Gaming News from Neoscream: 19th December 2014
Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my
weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer
games.ONLY SIX MORE DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS.
“Gaming News”
Frrst off the Cool Mini or Not news. After posting
last week’s post Arcadia Quest arrived. For Chibi figures these guys are really
detailed, however I do not like how the plastic gold coins turned out like.
Gold spray paint might fix them. Sadly I have not gotten a chance of playing a
game yet. Oh and there were four more heroes in the Guildmaster box set than
originally shown on KickStarter. They had decided to include hero versions of the
four Faceless. bring the total to forty-four heroes from KickStarter, however only sixteen are available outside KickStarter and events
Also there is a reveal and play through of Season
Three of Zombicide that can be found on their KickStarter update page. I will
try to post the video here tomorrow, that is if I remember.
Next is the
Mantic news. First off Deadzone. Wave three has started shipping wave three,
but only orders with JUST the standard Enforces. All other wave three shipment
will start shipping next week. WTF. That is Christmas week.
Now for
DreadBall. I received DreadBall Xtreme wave one on Sunday. Sadly I cannot open
it until Christmas day. However a PDF copy of the Season Four of DreadBall book
was sent out to backers. There is new Achievements and Fans on the patch rules.
Sadly the Hulk is not a Giant any more like they said it would be, however
there is a fifth team in the book too, the Martians. Here is a break up of what
is coming in each wave: http://www.manticgames.com/kickstarter/Mission-Control/DreadBall-Xtreme-Shipping.html As You may
see there is currently not date for wave three and it will not be shipping
before April, most likely May or later. They have also reviled the new seasons
lineups. We already know Season Four. Season Five will be the teams that were
meant to be in Season Four and Season Six will have the remaining four teams.
Now for the Journey: Wrath of Daemons news. They are
having major delays with shipping wave one at the moment. However due to the
delays they will be shipping some more stuff in wave one than originally
planned. These are a bunch of the resins.
Next is the Privateer Press news. In the next update
(if it has not already happened) they plan on adding Mercenaries to Warmachine
Tactics as well as Christmas hats.
Now for the Dust: Operation Babylon news. Sadly it
looks like that they will not be able to ship wave one to New Zealand and
Australian backers before Christmas due to problems with shipping.
Lastly for a
bit of Games Workshop news. The scare of 32mm bases were settle during the
week. They are currently ONLY coming out with the new Blood Angles stuff due to a designer choose and there
are no plans yet of changing the whole range.
“KickStarter Dates”
I have decided to add original shipping dates in
brackets of KickStarters that are running late.
- “Mechabrick” (April 2014), wave two of “Robotech RPG Tactics” (December 2013), wave three of “DreadBall Xtreme” (November 2014), wave two of “Journey Wrath of Daemons” (July 2014), wave two of “Dust Operation Babylon” (August 2014) and the physical copy of “OVA” (Dec 2013) have all been delay due to problems and currently have no dates on when these will start shipping, but I feeling that they will be sometime in 2015
- “Arcadia Quest” (September 2014), wave one of “Shadows of Brimstone” (August 2014), wave one of “Robotech RPG Tactics” for USA and Canada (December 2013) and wave one of “Dust Operation Babylon” (August 2014), wave one of “DreadBall Xtreme” (November 2014), “Bubblegum Crisis Ultimate Edition Blu-Ray Set” (comes with a digital copy of the old RPG rulebooks. - The coloured ran of “Pop-Up Miniature Terrain Kit” (November 2014), the digital copy of “Mekton Zero” rulebook (December 2013) and wave one of “Dust Operation Babylon” for US, Austria and New Zeeland (August 2014) all are meant to ship in December 2014, however due to Christmas and New Year, I really dealt it
- “Super Dungeon Explore: The Forgotten King”, “Guild Ball” (December 2014), wave two of “DreadBall Xtreme” (November 2014) “Last Saga” (November 2014), wave one of “Journey Wrath of Daemons" (July 2014), the physical copy of the “Mekton Zero” rulebook (March 2014) and wave one of “Robotech RPG Tactics” for Europe (December 2013) should be ship in January 2015

- Both “Dungeon Saga: The Dwarf King’s Quest” and wave two of “Shadows of Brimstone” (August 2014) should ship in August 2015
“Painting and Converting”
Here is the Christmas painting so far. It is all do
and now all wrapped up ready to be given away to eight lucky people. Hope to start giving them to people today. I am planning to
post a special on this on Christmas Day. It will basically be the information pack I give to the eight with the figures with some minor changes, like dropping names.
There will not be a “Painting and Converting” section
next week as I plan on getting back to normal in 2015.
P.S.
WOW this is the 1,200th blog post.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 12th December 2014
Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my
weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer
games. Before you ask, yes it was a quite news week.
“Gaming News”
First off is the Ninja Division news. With Super
Dungeon Explore: Forgotten King, everything is basically down and now it is
over to production in China.
Next is the Dust: Operation Babylon news. People in
the UK have been receiving their wave one stuff and it has arrived in their US
warehouse meaning that the US and Canada backers will have their stuff sent out
soon. No word on Austria and New Zeeland other than there is no word.
On over Dust news, Dust Adventures is up for pre-order
now. What is Dust Adventures you may be asking? It is a RPG is the Dust world.
Now for the Cool Mini or Not news. With Zombicide,
they are on route to start shipping in February. In fact they have got some Rue
Morgue games in the USA warehouse already. Due to this US backers that have confirmed
their pledges via our pledge manager before the deadline will get Rue Morgue
boxes sent out soon in a separate shipping wave, at no extra expense. I am not
happy about it at all (being from the UK) but can understand the cost issues
Next is the Privateer Press news. All the December releases
come out is Wednesday. They were: Cygnar Character Heavy Warjack Dynamo; the Trollblood
Trollkin Unit Scattergunners; Trollblood Trollkin Unit Krielstone Bearer and
Stone Scribes; the Trollblood Unit Highwaymen; the Skorne Unit Praetorian Karax;
the Minion Farrow Character Solo Maximus; and the Warmachine High Command Faith
and Fortune Engines of Destruction Expansion.
Also they have relieved what they are releasing on
February 2015 and it is a WHOPPER month. The redone Cygnar Warcaster Major
Markus "Siege" Brisbane; the redone Khador Greylord Warcaster Koldun
Kommander Aleksandra Zerkova; the Extreme Juggernaut Warjack for Khador; the Extreme
Destroyer Warjack for Khador; a Khador All-in-One Army Box Set; the Convergence
Battle Engine Transfinite Emergence Projector with Permutation Servitor Solos;
the redone Mercenary Privateer Thamarite Warcaster Fiona the Black; the re box Mercenary
Character Unit Captain Sam MacHorne and the Devil Dogs; the Trollblood
Character Solo Braylen Wanderheart, Trollkin Outlaw; the Trollblood Unit
Northkin Fire Eaters; the redone Legion Blighted Ogrun Warlock Thagrosh,
Prophet of Everblight; a Skorne All-in-One Army Box; the Warmachine High
Command Faith and Fortune Ultimate Weapons Expansion; a set of ten Small-Base
Wound Markers; a set of eight Medium-Base Wound Markers; a set of five Large-Base
Wound Markers; a Warmachine Quick Measuring Set; and a Hordes Quick Measuring
Set. No clue on the content of the All-in-One Army Boxes as there is no links
to profiles for them. My guess they will be 35 point army deals with everything
to get you started. I expect they will do the other forces in the future or at
least the main eight.
Lastly for a
bit of Games Workshop news. They have decided to replace their 25mm round bases
for Warhammer 40,000 with a band new 32mm. No one apart from Games Workshop
now, do 32mm. This is most likely the reason why they did it. I would not be
shocked if they do not try to copy right the base size and/or label the base in
a way where they can say that you have to buy their bases and can only use
THEIR official bases. They are not
currently selling the bases yet, however the new Blood Angles stuff will be on
them.
This is less
reasons for me to get back into Warhammer 40,000 as I would have to re base EVERY THING (apart from the Crisis Battle suit).
“KickStarter Dates”
I have decided to add original shipping dates in
brackets of KickStarters that are running late.
·
“Mechabrick” (April 2014), wave two of “Robotech RPG Tactics” (December

“Dragon Tide” should ship in September 2015
· Both
“Dungeon Saga: The Dwarf King’s Quest” and wave two of “Shadows of Brimstone”
(August 2014) should ship in August 2015
“Painting and Converting”
Here is the Christmas painting so far. All of the Lily
Rain Eves are done and the final four Kallen Kouzuki are very close. Just got
to dry brush the guns, tidy up, wash, and then do the bases. Hope to get them
do during the weekend.
I have decided to leave it until the first post of
next year to go back to normal to give me more time for painting. I have also
redone my painting system to change things around. However on top of the
Christmas painting, I have finally gotten back to painting stuff, but is just
spraying and starting the missing bases for my Long Gunners.
Until next time, Keep Rolling.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 5th December 2014
![]() |
| Paranoia |
Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my
weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer
games.
“Gaming News”
First off is the new version Paranoia news. The
KickStarter has now finished and they have made £217,517 with 2,747 backers.
Over the last couple of days they managed to unlock: Yellow Clearance Black Box
Blues; and a third adventure was added to Ultraviolet. There were no Stretch
Goals left.
Now for the Wireless Power Board Game Terrain and
Miniature Lighting KickStarter. Sadly they could not get it funded.
Next is the
Mantic news. The KickStarter has now
finished and they have made $366,547 with 4,380 backers. Over the
last couple of days they managed to unlock: An Orc War Drum team was added to the
Orc Mega-Starter Army; three Ogre Berserker Braves was added to the Ogre
Mega-Starter Army; three Abyssal Molochs were added to the Forces of the Abyss;
two Goblin Warmachines were added to the Goblin Mega-Starter Army; a double
sided pad for creating textured bases from Basius as an adding; twenty Salamanders,
three Forest Shamblers, twenty Naiads; one Druid and one Greater Earth
Elemental as part of a new Forces of Nature Starter set; forty Salamanders, six
Forest Shamblers, forty Naiads, two Druids and two Greater Earth Elemental as
part of a new Forces of Nature Mega-Starter set; one Greater Obsidian Golem was
added to the Abyssal Dwarf Mega-Starter Army; set of four wound markers was
added to “Living Legend” pledge level; Ronaldo the Bard was added to was added
to “Living Legend” pledge level; Abyssal Fiend as an add-on.
Sadly there
was a goal at $370k that was never made. It was a Centaur Hero that would have
been added to the Forces of Nature Mega-Starter set. However knowing Mantic it
will be unlocked during the Pledge Manager.
On other
Mantic News, wave one of DreadBall Xtreme has started shipping. However it will
JUST be the box game (maybe extra based on the box game content). Wave two will
hopefully ship in January with a new Season 4 line-up and some of the
third-party add-ons. Yes that is right, they relieved via Beasts of War
Weekenders and NOT KickStarter that they have revised what team are in what
season. Season four will be Brokkrs, Rebs, Sphyr and Hobgoblins. All but
Hobgoblins were meant to be Season Five and the Hobgoblins were meant to be
Season Six. Will this affect the teams that backer were thinking they are
getting? I do not know and hope not. ALSO this means that there will now be a
THRID wave.
Now for the Stonehaven Miniatures news. Shipment of
the Coloured Pop-Up Miniature Terrain Kits has been delayed due to weather.
Next is the Ninja Division news. With Robotech RPG
Tactics, containers 6 to 7 have arrived and the have be busy shipping. USA and
Canada have all been shipped and European should be shipping by the end of this
week to their European centre. It will take at least three to five weeks to
ship and at least one week to ship from the centre to the backers.
Now for the
Kingdom Death news. For an update on the state of the web store, they just now
have People of the Sun, Pinups of Death - Hard Plastic Collection and Pinup
White Speaker in stock after the Black Friday sells.
Next is the Dust: Operation Babylon news. The Pledge Manager
will end this weekend, however they have started shipping to everywhere apart
from US, Austria and New Zeeland.
Now for the Crooked Dice Games news. Five Chronal
Commandoes from the Ministry of Time were just released this month.
Lastly is the Cool Mini or Not news. With Arcadia Quest
I have missed an update last week say that the EU stuff should start December
the 2nd, however there is no news that it has started. Also the AU
stuff should start shipping next week.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 28th November 2014

Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my
weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer
games. Oh and Happy Black Friday to the
American readers, you holiday will most likely even make the rest of the world
broke. Due to the size of the Kingdom Death update ALL the pictures are from Kingdom Death. Sadly there is room for all of them (at least one is missing). To get better look of them you can click on them OR visit the Kingdom Death Monster KickStarter page under Update 93
“Gaming News”
First off is the new version Paranoia news. Over the
week they managed to unlock: The Game’s Master’s Scream; the Ultraviolet pledge
level which includes all the stretch goals for £80; and the Ultraviolet Plus
pledge level which includes which includes all the stretch goals and add-ons
for £110.
The Stretch Goals that still going on: Yellow
Clearance Black Box Blues at £180k.
The KickStarter will be ending Tuesday so let us see
what can be unlocked between now and then.
Now for the Wireless Power Board Game Terrain and
Miniature Lighting KickStarter. Sadly it is still being funded, however they
have added a bunch of new backer levels and add-ons.
The KickStarter will be ending Tuesday so let us see
if they can fund it by then then sadly I do not think it will.
Next is the
Mantic news. Since last week they have managed to unlock: A Kings of War
Worldwide Campaign with a digital copy added to Living Legend level; a Campaign
Character Pack; five Soul Reavers were added to the Undread Mega-Starter Army;
a Basilean Heavy Arbalest Warmachine was added to the Basilean Mega-Starter
Army; an Abyssal Iffrit in the Forces of the Abyss Mega-Starter
Army; an Elf King on Dragon as an add; a Basilean High Paladin on Dragon; an
Ogre Warlock was added to the Ogre Mega-Starter Army; three Elf Forest
Shamblers were added to the Elf Mega-Starter Army; 4Ground terrain as add-ons;
Secret Weapon Rolling Fields as add-ons; an Abyssal Dwarf Supreme Ironcaster on
Greater Winged Abyssal; Army Boosters for most of the armies as add-ons; a
new Ultimate pledge level that has everything in God of War and eight
Mega-Starter Army too for $850; and an Orc War Drum team was added to the Orc Mega-Starter Army.

Currently as
I post this these are the stretch goals that have not been done yet: Three Ogre
Berserker Braves will be added to the Ogre Mega-Starter Army at $240k.
The KickStarter will be ending Monday so let us see
what can be unlocked between now and then.
Mantic are doing a 15% off everything in their web
store on Black Friday by using the following code, “THANKSGIVING2014”.
They have also started to do bundle deals for Christmas.
Now for the Stonehaven Miniatures news. All of the
Sepia and Colour files for their Pop-Up Miniature Terrain Kit our now online
for all backers of the right level. Sweet. Also the physical copies should
start shipping by the end of this week if they have not already.
Next is the Mechadrome Heavy Metal Combat news. The
company behind this game, Gunfight Games, are doing a sale to celebrate Black
Friday that ends tomorrow (Saturday). Use the following coupon code
"CHRISMECHS" on their web store to get 20% your order.
Now for the
HeroClix news. There are thirteen figure on their Watch List. These are: All
nine the Entities for DC War of Light; Bill, Agent of A.I.M. (102 Marvel
Deadpool); Iron Pharaoh (051 Marvel Invincible Iron Man); Bizarro (039 DC
Superman and the Legion of Superheroes); and Proxima Midnight (050 Marvel
Guardians of the Galaxy). For those who do not know what the Watch List is, it
is a list of figures that seem broken in rule which they are watching to see if
they (and in some cases the game rules) need to be changed.
Next is the Ninja Division news. Robotech RPG Tactics
is now available on the Palladium Books web store.
Now for the
Kingdom Death news. First off the Black Friday news. They are basically doing
50% off everything apart from anything new added for Black Friday. The new
things are another round of per-orders for the Satan Twins and like last year
another chance (but this IS the last time) to back Kingdom Death Monster. Like
last year there is three levels however they do not come with the t-shirt this
time. Bronze is the same as Survivor Level in KickStarter, Silver is Survivor
level plus all the expansions, and Gold is Survivor level plus all the expansion,
Pin-Ups and Promos.

Also today
there was a massive update on KickStarter. Currently there are five kits still currently
being worked on. These are the Dragon Armour Kit (tooling complete samples in
the mail), the Silk Armour Kit (currently being tooled), the Gorm Armour Kit (currently
being tooled), the Sunstalker Armour Kit (currently being tooled) and the Green
Knight Kit (currently being tooled). They have estimated that it will take (at
the moment) a team of ten people one and a half months to pack all the Survivor
levels. This does not mean that they are starting anytime soon. Painting of the
books and cards for the Expansions will most likely be done and delved to then
warehouse by the end of February 2015.
We got a ton
of new previews in the update. The core game cards, the core game rulebook, the
Leather Armour kit, the White Lion Armour kit, the Phoenix Armour kit, Dragon
King in both forms, People of the Dragon (comes with extra heads that are compatible
to armour kits and the hand are armour kit compatible too), Spidicules,
Spiderlings (the Spidicules expansion will now include six of them), the Lonely
Muse (that now comes with the Lonely Tree expansion), Dung Beetle Knight and the
Rolling Armour kit.
At the
moment they are estimating that it will start shipping to backers around June/July
time in 2015. I have listed it as July on the KickStarter time table below.
Please note that it is NOT set in stone.
Everything
is looking so fantastic and beautiful, the artwork and the figures (OK the
Pin-Ups and some of the female characters like the new Lonely Muse sadly have
far too big over size breasts for my taste). I cannot wait to get a hold of
mine.
Next is the Dust: Operation Babylon news. Things are
being delayed a little me. The UK warehouse is expecting its delivery early
next week and the US a week after. This is about a week later than reported
last week.
Now for the Crooked Dice Games news. They are doing a
50% off sale on a ton of their books, cards and PDFs for Black Friday.
Lastly here is some more Black Friday and Christmas
gaming sales news of places I do not normally report on. Battle Foam are doing
a four day sale that started today and will end on Monday. Megacon Games, the
company behind MERCS and Myth, are doing a sale that ends on Christmas Day.
Warlord Games, Hawk Wargames and Fantasy Flight Games have started special
deals for Christmas. Anvil Industry will be doing 30% off Black Ops Kits on
Black Friday. Hasslefree Miniatures are doing a 20% off everything on Black
Friday is you use the code “Friday2014” And lastly Wyrd Miniatures are doing a
sale on Black Friday. There will be a ton of new releases, special edition
figures, individual puppets from Puppet Wars are available and 50% off first
edition models and books.

I was planning to start this next week but due to time today there will be no normal "Painting and
Converting" section this week or next week (and maybe the following week). There has been a slow down on painting and with the
Christmas painting not helping the normal painting time table I have decided to stop posting the painted figure for a while to chance up. However next week I will be posting pictures of how the Christmas
painting is going.
Speaking of Christmas painting, I have been painting a
bunch of figures for Christmas this week. Five out of the eighteen figures that
I am painting are almost finished. They just have their bases to do.
Until next time, Keep Rolling.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 21st November 2014
Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my
weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer
games.
“Gaming News”
First off is the new version Paranoia news. Over the
week they managed to unlock: An extra adventure was added to Ultraviolet.
The Stretch Goals that still going on: The Game’s
Master’s Scream at £150k.
Now for the Wireless Power Board Game Terrain and
Miniature Lighting KickStarter. Sadly it is still being funded, however they
have added a bunch of new backer levels and add-ons.
Next is the Privateer Press news. Wednesday saw the
release of Skorne Epic Cavalry Battle Engine Warlock Xerxis the Fury of Halaak,
the Minion Farrow Warlock Helga the Conquerer and issue 57 of No Quarter magazine.
Also the re-release of the ten man Flameguard Cleansers Protectorate Unit, the
fifteen man Blackbane's Ghost Raiders Cryx Character Unit, the six man Strider
Blightblades Legion Blighted Nyss Unit, the six man Strider Rangers Legion
Blighted Nyss Unit, the ten man Praetorian Keltarii Skorne Unit and the ten man
Praetorian Swordsmen Skorne Unit.
Now for the
Mantic news. The Kings of War Mini Kickstarter has started and is going
strong. In the KickStarter there are two
main pledge levels. There is "Living Legend" and there is "God
of War". At the start of the KickStarter you got both a hardback and mini
softback version of the second edition rulebook in "Living Legend"
and in "God's of War" you get everything in "Living Legend"
and ever two Starter Armies or a Mega-Starter Army of your choice.
In a space
of a week they have: Funded the new rulebook; Army List Creator and Chess Clock
apps were added to Living Legend level; counters were added to Living Legend
level; an Elf Mage Queen was added to the Elf Mega Starter Army; a Basilean
War-Wizard was added to the Basilean Mega Starter; the Forces of the Abyss
Starter set with 40 Lower Abyssals (can be built into ever melee or range
versions), 20 Abyssal Succubus and 10 Gargoyles; the Forces of the Abyss Mega
Starter set with 80 Lower Abyssals (can be built into ever melee or range
versions), 40 Abyssal Succubus, 10 Gargoyles and an Abyssal Champion; a
Kickstarter Exclusive Resin Tyrant King Blaine on Gramakh was added to Living
Legend level; Movement Trays and dice as add-ons; an Undead Necromancer was
added to the Undead Mega-Starter Army; the Dwarf Warsmith was added to the
Dwarfs Mega Starter Army; and a new Map of Mantica was added to Living
Legend level.
Currently as
I post this these are the stretch goals that have not been done yet: A Kings of
War Worldwide Campaign with a digital copy added to Living Legend level at
$190k.
With DreadBall Xtreme, Mantic have started sending out
the PDFs of the rulebook for Xtreme (not to be confused with the DreadBall Season
books). I have received the email but have not had the time to look at it as I
have HeroClix last night. On a bit of bad news Guardians of Tyr will no longer
be running DreadBall Tournaments at Wargames Workshop MK.
Also the Mars Attacks rulebook and Compendium have
been updated. What changes have they done I do not know as it was done
yesterday.
Next is the
Kingdom Death news. I somehow missed a short update last week. It was showing
off the painted finished rulebook and some artwork. They also stated That there
will not be any mini updates until after Black Friday, as they are working on a
MASSIVE update for Black Friday.
On Tuesday
they had a restock in their store of Savior, Savior Age 20, Savior Age 40, Savior
Age 80 and Super Savior. However by the time I post this the Savior Age 40 has
sold out.
Now for the Journey: Wrath of Daemons news. Due to
some MAJOR problems they will not be able to start shipping until mid-December.
This will mean that that it will not be arriving for Christmas for backers
sadly. The delays is due to a bunch of quality problems with things like the
packaging, cards and tokens.
Next is the
HeroClix news. Last week the DC Flash set was released. HCRealm's are slowly
getting all of the figures up on their units section. Hopefully they will be
done by the end of the week.
Now for the Mechadrome Heavy Metal Combat news.
Yesterday I received my stuff. I got the rulebook and cards. The rulebook is
much shorter than I expected, but it is a more handler size. Sadly they have
dropped the ability for pilots to improve during a league. I am have said it
before, but I am planning on using this as the basis for my Mecha Knights game.
I was planning on doing some changes a I would have preferred a smaller scaled
game. I am planning on doing it as 12mm scale instead of the 28mm. This will mean
I will be halving all the movement and ranges to fit the scale change better. So adding a pilot enchantment system will just another thing.
Next is the Dust: Operation Babylon news. They should
be receiving the stuff from the manufacturers in their UK Warehouse by the end
of the month and in their US and Australia by early December. They have decided
to split the shipment to backers into two wave (WTF they decided to do this three
months after the KickStarter original was meant to ship). Wave one should
hopefully arrive before Christmas and will contain: Operation Babylon, Army
Deals (Primed and Premium), Cards, Rulebooks, Tokens, Templates and any
Achilles releases. Everything else will be in wave two which there is currently
no date for.
Lastly is the current Hasslefree Miniatures Sculpting
Contest news. I finally got a message on last Friday night saying that they
just received the figures and will bill me soon and ship it on Saturday. Oddly
I received a message on Saturday that it was on its way and then received the
figures on Tuesday, however I never got the bill until this morning (which I
paid).
