Neoscream's Gamer life: 18th to 24th July 2016
Welcome everybody to another the "Neoscream's Gamer Life" post. This is my weekly post of life and gaming. This week's Kingdom Death opening pictures is the Gryphon.
On Monday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a game of the Star Wars Imperial Assault. This time we were playing Biv Bodhrik's personal mission. Sadly we ended up losing on the last turn, however I was very close.
I have not done much Pokemon Go due to problem blog writing, parents being off work and room tidying. However I did go on a work with Liam and Crawford of Tuesday and I managed to get to level eighteen.
The internet is now back to normal, however the Ethernet ports do not seem to work. To cut down on cables and to be a quick fix my parents decided to got the wireless adapters for the Sky box and the Xbox 360.
Recently my parents have redecorating the house. Several weeks ago they got a bunch of new furniture for the living room and now last week we got a new bathroom fitted and my day painted their bedroom, the bathroom and the entrance way. Oh and removing the carpet and lino throughout the house apart from my room (and for unknown reasons the kitchen too) was take up as we are getting new carpet and lino at the beginning of August. Due to the amount of stuff in my room and needing somewhere to store stuff during the re-carpeting, my room is not getting redecorated or carpeted. My room will most likely be done next year. However due to the need to store stuff in my room, I have been tidying/sorting out my room so there would be room. I manage to get rid of another box of stuff as well as a bit of draw space. I just really need to do the mean work surfaces and the area at the bottom of my bed/behind my chair.
During the week I have had problems with my computer speaker this week. The day after (not on the day) a major power cut, the main speakers stopped working and sound is coming out of the tinny speaker of the monitor. I decided to leave working out what was the problem until I have done the work surfaces of my room. Then on Friday night I was getting set up for a game of L4D2 with my friends. I unplugged my speakers and plugged in my headphones like I normally do, However I the sound was still coming out of the monitor. I then plugged the headphones into the headphone port of the monitor, but still the sound was coming out of the monitor's speakers. As I was in a rush I decided to move the mic away from the computer and as close in me as possible. I later learnt that this was a bad move as it place the mic as it was where I rest my elbow while using my mouse. Sadly this was not the only little I had. As my surfaces still in a massive mess, I had to play with the keyboard on my lap. On top of that I was having connection problems with my keyboard. It was nothing new, however it was not this bad. Thought it was due to distance, so after having tons of problem moving around, I managed to cleared a space. However I was still having the problem and the keyboard was closer to the computer than it normally was. I tried changing batteries just in case that, even tho the low battery light was not on. At first it seemed to work, but it soon started to act up again making the game unplayable. On top of other bugs with Window I know I have to try and fix one day, I had to quite. The next day I picked up a new wireless keyboard and mouse and the new keyboard works great. Oh and I have fixed the speakers too. It was a simple software problem that never happened to me with this computer.
On Thursday I went down to York House for HeroClix. The scenario was "Ladies Night". 400 points, Female Characters Only. I ended up I ended up building an X-(wo)Men themed team who were:
Storm (003 Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 50
Emma Frost (005a Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 80
Kitty Pryde (023a Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 45
Rachel Summers (010 Marvel X-Men Day of Future Past) 76
Dazzler (008 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 75
Jean Grey (017 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 40
Nocturne (034 Marvel Super Nova) 35
=401 points
On the first round I was up against Darren S who was using a Lady Liberators team who were:
Wasp (008 Marvel Civil War event) 70
Scarlet Witch (055 Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 75
Spider-Woman (055 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD) 90
Invisible Woman (102 Marvel Marvel Chaos War) 80
Tigra (040 Marvel Civil War event) 80
=395 points
Like normal against Darren S, I lost. Also Michael won his game against his brother Adrian. On the second round I was up against Adrian who was also using an X-(wo)Men themed team who were:
Storm (003 Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 50
Pixie (056 Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 75
White Phoenix Hope (103 Marvel Avengers versus X-Men) 175
Emma Frost (010 Marvel Avengers versus X-Men) 100
=400 points
I managed to win this game. Also Darren S won his game against Michael. On the third and final round I was up against Michael who was using a Femizons themed team who were:
Songbird (024 Marvel Civil War event) 70
Superia (032 Marvel Avengers Assemble) 140
Lyra (016 Marvel Incredible Hulk) 88
Thundra (012 Marvel Incredible Hulk) 88
=383 points
I am not sure I am right on what he used as I sadly never got a picture of his team. However I do know that the first two figures are correct. Also I forgot to note down the results. I have a feeling I won my game and Darren S won his game against Adrian, but I am not a hundred percent sure.
This week's scenario is 500 points, no figure over 500 points.
On Saturday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a Cardfight Vanguard Tournament. I decided to go with my Nova Grappler deck as I have be using my Cosmic Heroes deck quite a lot lately. It was a Extreme format Tournament, meaning you can cross clans. Four timed rounds of best of three games followed by top four play off that are single game with no time limit. Draws are classed as a lost for both players. Due to the format I decided to swap the Nova Grappler G-Guardians for the new Dimensional Police ones.
On the first round I was up against a Pale Moon player. Sadly it ended up being a draw.
On the second round I was up against Jasper who was using an Oracle Think Tank deck. Sadly with one game win each and only like two minutes left we had to call it a draw. Afterwards we stopped for a lunch break.
On the third I was up against a Shadow Paladin deck. Sadly it ended up being a draw again.
On the fourth and final round before the top four cut off, I was up against Wai-Yin who was using a Pale Moon deck for the first time. I oddly managed to win this round quite quickly. Sadly with only one win I did not get into the top four.

Neoscream's Gamer life: 4th to 17th July 2016
Welcome everybody to another the "Neoscream's Gamer Life" post. This is my weekly post of life and gaming. This week's Kingdom Death opening pictures is the Gold Smoke Knight.
Sorry for no post last week. I have sadly had some major home Internet problems since Thursday the 7th due to problems. For more information see both the Life sections. Also sorry about being late with the post, been having problems writing the post for last week.
I have split the Life section into two, one for each week. This is because I have already written the first week's post. Also there is no "Painting and Converting" section due to the lack of space to take photos and time.
On Monday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a game of Frostgrave. We played the six scenario from the Thaw of the Lich Lord book with five players on one 3' by 4' board. Sadly my warband only managed to only get one treasure token like normal and my Wizard Holica only gained two levels. I up her Health to seventeen which in turn up my Apprentice's Health to thirteen, plus I made Elemental Bolt easier to cast.
On Wednesday morning (UK time) Pokemon Go was finally released. However it was not released world wide like everyone hoped for. It was only released in Japan and Australia (and the USA the next day). However there was a way round it that most people (including people from the USA before it was officially released in there) were using. APK Pure is an official Android App (but not from the Play Store) that lets people download Android apps regardless of their region. Myself and a ton of friends from Wargames Workshop MK (mostly the card game players) picked it up from there and have been playing it ever since. I even created a Milton Keynes Pokemon Go group on Facebook as it would have taking over Shell's Card Circuit M.K. group. In fact there is over seventy members by the end of the week and the game is not officially out in the UK. Wow.
For these who do not know, Pokemon Go is an augmented-reality game that involves you walking around the real world and catching Pokemon within it, your phone being your lens between the two realities.
There have been some problems with the game's servers. On both Wednesday and Thursday the game went down from four hours at about 7 pm and on Friday it went down for over five hours from about 4:30/5 pm. Due to high demand by the look of things on the servers. Hopefully things will improve over time. Also there has been an awful amount of bugs in gym battles which are most likely to do with the Server problems (also Nintendo blocking UK Pokemon trainer accounts until the game is officially out in the UK does not hope ever at those gyms are locked too). Due to these problems, the official release to the rest of the world is on pause until the problems are fixed. Oh, it eats up battery power like made mad and you need internet and GPS to play the game.
Despite the server problems and gym bugs, it is a very fun game, especially if you are a fan of the original generation. Plus it gets you out and about. Hopefully with all the extra walking I have been doing because of the game I can loss weight. All the walking to and from work and eating salad buns for lunch at work instead of a large fried chicken burger, has only lost me a couple of inches and no weight.
Now back to non Pokemon Go stuff. On Thursday BT came over to move to phone port for the internet to a different wall. They did it, however they never physically moved/reconnected the hub or tested it as the line had to be left alone (unused for about twenty minutes). I had to rush back home while out playing Pokemon Go with Liam to move and reconnect the home hub. However the broadband was not working. We phoned up BT. They said that there was a fault in the line (their end) and that it could take up to forty-eight hours to clear. The next day they phoned up saying that the fault in the line was cleared and that we needed to reboot the hub again. We have reboot and reconnected it several times and we still have no Internet. They are meant to be coming Tuesday to fix it. As this blog is meant to be about last week and not this week, I will leave it there. Apart from this post "should be posting the day after I get home internet access back to my computer. This is due to I prefer to writing the Gaming News side, the teams for HeroClix, labels and pictures on computer than phone. Oh and as I could not watch YouTube or Netflix while printing, I have not done any printing sadly.
On Monday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for the first game of the Star Wars Imperial
Assault campaign we are starting. Bob was playing as the Empire while myself, Ian and one other person (I am bad at remembering names) the Rebel Heroes. Ian was Jyn Odan the Sly Smuggler, I was Mak Eshka'rey the Bold Renegade Sniper and the other player was Biv Bodhrik the Vengeful Guerrilla. We played the first mission where you have to destroy the computer terminals. We just managed to do it on the last action of the last turn.
On Friday night I went to Simon's for a game of Kingdom Death Monster with Richard and Darren H. We hunted a Level one Screaming Antelope. We did consider hunting a level two Screaming Antelope, however due to time because of doing the previous lantern year's Settlement phase and the news on the attempted coup in Turkey, we decided against it. The fight was quick and easy. The Settlement event "Murder" might have cost us two Survivors, however this was not a bad thing as the Killer was retired due to a disorder and this person who got killed had the Sleeping Virus Flower. As there ended up being two Nemesis events (that is if we retaliate against the King's Hand) this Settlement phase, we decided to call it a night and do them next time we play Kingdom Death Monster.
During the weekend I have been keeping up with Pokemon Go, managing to get to level seventeen. However apart from going on a large group walk on Saturday I did not do much during the weekend as I was busy tidying my bedroom and other stuff. However the group walk on Saturday was a great time.
There were also so chaos with the Pokemon Go MK Facebook Group that really got me stressed out. I will not go into detail, just that it was mainly due to my horrible miss reading a message from Shell on Friday evening. I was in a rush trying to get my Kingdom Death Monster stuff before Richard and I was running late due a phone call.
I got back into tidying my Bedroom on Sunday. It is still a bit of a bomb site, however I managed to get rid of over a box and a half stuff and that is after transferring a ton of stuff into boxes too. I still have more work to do. Just have to remember that the floor needs to be clear before the 1st of August so my parents can store stuff in my room while we get new carpets laid throughout the house (not including my room.
Now for the Internet chaos. When the BT engineer came they worked out the problem. For some unknown reason BT had changed us from fibber line to copper line broadband even though we are still paying for. This meant our Hub was not picking it up due to the Openreach modem. He reconfigured the Home Hub setup without the Openreach modem and we had internet back again, however it was damn slow. About 1.1mb/s. BT contacted us to apologise about the mistake. They will swoop us back to fibber on Monday and will send us their newest up to date Home Hub, the Home Hub 5, as compensation for the trouble they caused. (As I was finishing this post off the post I learnt that it was not the newest one as they release a newer model earlier this month.) Due to the slowness, I decided to leave posting a post that week and make this week's post a double size one, as I did not want to deal with the poor quality connection. I later found out that the connection was not as bad as I first thought (but it was still crap). Dropbox was slowing things down as there was about a weeks worth of Pokemon Go pictures to download to the computer and Laptop.
On Thursday I went down to York House for HeroClix. The scenario was "Mr and Mrs". 500 points, three Actions. The team must contain the male and female variants (i.e Hulk and She Hulk, Hawk Man and Hawk Girl etc.) or a famous comic book couple (Scot and Jean, Lois and Clark etc.). I ended up I ended up building an X-Men themed team who were:
Storm (003 Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 50
Professor X (034 Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 70
Nightcrawler (044 Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 60
Colossus (014 Marvel X-Men Days of Future Past) 150
Shadowcat (204 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 70
Wolverine (001 Marvel Wolverine and the X-Men) 100
=500 points
On the first round I was up against Robert Adams who was using a Yu-Gi-Oh team who were:
Dark Magician Girl (018 Yu-Gi-Oh Series Two) 140
Mystical Elf (044 Yu-Gi-Oh Series One) 50
Dark Magician (055 Yu-Gi-Oh Series One) 175
=365 points
They is a figure I am missing (and maybe Trap and Spells) however oddly I do not have a picture of his team (must have done Darren's team twice by mistake). I managed to win this game. Also Darren S got the bye and Michael won his game against his brother Adrian. On the second round I was up against Michael was using an Assassin themed team who were:
Lady Bullseye (029 Marvel Deadpool) 72
Bullseye (036 Marvel Deadpool) 110
Lady Deadpool (037 Marvel Deadpool) 112
Black Widow (003 Marvel Captain Ameria Civil War) 95
=397 points
Looks like I am missing something, however the photo of the team I have matches with what I have here and I cannot remember if he had any more. I won this game by white wash. Also Robert Adams got the bye and Darren S won his game against Adrian. On the third and final round I was up against Darren S who was using an A.I.M. themed team who were:
M.O.D.A.M. (049 Marvel Age of Ulton event) 131
MODOK (050 Marvel Captain America) 160
Proteus (057 Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 35
Dreadnought (204 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 75
2x Dreadnought (006 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 50 x 2 = 100
=501 points
Like normal against Darren S I lost. Also Adrian got the bye and Michael won his game against Robert Adams. For anyone is interested here is Adrian's team, it is a Fantastic Four team:
Storm (020 Marvel Heroclix 10th Anniversary) 98
Mr. Fantastic (101 Marvel Chaos War) 90
Joe Fixit (036 Marvel Incredible Hulk) 115
Black Panther (024 Marvel Avengers) 92
She-Hulk (007 Marvel Incredible Hulk) 105
=500 points
On Saturday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a Cardfight Vanguard Tournament. I decided to stick with my Cosmic Heroes deck. Due to having an odd number of players, fifteen, one player round had to take the bye. It was the standard Cardfight Vanguard Tournament rules. Four timed rounds of best of three games followed by top four play off that are single game with no time limit. Draws are classed as a lost for both players.
On the first round I was up against a Shadow Paladin player. I managed to win this game.
On the second round I was up against Liam who was using a Gold Paladin deck. Sadly I lost this round. Afterwards we stopped for a lunch break.
On the third I was up against Jasper who was using an Oracle Think Tank deck. Sadly with one game win each and only like two minutes left we had to call it a draw.
On the forth and final round before the top four cut off I got the bye. Sadly I did not make the top four cut off. While the top four was happening, myself, Jordan, Wai-Yin and one other did a little bit of Pokemon hunting on Pokemon Go.
On Thursday I went down to York House for HeroClix. The scenario was "The Unusuals". 600 points, four Actions. Only unusual 'Named' Theme Team Only! So no (plain) X-Men, (plain) Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D. Justice League, Sinister Sindicate, Justice League, Bat Family etc.. allow. Teams like West Coast Avengers Fine, Secret Avengers, Justice League International and Batman Inc are all fine. I decided to go with a Marvel Knight's themed team who were:
Black Widow (001 Marvel Avengers Assemble) 110
Dagger (003 Marvel Amazing Spiderman) 45
Cloak (022 Marvel Amazing Spiderman) 55
Moon Knight (032 Marvel Amazing Spiderman) 109
Daredevil (021 Marvel Incredible Hulk) 75
Luke Cage (014 Marvel Captain America) 98 + Thunderbolts (ATA) 8 = 106
Black Cat (023 Marvel Clobberin' Time) 32
Shang-Chi (012 Marvel Avengers) 58
=590 points
On the first round I was up against Darren S and like normal against him I lost. Also Adrian won his game against his brother Michael.
On the second round I was up against Michael and I won that game.
On the third and final round I was up against Adrian who was using a Black Lanterns themed team and I somehow managed to win the game.

Also the set will included rare Sketch Variants of several of the figure the spots alternate dials. Sounds like a new version of primes to me.

These are local gaming events in Milton Keynes I know of, Guardians of Tyr events at Wargames Workshop Northampton and other events I plan on going to or want to advertise.
Wargames Workshop MK has a £3 gaming fee or £3.50 for tournaments that do not already have a charge. With non-tournaments you will also need to pre-book a table for
For rules for Guardians of Tyr tournaments as well as information on pre booking your place in tournament. Pre booking is highly recommended so they know how many people are coming. So please go to their website which there is a link to it under my links section which are located on the right hand side of this blog.
York House has a £3 on the day gaming fee (unless you are a child or unemployed where it is £1) and a £5 fee for a year’s membership. However the first day is free and they normally only take the yearly membership fee at the start of the year. The hall officially opens at 7PM for us gamers, but normally people start arriving about fifteen minutes early to grab tables.
Until next time, enjoy life.
"Blog News"
Sorry for no post last week. I have sadly had some major home Internet problems since Thursday the 7th due to problems. For more information see both the Life sections. Also sorry about being late with the post, been having problems writing the post for last week.
I have split the Life section into two, one for each week. This is because I have already written the first week's post. Also there is no "Painting and Converting" section due to the lack of space to take photos and time.
"Life: 4th to 10th of July"

"Cardfight Vanguard Tournament"

“Gaming News”
This is my brief weekly news section from the world of of war, board and card gaming (plus some other games). This up-to-date to when I post this than to Sunday night like the rest of the post. I will be trying to get back into posting Privateer Press, Malifaux, Force of Will and Crooked Dice Games news.
First off we have the Bushiroad news. With Weiß Schwarz, last Friday saw the release of the "Rinne of Boundary" extra booster set in Japanese. Also today sees the release of the booster set "Kantai Collection European Fleet" in Japanese.
With Cardfight Vanguard, today sees release of G Technical Booster Two "The Genius Strategy" in Japanese. Also next Friday will see the release of G Clan Booster Three "Blessing of Divas" in English.
Also with Future Card Buddyfight, last Friday saw the release D Trial Deck one "Dragon Emperor of the Colossal Ocean" in both English and Japanese. Also today sees the release of D Booster Set Two "Roar! Invincible Dragon!!" in English.

Neoscream's Gamer life: 27th June to 3rd July 2016
Welcome everybody to another the "Neoscream's Gamer Life" post. This is my weekly post of life and gaming. This week's Kingdom Death opening pictures is the Frogdog.
OK there was no "Gaming News from Neoscream" post last week. This is because after posting last week's "Neoscream's Life" I decided I will from now on do ONE big joint post. This will make it easier for me to work on the posts as I would be working on both sides at the some time instead of working on 'Life' on the weekend and Monday (and Tuesday) where I end up forgetting things and then working on 'Gaming' on Wednesday to Friday. The only problems that there will be is the space for Labels. I had to drop the Labels "WWE, "Foxes", "X-Men", "Game of Thrones", "TMNT" and "Anime" from this post. However this will be the last post to use the "Game News" tag.
If anyone has any ideas for a better layout for this new combined post please let me know in the comment, on Facebook or on Twitter.
On Monday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for a game of Kingdom Death Monster. This was the first time I had tried out wipe able character sheets and a spreadsheet style record system for characters. They seem to have worked fine. Bob, Michael and Robert turned up to play this time so I could play as a character instead of being the Monster controller. We hunted down another level one White Lion. Due to the fact that we could not re-equip my character who I created back during the beginning of the campaign called Louisa (named after Foxes), got heavily damage due to a deep froze as she only had a Lion Coat as she lost the the Cloth skirt she had during the last game. Anyway we mage to defeat the Lion with ease and the Armoured Strangers left us a Statue while a humanoid Lion statue appeared in the middle of the settlement during the Settlement phase.
Oh the double post of last week's "Neoscream's Life" post and the Tweeter delay. When I posted last week's post, Blogger sent me to a blank new post. I went to the posts page and spotted the top post was a draft and it was the post I was trying to post. So I went into the post again and tried to posted it again, but I got a blank new post again. I went to the posts page again again and there was still a draft copy of the post on the top. However I noticed below it was two posted copies of the post. Facepalm. I checked the blog and there was two copies of the post. I tried to delete one of the posts and the draft, however Blogger just jams up. As I had to delete one post, I decided to play it safe and wait until I had deleted the double post as I do not wait to link the one that gets deleted. It was still jamming up on Wednesday too. However I manage to delete them on Thursday, however it maybe due to the face that this time I deleted them individually instead of together.
There was a plan on a game of Kingdom Death Monster on Friday, but sadly it was cancelled.
On Saturday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK for some Luck and Logic. I got another booster box and get in a bunch of trades. My Mejiko and Sena decks are both close to being finished, however I am still missing a lot of cards for my Aoi deck. I might give up on trying to build an Aoi deck as I miss a lot more cards due to rarity and the fact that there is a lot of people trying to build her deck. I sadly only got half a demo using my Sena deck game before I had to leave, due to Shell and Liam being busy with other demo games of Luck and Logic as well as playing Force of Will. According to Liam, the way it was going I would have most likely won as I had destroyed a lot more gates than what he did.
During the weekend I have been doing a bit of tidying of my bed room. Sadly after about three bags of rubbish it still looks like a bomb site. Well at least I can walk in it earlier now. Hopefully things will improve this weekend when I continue with the tidying.
On Thursday I went down to York House for HeroClix. The scenario was "The 'New' Fantastic Four". 400 points, four figures no more no less, no figure with the Fantastic Four Keyword. After trying to build several teams (like Alpha Flight and a Days of Future Past Sentinels) I ended up going for a Stark Industries themed team who were:
Silver Centurion (001b Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 161 + Secret Avengers (ATA) 5 = 166
Rescue (002 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 65
War Machine (029a Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 125 + Secret Avengers (ATA) 5 = 130
Bethany Cabe (102 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 39
=400 points
On the first round I was up against Michael who was using a SHIELD themed team who were:
Agent Ward (012 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD) 55
Radiance (041 Marvel Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD) 65
War Machine (026 Marvel Age of Ultron) 200
Satana Hellstrom (034 Marvel Amazing Spider-man) 82
=402 points
I managed to win this game. Also Darren S won his game against Adrian. On the second round I was up against Darren S who was using a Circle of Four (who the hell) themed team who were:
Red Hulk (004 Wizkids Marvel 2016 Events) 100
X-23 (037 Marvel Uncanny X-Men) 100
Venom (034 Marvel Deadpool) 96
Ghost Rider (026 Wizkids Marvel Events) 99
=395 points
Like normal against Darren S, I lost the game. Also Adrian won his game against his brother Michael. On the third and final round I was up against Adrian who was using an Avengers themed team who were:
Spider-Man (014 Marvel Civil War) 80
Wolverine (029 Marvel Chaos War) 90
Black Panther (007 Marvel Avengers vs X-Men) 100
Iron Man (009 Marvel HeroClix 10th Anniverary) 125
=395 points
It was a tight game, however I just managed to win this game. Also Darren S won his game against Michael.
This week's scenario is "Mr and Mrs". 500 points, 3 Actions. The team must contain the male and female variants (i.e Hulk and She Hulk, Hawk Man and Hawk Girl etc.) or a famous comic book couple (Scot and Jean, Lois and Clark etc.).
After being missing for two weeks the "Painting and Converting" section is back. This week I have for you all the Zombivor version of Julien and both versions of Tiff from Zombicide as well as the Lion Knight from Kingdom Death Monster.
During the week I have not managed to finish anything sadly. In next week’s post there should hopefully be the Lion Knight's three female assistants and the Flower Knight from Kingdom Death Monster. Due to tidying there is no end of week photo of what I am currently painting.
