Neoscream's Life: 20th to 26th April 2015

The Mars Attacks Martians Team
Welcome to the new Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of what games I have been playing and what I have watch.

“Blog News”

If you have not read last Thursday's non video post you will know last week was a really busy one. They were something I had left out and something I need to add to that list of stuff. The thing I left out as I forgot and it was not important at the time was that I started work early on Monday due to cleaning the shake/ice cream machine. However due to the spear parts we have been waiting for have finally arrived, I got called up LATE Thursday night (as I was heading home from HeroClix) from the Baka saying that I had to come in about two hours early (8am instead of 9:45am) to re do the machine again with the new beeping parts. So that makes it late nights every night and early mornings on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday with no time for lay in to catch up with sleep on the other mornings. Lucky I did not nod off while out and about, apart from a little on the car journey home on Sunday.

“Arcadia Quest”

On Monday I finally got in some four player games of Arcadia Quest with Bob, Michael and Reece. We got in two missions from the original campaign book which were “District of Hammers” and “The Moon Gate”. I must say that three/four player games of Arcadia Quest is much more fun than two player ones.

“HeroClix”

Like normal on a Thursday, I went to York House and finally we got to play the "War of Kings" scenario. The rules for it was (yes they did change slightly): Each team must contain exactly one (and no more) figure with the Ruler keyword. Each Ruler gains Mastermind. If a Ruler KO's another Ruler, they get an additional 50 victory points. The build was 500 points and three Actions. There was no Michael, however we had Roxy instead. I was using a Shi’ar themed team who were:

Shi'ar Soldier (007 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 45 x 2 = 90
Oracle (005 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 49
Starbolt (019 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 85
Korvus (022 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 64
Smasher (036 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 86
Lilandra (052 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 93
Shi'ar Borderer (008 Marvel Supernova) 33
=500 points.

On the first round I was up against Adrian who was using an Avengers themed team who were (I might have made a mistake or two here):

Rogue (021 Marvel Convention Exclusive) 99
Scarlet Witch (006 Marvel Avengers vs X-Men) 100
Black Panther (007 Marvel Avengers vs X-Men) 100
94 FI018 Iron Fist (018 Marvel Fear Itself) 94
Iron Man (002 Marvel Avengers vs X-Men) 100
=493 points.

I managed to win this game, but it was close and I did have a bit of bad luck. Two beeping double ones. Also Darren S won his game against Roxy.  In the next round I was up against Darren S who was using a Brotherhood of Mutants themed team who were:

Pyro (006 Marvel Days of Future Past) 90
Destiny (011 Marvel Days of Future Past) 50
Black Tom Cassidy (044 Marvel Deadpool) 57
Magneto (053 Marvel Giant-Size X-Men) 189
Juggernaut (032 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 115
=501 points.

Like normal Darren S won, but he only has two figures left standing. Also Adrian won his game against Roxy. On the third and final round I was up against Roxy who was using a Hand themed team (which I made) who were:

Northstar (013 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 75
Mandarin (030 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 136 + Mento-Intensifier Ring (S005 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 8 + Black Light (S008 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 8 = 152
Silver Samurai (044 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 100
Wolverine (009 Marvel Giant-Size X-Men) 103
Psylocke (023 Marvel Giant-Size X-Men) 74
=504 points.

I managed to win this game with only losing one figure. Also Adrian shockingly won his game against Darren S.

Over all due to points I got third place with two wins out of three games.

On this Thursday we should be playing (unless things change) the “Heroclix Wrestling” scenario. Step right up to witness the big fight between the best heroclix bruisers money can buy! Only figures with no range allowed. Any powers that grant range will not be able to be used, Fists, swords and claws only need apply to join this fight. 500 points, 5 actions, no figure over 150 points.

“Painting and Converting”

This post I have for you two Mantic BattleZone Terrain Urban sprues.

The next post should be one more Mantic BattleZone Terrain Urban sprue, Mantic BattleZone Terrain Fort sprue and three Goblin Archers from Arcadia Quest.

During the week I have finished painting seven more Zombicide figures and undercoating a ton of figures.

Sorry just noticed it is blurry and I do not have the time to retake it.

Salute 2015

Welcome all to my Salute 2015 post. Unlike the past two years where I post pictures and little content on my blog and then edit them the next day, this year I posted all the pictures on Twitter which then get automatically posted on Facebook and then a big post of the event with all my pictures of the event when I can. Apart from a little chaos (underground being one of them), everything went well with tweeting. I even got several new followers, several posts were favoured and there was a couple of comments on Facebook (family).

Well, where to begin. It was a good time out. Sadly I could not find everything I was looking for. These were magnets to use on my Robotech RPG Tactics stuff, figures to use as M and Q for my Bond team for 7TV and some Zombicide bits I was after. But I did get some interesting stuff. Here is a list of the stuff:

·         The goody bag that came free with my ticket that has the 2015 figure, the 2015 dice, the 2015 programme, a fire arc template (useless to me) and a ton of flyers.
·         A second copy of the 2015 figure as it has two weapon and head options. (£2)
·         A fifty pot paint stand. (£5)
·         Two packs of ten 30mm resin bases from Secret Weapon for my Cygnar Warmachine stuff. (£6 each)
·         A pack of two 40mm resin bases Micro Art Studio for my Convergence Warmachine stuff. (£3)
·         A Torii from Plast Craft Games. (£4)
·         Seven pots of Vallejo paint (the brand I normally use). Light Flesh, Heavy Green, Sun Yellow, Chainmail Silver, Squid Pink, Heavy Orange and Charred Brown. (£10)
·         Peter Pan and Tinkerbell from Tale of War in a bargain bin. (£4)
·         Matlal the Elder from Deepwars in a bargain bin. (£3)
·         Snooper from Sphere Wars in a bargain bin. (£4)
·         Collector from Sphere Wars in a bargain bin. (£3)
·         A pack of three resin base inserts from Dark Age in a bargain bin. (£1)
·         A 100mm resin base from Secret Weapon in a bargain bin. (£3)
·         Cirae from Joek Minis. (£5)
·         Baby Doll New Hope from Agora Miniatures. (£8)
·         A pack of six pure red sable paint brushes. (£8) I decided to not go for better quality brushes as brushes do not long with me sadly.
·         Close Combat Futura from Infamy Black Market. (£15)
·         An Arcane Tempest Gun Mage Office from Warmachine. (£5.35)
·         A purple dice bag. (£2.50)

I shockingly only spent £108.85. Less than the last two years of Salute and everything into my backpack. No extra bags being carried, however I did sadly lost my hat. Face palm.

This year’s theme was Agincourt and it did not really stand out. The only real place I remember seeing the apart from the event goodies at the South London Warlords stand (the people who run the event). I did not get a demo game of beta second edition 7TV in, but I did watch a demo being played and chatted to the person running it afterwards about second edition. I was planning on reposting all the pictures of the event here. However as the is about eighty of them and I have to add one at a time, so it will take too. So here is my Twitter @Neoscream where you can find them all. The labels for this post also includes the pictures from the Twitter post

Until next time, hope for a better tomorrow.

"Not" Gaming News from Neoscream: 23rd April 2015

Welcome everybody. This should have been a "Gaming News from Neoscream" but sadly this week has ended up being too busy to do one. In fact next week’s "Neoscream's Life" will most likely be pushed back a day or two due to posting Salute 2015 coverage. Here is a break down on how busy is week has/will be:

·         Working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
·         Hair cut and playing Arcadia Quest on Monday evening/night.
·         Roxy popping over Tuesday night.
·         Meet up with friends for drinks Wednesday night.
·         Building two HeroClix team and shopping for a new shirt for Sunday Thursday day.
·         HeroClix Thursday night.
·         Meet up with friends (including Simon) for drinks (instead of role-play which was the original plan Friday night. Plus I need to pack my bag for Salute in between work and going out.
·         Up early Saturday morning to go to London for Salute by train.
·         When I am back in Milton Keynes (roughly between 7:30pm and 8pm) I will be meeting up with my mates to go watch Avengers Age of Ultron to celebrate Roxy's birthday.
·         Leave home at about 9:30am with my parents for a christening with no clue when I am getting back.
·         Oh and chatting (up) to a friend Bowtie88 in the mornings online.

I have included the "Up and Coming Events" and the "Painting and Converting" sections that is normal in the "Gaming News from Neoscream". "Up and Coming Events" has been updated to include the next Mantic Open Day that is on the 6th of May.

With the Salute coverage this year, I will be posting picture on Twitter instead of here during the event and then doing a write-up post when I can. I what to keep this as its own post than combining it with another post like "Neoscream's Life". I am doing it this way at I have no automate tweets any more when I do a post, just automatic Facebook posts. This is because Twitter thought my account was just a bot account and had block it for a period of time.

"Up and coming Events"

These are local gaming events in Milton Keynes I know of, Guardians of Tyr events at Wargames Workshop Northampton and other events I plan on going to or want to advertise.

·         On Saturday the 3rd of May 2015, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Star Wars X-Wing tournament at Wargames Workshop MK. This event is sold out.
·         The weekend of the 9th and 10th of May will be Campaign. Yes It Is back from a one year break and will be back in the Centre MK.

Wargames Workshop MK has a £2 gaming fee or £4 with a pack of Magic the Gathering cards unless it is a paid tournament run by Guardians of Tyr (not including High Command). Weekday events normally start “playing” at 7PM.

For rules for Guardians of Tyr tournaments and leagues as well as information on pre booking your place in tournament. Pre booking is highly recommended so they know how many people are coming. So please go to their website which there is a link to it under my links section which are located on the right hand side of this blog.

York House has a £3 on the day gaming fee and a £5 fee for a year’s membership. However the first day is free and they only take yearly membership fee at the start of the year. The Hall officially opens at 7PM, but normally people start arrived 15 to 20 minutes early.

Neoscream's Life: 13th to 19th April 2015

The Rebs Team
Welcome to the new Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of what games I have been playing and what I have watch.

“Blog News”

Due to a VERY busy weekend this week, I will be doing the “Gaming News from Neoscream” post on Thursday. I have some ideas of new images for the blog which I will ever upload on Thursday or sometime next week. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you would have seen examples. I am using my colossal Transformers Cybertron Starscream in some photos basically.

“Arcadia Quest”

On Thursday we ended up playing the final mission of the KickStarter campaign "The Nameless". Darren S ended up winning the quest meaning he won the campaign. With the medals: I got Most Coins and Won Rewards; Darren S got Least Deaths, Won Titles and Winners; and Michael/Adrian got none. This meant Darren’s victory was a Decisive one.

“WWE Extreme Rules”

This coming Sunday is the WWE pay-per-view “Extreme Rules” and here are the matches that are currently down.

Dolph Ziggler verses Sheamus in a “Kiss Me Arse” match.
Roman Reigns verses Big Show in a “Last Man Standing” match.
United States Champion John Cena verses Rusev in a Russian Chain match for the title.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins verses Randy Orton in a Cage match for the title were the RKO is banned.
Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan verses Bad News Barrett. Currently there are no special rules for this match.
WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella verses Paige. There are no special rules for this match at the moment and I dealt that there will be as it is a Divas match. The only thing that will most likely happen is that Naomi would be added to the match to make it a three way.

“Painting and Converting”

This post I have for you two Asterian Kalyshi Prone tokens, sponsor Blaine, The Warden and a Free Agent all from DreadBall Xtreme.

The next post should be four more Free Agents from DreadBall Xtreme and two Dwarf X-Guard and a Soldier for 7TV.

Due to there being no more weekly AJ Lee section to this blog and the fact that this is a post of my life, I have decided to move the part of the on what painting I have done from “Gaming News from Neoscream” to “Neoscream’s Life”. I just have to remember to take a photo of the painting table on Sunday night/Monday morning.

During the week (well three days) I have finished painting a whopping twenty one Zombicide figures including undercoating them. I would have undercoated more stuff, however I ran out of Black undercoat. Due to a VERY busy week this week I cannot see me doing much painting. But they should be a ton of undercoating when I got more Black undercoat (well I did yesterday).

MARVEL'S ANT-MAN Trailer 2 (2015) Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas

STAR WARS Episode 7 TRAILER # 2

Gaming News from Neoscream: 17th April 2015

Welcome to the “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games, my painting and upcoming local events.

“Gaming News”

First off we have the HeroClix news. We got previews of: Nova from Marvel Avengers Assemble.

Next the Stonehaven Miniatures news. This week they decided to show all the greens from their Half-Orc Adventurers KickStarter. The pledge manager will be ending at the end of April.

Now for the Ninja Division news. With the Ninja All Stars KickStarter the goals unlock since last week’s post were: The Moonlight Tournament Trophy was added to both pledge levels; the Ronin Onryo was added to both pledge levels; the Ronin Mochizuki as an add-on; the Ronin Hanzo was be added to both pledge levels; the Ronin Tengu was added to both pledge levels; and the Ronin Kappa was added to both pledge levels.
The currently Stretch Goals that were still going as I post this was: The Ronin Blind Swordsman as an add-on at $350k; six more Lanterns will be added to both pledge levels at $365k; and the Ronin Inu of Clan Kaiken will be added to both pledge levels at $380k; the Ronin Yokozuna as an add-on at $390k; an extra Oni will be added to each clan at $400k; the Sun Empire Wandering Samurai as an add-on at $420k; the Ronin Onibaba will be added to both pledge levels at 2,500 backers.
This KickStarter will be ending on Tuesday so let us see what they can unlock between now and then.

Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. After finally having a look at the stuff for Zombicide Season Three and getting a couple of games in, I have noticed some problems. First if you had not brought the Crows or Ultimate Survivors box sets as add-ons, you do not have rules for the free Crows or Experience deck you got at both Infected and Patient 0 level. Well only until PDFs for them are released. The next problem is that the gaming boards are bent slightly in the middle so the boards will not lay flat next to each other. Lastly there is a confusion about spawn points in Angry Neighbours with missions that uses Rue Morgue as the core set as there are missions with spawn points with out numbers. Do they spawn on top of the number of randomised ones or do they spawn and reduce the number of randomised rolls?

Now for the Mantic news. The D.O.G drones from the Deadzone Infestation KickStarter is being redesigned and I really like the new concept.

Next is the Guild Ball news. My Guild Ball team arrived last Friday just after last week's post and there was a major disappointment with it. The goal that was a pole that was upgraded to a Guild specific version from the first stretch goal, was now a medallion style goal (well basically a base insert) that has the Guild Ball logo. The pole looks cooler but I am fine with the medallion style, but it should have been the guild's logo than the generic Guild Ball one. OK this new goal is now a Kickstarter Exclusive and the retail teams will not include a goal any more now, but this is the biggest bull sh** I have ever seen on KickStarter. They did not even told backers about the change until people started complaining, and they skipped out of the first stretch goal. Sorry that! That is just terrible. I can understand why the done the change, but not saying to backers about it during design or production is just terrible.
The original design of the goal for Guild Ball
Other than that everything else was quite good. The team I got was the Masons Guild, I also picked up Tower and the Union member I picked was Snakeskin. Wish I had insert bases for both Tower and Snakeskin.

Now for the Yashima: Legend of the Kami Master news. The pledge manager is slowly rolling out to backers now. Also they have been a change to shipping. The base game will be available to ship in July, but the all the extras will not be ready until the fourth quarter of 2015. Backer will have the option to divide the shipment into two, but at an extra cost to postage and packing.

Next is the Dungeon Architect Cards. The PDFs are now up for download for the backers of this KickStarter.

The new goal for Guild Ball. Does not come painted
and this was not painted by me.
Lastly we have the Last Saga news. Just over half of the figures have finish production and the rest is currently in production.

This post's DreadBall Xtreme figures

The next post should be two Asterian Kalyshi Prone tokens, sponsor Blaine and The Warden all from DreadBall Xtreme.

During the week I have finished painting one more spue of BattleZone terrain and twelve Arcadia Quest figures. I am currently working on a BEEP ton of Zombicide figure including undercoating them.

Until next time, hope for a better tomorrow.
