Welcome
to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I
have done last week and news on stuff from Crooked Dice Games, Mantic Game,
Robotech RPG Tactics, Mekton and the Geek Goddess AJ Lee.
With
my Tonsillitis this week, on Monday and Tuesday I was fine. I ever want to
Warmachine/Hordes Journeyman League (more on that soon) and pick up the
Convergence stuff on Tuesday. However from Wednesday I started to act up again
which was a problem as I was back at work on Thursday. Lucky it cleared up
again during the weekend.
Like
I said above on Monday I went to the Warmachine/Hordes Journeyman League at
Wargames Workshop MK. Sadly the Convergence stuff was not coming into the store
until Tuesday (as the official release date was not until Wednesday). However a
ruling was made that people could change to Convergence from the second week
(which will be on the 22nd of July). So I picked up the Rules,
templates and a pack of tokens and used my Protectorate of Menoth two-player
starter Battlegroup which I picked up at Campaign for this week (well I had to
borrow the stores Crusader as I oddly got two Vanquishers). On the first game I
was up against Niall Sherry who was using a Trollblood Battlegroup. This was my
second game ever and I lost which was understandable. On the second game I was
up against Martin Copperwheat who was using the standard Protectorate of Menoth
Battlegroup. This time it ended up being a draw, but I might have ended up
losing if time was not called. Lost one, draw one. Not bad for a newbie of a
game that has been around for just over ten years. If I remembered to use my
feat in both games thing might have worked out better. Anyway I am reading up
on the rule and busy getting my Convergence readily for the second week which
is on next Monday. This will mean next week’s Model Painting post will be on
next Wednesday and the 7TV Listings for the Doctor Who team will be on ever
Friday (if HeroClix is cancelled), Saturday (if there is no games night) or
sometime the following week (most likely a double bill that Wednesday if that
happens.
On
Saturday night, me Darren, Richard and Simon got together online and played
three campaigns of Left 4 Dead. I had never played Left for dead before. It was
great fun play online with them, only wish I could have gotten a working
microphone before the third campaign. Hopefully we can get more of these gaming
nights in the future as I rarely see Simon these days.
Next
is the Mantic news. Beta rules for the Season Three DreadBall teams Zees and Asterian are
now up on Jake Thornton’s blog Quirkworthy.
Now
for the Robotech RPG Tactics. The survey is now out, however there in no pledge
manager for the add-ons yet. Also with Mekton Zero news, the survey is now out.
Next
is the Warmachne and Hordes news. This week releases were the Forces of
Warmachine: Convergence of Cyriss book, Formula P3 Paint Set for Convergence of
Cyriss, Convergence of Cyriss Battlegroup Starter and Convergence Heavy Vector
(Cipher/Inverter/Monitor) watch I brought all of apart from the paints as you
might have seen some of in yesterdays Model Painting post. Also this week the
KickStarter for the computer game Warmachine Tactics was started and it has
done quite well. We have beaten the original goal, unlocked all four original
Factions in Multiplayer and all four first wave Mercenaries for Multiplayer
(Eiryss the Mage Hunter, Greygore Boomhowler, Kell Bailoch and Gorman Di Wulfe)
by the time I went to bed on Sunday. Known stretch goal still to go are: a
Character Colouring system at $760,000; the four character Warjacks of
Apotheosis plus a mystery bonus add-on at $850,000; single-player mission pack
called “Fire and Ice” at $1,010,000; and four more Mercenary characters
(currently un-named) each at $1,021,000, $1,032,000, $1,043,000 and $1,054,000.
There
was no real news from OVA or from Crooked Dice last week.
Now
for what AJ Lee has been up to this past week. AJ appeared on Raw twice last
week. Her and Dolph Ziggler had words about their pact to both be champions.
The second time AJ had a tag team match. She was teamed with Alicia Fox and
they were up against Kaitlyn and Layla El. Oh and Big E Langston was at
ringside. Kaitlyn wants to go after AJ but Layla tries to hold her back. The
match started with Layla and Alicia. Later on in the match AJ wanted to be
tagged in and Alicia obliged. But out of noweher AJ was attacked from behind by
Kaitlyn. Alicia and Layla try to regain control. However Kaitlyn spears AJ on
the floor and then she punches AJ while the referee has given up on trying to
control things. The ref called it no Contest but it should have been Kaitlyn
being disqualified. Big E ended up carries AJ to the back. On AJ related news
from Raw, that bitch that cist AJ her GM job on Raw, Vickie Guerrero, was
fired. Sweet.
AJ
was also on Smackdown last week too. It was the first ever in ring Divas
Championship match contract signing. AJ, Big E, Kaitlyn, Layla, Teddy Long and the
other Divas (minus the Bella Twins and the two new ones). After a little bit of
doodling AJ signed the contract and then warned Kaitlyn that if she signed the
contract AJ will embarrass her more than she had ever done before. Kaitlyn
signed the contract and then AJ revealed her secret weapon, Kaitlyn’s texts to
her fake secret admirer Big E. In the texts Kaitlyn slagged off some of the
other Divas, which AJ read from the phone Big E used. Kaitlyn tries to take the
phone and AJ says ‘HULK SMASH’. Good one. Keep the comic book references come.
Anyway, Kaitlyn got pissed off. Kaitlyn basically said that she would not be manipulated
by AJ again and she will not loss to her again. AJ slaps Kaitlyn and Kaitlyn
pushes AJ and pushes the table and traps poor AJ in the corner. Kaitlyn attacks
AJ but Langston pulls Kaitlyn off AJ. Kaitlyn slap Langston and then she hits a
spear on AJ.
Like
normal the Money in the Bank results will be covered next week. Hoping to
report good news.
