Neoscream's Life: 15th to 21st of July 2013

PMX-000 Messala (Mobile Armour mode)
Welcome to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I have done last week and news on stuff from Crooked Dice Games, Mantic Game, Robotech RPG Tactics, Mekton and the Geek Goddess AJ Lee.

With my Tonsillitis this week, they are fine now. Just still on the medication until tomorrow.

We have been having major problems with our washing machine for quite some time now and I would like to talk about it. For several weeks before hand the washing machine was making a huge racket, even our next door neighbour commented about it. So on the 22nd of June (guessing on the date) my mum booked a visit from British Gas for the 27th of June. So on the 27th a British Gas engineer came to check it. The bearing had gone, so they had to replace the whole drum. As it would have to be ordered and installed by Hotpoint, we had to book another appointment which was the 4th of July. The washing machine was also too dangerous to use in this state so we could not use it until the work had been done. On 3rd of July we had a phone call from Hotpoint. According to them, British Gas never told them that the drum was needed to be ordered, so they could not install it on the day we booked it. So we had to re-book the appointment for 8th of July. On the day a Hotpoint engineer came and installed a new drum. According to my dad the engineer was quite clumsy with handling the new drum. Over the next couple of days we noticed that the washing machine was leaking. My mum called British Gas again on the 13th of July. They told us to stop using the washing machine as they expect it might be a cracked drum and booked a British Gas engineer to come on the 15th of July. They came and after a lot of looking they found it was a cracked drum. They booked a Hotpoint engineer to come and install a new drum on the 18th of July saying that the engineer will differently come with a new drum. When the Hotpoint engineer came on the Thursday and looked at the washing machine. He told my mum that the drum was cracked, which my mum replied we know that is why you are here to install a new one. The engineer said that they do not carry drum as standard as drums vary from model to model and that they were not told anything about ordering in one. My mum had to re-book for the earliest they could do was the 25th of July. After being passed around on the phone to different people trying to make a complaint about all this my mum finally got someone the following morning. The person was quite rude and unhelpful. Basically to them it takes time for these parts to arrive. Which is true but they should have order it straight away than wait until they booked the appointment to order them. They could write it off and give us money to a new one, however that would be only 30% off the new one. So that is a no. Sadly the damn it is costing us money as we had to buy some new clothes for work to keep me going and hand wash some pants so I have enough too. Not a nice job when you have a runny tummy due to Antibiotics. Figures cross the damn machine gets fixed on Thursday.

Next is the Mantic news. Images for the Plague Faction Booster figures have been revealed and I have a feeling I forgot to report that the fantastic Rebels Faction Booster figures were revealed a couple of weeks ago. A couple of small images of the new human army for Kings of War have appeared and Mantic is now doing the standard Enforcers, Cyphers and Forge Guard in hard plastic now for Deadzone. Also Jake has finished off the Season Three rule for DreadBall.

Now for the Robotech RPG Tactics. Finally a store for getting the add ons is now up. My add ons were the Special Edition Resin SDF-1, Objective Pack 1 (that has a Valkyrie arm carrying Linn Minmel, a Giant Tuna and "Infiltrator" Max Sterling), MKII Monster, a pack of YF-4 Valkyries and UEDF Token Pack.

Next is the Warmachne and Hordes news. This coming Wednesday will see the releases Aurora the Numen of Aerogenesis (Convergence Warcaster), Clockwork Angels (Convergence Unit), Deliverers (Protectorate Unit), Greygore Boomhowler and Co (Mercenary Minion Trollkin Character Unit) and issue 49 of No Quarter Magazine. Also we have unlocked on the Warmachine: Tactics KickStarter before I went to bed on Sunday were: a Character Colouring system; the four character Warjacks of Apotheosis; an extra Sturgis Collector’s Coin as an add on; the artwork “True Blue” for Epic level and above or as an add on for $350; a PDF add on of a book of short stories about the new characters called “Rites of Passage” from the game for $5; and ten exclusive cards of the new characters from the game for the Warmachine card game High Command as an add on for $10. Known stretch goal still to go are: single-player mission pack called “Fire and Ice” at $1,010,000; four more Mercenary characters (currently un-named) each at $1,021,000, $1,032,000, $1,043,000 and $1,054,000; the four Warcasters of Apotheosis plus a mystery bonus feature at $1,174,000; single player Onslaugh mode, co-op player and single player mission pack called “Dark Seduction” at $1,299,000; Magnus the Traitor’s Battlegroup and Mercenaries as a playable faction at $1,354,000; and Retribution of Scyrah as a playable faction at $1,509,000. Also they have planned to add a ton of add ons next week: Digitally downloadable images of the Warmachine: Tactics maps that can be printed out and use on the tabletop (SWEET) and Kickstarter Exclusive custom mod kits featuring wild warcaster re-designs that you have never see anywhere else. I want the maps and I might up my pledge to include the High Command cards and the short stories. I am not planning on getting the card game (yet) just want them just in case I do in the future. Oh and this Monday was the second week of the Journeyman League. I will talk more about it next week but all I will say is that AJ Lee must equal Cyriss just like Zeus equals Jupiter.

Next is the Crooked Dice news. They have revealed that the green of next month’s figures. These are Tweedy Mattison 2 (their second sculpt of Matt Smith’s the Doctor), Belle (Clara Oswald) and Ms Temple (Donna Noble). I am over the moon about a figure of Clara Oswald is being made (sadly there looks like a sculpting error due to badly placed knees), however I would have prefer Martha Jones, Mickey Smith, older version Sarah Jane Smith or any of the Touchwood team than Donna Noble. They should hopefully be out on the 1st of August. Anyway I plan on ordering these guys as soon as they are out (more due me wanting a Clara Oswald figure) with the Time Lost Investigators set (hope there might be a bundle deal) and may be the 7th Voyage Cursed Creatures set as I want the harpy.

The only OVA news from last week is that the survey is now up.

Before I move onto the AJ Lee news from last week, let us talk about Money in the Bank, well the results anyway as I have not seen this pay per view. WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns of the shield defeated The Usos sadly as I expected. Ryback defead Chris Jericho. The fantastic, awesome, divine, black widow Divas Champion AJ Lee kicked “HUlK SMASH” Kaitlyn’s butt to retain the championship.  Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel defeat The Miz. Damien Sandow won the World Heavyweight Championship Contract Money in the Bank Ladder Match by backstabbing his now former tag team partner Cody Rhodes. Randy Orton won the Money in the Bank All-Stars Match for the WWE Championship Contract, which CM Punk was about to win until Paul Heyman back stabbed him. World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio defeat Dolph Ziggler by disqualification. OK let us talk a little more about this match. During the match AJ came out with her music playing. She wanted to be by her boyfriend’s side. Dolph was distracted and told her to go back to the locker room as he wanted to do this by himself. Del Rio used the distraction to get the up hand on Dolph. AJ panicked as Dolph was now losing to Del Rio. So she clobbered Del Rio with the Divas Championship ever forgetting the ref was in sight or that it was not a No Disqualification match. She was only trying to help. Lastly WWE Champion John Cena defeat Mark Henry.

Now for what AJ Lee has been up to this past week. The new GM of Raw, Brad Maddox, gave Dolph another rematch against Del Rio. Backstage before the match AJ tried her best to apologise to Dolph for what happened last night on Money in the Bank, but just Dolph dumped her. The match between Dolph and Del Rio was a good and long match. Dolph was winning. He pinned Del Rio, but before the Ref could count to three the ring bell went. Was it time being called on the match? Nope there was no time limit. Did the Ref call the match? Nope he was confused why it went like everyone else. Was Vince McMahon trying to get one over his son in law, Triple H? Nope! It was divine interaction. The Geek Goddess herself did it. (For those who do not know, I am talking about AJ). Del Rio used the confusion to recover and then win the match. After the match was over and when Dolph was distracted by AJ, Big E attacked him. Dolph was knocked unconscious down in the middle of the ring.

AJ briefly appeared on Smackdown last week too. Her and Big E were watching from backstage Dolph’s match against his former friend and team mate back when Vickie Guerrero was his manager, Jack Swagger. Dolph won the match and the jerk said he regretted not dumping poor AJ sooner. AJ was upset by the comments and started beating up a bunch of chars in an emotional rage. Big E was a gentleman and by the look of it the only one in the WWE) and tried calming her down. After AJ beating him up, Big E manage to calm her down and give her a kiss on the forehead. (Big E is properly doing what any male AJ fan would want to do, protect her.) There will be hell to pay Dolph for upsetting the all mighty Geek Goddess and Big E will be her weapon of mass destruction. Oh and on another note, Vickie was made GM of Smackdown, replacing both Booker T and Teddy Long. Vince McMahon must really hate the WWE fans.
