Cosplay Deviants: 24th to 30th June 2013

Psycho Mantis from the
Metal Gear games
Demonika in "Psycho"
Welcome the Cosplay Deviants post, this is where I post PG rated previews of the week’s sets from the site Cosplay Deviant and sometime talk a bit about them too.

On Monday there was a new set from the new deviant Demonika. The set is called Psycho and in it she cosplays as a female version of Psycho Mantis from the Metal Gear games.

The fantastic Jsica in "Alter Ego"
Catwoman

On Wednesday there was a new set from the fantastic deviant Jsica. The set is called Alter Ego and in it she cosplays as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman from the Batman comics. Yet another awesome set from the great Jsica.

Tiny Tina  from Borderlands 2
Nerdee in "Boom Puppy"

On Saturday there was a new set from the deviant Nerdee. The set is called Boom Puppy and in it she cosplays as Tiny Tina from the Borderlands game.

This week’s Cosplay Cards section I have done an updated cards for Bear, Jsice and Nerdee. Bear kindly commented on last week’s post that she was Cosplaying as Kiden Nixon from the X-Men (NYX) comics. Thanks for letting me know.

Until next time, Armour Up.

MK HeroClix: 27th June - Super Cheese

Welcome to the MK HeroClix post. This is a weekly post with HeroClix news and results of Thursday's HeroClix game at MK Wargames Society at York House. This week there were previews Zachary Hale Comstock from Bioshock Infinity; and the X-Men Blue Strike Force team dial, Wolverine, Cyclops, Gambit, Jubilee, Beast, Psylocke and Rogue from Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men.

This week was “No More Gotham”. 500 points, 3 actions, DC only, the “Gotham City” keyword does not exist. Roxi was with us this week as she was in Milton Keynes for the Formula One. I was using an Injustice League team who were:

Deathstroke (020 DC Justice League) 120 + The Society (ATA) 3 = 123
Lex Luthor (004 DC Fast Forces Superman) 50 173
Zoom (036 DC Arkham Asylum) 130 303
Bizarro #1 (048 DC Arkham Asylum) 199
=502 points and four re-rolls.

On the first round I was up against Adrian. He was using a Teen Titans theme team who were:

Supergirl (010 DC Superman) 200
Liberty Belle (010 DC Crisis) 84
Nightwing (029 DC Crisis) 79
Roy Harper (104 DC Crisis) 53
Raven (030 DC Icons) 73
=489 points and four re-rolls.

Sadly I ended up losing this game. Mainly due to the Super Cheesy Supergirl. On the second round I got the bye. On the third round I was up against Michael. He was using a Metropolis team that was not themed due to numbers who were:

Superman (001 DC Superman) 300
Lois Lane, Superwoman (009 DC Superman) 89
Lex Luthor (015 DC Superman) 109
=498 points and four re-rolls.

Again I lost due to Super Cheesy figures, but Bizarro's high defence kept the game going for some time. This was a win in Bizarro's mind. On the fourth and final round I was up against Darren. He was using a Justice League International team who were:

Batman (001 DC Batman) 100 + Justice League: Generation Lost (ATA) 3 = 103
Rocket Red (035 DC Batman) 102 + Justice League: Generation Lost (ATA) 3 = 105
August General in Iron (038 DC Batman) 142 + Justice League: Generation Lost (ATA) 3 145
Booster Gold (052 DC Batman) 98 + Justice League: Generation Lost (ATA) 3 = 101
Ice (007 DC 75th Anniversary) 47 + Justice League: Generation Lost (ATA) 3 = 50
=504 points and four re-rolls.

Like normal against Darren I lost. Oh for anyone who wants to know what team Roxi's was using, she was using an Amazon team I put together for her who were:

Wonder Woman (023 DC Arkham Asylum) 248 + Amazons (ATA) 4 = 252
Amazon (005 DC Brave and the Bold) 50 + Amazons (ATA) 4 = 54 x 3 = 162
Phillipus (027 DC Brave and the Bold) 84 + Amazons (ATA) 4 = 88
=502 points and four re-rolls.

Next week should be the start of a special tournament that Darren is running. He will bring four 600 point team each week for eight weeks. One DC heroes, one DC villains, one Marvel heroes and one Marvel villains. We will each take it in turns using the team. The top two teams of each week will move on to the next round. This week will be “The Legion of Superheroes”, “Phantom Zone”, “Defenders” and "Masters and Minions" (Doom and Kang).

Until next time, Armour Up.

Neoscream's Life: 17th to 23th of June 2013

NEX-055 Baund Doc (Mobile Armour mode)
For real this time
Welcome to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I have done last week and news on stuff from Crooked Dice Games, Mantic Game, Robotech RPG Tactics, Mekton and the Geek Goddess AJ Lee.

I took in my laptop Computer into Currys and PC World on Monday for a software check-up. As there internet has been down all weekend they said that there will be a delay. They will contact my ever on Wednesday or Thursday to let me know that is going on. Hopefully it will be fix by then. I have switched from the old computer to my mum’s laptop (NOT THE CRAP DELL she once had) as the old computer was slow. It is about eight years old. The only problem I have with this new laptop is that the space button is a bit stiff and the track pad can be a bit of a pain at times. This may be due to the lack of use as my mum only really uses it for half an hour a week if it is lucky. But is not the Dell crapbook so I am happy using it. I got my laptop back on Thursday. Chrome is now work fine and the overheat problems have been fix too. The only problem they found which I never knew about was the Ethernet port was not working, they did not had the time to fix it but as I use the wireless it was not important and left it to next time I SEND it off. Which might be soon as the "DOWN" button has came off during the weekend.

Now for the Mantic news. They have revealed sculpts for the Nameless Spawn for DreadBall, angels for Kings of War and several new Goblin and Ogre bits that will be out next month for Kings of War. Mantic has added to their store several more pre-orders. This time with several new Orc and Undead armies, as well as the Undead Vampiress Lady Ilona.

Nameless Spawn from DreadBall
On the Crooked Dice Games this week they have revealed alternate character creation rule that deal with stats. How office these are is still up in the air. Will they replace the old one in a rules update? Fairer alternative rules that will get a PDF and/or book release with alternate SMG rules in the future? Just optional rules that are hidden somewhere randomly on the forums? I have no clue. Here is the post from Graeme@Crooked Dice:

"Here's my (almost) official suggestion for how to increase stats:

Archetype Stat Adds

Increasing stats now costs a variable amount depending on the increase desired; increasing any stat higher and higher now costs the number of adds as given on the table below.

Stat Increase To (Adds Required)
2, 3 or 4 (1)
5 or 6 (2)

Stats increase one point at a time; so increasing from 3 to 5 would cost 3 adds: 3 to 4 (1 add) then 4 to 5 (2 adds). Stats cannot be increased to higher than 6. Hits cannot be increased.”

I have asked does this might include the Move stat, however there has not been a reply to the question yet. Oh and Argonauts Programme Guide should be coming out on the first week of July. Due to this I will have to redo most of my 7TV teams. I will be posting redone teams as images starting with my Martial Arts Detective School team at 100, 200 and 300 rating on Wednesdays starting from tomorrow.

There has been no Robotech RPG Tactics or OVA this week.

Next is the Mekton Zero KickStarter news. It was a week was the last week KickStarter. The stretch goals that we unlocked and other things being added on or revealed since last week’s post were: All backers at Citizen level and above will get the PDF of “Battle Guide: The Kalidur Island Front”; the physical book is hard back and fully coloured; and everyone at Citizen level and above will receive one Uru Killer Miniature and everyone at Ace Level and above will get two Uru Killer Miniatures instead of just one. It managed to make $50,125 and had 618 backers.

Next is WWE Payback and the fall-out. I will be making this short as I been busy westing time on mobile phone games (D.O.T. and Divine Armaments). Sheamus defeated Damien Sandow in their Kickoff Match. Sadly Sandow is still targeting Sheamus with his partner Cody Rhodes. Paul Heyman’s new client Curtis Axel pinned Wad Barrett while the Miz had Barrett in the Figure Four Leg Lock in the triple threat match for Intercontinental Champion. As I revealed last week AJ Lee defeated Kaitlyn and is now the GREATEST Divas Champion of all time. It looks like she has made Stephanie McMahon jealous. United States Champion Dean Ambrose defeat Kane via Count-out and Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins defeated team R-K-No (Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan). Now Orton and Bryan are fighting ageist each other. The returning CM Punk defeat Chris Jericho. CM Puck drop Heyman from his side on Raw and now Brock Lesnar is gunning for him. Alberto Del Rio kept on brutally attacking Dolph Ziggler head, even when officials tried to check on Dolph. This led to Del Rio winning the World Heavyweight Championship and the hatred of the fans. Dolph was meet to be off as he was not medically cleared to be on show, but he came out of nowhere on both Raw and Smackdown (without AJ and Big E). He was meant to be back this week on Raw, but I do not think he will be due to the blows Del Rio dealt to his head after Jericho hit him with the Code Breaker for costing him the match. Lastly the Three Stages of Hell Match between WWE Champion John Cena and Ryback. Ryback won the first match which was a Lumberjack Match. Cena won the second one which was a Tables Match. Then in the third match was an Ambulance Match was won by Cena when he slam Ryback though the top of the Ambulance.

AJ's Divas of Summer photo
Now for what AJ Lee has been up to this past week. Well like I said in last week’s post and above AJ became the Diva’s Champion at Payback. AJ appeared on Raw reporting that Dolph was off with injured again and then talk about how she has always been a champion and now has proof. Stephanie McMahon came out. She congratulates AJ. She then move on to say that she does not understand why AJ is perpetuating the stereotype that women are trying to tear each other down, that what AJ did to Kaitlyn was degrading and that AJ should grow up and act like a real champion. First off AJ is acting like you stereotypical (villain/anti-hero) champion and second all this coming out of Stephanie’s mouth. Major hypocrite or what? Kaitlyn and several of the Divas came out. Stephanie was not happy that Kaitlyn interrupted her, but let her of this time ONLY due to what she has been thought and then Stephanie left. Kaitlyn chatted for a moment and then she attacked AJ. Big E pulled AJ out of the ring and the Diva’s Championship and carried her kicking and screaming out of the arena. AJ also had a match of Smackdown against Natalya which AJ won.

We now move on to the Watch, Listen and Read section of the blog post:

Model Painting: 24th June 2013

Welcome to another Model Painting post. This post will normally happen on ever on a Monday.

I managed to up this week to a ten points instead of the seven points again, but I messed up with the photos and done some of the figures next week instead of some of one of figure for this week, making it eleven points. I ended up with the remaining four bushes two Robot Strikers, two Robot Guards, the MVP Halder, the final Cheerleader (Cosplay Deviants style) and two Silicon Spy Bots instead of the Robot Jack.

This week's Group shot
The second group of plants
Front view of the first group of Robot player, plus the MVP Firewall but missing a Guard and a Striker
Rear view of the first group of Robot player, plus the MVP Firewall and missing players
Cosplay Deviants Cheerleaders vs, Iron Man Cheerleaders
Sorry about the glare
Front view of the MVP Halder
Rear view of the MVP Halder
Due to something I will be posting talking about in tomorrows Neoscream's Life post. I will have to redo most of my 7TV teams. So on Wednesdays I will be posting redone teams as images starting with my Martial Arts Detective School team at 100, 200 and 300 ratings.

Next week should be at least the miss Robot Jack, a Silicon Warrior, Silicon Repair Bot and the DreadBall Stadium.

Until next time, Armour Up.

Cosplay Deviants: 17th to 23th June 2013

Princess Peach from the
Mario game
Polly Vicious in "Pixel Princess"
Welcome the Cosplay Deviants post, this is where I post PG rated previews of the week’s sets from the site Cosplay Deviant and sometime talk a bit about them too.

On Monday there was a new set from the new deviant Polly Vicious. The set is called Pixel Princess and in it she cosplays as Princess Peach from the Mario games.

Domi in "The Detested"
Oerba Yun Fang from
Final Fantasy XIII

On Wednesday there was a new set from the deviant Domi. The set is called The Detested and in it she cosplays as Oerba Yun Fang from Final Fantasy XIII.

Bear in "Standstill"
Meiko from Vocaloid

On Saturday there was a new set from the deviant Bear. The set is called Standstill. Sadly again I do not 100% know who she is cosplaying, this is really becoming a problem with Saturday sets.

This week’s Cosplay Cards section I have done an updated cards for Domi and a new card for Mery Jane as I have finally find out she cosplayed as Meiko from Vocaloid last week. STILL do not who Star Pixie cosplayed in the set Wonderful four weeks ago.

Oh and here are some team abilities:

Until next time, Armour Up.

MK HeroClix: 20th June - Thought The Decades part three

Welcome to the MK HeroClix post. This is a weekly post with HeroClix news and results of Thursday's HeroClix game at MK Wargames Society at York House. This week there were previews Celeborn from the Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring; Booker Dewitt, Elizabeth, Daisy Fitzroy, Handyman, Automated Stallion and Flankman from Bioshock Infinity; and two versions of Magneto and X-Man from Wolverine and the X-Men.

This week is the third and final week of a three week campaign calling “Thought The Decades”. Pick a character. On the first week was 400 points, no figure over 100 points including add-ons, you must have the chosen character at Rookie level. On the second week is 500 points, no figure over 200 points, you must have the chosen character at Experience level. And finally on the third and final week it will be 600 points, no figure over 300 points, you must have the chosen character at Veteran level. I went for Iron Man, Darren went for Doctor Strange, Adrian went for Storm and Michael went for War Machine as our chosen characters. Also this week we started using the new 2013 rules. This week my team was:

Iron Man Mk 42 (101 Marvel Iron Man 3) 300
Ant-Man (026 Marvel Chaos War) 43
Nick Fury (040 Marvel Chaos War) 45
Maria Hill (011 Marvel Avengers Movie) 51
Agent Coulson (206 Marvel Avengers Movie) 50
Kitty Pryde (055 Marvel Captain America) 111
=600 points and four re-rolls.

The coming S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show
This was a S.H.I.E.L.D. theme team. On the first round I was up against Michael. He was using a non theme team who were:

Black Panther (106 Marvel Universe) 27
Scarlet Witch (052 Marvel Fantastic Forces) 35
SHIELD Sniper (005 Marvel Sinister) 22
Jessica Jones (021 Marvel Sinister) 51
War Machine (069 Marvel Armour Wars) 124
Marvel Girl (001 Marvel Mutations and Monsters) 40
Iron Man (021 Marvel Secret Invasion) 188
Mr. Fantastic (101 Marvel Secret Invasion) 100
=587 points and no re-rolls.

I managed to do a lot of damage to his team, but sadly I did not knock out any of his stuff and he knock out a couple of mine. So I sadly lost.. Also Darren won his game ageist Adrian. On the second round I was up against Adrian. He was using an X-Men team who were:

Storm (020 Marvel HeroClix 10th Anniversary) 98
Iceman (006 Marvel Fast Forces Giant-Size X-Men) 75
Colossus (012 Marvel Mutations and Monsters) 158
Bishop (014 Marvel Mutations and Monsters) 100
Forge (085 Marvel Sinister) 84
Archangel (104 Marvel Giant-Size X-Men) 86
=601 points and four re-rolls.

Sadly I lost this game. Also Darren won his game ageist Michael. On the third and final round I was up against Darren. He was using a Midnight Sons team who were:

Morbius (028 Marvel Amazing Spider-Man) 133
Ghost Rider (046 Marvel Amazing Spider-Man) 145
Blade (207 Marvel Amazing Spider-Man) 93
Jennifer Kale (035 Marvel Amazing Spider-Man) 77
Dr. Strange (033 Marvel Secret Invasion) 149
=597 points and for re-rolls.

Like normal against Darren I lost. The Midnight Sons team was nasty. Michael won his game against his brother Adrian.

Next week should be 500 points, 3 actions, DC only, the “Gotham City” keyword does not exist. Also Roxi might be gaming with us too.

Until next time, Armour Up.

Neoscream's Life: 10th to 16th of June 2013

NRX-055 Baund Doc (Mobile Armour mode)!!!
No! It is new Diva's Champion, The Geek Goddess AJ Lee
Welcome to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I have done last week and news on stuff from Crooked Dice Games, Mantic Game, Robotech RPG Tactics, Mekton and the Geek Goddess AJ Lee.

WWE Payback was aired on Sunday night/Monday (this week) morning, but like normal I should be talking about it next week post as I would not have watched it or gotten the results until this week. However, Twitter spoiled a major match for me and I just have to say (the opening picture this week will be a spoiler), congratulations to AJ Lee for winning the Diva’s Championship. Hope it will be the longest reign in WWE history. As reads of this blog should know, I am a HUGE AJ and this is a great moment. I have to buy the DVD (or Blu-Ray) now.

Monday was the finals of the Wargames Workshop MK DreadBall League. With the extra credits I earned during the previous game I brought a coaching dice. I was up against David in semi finals. He had a Corporation team. For most of the match David was winning, but at the last second I score a three point goal to win the match by a point. This meant I was in the finals. My guard Ginrai went up a rank and got the skill "Can't Feel a Thing". With the extra credits I earned during the semis I brought yet another coaching dice. Rob Taylor won his match against Bob. This meant that the finals was me verses Rob Taylor again. This time Rob Taylor won by a landslide in about twenty minutes. Well I did get second place in the league so that is fine with me. The only prize was a medal for first place. The Warmachine Journeyman League will be replacing the DreadBall League. It will start on the 8th of July and will be fortnightly instead of weekly like the the Journeymen League should be played. I will be joining this league. I would love to be able to do Convergence of Cyriss (especially after seeing the Clockwork Angels and the Warcaster Aurora, Numen of Aerogenesis), but sadly the Battle Gourp are not officially out until the 10th of July. Carl has said he will see if he can get a hold of them earlier I still have my Protectorate of Menoth as backup.

My team sheet at the end of the DreadBall League. Click on the image for
a closer look.
For a week or two before the start of last week I have been having some problems with Google Chrome, the web browser I use. It crashes and then keeps on crashing and restarting for god knows how many times. On Tuesday I ran a virus check and found nothing so I decided to uninstall and re-install Chrome thinking it was just corrupted data. But the re-install Chrome would not open. So I rebooted my laptop thinking maybe the program needed the computer to be rebooted.  After the reboot Chrome would open, however pages would not load. This includes things like the setting and download manager. As I find Microsoft Internet Explorer is very buggy, I tried installing Firefox as my friends uses it. Sadly Norton's for some unknown reason will not let me install it. WTF? So I was stuck with the buggy Internet Explorer. On Wednesday night I tried re-installing Chrome again, this time rebooting the laptop before I try using it, but it would not open and only after a second reboot did it open. Sadly it still would not load a page and now Internet Explorer crashes every time I try doing something that is not loading up a bookmarked page like typing, playing video and sometimes opening a link. So I had to start using my old computer (got to be eight years or more) gain and then on Thursday during my lunch break I popped into Curries and PC World to book in the laptop to be looked at next week. However due to the speed of the old computer I might need to borrow my mum's laptop.

There was more chaos Wednesday night, Thursday morning and Friday then laptop problems. On Wednesday evening when AraWhisper was online, MFC ‘F’ed up on me and it prevented me from logging in. Luckily I could log in the next morning. Then at 3AM on Thursday morning I was woken up and kept up by my mum's bloody Siamese howling as my mum was away on training. So the whole of Thursday at work I was shattered. Somehow I managed to win all three games at HeroClix. Then on Friday my mum came home late as she went to see the doctor after work as her knee was in a lot of pain. The doctor gave her stuff for the pain and told her to stay off her feet for a couple of days keeping the leg up. This meant that I could not go out on Sunday to a festival with Richard and Jake. This means I will not be seeing Richard until next month.

Saturday was the third Wargames Workshop MK DreadBall Tournament of the year. There were ten players this time, a lot better than the second Tournament. I went for my Robot team, the Chromium Chargers. With the 30mc we had for the tournament I brought two Coaching Dice, an offensive Coaching Staff (AJ Lee) and a card. In the first round I was up against Ricky.  He was using a Marauder team. It was a close but I managed to win by two points. My number five (P3) gained Man of the Match. It gained Stretch in the second round. In the second round I was up against Callum. He was using a bloody Judwan team. I lost by a landslide. However, he did teach me some tactics to use against Judwan afterwards which were great but never came into play. We had a break for lunch and then we had round three. I was up against Bob who was using a Robot team too instead of his normal Veer-Myn team. Sadly due to bad luck when trying to score I last by a landslide again. On the fourth and final round I was up against Leon. He was using a Season One Corporation team. It was a very close game but he managed to win by one point. So one win and three loses no great, but I am not giving up on my Chromium Chargers. I just have to get use to them and the other Season Two teams as this was the first time I played as and against Season Two teams. Over all I got eighth place out of ten players and now at fourth place in the Grand Championship. Sadly there will be no DreadBall games for me until the 24th of August now (over two months time) sadly unless I can get Richard and Darren or Roxi to play a game or more between now and then. For those instead there were one Season One Corporation team, two Marauder teams, one Season Two Corporation team, one Z'zor team, two Robot teams (including mine) and three bloody Judwan teams who guess what, got the top three places of the tournament. Judwan=CHEESE.

Alpha Simian
Now for the Mantic news. They have revealed the sculpts for the Marauders captain for Deadzone, a Rebel Sorak for Dedzone and Alpha Simian for DreadBall. As well as some of the CAD images of the Fortifications BattleZone, Landing Pad BattleZone, Forge Fathers Guard and the weapon platform for the Goblin Weapons Team. They have revealed what will be in shipment one and two for Deadzone and the survey should be up just before I post this post. The survey should be ending on the 21st of July and payment for the extra stuff is due by the start of October. I am considering getting some Rebel troops to boost my numbers or dropping Sergeant Howlett and the Faction Booster for the Booster Bundle deal.

There is no Crooked Dice Games and Robotech RPG Tactics news this week.

Next is OVA KickStarter news. It was a week was the last week KickStarter (well Monday this week was the last day). The stretch goals that we unlocked and other things being added on or revealed since last week’s post were: Two sets of buttons; all backers at Swift Samurai level and above will get the PDF of the second add-on book “OVA: Song of Sandsea”; and all backers of Bounty Hunter level and above will get a postcard picture of the Bounty Hunter Karis. It managed to make $112,065 and had 2,318 backers. Oh and I upgraded to Bounty Hunter level so I should be getting a physical copy of the main rulebook a dice with the image of the Missile Maiden Miho and a fantastic postcard picture of the Bounty Hunter Karis.

Next is the Mekton Zero KickStarter news. During the week the stretch goals that we unlocked were and other things being added on or revealed are: The symbols for the special Mekton dice have been revealed. Also the active stretch goals for the Mekton Zero KickStarter when I went to bed on Sunday night were: All backers at Citizen level and above will get the PDF of “Battle Guide: The Kalidur Island Front” at $35,000 still. We are now on the last week of this KickStarter. Let us see what can be unlocked in that space of time.

Now for what AJ Lee has been up to this past week. AJ appeared on Raw last week. First she was with Big E Langston and the returning World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler insulting Chris Jericho. This lead to a match between Jericho and Big E. Sadly Big E lost the match. Later AJ (with the help of Big E) was revealed the mastermind of evil revenge trick played on Kaitlyn. She made Kaitlyn believe she had a secret admirer. Kaitlyn ended up alienating herself from her friends. Now Kaitlyn is all alone. Revenge is best served cold. This also revealed the Kaitlyn will be defending her Divas Championship against AJ at Payback. Ok in real life I would have to say that I do not support what AJ did to Kaitlyn. However this is not real life and it is hard to think bad thoughts about that adorable AJ.

AJ and Kaitlyn on Raw last week
AJ also appeared on Smackdown last week too. She was supporting Big E and Dolph in their tag team match against Alberto Del Rio and Jericho. Sadly the team of Del Rio and Jericho won.

We now move on to the Watch, Listen and Read section of the blog post:
