Neoscream's Life: 22nd to 28th of February 2016

Welcome everybody to another the Neoscream's Life post. This is my weekly post of life, what games I have been playing, what I have been painting and what I have watching and reading. This week's opening pictures is of the Phenox from Kingdom Death.

"Life"

First off I like to amend a little mistake I made last week. I forgot to state that work did pay for most of the taxi fare (all bar 20p). However I still could not go to Cardfight Vanguard on Saturday.

Due to going to London this coming Friday (4th of March) to see the fabulous Foxes at the Round House, I decided to finally upgrade my phone from a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Sadly unless I spent something like £400 to £500 on a new phone (that is about to replace do in the market by the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, I cannot stay with 3. I managed to find a great deal at Carphone Warehouse. £30 up front and then £31 a month with unlimited calls and text and 7GB on 4G of data from Vodafone. Basically I will be paying £4 a month more.

On Monday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a game of Kingdom Death Monster. We were up against the Butcher. Original it was only going to be three survivors up against him, however as we were only a day out of the Valentines event, I decided to add the extra survivor so there was a full party against the Butcher. We managed to defeat him with only losing one survivor. Sadly it was one of our most experienced survivors. Due to the event we pulled one of the other survivors cannot make the next hunt. So it looks like two survivors against a level one White Lion and we cannot use our heavy gear.

Afterwards I meet up with Shell, Liam and Matt for some Cardfight Vanguard. I played two games against Shell with my Dimensional Robos and managed to win one. Me draw luck was better than it was the last time I played.

On Tuesday I went to the cinema with my friend Richard to watch Deadpool. We almost missed the film due to all the messing about from 3 when I tried cancelling my old contract. Deadpool was a great film. I was meant to see it again with Syed, however he cancelled on me at the last moment.

On Wednesday at work we finally had the audit which we did very well in. Shows what a refit can improve a store.

On Thursday I popped into CEX to see how much I could trade my old Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for. They offered me £82 cash or £116 store credit. I might do cash to have spending money/cash for my trip to London.

On Friday evening myself, Richard and Darren H went down to Simon's for some Kingdom Death. We decided to hunt down a level one Screaming Antelope. Thanks to how stupid it's AI deck seemed, we managed to defeat it easily (but not quickly).

On March 4th I will be heading to London  with my friend Richard. We are going to the Foxes concert at the Round House. However we are planning to leave Milton Keynes at about 9:20am to spend the day there. Our mean plans are to visit Forbidden Planet and Orc's Nest in the morning, then meet up with Darren H for lunch (he works in London) and then visit some of the markets. Due to the fact that my old phone was having battery and memory problems, I ended up deciding to get a new phone. However due to the fact that it will be a LONG day and that I will need the camera and flash for the Foxes concert, I have brought a second battery and I will be bringing my power pack and charger to try to keep it going. Do expect tweets with pictures though out the day and a blog post about it on ever Saturday or Sunday.

Due to this I have no clue when I will be doing the "Gaming News from Neoscream" post. If I can push it out quickly, it will be on Thursday. If I cannot get it done by then (I have strong doubts about it due to leave this post to the last minute to write), it will mostly be on the weekend.

"HeroClix"

Like normal on a Thursday night I went down to York House for some HeroClix. The scenario was a standard 500 points, however all specials rules on maps are in play.

I decided to do a Wreckers themed team due to the points. The team were:

Bulldozer (014 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 70 + Wrecking Crew (ATA) 2 = 72
Piledriver (027 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 125 + Wrecking Crew (ATA) 2 = 127
Thunderball (039 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 137 + Wrecking Crew (ATA) 2 = 139
Wrecker (050 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 155 + Wrecking Crew (ATA) 2 = 157
=495 points.

On the first round I was up against Darren S. He was using a Starjammers themed team who were:

Havok (024 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 81
Polaris (025 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 94
Korvus (022 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 64
Binary (043 Marvel Chaos War) 158
Ch'od (032 Marvel Giant Size X-Men) 101
=488 points.

Like normal Darren S won, however the map he chose was terrible for my team due to the lack of flyers and swimmers in my team. Also Adrian won his game against his brother Michael.

On the second round I was up against Michael. He was using an Brotherhood of Mutants themed team who were:

Magneto (015 Marvel HeroClix 10th Anniversary) 113
Scarlet Witch (006 Marvel WizKids Events) 75
Shadow King (043 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 122
Lady Deathstrike (030 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 76
Quicksilver (032 Marvel Chaos War) 111
=497 points.

It was a long game due to Shadow King, however I managed to win. Also Darren S won his game against Adrian.

On the third and final round I was up against Adrian. He was using a Green Lantern themed team who were:

Katma Tui (022 DC War of Light) 117
Rond Vidar (103 DC War of Light) 80 + Crossbow (Resource) 10 = 90
Guy Gardner (104 DC War of Light) 102 + Scissors (Resource) 8 = 110
Jade (106 DC War of Light) + Decoy (Resource) 6 = 157
=494 points

I somehow managed to win this game. Most likely due to luck. Also Darren S  won his game against Michael.

There is no game this week as I will be getting ready and having a early night as I have a very long and late day Friday at London.

"Loot Crate"

On Wednesday February's Loot Crate arrived. This time the theme was Dead with things from Deadpool and The Walking Dead. In it was:

A Deadpool Q-Fig Figure
A Deadpool Tacos T-Shirt
A McFarlane Toys The Walking Dead Big Head Figure
A The Walking Dead Soap-on-a-Rope
The February 2016 Loot Pin
The Dead Magazine

Over all I love the Deadpool stuff and could not give a stuff of the Walking Dead stuff.

March's theme will be Verses due to "Batman V Superman" and "Captain America Civil War".

"Painting and Converting"

For this post I have for you all two more XCOM soldiers and my Wizard from my Frostgrave warband.

Sorry still work on the focus of my new phone. The quality "should" be better than the old one as it is a better camera.

    Neoscream Life: 11th to 17th January 2016

Welcome everybody to another the Neoscream's Life post. This is my weekly post of life, what games I have been playing, what I have been painting and what I have watching and reading. I am still thinking about what to do as my weekly opening picture, so I decided to give you a poster of a film that will take Valentine's Day with a storm.

    "Life"

The week began with some bad news. The talented David Bowie has passed away. He will be greatly missed by all.
On Monday evening after work I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a game of Kingdom Death Monster with Bob and Michael. At the beginning we had six survivors at the Settlement. Two died fighting a Level One White Lion and one died during the Settlement phase. This has left us with just three Survivors and we are up against the Butcher in the next game. We are doomed in this campaign.
On Friday evening I went down to Simon’s with Richard and Darren H to also play so Kingdom Death Monster. In this campaign we are doing tons better. We started with a lot more Survivors at the beginning. We decided to go up against a level one Screaming Antelope and did quite well. We did not use any Survivors at all. Now like the campaign I am are playing at Wargames Workshop MK, the next game will be against the Butcher.
During the week I have had a major problem with a rash over my eyelets. On Wednesday I got some face cream as I could not get any eczema cream at that point of time. It made the skin not as dry, but by the look of things it just irritated the rash. In fact it looked like someone had punched me in the right eye. So on Friday on the way to Simon's I went to Tesco with Richard and picked up some eczema cream, which helped a ton. As I post this it has mostly cleared up.

    "HeroClix"

Like normal on a Thursday night, I went to York House for HeroClix. The Scenario this time was: "The Common People", 400 points, only Common Rarity Figures. I went for an Alpha Flight themed team who were:

    Guardian (011 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 100 + Alpha Flight (ATA) 4 = 104
    Aurora (012 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 75 + Alpha Flight (ATA) 4 = 79
    Northstar (011 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 75 + Alpha Flight (ATA) 4 = 79
    Box (008 Marvel Mutations and Monsters) 125 + Alpha Flight (ATA) 4 = 129
    =391 points

The first round I was up against Darren S who was using an Initiative theme team who were:

Hazmat (006 Marvel Avengers Assemble) 86
Mettle (007 Marvel Avengers Assemble)  88
    3-D Man (013b Marvel Avengers Assemble) 90
Rage (016 Marvel Avengers Assemble) 74
Justice (014 Marvel Avengers Assemble) 64
    =402 points

Like normal against Darren S, I lost. Also Adrian won his game against his brother Michael. On the second round I was up against Michael who was using an Avengers themed team who were:

Iron Man (001a Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 300
Scarlet Witch (006 Marvel Avengers vs X-Men) 100
    =400 points

I managed to win this game. Also Darren S won his game against Adrian. On the third and final round I was up against Adrian who was using an X-Men themed team who were:

Northstar (011 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 75
    Magneto (014 Marvel Avengers vs X-Men) 150
Longshot (009 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 75
Emma Frost (010 Marvel Avengers vs X-Men) 100
    =400 points

Sadly I lost this game. Also Darren S won his game against Michael. This week's scenario will be "No More Mutants!" Having been driven mad by realising her children never exisited, Scarlet Witch has used her Hex to depower all mutants. 500 points. Any hero who get their power from being a mutant have -1 to all combat values and all there powers are outwitted.

    "Painting and Converting"

For this post I have for you all Tower from Guild Ball.

On Friday's post I should have for you all a goal, a ball and Snakeskin from Guild Ball and Baby Doll from Agora Miniatures. During the week I managed to finish paining five figures and undercoated one more figure for Frostgrave, five figures for Zombicide and two figures for Arcadia Quest. Below is an image of my painting table at the end of last Sunday night or the start of Monday morning.

    Neoscream's Life: 9th to 15th February 2015

    The Z'zor Team
Welcome to the new Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of what games I have been playing, what I watch and news on the great Geek Goddess, AJ (when she is not injured).

    “Blog News”

Sadly there was no AJ this week. I have a feeling she will be back before Wrestlemania hopefully. This week has been eventful, however due to past problems with the old "Life" section of the post, I will not be writing about it. Let's just say things 'might' be changing. I might talk about some of it in later date if any of them do work out for me.

ADDED: Opps been forgetting to say that I am finally getting around to fixing a long time error in the labels. I use to have "Cool Minis or Not" missed labelled as "Cool or Not Minis". I am almost halfway into altering all of the posts to the right label. I will hopefully be checking the Picture link this week too.

    “HeroClix Arcadia Quest”

As the brothers could not make it to HeroClix, me and Darren S decided to do play Arcadia Quest. We decided to keep a record of the games so we can return to the campaign again if the brothers cannot make HeroClix again. I had Maya, Viktor and Kanga as part of my Green Pandas guild, while Darren S had Prince Aaron, Monkey Queen and Seth as part of his Orange Lions guild. We managed to get three games in.
The first quest we played was “The Moon Gate”. Darren won the game and got the title “Guardians of the Gate”. I got Least Deaths and Most Coins. Sadly no got a reward.
The second quest we played was “The Rookery”. I win the game with the Most Coins and getting the title “Lord of Eagles”. Both of us got the Least Deaths. Sadly no got a reward.
And the third quest we played was “The Orcs’ Hive”. I won this game too as well as the Least Deaths, the most Coins and the title “Bloodstone Breaker”.
We are halfway into the campaign and currently I am winning, however things can change between now and then.

    "Silver Age Sentinels"

On Friday, me, Richard and Darren H when to Simon’s for another game of Silver Age Sentinels. This time we have to free the son of a friend of Darren’s character from a Russian prison in the middle an icy wasteland. My character did not do much due to a hidden surprise Simon had, however both Darren’s and Richard’s characters did ended up killing most of the prison guards (but not the ones that ran away in terror) by popping the heads, bullets and psychic powers. Also Richard manage to take out the surprise with a very lucky hit.

    "WWE Fastlane"

This coming Sunday is the new pay-per-view Fastlane. Currently (before Raw last night/this morning) there are only three set matches. John Cena verses the US Champion Rusev, Paige verses Divas Champion Niki Bella and Roman Reigns version Daniel Bryan (winner will face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania).

    “Painting and Converting”

For this post I have for you all a Long Gunner, a Swan, Lilly Rain Eve, an Elven Pilot and a Z'zor Player.

    This post's figures front view
    This post's figures rear view
    This post's Warmachine figure
    This post's other figures
The Elven Swan Megus and her three attack swans

    Neoscream's Life: 28th October to 2nd November 2014

Persona 3 main Protagonist. Due to the fact his name
changes in each media (manga, anime and movies) I
am not including a name. In the Persona game the
main  Protagonist was named by the player, but
normally has a non game default name.
Welcome to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I have done during last week and news on the great Geek Goddess, AJ.

    “Life”

As it was the school holidays it was super busy at work. Sadly it was not helped with a lack of staff due to holiday, chaos from management and problems with a member of staff not turn up to his shifts. In fact I worked on Wednesday seven and a half hours straight with no break. However I oddly managed to get two days off this week instead of the normal one. Strangely there were a lot of staff with birthdays on November the 1st, Shenell, Dean and Abbie. After a bit of thing I realised what in might be. They are all Valentine’s Day babies.

I managed to get rid of the problem item (from over a month ago) on Friday as well as giving Shenell a birthday card. However, due to how busy the staffroom was I never got to hear from her what she thought as I had to hand it her her when no one was (hopefully) looking. As she was off Saturday and I was off Sunday I will have to wait until Friday this week to hear from her. It must have made some good karma as the next day, Saturday, Richard gave me my birthday present, about five and half months late, lol.

An old photo of me in the hooded and mask
On Saturday night both me and Richard went down to Stony Stratford for the Halloween Zombie Pub crawl. I was planning on doing a Zombie Iron Man, however as I did not have non miniatures zombie effect face paints, I just did Iron Man. Luckily Richard did not do a Zombie ever. He dressed up as a Vampire. Sadly it was no where as good as it was two years ago. First non of our other friends came, and it has gotten too popular as most of the pubs in Stony were full (it is not helped by the fact Stony Stratford is down a pub now. I am not saying it was a bad night out as we did had fun, especially towards the end at the Crown. My Iron Man custom was my Iron Man hooded, my Iron Man mask and a pair of red trousers I brought just before coffee.

Lastly is the current Hasslefree Miniatures Sculpting Contest news. Sadly no update yet.

“WWE Hell in the Cell 2014”

Now for the Hell in the Cell results. There were nine matches in total so let us get started.

First off Mark Henry defeated Bo Dallas in an amazing 36 seconds.
Then Dolph Ziggler white washed Cesaro in a 2-out-of-3 falls match and retained his WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Next sadly Nikki Bella defeated Brie Bella, so now brie is Nikki’s personal assistant for 30 days and if she does not comply, she will be forced to quit WWE.
Then Goldust and Stardust defeated The Usos to retain their WWE Tag Team Championship.
Next John Cena defeated Randy Orton in a Hell in a Cell match to become the number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Then Sheamus defeated The Miz to retain his WWE United States Championship.
Sadly next Rusev defeated Big Show by submission. Mark Henry coming out to ringside during the match did not help.
The the Geek Goddess AJ Lee defeated Paige by submission to retain her baby, the WWE Divas Championship.
In the last match Seth Rollins defeated Dean Ambrose in a Hell in a Cell match, only become that Arkham Asylum escapee, Bray Wyatt interfered.

    "AJ and the WWE"

AJ and Alicia Fox had yet another match against each other last week on Raw. AJ won yet again and then Paige beat the crap out of Alicia Fox. But Jerry “The King” Lawler, stepped in to stop it from get too serious.

On Smackdown last week AJ was on commentary during a number one contender match for her baby. The match was a Diva's Halloween Rumble match. All the competing Diva's other than AJ was in it. Sadly the waste of space Nikki Bella won. Well at least it will not be AJ verses Paige for the hundredth time.
