Gaming News from Neoscream: 3rd July 2015

Welcome to the “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games, my painting and upcoming local events.

“Gaming News”

First off we have the HeroClix news. We got previews of: Ultron-6, Ultron-6 Drone, Vision, Ultron-14, Ultron-18.2, Ultron-18.2 Drone, Age of Ultron version of Ultron and Age of Ultron version of Ultron Drone from Marvel Age of Ultron Event.

Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. With the Zombicide Black Plauge KickStarter, it is still going strong. It is currently at seventh place in the top twenty non-computer gaming KickStarters. They have released a PDF the the rulebook for Black Plague as well. Since last week’s post they have managed to unlock: The Naiada Special Guest Survivor/Necromancer Ostokar the Pale was added to both pledge levels; the Edouard Guiton and Neal Adams Special Guest Boxes as an add-on; the KickStarter exclusive Necromancer Grin was added to Knight Pledge level; Deadeye Walkers as an add-on; the Counter Base Pack as an add-on; the KickStarter exclusive Necromancer Queen Medea was added to both Pledge levels; cards for a Necromancer version of Evil Troy was added to both Pledge levels; the KickStarter exclusive Survivor Lady Faye was added to both Pledge levels; a set of two variable height deck holders as add-ons.
The Kingdom Death Bone Witch
The stretch goals that are still going as I post this are: The KickStarter exclusive Survivor Gilbert will be added to both Pledge levels at $2.8m; and the KickStarter exclusive Survivor Scowl will be added to Knight Pledge level at $2,849k.
This KickStarter will end this coming Tuesday, let us see what they can unlock between now and then.

Now for the Demigods Rising news. With Demigods Rising Evolution, since last week's post they have managed to unlock: The seventh Demigod the Angel of Death from Middara: and the Orc Rogue hero Saboteur.
The stretch goals that are still going as I post this are: The Elf Warrior hero Swordmistress a $55k.
There is a massive under estimation with the upgrade levels. You do not release plastic version with new resin version, you replace ALL plastics with the lower count new resin version. That means at Silver Level for a cost of $49, you replace the four original Demigods in plastic, the God of War, two copies of the original twenty-five heroes (now with alternate forms) in plastic and eight minions in plastic with four Demigods of you chose (seven now to choose from) in resin with alternate parts, the God of War and one copy of sixteen heroes of you chose in resin with all with alternate parts and forms. So you are paying $49 more (about half the cost of the original KickStarter) for twenty resins figures instead of sixty-three plastic (however I have an odd feeling that the God of War was resin in resins). While with Gold level for an extra cost of $149 (about one and a half times the cost of the original KickStarter) you replace the plastics for seven Demigods in resin with alternate parts, the God of War, one copies of the original twenty-six (might become twenty-seven) heroes in resin with all with alternate parts and forms and eight minions in resin. I am not too happy with the massive loss of figure with the massive price up compared to the originally price. Now being resin, better sculpts and with the alternate parts might be fine with most people, but I am not too help on paying more for less. I am still backing the KickStarter and supporting it, but I am just getting add-ons instead of upgrading (downgrading in numbers) my original pledge.
This KickStarter will end this coming Tuesday, let us see what they can unlock between now and then.

Next is the Cardfight Vanguard news. This month will see the release of G Title Booster 1 “Touken Ranbu –ONLINE-” on the 17th in Japanese and G Booster Set 3 “Sovereign Star Dragon” on the 10th in English. There is a Sneak Peek (pre-release) event this Sunday at Wargames Workshop MK. Places are limited and sadly I will not be going due to work.

The weapon designer of the Twilight Order from
Kingdom Death.
Now for the Journey: Wrath of Daemons news. Wave one shipping news. The transport ship for the US is on way and should arrive at dock mid-July. The ship to the EU has left and should arrive at the docks on the 22nd of July. The ship to Australia New Zealand will leave on 7th of July and arrive at the docks on 21st July. Direct mail to other locations has started and we will continue carrying boxes to the post office until mid-July. And deliveries to Hong Kong Backers should be finished by the end of today. These boxes arrive very quickly; it was one of these that arrived already.

Next is the Kingdom Death news. Everything is completed and now printing has started. There is still no true set shipment date, but it is close. They gave use a ton of CAD and drawings of up and coming future Kingdom Death releases which includes new expansions for Monster.
Also on Tusday night/Wensday Morning they updated the web store with a ton of new stuff and a couple of restocks. The new releases were Distracted, Lion Knight 1st, Mage and Percival, while the restock was Ammo Slave and Flower Witch. Sadly most of the stuff sold out very quickly so I have missed out on them. I Really would have liked to get Mage and maybe Distracted. What is left in the webstore as I post this are Percival, Ammo Slave, Apotheosis male version, Apotheosis female version, Savior and the Pinups of Death Hard Plastic Collection.

Now for the Mantic news. Shipment of wave three of DreadBall Xtreme has started this Monday. I will take them several weeks to ship everything.

Next is the Ninja Division news. News on the Super Dungeon Explore Forgotten King wave 2. With US and Canada it is through customs and should begin shipping soon if it has not already. With Asia they should have finish shipping to back. With the UK the ship is now should have arrive in port last Monday. With the EU the ship should arrive at port at the end of this week if it has not already. And with Australia the ship has arrived and Wave 2 should have arrive at their warehouse.

Now for the Thunderbirds Co-operative Board Game news. Due to quality printing will take longer and wave one shipment has been push back from late August to late September now.

Next is the Wyrd Games news. They have revealed a ton of new stuff that are coming. First off there will be a Two Player Starter coming for Malifaux with two four person crews that are Henchman led of completely new models, two Fate Decks, measuring tapes, quick-start rules and a link to download a digital copy of the rules manual. The next Malifaux expansion “Shifting Loyalties” with rules for new models and rules to play the game as a campaign. Sweet! They gave example pages of some of the new Ten Thunders stuff and they look gain. The Campaign Deck which contains all the Upgrades used in the campaign system from Shifting Loyalties. The Generalist Deck which contains the general upgrades in M2E and Crossroads. Into the Steam which is the first expansion for Through the Breach. Northern Aggression which is the next Penny Dreadful multi-part adventure for Through the Breach. Darkness Comes Rattling which is a cooperative board game that pits the players against the snake Darkness.  All of the above is scheduled (but not guaranteed) to be available in stores in August or September. We also got a piece of artwork of the Crossroads Seven. A Malifaux band/Warband that are a mix of all the factions by the sound which the new Ten Thunder, Lust, is a part of. I cannot wait until I can see an image of the figure. I am hoping that the Crossroads Seven will be sold separately as I want two copies of Lust, One to keep as it is and one to convert to have a tsugaru jamisen instead of a violin (basically Beni Ninagawa from the Wagakki Band).

Next is the Guild Ball news. This week we got a look at Smoke, the new Alchemist Captain for Season 2. They also had a major restock on their webstore.

Now for the Wild West Exodus news. They are doing a Mega Sale on their webstore this weekend ranging from 10% to 40% discount.

Next is next on Conan from Monolith Board Games LLC. The Pledge Manager should be going live on Saturday the 25th of July.

Now for the Stonehaven Miniatures news. With their Half-Orc Adventures, the vast majority of stuff have already made it to backers and the rest will soon be arriving to backers. There will be no more updates for Half-Orc Adventures as it is all done.
They also revealed that they will be doing a new project this month which I am guessing will be KickStarted. It is a game this time instead of a miniatures line or terrain. I am not saying there will not be any in it, but this will be their first GAME. It is called Stonehaven Peacekeeper’s Oath.

Next is the Crooked Dice Games news. They have posted on-line to download the beta rules for Second Edition 7TV. I only just spotted this news as I was finishing off this post, so I have not had the time to check them out yet.
