Welcome to the “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is
my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games, my
painting and upcoming local events.
“Gaming News”
First off we have the HeroClix news. We got previews
of: Red Tornado (a female version), Huntress, Power Girl, Superman, Wonder
Woman, Batman/Superman Robot, Ulysses, Superman II, Superman Blue and Harmes
from DC Superman/Wonder Woman.

Now
for the Mantic news. With their Warpath KickStarter they have managed to unlock since the last post: Hard plastic Plague 3rd Gens; the
Plague Battlegroup; three Forge Father Tanks as a Battlegroup; Heavy Weapons
options added to the new Plague 3rd Gens; Veer-myn Tunneler; three Veer-myn
Tunnelers as a Battlegroup; BattleZone terrain a add-ons and Pledge Levels;
Hard plastic Asterian Infantry; an Asterian Battlegroup; a Brandr Urban Assault
Vehicle upgrade for the Forge Father Sturnhammer Battle Tank; a five man Enforcer
Heavy Support Team were added to the Enforcer Battlegroup and the two player starter
set; four Asterian Weapon Drones were added to the Asterian Battlegroup; and a Veer-myn
Weapon Platform was added to the Veer-myn Battlegroup.
As I post this the stretch goal that
are still going are: Reinforcements 2
which adds eiught Plague Mortars with crew options to the Plague Battlegroup
and starter set, Heavy Weapon options added to the Asterian Infantry and both a
Forge Father Jotunn Heavy Hailstorm Cannon and a five man Enforcer Peacekeepers
unit will be added to the two player starter set at $300k.

Next is the Battle System news. Their Urban Post
Apocalypse Terrain KickStarter started last Friday. Since the last post they
have managed to unlock: An extra Settee,
an extra Armchair, an extra Dining Table, two extra Chairs and an Aluminium
Ladder were added to the City Block pledge level; and a Fire Station add-on set.
As I post this the stretch goal that are still going
are: An extra Double Bed, a Green
Armchair, an extra Wardrobe and an extra Makeshift Barrier will be added to the
City Block pledge level at £105k (just off as I am about to post this); and an
extra Road Barrier, an extra Works Barrier, an extra Fence Panel and two extra
Pallets will be added to the City Block pledge level at on un revealed amount.
Now for the Cool Mini or Not news. With their “The Others:
7 Sins” Kickstarter they have managed to unlock since the last post: The Envy Controller; twenty Envy cards; the
Envy board; six Envy Abominations in three sculpts; a 7 Sins dice bag; the Envy
Avatar; three more Sins Dice; the Bruiser Hero Kanga; the KickStarter excusive
Sniper Hero P.H.D; plastic tokens as add-ons; the KickStarter excusive The
Apocalypse expansion set as an add-on that adds the four horsemen of the Apocalypse
to the game; the Gluttony Controller; twenty Gluttony cards; and the Gluttony
board.
As I post this the stretch goal that are still going
are: Six Gluttony Abominations in three
sculpts at $860k; and the Gluttony Avatar at $900k.
“The Others: 7 Sins” KickStarter will be ending early Wednesday morning, so let us see what they can unlock between now and then.
With their Blood Rage KickStarter, it has begun to
ship to backers.
Next is the Modiphius news. With their “Infinity
Role-play Game” Kickstarter they have managed to unlock since the last post: The PanOceania Faction Source Book; a Fabric
Map of Paradiso; the Dire Foes RPG Adventure book; and the Dire Foes Mission
packs as add-ons.
As I post this the stretch goal that are still going
are: The Aleph Faction Source Book at
£185k; the Yu Jing Faction Source Book at £200k; the Haqqislam Faction Source
Book at £215k; and at 2000 backers the Corvus Belli team made adventure and
premade characters will be made into a 40 page book and backers of the physical
copy of the Core Book will get a physical copy of it.
With the Thunderbirds Board Game, a PDF version of the
rulebook is up for download.
Now for the Bushiroad news. With the Cardfight
Vanguard side, today we see the release of the G Booster Set 4 “Soul Strike
Against The Supreme” in English. I get six boosters worth of cards at the Sneak
Peek and plan on picking up a booster box tomorrow. Also in October the 23rd
we will see the release of G Clan Booster 2 “Commander of the Consecutive Wave”
in Japanese. The UK Nationals is happening next Saturday at the Play Expo in Manchester.
With the WeißSchwarz side, in October we will see the release
of the Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls booster set of the 16th in
Japanese, both the Log Horizon Trial Deck and booster set in English on the 23rd
and Charlotte booster set on the 30th. The UK Nationals is happening
next Sunday at the Play Expo in Manchester.
Next is the Crooked Dice Games news. They have just
released their first Villainous Archetypes set which includes a Despotic
Dictator, an Otherwordly Invader, a Sinister Mystic and an Underworld Boss. And
they have also release four army privates armed with rifles.
Lastly there is the Shadows of Brimstone news. Wave 2 is
now currently estimated to ship in Fall 2016 and Wave 1.5 estimated to ship sometime
between now and the end of the year. Wave 1.5 should include: Caverns of Cynder
OtherWorld Expansion (including Lava Men); Frontier Town Expansion (including
Bandits); Scourge Rats (including Rat's Nest as a free bonus); Serpentmen
Warriors; Serpentmen Shaman; Void Sorcerers (was just a single Sorcerer in the

"Up and coming Events"
These are local gaming events in Milton Keynes I know
of, Guardians of Tyr events at Wargames Workshop Northampton and other events I
plan on going to or want to advertise.

On Mondays (not
including Bank Holidays) at Wargames Workshop MK is Wargaming night.
·
On Tuesdays at
Wargames Workshop MK it is Card games night (or is it just Magic the
Gathering).
·
On Thursdays York
House Youth Centre in Stony Stratford is open from Wargamers and Boardgamers.
·
On Fridays at
Wargames Workshop MK it is Friday Night Magic.
·
On Sundays,
Wargames Workshop MK is now open. It will be for role-play and board games day
on every Sunday apart from the last Sunday of the month which will be a card
games day (Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic and Cardfight Vanguard).

On Saturday the 3rd
of October 2015, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Steam Roller
Warmachine/Hordes tournament at Wargames Workshop MK.
·
On Saturday the 10th
of October 2015, there will be a Cardfight Vanguard and Weiß Schwarz Casual event
at Wargames Workshop MK. Rules of the event will be on the “CFVanguard and
WeißSchwarz M.K.” Facebook group. This will not be a tournament and there will
not be any prize support due to the Nationals happening that weekend.

On Saturday the 10th
of October 2015, there will be the Cardfight Vanguard UK Nationals at the Play
Expo in Manchester. For more details please check the Bushiroad website.

of October 2015, there will be both the Weiß Schwarz and Future Card Buddyfight
Nationals at the Play Expo in Manchester. For more details please check the

of October 2015, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Star Wars X-Wing UK Team
Championship at Jurys Inn MK. Sadly this has already sold out.

On Saturday the 17th
of October 2015, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Warhammer 40,000 tournament
at Wargames Workshop MK.

On Sunday the 25th
of October 2015, there will be a Cardfight Vanguard Tournament at Wargames
Workshop MK. Rules of the event will be on the “CFVanguard and WeißSchwarz
M.K.” Facebook group.

On Saturday the 7th
of November 2015, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Star Wars X-Wing
tournament at Wargames Workshop MK.

On Sunday the 8th
of November 2015, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Steam Roller
Warmachine/Hordes tournament at Wargames Workshop Northampton.

of November 2015 will be a Mantic Open Day.

of November 2015, Guardians of Tyr will be running Android Netrunner UK Team
Championship 2015 at Wargames Workshop Northampton.
Wargames Workshop MK has a £2 gaming fee or £4 with a
booster pack (Magic/Yu-Gi-Oh/Vanguard) unless it is a paid tournament run by
Guardians of Tyr. Weekday events normally start at 6/7PM.
For rules for Guardians of Tyr tournaments and leagues
as well as information on pre booking your place in tournament. Pre booking is
highly recommended so they know how many people are coming. So please go to
their website which there is a link to it under my links section which are
located on the right hand side of this blog.
York House has a £3 on the day gaming fee (unless you
are a child or unemployed where it is £1) and a £5 fee for a year’s membership.
However the first day is free and they only take yearly membership fee at the
start of the year. The hall officially opens at 7PM, but normally people start
arrived 15 to 20 minutes early.
“Painting and Converting”
For this post I have for you the Zombivor version of Bear
from Zombicide and the Thief from Kingdom Death. This was a change of plans as for
some weird reason I cannot find my Kingdom Death/Wrath of Kings crossover Twilight
Knight.
With the next post there should be the Sword Master
from Kingdom Death.
