Welcome
to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I
have done last week and news on stuff from Crooked Dice Games, Mantic Game,
Robotech RPG Tactics, Mekton and the Geek Goddess AJ Lee.
With
my Tonsillitis this week, they are fine now. Just still on the medication until
tomorrow.
We
have been having major problems with our washing machine for quite some time
now and I would like to talk about it. For several weeks before hand the
washing machine was making a huge racket, even our next door neighbour
commented about it. So on the 22nd of June (guessing on the date) my
mum booked a visit from British Gas for the 27th of June. So on the
27th a British Gas engineer came to check it. The bearing had gone, so they had
to replace the whole drum. As it would have to be ordered and installed by
Hotpoint, we had to book another appointment which was the 4th of July. The
washing machine was also too dangerous to use in this state so we could not use
it until the work had been done. On 3rd of July we had a phone call
from Hotpoint. According to them, British Gas never told them that the drum was
needed to be ordered, so they could not install it on the day we booked it. So
we had to re-book the appointment for 8th of July. On the day a Hotpoint
engineer came and installed a new drum. According to my dad the engineer was
quite clumsy with handling the new drum. Over the next couple of days we
noticed that the washing machine was leaking. My mum called British Gas again
on the 13th of July. They told us to stop using the washing machine
as they expect it might be a cracked drum and booked a British Gas engineer to
come on the 15th of July. They came and after a lot of looking they
found it was a cracked drum. They booked a Hotpoint engineer to come and
install a new drum on the 18th of July saying that the engineer will
differently come with a new drum. When the Hotpoint engineer came on the
Thursday and looked at the washing machine. He told my mum that the drum was
cracked, which my mum replied we know that is why you are here to install a new
one. The engineer said that they do not carry drum as standard as drums vary
from model to model and that they were not told anything about ordering in one.
My mum had to re-book for the earliest they could do was the 25th of
July. After being passed around on the phone to different people trying to make
a complaint about all this my mum finally got someone the following morning.
The person was quite rude and unhelpful. Basically to them it takes time for
these parts to arrive. Which is true but they should have order it straight
away than wait until they booked the appointment to order them. They could
write it off and give us money to a new one, however that would be only 30% off
the new one. So that is a no. Sadly the damn it is costing us money as we had
to buy some new clothes for work to keep me going and hand wash some pants so I
have enough too. Not a nice job when you have a runny tummy due to Antibiotics.
Figures cross the damn machine gets fixed on Thursday.

Now
for the Robotech RPG Tactics. Finally a store for getting the add ons is now
up. My add ons were the Special Edition Resin SDF-1, Objective Pack 1 (that has
a Valkyrie arm carrying Linn Minmel, a Giant Tuna and "Infiltrator"
Max Sterling), MKII Monster, a pack of YF-4 Valkyries and UEDF Token Pack.
Next
is the Warmachne and Hordes news. This coming Wednesday will see the releases
Aurora the Numen of Aerogenesis (Convergence Warcaster), Clockwork Angels
(Convergence Unit), Deliverers (Protectorate Unit), Greygore Boomhowler and Co
(Mercenary Minion Trollkin Character Unit) and issue 49 of No Quarter Magazine.
Also we have unlocked on the Warmachine: Tactics KickStarter before I went to
bed on Sunday were: a Character Colouring system; the four character Warjacks
of Apotheosis; an extra Sturgis Collector’s Coin as an add on; the artwork
“True Blue” for Epic level and above or as an add on for $350; a PDF add on of
a book of short stories about the new characters called “Rites of Passage” from
the game for $5; and ten exclusive cards of the new characters from the game
for the Warmachine card game High Command as an add on for $10. Known stretch
goal still to go are: single-player mission pack called “Fire and Ice” at
$1,010,000; four more Mercenary characters (currently un-named) each at
$1,021,000, $1,032,000, $1,043,000 and $1,054,000; the four Warcasters of
Apotheosis plus a mystery bonus feature at $1,174,000; single player Onslaugh
mode, co-op player and single player mission pack called “Dark Seduction” at
$1,299,000; Magnus the Traitor’s Battlegroup and Mercenaries as a playable
faction at $1,354,000; and Retribution of Scyrah as a playable faction at
$1,509,000. Also they have planned to add a ton of add ons next week: Digitally
downloadable images of the Warmachine: Tactics maps that can be printed out and
use on the tabletop (SWEET) and Kickstarter Exclusive custom mod kits featuring
wild warcaster re-designs that you have never see anywhere else. I want the
maps and I might up my pledge to include the High Command cards and the short
stories. I am not planning on getting the card game (yet) just want them just
in case I do in the future. Oh and this Monday was the second week of the
Journeyman League. I will talk more about it next week but all I will say is that
AJ Lee must equal Cyriss just like Zeus equals Jupiter.

The
only OVA news from last week is that the survey is now up.
