Gaming News from Neoscream: 29th May 2015
Welcome to the “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is
my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games, my
painting and upcoming local events.
“Gaming News”
First off we have the HeroClix news. We got previews
of: X-Head Cannon, Y-Dragon Head, XY-Dragon Canon, Z-Metal Tank XYZ-Dragon
Cannon from Yu-Gi-Oh Series Three; and Jocasta, Goliath and M.O.D.A.M. from
Marvel Age of Ultron Event.
The New Character Dash Board for Zombicide Black Plague |
Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. All week they have
been posting previews of the survivors from the new Zombicide Black Plague.
They have redone the character dash board in a very interesting way. The
KickStarter will now start on the 8th of June instead of the end of
May now.
Now
for the Mantic news. The season five of DreadBall is up for preorder.
Next is the Home Raiders news. They have unlocked since
last week’s post: A free Mortimer the Buccaneer if you spend £40 or more on the
KickStarter. The stretch goal that was still going when I posted this was: The faction “Freeloaders” with their faction
starter set as an add-on at £30k; and a Freeloaders Booster with the Archivists
and the Keeper of the flaming stick as an add-on at £33k.
Now for the Wyrd Games news. This week we got not only
preview art for the new Snowstorm, but we also got images of the 3D render of
it.
Also keep your receipt when you spend $60 or more on
Wyrd products in your local gaming store during June. If you email Wyrd a photo
of your receipt before the 6th of July, they will send you a special edition
figure called Johana, who counts as an Outcast Johan. Also, from the stores we
have receipts for, two domestic and two international stores will be chosen
each week of the promotion to receive a package of special edition models.
Limit 1 reward per person. Rewards will be mailed
after completion of promotion.
Next is the Ninja Division news. There is a bit of
news for RoboTech RPG Tactics. They plan on releasing wave two by the end of
the year and they are releasing three new convention exclusive figures for this
year. These are Miriya in a Super Veritech in Guardian mode, Breetai in Heavy
Armour and Grell in Male Power Armour. No worries fellow KickStarters that
backed it. These and last year's convention exclusives (Miriya and Max) will be
available to at to wave two on Pledge Manager in the future.
With Super
Dungeon Explore The Forgotten King, the stuff for wave two for Asia has cleared
customs and should be at the fulfilment house by now. So they should be
sending both wave one and two for Asia soon.
Now for the Last Saga news. By the sound of things the
metal models have begun production and the masters are heading back so that
they can start on the resin versions. Due to this I have push it back to July
on the KickStarter timetable.
Lastly here is a new KickStarter that was funded
within 24 hours, Zero Agents. With the rise of a powerful yet mysterious Shadow
Organisation, several countries send out their own Zero Agents to investigate.
Upon hearing that this organisation has already gathered dangerous intel, the
Zero Agents must infiltrate the enemy HQ and quickly hack into their systems
and recover the master plans. As a Zero Agent, your objective is to ensure you
have more intel than the others in order to give your Country the advantage in
the overall power struggle for leadership. Zero Agents is a tile and dice
based, one to five player game where you play as one of the Zero Agents, each
with their own unique set of skills. Hack computers that randomly appear while
fending off guards that continue to spawn in response to player dice rolls! But
do not worry, you will discover weapons you can fuse together in addition to
utilising your Agent's unique abilities. This game has a heavy anime style to
in and there are figures that come with for it, however they come separate from
the main game. Oh and all the characters and minions are female
There are two main pledge levels. The Zero Agent level
comes with just the base game, while the Full Mission level comes with the base
game, the KickStarter Exclusive expansion called “Silent Alarm” (that comes
with a new game play mode, a new agent called “Agent 008 – Aquarius”, the boss
“The Secretary”, the Kunoichi Minions, four new items and four new tiles),
miniatures for all the characters and minions and all unlocked stretches.
Since starting they have manage to unlock: Funded;
“Agent 006 – Leo”; “Agent 007 Taurus”; Elite Operative 2; the Elite Operatives
Minion Pack (currently five copies of Elite Operative 1 and five of Elite
Operative 2) as an add-on; “Agent 009 – Pisces”; “Agent 010 – Libra”; and the
"Cat Burglar " Scenario (comes with four new tiles and several trap
tokens).
With the stretch goals all they revealed that there is
one at $55k, $60k, $65k and $70k, as well as a dark picture for the $55k goal.
No other details. I have included a picture of the stretch goals to show off what I am talking about.

Neoscream's Life: 18th to 24th May 2015
The Female Asterians Team |
Welcome to the new Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of
what games I have been playing and what I have watch.
“Robotech RPG Tactics”
Last week I on Monday I went down to Wargames Workshop MK where I
played two games of Robotech RPG Tactics with Bob. We played the first tutorial
mission twice swapping side after the first. We only did the first mission as I
currently only have enough figures glued together for is. I need to put
together twice as much for the second and that is only half of a small size
standard game. Bob won both games.
Like
normal on a Thursday, I went to York House and finally we got to play the
“Rogues Revenge” scenario. The team must be of DC Super-Villains. No figure
more than 100 points unless they have the ‘Rogues’ keyword. 400 points. However
Darren S did drop the DC only part as Michael’s team was a Marvel villain team.
There was no Adrian, however we still continued the scenario. I went for a Suicide
Squad themed team who were:
Deadshot
(005 DC 75th Anniversary) 89
Amanda
Waller (012 DC Arkham Asylum) 75
Bronze
Tiger (032 DC Justice League) 60
Lashina
(019 DC Arkham Asylum) 72
The Suicide Squad from Arrow |
Nightshade
(026 DC Arkham Asylum) 50
=393
points.
On
the first round I was up against Michael who was using a Hydra themed team who
were:
Wolverine,
Agent of Hydra (103 Marvel Dead Pool) 90
Crossbones
(009 Marvel Invincible Iron Man) 79
Sin
(009 Marvel Fear Itself) 76
Red
Skull (208 Marvel Captain America) 100
2
x Hydra Agent (003 Marvel Captain America) 25 x 2 = 50
=395
points.
The Suicide Squad from the up and coming film |
Mirror
Master (033 DC Flash Fast Forces) 75
Tarpit
(028 DC Flash) 115
Heat
Wave (041 DC Flash) 97
Abra
Kadabra (054 DC Flash) 110
=397
points
Like
normal Darren S won. On the third round I had the buy, so it was Darren S
verses Michael. Darren S won this game. After that we did a fourth round. It
was me and Michael verses Darren S who added an extra 400 points of Rogues. His
new team was:
Tarpit
(028 DC Flash) 115
Heat
Wave (041 DC Flash) 97
Abra
Kadabra (054 DC Flash) 110
Reverse-Flash
(027 DC Flash) 122
Captain
Boomerang (023 DC Flash) 83
Trickster
(013 DC Flash) 87
Captain
Cold (038 DC Flash) 100
=789
points.
Sadly
Darren S cream the both of us. The problem was that both of our teams relied on
stealth while Darren’s team could ignore it.
On
this Thursday we should be playing (unless things change) the “Rise of the
Machines” scenario. 500 points, a minimum of 25% of the team must contain the
Robot keyword. Robot must be the most expensive member of your team. The
'Robot' Keyword is considered a named theme team. Robots below 74 points have a
+1 to all stats with the exception of damage. No figures over 250 points.
“WWE
Events”
R-Truth
defeated Stardust in the first of the two pre-show matches.
The
Ascension defeated "The Mega Powers" (Curtis Axel and Macho Mandow) in a Tag team match and second pre-show.
Sheamus
defeated Dolph Ziggler however Dolph did get revenge from Extreme Rule by
making Sheamus kiss his ass.
The
tag team champions The New Day defeated Tyson Kidd and Cesaro in a 2-out-of-3
falls tag team match for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
United
States Championship John Cena defeated Rusev four a third time in a row in a "I
Quit" match for the championship thanks to Lana translating.
The
team of Naomi and Tamina defeated The Bella Twins in a tag team match.
Neville
defeated King Barrett by count out.
WWE
World Heavyweight Championship Seth Rollins (with help from Kane, Jamie Noble
and Joey Mercury) defeated Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton in a
Fatal Four-Way match for the championship. If had Rollins failed to retain it,
Kane would have been fired from being Director of Operations.
Due
to the WWE Network there are now more major events than just one Pay-Per-View a
month. It might be turning into once a fortni0ght (not including NXT events).
As the next major event is this coming Sunday and it will be Elimination
Chamber. Here are the matches that are currently planned:
Sheamus
verses Ryback verses R-Truth verses King Barrett verses Rusev verses Dolph
Ziggler in a Elimination Chamber match for the vacant WWE Intercontinental
Championship.
Tag
Team Champions the New Day verses The Lucha Dragons verses the team of Tyson
Kidd and Cesaro verses The Prime Time Players verses The Ascension verses Los
Matadores in the first ever tag team Elimination Chamber match for the championship.
USA
Champion John Cena verses NXT Champion Kevin Owens.
WWE
World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins verses Dean Ambrose in a match for the Championship.
Divas
Champion Nikki Bella verses Paige verses Naomi the Triple Threat match for the championship.
Neville
verses Bo Dallas.
“Painting and Converting”
This post I have for you the male Visionary from Kingdom Death and
four Gun Mages from Warmachine.
The next post should be one more Gun Mage from Warmachine, two

Gaming News from Neoscream: 22nd May 2015
Welcome to the “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is
my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games, my
painting and upcoming local events.
“Gaming News”
First off we have the HeroClix news. We got previews
of: Revival Jam from Yu-Gi-Oh Series Three; and Hank Pym, Ant-Man and Wasp from
Marvel Age of Ultron Event.
Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. With Zombicide I
missed that there was a one mission last week. It was called "A Stupid Bet".
Now
for the Mantic news. The box for Dungeon Saga will now have a book like look to
it. This was followed by previews of some of the monsters and cards for the
game.
We
also got images of the Abyss forces for Kings of War and a ton of painted
photos for DreadBall including finally a painted image of Brute Force. SWEET.
Oh and they talked about how the DreadBall Xtreme Player Manual and Xtreme
Xpansion changes the game. Click here to read.
Next is the Home Raiders news. During the week they
did a poll to see which backers wanted to see a new fan voted faction, more
figures for the current factions or more none figure stuff. Extra figures for the
current factions just beat a new faction. They have not unlocked anything since
last week’s post. The stretch goal that was still going when I posted this was:
The faction “Freeloaders” with their
faction starter set as an add-on at £30k; and a Freeloaders Booster with the Archivists
and the Keeper of the flaming stick as an add-on at £33k.
Now for the “Anime Miniatures” KickStarter news. The
KickStarterhas ended with 87 backers and made $2,716.
Next is the Demigods Rising news. We now have a date
for the second KickStarter Evolution and prices to upgrade to Silver and Gold
level. Silver will be $80 extra ($200 for new backers) and gold will be $180
extra ($300 for new backers).
Now for the Kingdom Death news. This week we got a
bunch of new releases. These were the White Speaker Sword Hunter, the Fighter,
the Pinup Weaponsmith and the White Knight heavy version. As I post this they
currently have on the store the Pinup Weaponsmith, the male Apotheosis, the
female Apotheosis, the Flower Witch, the Savior and the Pinups of Death box
set. I have managed to pick up the White Speaker Sword Hunter.
Next
is the Mechabrick news. Moulds for the part have started being made and they are
getting some product tests coming in. The pledge manager should be up in June.
Due to this I have moved the shipping date to July, but I have a feeling that
is it will be more like August.
Now
for the Wyrd Miniatures news. As I have officially started Malifaux, I will be
trying to bring Malifaux news from now. On Monday we got a preview the upcoming
Into the Steam. It is the next expansion book for the Through the Breach RPG.
It covers the lands north of the city of Malifaux and things with a general
Arcanist bent. The Illusionist is
one of the new Pursuits in the book, allowing you the use of many new
Manifested Powers to shock and awe an audience or pull one over on your
enemies. It will be out before you know it, along with a companion Penny Dreadful
titled Northern Aggression.
Also on May the 29th we should see the
release of Whiskey Golem, Merris LaCroix, Molly Crew, Brewmaster Crew,
Mechanical Rider, Peacekeeper and Johan.
Next is the Guild Ball news. Frozen Forge are now
their Official Manufacturer of Guild Ball Tokens and Templates. You should be
able to pre-Orders them now from their website and from local game stores that
stock Guild Ball.
Now for the Privateer Press news. This week they have
reviled the August 2015 releases. These will be: the Cygnar Heavy Warjack Reliant/Stormclad;
the Cygnar Cavalry Unit Storm Lances; the Khador Epic Warcaster Unit Obavnik
Kommander Zerkova with Reaver Guard; the Trollblood Heavy Warbeast Extreme Dire
Troll Mauler; the Skorne Heavy Warbeast Aradus Sentinel/Soldier; the High Command
Two Player Starter called Rapid Engagement; an Iron Kingdoms Adventure Board
Game called The Undercity; and the Iron Kingdoms Unleashed Skorne Supplement.
Lastly Wargames Workshop is running a couple of
painting competitions. One is for this month and will end soon that is being
run at they Northampton store. The other will be next month and will be running
at the Milton Keynes store. I plan on entering it, but I dealt I will win it.
Currently there are no rules for the competition.
