Neoscream's Painting Table: 18th of August 2017
Hi everyone and welcome to another blog post. This week I have been mostly drained of energy. On top of feeling tired, I have also been suffering from over the week so far, headaches, sore throat, inflamed glands, constipation, arm pains and a bad allergic reaction. And I am still working a normal shift.
OK, it is time to show off my third display cupboards, so let us start with the bottom shelf.
This shelf holds a ton of my Transformer Comic book small figurines.
The middle shelf holds a ton of my anime and Pokémon figurines.
On the top shelf has a bunch of larger figures and some Lego (fake Lego) figures too.
Next week I will be the fourth cupboard.
This week I have managed to finish off a tower for my castle terrain, two Tengu Harrier and a Tengu Mage and Surprised hero version from Arcadia Quest.
I am currently painting a Tengu Samurai and a Hedgehog from Stonehaven, Serious hero version from Arcadia Quest.
Mansions of Dragoborne
On Monday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a game of Mansions of Madness with Bob and Wai-Yin. We retired the second scenario again as the last time myself and Bob did this we failed. Sadly we failed again, but we did get a lot closer. We did manage to get everything we needed, we just ran out of time. Next time we should be more experience to do it, we just have to remember to split up.
Afterwards, myself and Wai-Yin had our first game of Bushiroad's new TCG, Dragoborne. Think of it as Magic the Gathering meets Duel Masters, but with dice as well. After Luck and Logic, I was a bit reluctant of trying another brand new game. However, with the buzz going on I decided to try it out. Wai-Yin was using the Dragon deck which she was borrowing from Anthony, while I was using the Werewolf deck I just bought. Wai-Yin managed to win without any experience with the game. She then ended up buying two copies of the Vampire deck. Stereotypical for that Chibi Vampire to buy a Vampire deck. LOL. I am planning on building a blue deck as Blue is heavy technology, ninjas and Samurai themed. However, I also want to do Green/Yellow(or is it classed a white), for the Elves. Oh and afterward I found that we were playing Dragon Shields wrong. This was due to the game I watched two Saturdays ago, Liam was playing them wrong. The basic problem was that we did not know the Dragon Shields could only go to Forts of the same colour and what gives a Fort its colour is the banner behind it. Looking at the rules, it was an easy mistake to make. I only realised when I was watching an official How to Play videos on YouTube.
Card Games
On Tuesday I went down to Toby Carvery for some card gaming with Shell, Liam, Gareth, the House Brothers, John, Blake (briefly) and Brandon. I first got a game of Cardfight Vanguard against John (if memory serves me right). I using my Chouchou Bermuda Triangle deck. I was destroyed before ever of use hit GB1. This was mainly due to only getting a single trigger all game, and that was a heal trigger from a draw. After that, I got two games of Dragoborne against Liam, after letting him know about the Fort/Dragon Shield problem. He won the first game, but I managed to win the second. After that, I managed to get some trades in to improve my Stride deck for my Chouchou Bermuda Triangle deck and then tested the improvements against Brandon. I managed to win this one with my first ever stride with "Chouchou Headliner, Lapria". Over all, it was a very enjoyable night.
HeroClix
Sadly on Thursday, there was not Heroclix as I was not feeling well. This means that the build has been moved to next week. The build was 900 points, five Actions, no figure above 250 points, no ATA's and no bases larger than peanut sized.
Future Games
Well, that is it for this post. Until all are one with the Lantern-Spark.

Neoscream's Painting Table: 13th of August 2017
Hi everyone and welcome to another blog post. The last two day (Friday and Saturday) I have been helping my friend Simon move. He is returning back to the Milton Keynes area from a village in the middle of nowhere. This will mean we (myself and our mates) will be seeing him more.
OK, last week I showed off the first of my display cupboards. So let us move on the second, starting with the bottom shelf.
This shelf holds my three MechWarrior figures (one hidden behind the next thing), a figure of the Yu-Gi-Oh figure Launcher Spider, Planet Express Ship from Futurama, USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D from Star Trek, an Enforcer Accuser Interceptor from Mantic's Warpath and silver PVC Conehead Decepticon Seeker.
The middle shelf (two pictures due to sheer numbers) has a ton of my 7TV and Doctor Who stuff. However, the Doctor Who figures have been moved out and boxed for Doctor Who Exterminate. The 7TV stuff are based on the Black Knights from Code Geass, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, James Bond, Section 9 from Ghost in the Shell, the Silicon Lords and Hive Master from my old stories and Cyborg characters from a team based on WWE Wrestlers.
Due to the huge gap left by the Doctor Who miniatures, I am thinking of move the remaining stuff to the top two shelves of the first cupboard and placing one of my Warmachine force in instead. If I do this I will post updates after doing all the areas I plan on covering.
On the top shelf has a large Tomahawk toy from Robotech (Macross) and my a chunk of my Decepticon Seeks.
Next week I will be the third cupboard.
This week I have managed to finish off Astrid from Reaper Miniatures Bones, the 2015 Salute figure, Sephera (cannot remember where she is from and I cannot find her on an internet search), Peter Pan from Tale Of War Miniatures, the Gate for my castle terrain, Smiley from Arcadia Quest, a figure based on the 10th Doctor from Heresy Miniatures (sadly the do not sell his any more so I cannot get a name), Hedgehog Girl from Sphere Wars,a tower from my Castle terrain, (oops, will be on next weeks), Surprised Faceless from Arcadia Quest and four Monster Fruits.
I am currently painting two Tengu Harrier and a Tengu Mage from Stonehaven and Surprised Faceless and Serious from Arcadia Quest.
Doctor Who Exterminate!
On Monday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a game of Doctor Who Exterminate with Bob. This was our first time playing the game. Sadly there were not much how to play or game play videos on YouTube. As it was the first game we did not use the Adventure Card and we use the example forces the were in the beginning of the second book. I played as Dalek while Bob was the Cybermen.
I managed to Exterminate a chunk of his team. However, Bob was extremely lucky with his V Tokens and he won with twelve victory points to my seven. Overall it was an enjoyable game, however, there were a couple of problems.
HeroClix
On Thursday I went down to York House for some games of HeroClix. This week's build was 900 points, five Actions, no figure above 250 points, no ATA's and no bases larger than peanut sized.
I decided to make an Avengers themed team, more because I made a mistake and only realised the night before as I was about to go to bed (thinking it was 500 points). The team ended up being:
Iron Man (002 Marvel What If) 100
Thor (005 Marvel What If) 110
Iron Rick (010 Marvel What If) 55
Iron Punisher (023 Marvel What If) 100
Black Panther (007 Marvel Avengers/Defender War) 30
Captain America (011 Marvel Avengers/Defenders War) 50
Warmachine (004 Marvel Captain America Civil War) 105
Hawkeye (002 Marvel Avengers Assemble) 85
Echo (010 Marvel Avengers Assemble 96
Firebird (011 Marvel Avengers Assemble) 105
Justice (014 Marvel Avengers Assemble) 64
=900 points
For some unknown reason, Michael did not turn up. Adrian even could not get a hold of him. As the rest of us turned up, we decided to play anyway. It just means one of us had to take the bye each round.
On the first round, I was up against Adrian who was using an X-Men themed team. This was a nightmare game where his defense from range was twenty (my team was range based), his attacks were twelve at a minimum and a ton of hypersonic. and Power Cosmic. All this was due to Cannonball and Emma Frost. I was creamed, losing the game. I was not expecting to do good, but those very high values compared to my average values made the game very unfun.
On the second round, I got the bye. So it was Darren S verse Adrian. Adrian won this game, but it was a lot more of a close fight.
On the third and final round, I was up against Darren who was using a Crime Syndicate themed team. I lost this game (like normal against Darren), but it was a much more fun game than the one against Adrain.
As there was no Michael, we will be using the same build next time. However, I will be using a different team and Adrain will hopefully try a different team than the cheesy one he was using.

- It is not that clear if Armour has a factor in Close Combat. We did play it that it does not.
- A large chunk of Warlord's Doctor Who ranges currently do not have rules as the figures do not come with them (apart from the two expansion packs) and the Starter set only covered what was in it, both Doctors sets and three Alien packs. They have stated that there will be PDFs rules for them in the future.
- The force cards do not have any lists of Weapons that are/can be equipped with or clear statements of that Faction(s) they work for or list of what is in the faction in the books (eg. army listing). Also, there are some inconsistencies in the cards. The three man Dalek Patrol in the Dalek expansion has a Fate Token while the three Dalek Patrol in the core game does not.

Neoscream's Painting Table: 6th of August 2017
Hi everyone and welcome to another blog post. As the back log of painting is finally done. I want to move on to something else. I have decided to show off a part of my on display collections/work space each week. Let us start with the first of the four display cupboards above my bad, the one on the left. This cupboard contains most of my large gaming miniatures and some small special ones. Let us start with the bottom shelf.
This shelf holds my large Kingdom Death Monster figures. Lion King, Sunstalker (at this point in time it is not there as it is waiting to be under coated) and Phoenix. Both the Gorm and the Lonely Tree did live in here until it was painted. Now it is boxed up to travel with the game. I normally keep the Gorm, the White Lion and the Screaming Antelope in the core box as these were the most commonly hunted figures and as the Lonely Tree is/can be used as two bits of terrain, it is useful to carry around too.
The second shelf has the rest of my KDM Monsters that are not in the core box, or on the bottom shelf. The only exception is the Spidicules (due to size) and the Forsaker (as I forgot to put him back after doing the back log photos).
The third shelf has a bunch of smaller random figures. A couple of characters and a banner from my old Warhammer Fantasy Chaos army (the only things I kept), the Ninja KDM figure (as the umbrella is too delicate and big to transport with the other survivors), my Neoscream mascots figure, a Battletech Axeman figure (bought as a reminder of the Battletech cartoon), Knight Miniatures Iron Man, a figure I made based on Lily Rain Eve from CosmicBreak, two large Arcadia Quest figure, and a Demi-Gods.
On the top shelf was my Inquisitor stuff (well most) and the Poison Dragon from Arcadia Quest.
Next week I will be the middle cupboard.
This week I have managed to finish off: I am currently painting Trista from Reaper Miniatures Bones; Scooper from Sphere Wars; and Tinkerbell from Tale Of War Miniatures.
Sadly it was not much this week. However, I have been building Darleks and Cybermen for Doctor Who Exterminate, which I will be playing against Bob next week. I am currently painting Astrid from Reaper Miniatures Bones; the 2015 Salute figure; Peter Pan from Tale Of War Miniatures; Sephera (cannot remember where she is from); and four Monster Fruit.
Kingdom Death Monster WWMK
On Monday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a game of Kingdom Death Monster. Adrian, Michael, and Bob turned up. There was no Wai-Yin, but she gave a reason why. We went up against a level two Gorm. This was the first time we went up against a level two monster in this campaign. Seeing the traits of the monster, the group began thinking it was a was a bad move. However, we did take it down in two turns. We did suffer some injuries, but they were mainly due to events than attacks.
The Settlement event was Glossolalia, where we got a good result due to a life time reroll. The Story event was Principle of Society, where we picked Barbaric and luckily we did not get the result that meant that we would have lost all our resources. Our innovation this time was Beds. We also build two more Leather Shields and a Weapon Smith.
HeroClix
On Thursday I went down to York House for some games of HeroClix. This week's we continued the 'Teenage Kicks' scenario. 400 points. It is time to find the most Kickass Teenage Supergroup. Six teams enter the arena in a battle to find the ultimate champions. All players will play each team at least once. Darren S supplied the teams and the teams are Runaways, Young Avengers, New Mutants, Teen Titans, Ravagers and Initiative. The image next to this is of the team lists.
On the first game of the day, I was up against Michael. We were using the remain two teams needed to use, him as Teen Titans versus me as Runaways. I managed to win this one. Also, Darren won his game against Adrian in their friendly.
Darren decided to do a top four playoff of the top teams. Young Avengers, Runaways, New Mutants and Teen Titans. On the semi-finals, I was up against Darren. I ended up with the New Mutants team while Darren ended up being the Young Avengers team. Like normal against Darren and the Young Avengers, I lost. Meaning the Young Avengers move on to the finals and New Mutants will be in the third place playoffs. Also, Michael won his game against his brother Adrian.
On the final game of the play, I was up against Adrian. We were using the teams to determine who will be in fourth place. I was using the Runaways while Adrian was using the New Mutants. I managed to win this one. Also in the finals, Darren who was using Teen Titans won his game against Michael who was using Young Avenger.
So due to the top four playoff, Young Avengers lost their throne to Teen Titans who were third in the campaign before the top four playoff.
Simon's
On Friday evening, I went down to Simon's with Darren H. As there was no Richard, we did not play KDM. Instead, we mainly chatted and played four rounds of Exploding Kittens. Three with the NSFW deck and one with the standard deck. If memory services me right, Darren won two games (first and last) and both myself and Simon won one game each.
Card Gaming
On Saturday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a Future Card Buddy tournament. However, we did not have enough players by starting time. So it ended up being casual Bushiroad card game. I traded for so extra cards for my Chouchou deck, an X-tiger (finally) and another Hero World deck for Buddyfight. I got a ton of Cardfight Vanguard and Buddyfight games with Crawford and Matt, as well as watching a game of Bushiroad's new card game, Dragoborne. It was an enjoyable day, apart from the long bus journeys home.
