Welcome to the “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is
my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games, my
painting and upcoming local events.
“Gaming News”
First off we have the HeroClix news. We got previews of:
Warmachine, Giant Man, Yellowjacket and Blue Marvel from Marvel Age of Ultron
Event.
Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. The Zombicide Black
Plauge KickStarter has finished. It has made $4,079,204 with 20,915 backers
making it the second highest non-computer gaming KickStarters ever. Since last
week’s post untill it closed they have managed to unlock: The KickStarter exclusive Survivors Gilbert and Piper was added to both
Pledge levels; the KickStarter exclusive Survivors Scowl, Gregoire, Beauregard,
Doctor Stormcrowl and Chauncey was added to Knight Pledge; the Jovem Nerd
Special Guest Box set as an add-on; a set of black custom dice as an add-on;
the Abominatroll was added to both pledge levels; Necromancer cards were added
to the Stefan Kopinski Special Guest Box set; the Kickstarter exclusive
survivors Grom and Thalia as add-ons; three new vault cards were added to NPC
Zombies set two; two new spell cards were added to the John Howe Special Guest
Box set; and the KickStarter exclusive Abominrat was added to the Knight pledge
level.
Their next KickStarter they should be doing is
"The Others: The Seven Sins".
Now for the Demigods Rising news. Demigods Rising
Evolution has ended making $72,060 with 543 backers. Since last week's post
until if finished they have managed to unlock: The Elf Warrior hero Swordmistress; the Dwarven Archer hero Sniper; the
Human Warrior hero Gadiator; and a second Minion sculpt.
Next is the Cardfight Vanguard news. G Booster Set 3
“Sovereign Star Dragon” is now out in English. They also revealed that there
will be an official online version of the game coming soon which is great next
however how will it be run is unclear at the moment.
Now
for the Mantic news. The pledge manager for Deadzone is now up and they should
be posting PDF copy of the second edition rules of Kings of War soon.
Next is the Ninja Division news. News on the Super
Dungeon Explore Forgotten King wave two. With US and Australia it should have
started shipping. With Canada the stuff
is still on its way to their fulfilment centre. With the UK and EU it is still
cleaning customs.
Now for some Robotech RPG Tactics news. We got an
image of the Miriya Super Valkyrie convention exclusive figure is week.
Next is the Wyrd Games news. They have revealed the
stat cards for the two Henchmen leaders from the Two Player Starter set.
Now for the Guild Ball news. This week we got a look
at Strongbox, the new Union Mascot for Season Two.
Next is the Stonehaven Miniatures news. With their
Half-Orc Adventures, I got my stuff on Tuesday. Hippy.
Their new KickStarted, Stonehaven Peacekeeper’s Oath,
has started. There are four major pledge levels: Just the cards which includes
character cards for all their past figures (Dwarven, Gnome, Elf and Half-Orc
Adventurers); just the models; the game; and the game plus character cards for
all their past figures (Dwarven, Gnome, Elf and Half-Orc Adventurers). I have
gone for the game with past character cards. They have not unlocked anything
yet. The stretch goals that are still going as I post this are: Funding at
$60k; the dwarves Eresbet Ironheart will be added to the game at $80k; two more
dwarfves at $90k; and two more dwarfves at $100k.
The only image we have of the Attack On Titan board game at the moment. |
Now for the Cryptozoic Entertainment news. These are
the people behind the Ghostbusters the board game. They have revealed that they
have the licence and started work on an "Attack On Titan" board game.
After finally starting to watch this series and knowing the hype, I cannot wait
to see this game.
Lastly for some rare Games Workshop news. Warhammer
Age of Sigmar is officially out tomorrow. It is a MAJOR Warhammer Fantasy
reboot. All new rules, all new race/faction names (Aelf instead of Elves and Duardin
instead of Dwarves). The new Stormcast Eternals faction and the Khorne Chaos
Warriors are basically look strongly like Space Marines and Khorne Berserkers
from Warhammer 40,000 but with swords, axes, hammers and shields instead of back packs and
guns. There are NO points system to the game, it runs on number of figures
instead (fifty dragons verses fifty goblins anyone). How this will work I do not know, but I should be getting a demo game at Wargames Workshop this coming Monday, so we have to wait and see.
