Storm (030 Marvel HeroClix 10th Anniversary) 128 + Fantastic Force (ATA) 5 = 133
=504 points

I managed to win this game. Also Darren S won his game against Michael.

There is no HeroClix this week due to work. So next week's scenario will be "Avengers Assemble". 500 points, must be a Avengers themed team (which includes things like West Cost Avengers). You cannot use characters from the Captain America Civil War film.

"Steamroller Tournament"

On Saturday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for the second Milton Keynes Steamroller Tournament. Due to time I will not be doing much of a write up. I used my normal Cygnar team and got third place. WOW, my highest ever Steamroller Tournament place. Sadly there was only three of us, four if you included Ian who was running the tournament. This also sadly meant I was in lost place too, so I won the wooden spoon of doom AGAIN.

"Painting and Converting"

For this post I have for you all is three more Soldiers and two Interceptors from the XCOM board game.

During the week I managed to finish painting four Arcadia Quest figure. I also under coated a Zombicide figure, two Kingdom Death Monster figures and six bases.

In the next "Gaming News from Neoscream" post I should have for you all six more Interceptors and two UFOs from the XCOM board game.

Below is an image of my painting table at the end of last Sunday night or the start of Monday morning.

Oh and the green plastic worm you have been seeing is a place holder for something TOO big to fit the queue.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 18th March 2016

Welcome everyone to the “Gaming News from Neoscream” post. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs and some card games, as well as my miniatures painting and upcoming local events.

“Gaming News”

First off we have the Bushiroad news. With Weiß Schwarz, today sees the release of "THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS" in the form of three Trial Decks, a Booster Set and a Meister Set all in English. Next Friday will see the release of Card game Shiyoko Ultimate Starter in Japanese.
Also with Cardfight Vanguard, today sees the release of the G Legend Deck 2: The Overlord blaze "Toshiki Kai" in Japanese. Next Friday will see the release of G Trial Deck 8 "Vampire Princess of the Nether Hour" and G Booster Set 6 "Transcension of Blade and Blossom" in English. This and G Booster Set 7 are the sets that I am currently looking forward to. Six has Nova Grapplers and Seven has Dimension Police. There is a Sneak Peek for G Booster Set 6 at Wargames Workshop MK. Sadly due to working I will not be able to go.

Next is the HeroClix news. This week we got previews of: Metalhead and Casey Jones from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Now for the Privateer Press news. Their Widower's Wood is still going on. As I post this they have managed to unlock since the lost post: A new reward level called Luxury which is basically Premium with a KickStarter exclusive table top dice tray; a Boss Swamp Gobber was added to all pledge levels apart from the Core Game one; a KickStarter exclusive Blackhide Wrastler was added to all pledge levels apart from the Core Game one; and four more Club Gatormen and a KickStarter exclusive mission was added to all pledge levels.
As I post this the stretch goals that are still going were: A Boss Small Tatzylurm will be added to all pledge levels apart from the Core Game one at $287k; six Tomahawk Gatormen will be added to all pledge levels apart from the Core Game one at $300k; a Boss Gatorman Bokor will be added to all pledge levels apart from the Core Game one at $312k; two more Gatormen Bokor will be added to all pledge levels at $325k; three more KickStarter exclusive missions will be added to all pledge levels apart from the Core Game one at $337k; and a KickStarter exclusive Swamp Horror will be added to all pledge levels apart from the Core Game one at $350k.
The KickStarter will be ending on Sunday. Let us see what they can unlock between now and then.

Next is the Cryptozoic news. Next month they are returning to KickStarter to fund Ghostbusters The Board Game 2.

Now for the Kingdom Death news. For one week only, all the expansions for Kingdom Death Monster (apart from the Lantern Festival due to not being ready and the Spidicules most likely due to the problem with the legs) are all up on their web store for one week that ends on the 21st. I have managed to pick up all three Knights. I was planning on getting the Green Knight Armour set too however I learnt that you need to get two or three more of the other expansions to use it.
Afterwards the expansions will be release normally onto the store as a general release in a slow manner.

Lastly is the Modiphius news. With their Infinity RPG they are still working on the Wave one books, however from next week they will start shipping the miniatures if backers want to pay extra for the postage. On the belowKickStarter Dates" section I have pushed wave one to April, however I do doubt that it will ship by then.
With their Thunderbirds KickStarter, wave two will start shipping next week. People who added the RPG support (like me) will have to wait about week later as the RPG stuff will arrive at the warehousessome time next week.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 19th February 2016

Welcome everyone to the “Gaming News from Neoscream” post. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs and some card games, as well as my miniatures painting and upcoming local events.

Due to going to London next Friday to see Foxes at the Round House and work on Saturday, next week’s post will ever be on the Thursday or on the Sunday or there will not be a post next week. Hopefully it will be on Thursday, but I am not placing any bets, but if there is no post I might post the Build Analysis post for my Genesis deck for Cardfight Vanguard an week earlier as most of it is written.

“Gaming News”

First off we have the Bushiroad news. With Weiß Schwarz, today sees the release of NISEMONOGATARI Booster set, Trial Deck and Meister Set in English and the School Girl Strikers Booster set in Japanese.

Next is the HeroClix news. This week we got previews of: Two versions of Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yes that is right the HeroClix set for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is still coming.

Now for the Mantic news. Since last week’s post The Walking Dead All Out War KickStarter has managed to unlock: Four Abandoned Car; two more Prison Walkers, Walker Duane and eight Equipment cards were added to the Prison Expansion; the characters Maggie, Julie, Chris, Arnold, Laien, Craig and Carlos; the characters Rick in Riot Gear, Morgan, Billy and Ben was added to the Prison Expansion; two Farm Walkers; one more Walker; four more Equipment cards; and the KickStarter exclusive character Abraham.
The stretch goals that are still going as I post this are: The character Michonne (with her Walkers) will be added to the Prison Expansion.
The KickStarter will be finishing week so let us see what they can unlock between now and then.
Also on Warpath side of Mantic, the beta rules for the Firefight version of the game is available to download.

Next is the IDW games "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past" KickStarter news. The KickStarter has ended last night and they managed to make $862,211 with 6,033 backers.
Since the last post they have managed to unlock: KickStarter exclusive Sheamus Rocksteady was added to The Works pledge level; KickStarter exclusive Mirage -mission- campaign, KickStarter exclusive Roof Top map and a KickStarter exclusive ally card for Fugitoid was added to both pledge levels; another Eastman Lithograph and a portfolio case was added to The Works pledge level; eight KickStarter exclusive villain custom dice were added to both pledge levels; a KickStarter exclusive villain sheet of Shredder was added to The Works pledge level; and KickStarter exclusive human versions of Bebop and Rocksteady was added to The Works pledge level; a KickStarter exclusive sculpt of Shredder was added to The Works pledge level; and the Ally card Angel Bridge. With Angel Bridge, they have not made it clear (unless it was in the comments) if she is a KickStarter exclusive or not and what she is being added to (the cord game, both Pledge levels or just The Works pledge level).
They have managed to unlock everything.

Now for the Kingdom Death news. If you did not see the update post I did during the ladt weekend, wave three of Kingdom Death Monster has started shipping. Wave three was meant to contain all of the expansions, however due to problems the Lantern Festival expansion will be shipping on its own as a fourth wave.
During the week people who have received their's have been posting previews and they are looking awesome. Oh and the Green Armour set is so very over powered.

Next is the Privateer Press news. They have joined the KickStarter bandwagon again. This time for the Hordes version of "The Undercity", called "Widower's Wood". This includes an expansion for it too. There are three pledge levels. "Widower's Wood Game Plus" which is the game and stretch goals that are linked to that level. "Widower's Wood Deluxe Edition" comes with the core game, the expansions Dead Men Walking and all appropriate Stretch goals. And then "Widower's Wood Premium Collectors Edition" comes with the core game, the expansion, Q-Workshop dice, a deluxe wooden box to store ALL the stuff you get and all appropriate Stretch goals.
As I post this they have managed to unlock: The game was funded; the KickStarer exclusives Viktor Pendrake and a mission was added to all pledge levels; the KickStarer exclusives Crede, Jagger and Lanyssa Ryssyl was added to both the Deluxe and Premium levels; four more Swamp Shamblers, two Swamp Gobbers, sixteen alternate autumn themed tiles and four more Side Quest cards were added to all pledge levels; and a Boss Club Gatorman was added to both the Deluxe and Premium pledge levels.
As I post this the stretch goals that are still going were: A KickStarter exclusive Ironback Soitter will be added to both the Deluxe and Premium pledge levels at £225k (almost done); a Boss Spear Bog Trog will be added to both the Deluxe and Premium pledge levels at $237k; four more Small Tatzylwurms will be added to all pledge levels at $250k; a Boss Swamp Gobber will be added to both the Deluxe and Premium pledge levels at $262k; four more Club Gatormen and a KickStarter exclusive mission will be added to all pledge levels at $245k; a Boss Small Tatzylurm will be added to both the Deluxe and Premium pledge levels at $287k; six Tomahawk Gatormen will be added to both the Deluxe and Premium pledge levels at $300k; a Boss Gatorman Bokor will be added to both the Deluxe and Premium pledge levels at $312k; ever six more Spear Bog Trogs or two more Gatormen Bokor (voted by backers) will be added to all pledge levels at $325k; ever a KickStarter exclusive Blackhide Wrastler or a KickStarter exclusive Swamp Horror at $350k.

Now for the Modiphius news. Well this is not really news, more like a statement. Like normal with ANY role play KickStarter I have backed, wave one of the Infinity RPG is running late. They are still working on the core rule book and the other books of wave one, the physical copies of them should have/be shipping this month. I have a strong feeling that wave one will be more like April/May time. Let us just hope that it will not be as bad as Mekton, which the PDF copy of the main rule book was meant to ship in December 2013 and we are STILL waiting for it.

Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. On the Arcadia Quest Inferno KickStarter they have posted the fourth part of making Sarya.

Lastly on other gaming news Nintendo have revealed that in the holiday period of 2016 they will be releasing the next generation of Pokemon games. Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Sun. Oh and Pokemon celebrates 20 years today.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 12th February 2016

Welcome everyone to the “Gaming News from Neoscream” post. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs and some card games, as well as my miniatures painting and upcoming local events.

“Gaming News”

First off we have the Bushiroad news. With Cardfight Vanguard, next Friday will see the release of G Technical Booster 1 "The Reckless Rampage in English and both G Trial Deck 8 "Vampire Princess of the Nether Hour" and the G Booster Set 6 "Transcension of Blade and Blossom" in Japanese.

Next is the HeroClix news. This week we got previews of: Robotman, Mento, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and The Chief from DC World's Finest. They have decided to change their idea of the changes to the cards. The dial will now be of the back of the card and ALL the abilities and traits will be crammed onto the front of the card. With that a new ruling will be coming to play, your opponent can not see the back of your cards now. Personally I thinks this is even a worst idea as it forces people to buy card sleeves and it crams information that at time barely fits on one two side on of side. The font on that will be far too small. If they what a copy on the dial on a card and do not want you to show your opponent it then paint it on a second card.

Now for the Mantic news. Since last week’s post The Walking Dead All Out War KickStarter has managed to unlock: The KickStarter exclusive character Michonne; six Barricades; a scenery booster pack as an add-on that will ship in wave two; the characters Carol and Sophia.

The stretch goals that are still going as I post this are: Six more Walkers, four more Equipment cards and four more Event cards at $280k; the Greene Farm Expansion that will ship in wave two at $300k; the character Glenn that will ship in wave two at $310k; and a Walker version of Ronnie at 2250 backers.
Sadly I do not know at the moment when Wave Two is meant to ship.
Also with Warpath, they have revealed images of the The Plague "upgraded" version of the GCPS Hornet.

Next is the IDW games "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past" KickStarter news. Since the last post they have managed to unlock: The five Street Thug Brawlers tokens will be replaced with figures; the Hero dice will be upgraded to the colour of the Turtles; six Foot Ninjas will be upgraded to Foot Elite; Evil Pizza Tokens; three Foot Ninjas will be replaced with Foot Brawlers; KickStarter exclusive Hero Splinter; nine KickStarter exclusive Mousers; a KickStarter exclusive Save the Studio mission and map.
The stretch goals that are still going as I post this are: A Eastman Lithograph at $451k; six more KickStarter exclusive Mousers at $460k; and the ickStarter exclusive Save the Studio mission will be upgraded to a campaign with a Kevin Eastman ally card.

Now for the Modiphius news. Most of wave two of the Thunderbirds Co-Operative Board Game is now on boats from China to the distribution centres. The only thing that has not shipped is the RPG rulebook which was delayed. It should be being air shipped when Chinese New Year is over and they should be arrive about the same time as the sea shipped stuff arrive at the distribution centres.

Lastly there is the Frostgrave news. They have revealed that with the next expansion book "The Breeding Pit", they will be releasing a new hard plastic kit. This time it is Gnolls. There is currently no details if you can use them in your warband or if they are just monsters to fight against in the campaign.

“KickStarter Dates”

• Wave three of “Kingdom Death Monster” (December 2013), wave two of “Journey Wrath of Daemons” (July 2014), “Mekton Zero” (digital December 2013, physical March 2014), “Paranoia” (June 2015), wave two of “Shadows of Brimstone” (August 2014), “Zero Agents” (December 2015) and wave two of “Robotech RPG Tactics” (December 2013) have all been delay due to problems and currently have no dates on when these will start shipping.
