Gaming News from Neoscream: 1st May 2015

Welcome to the “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games, my painting and upcoming local events.

“Gaming News”

First off we have the HeroClix news. We got previews of: Ronin, Trick Shot, Manifold, Thor, the Thor clone Ragnarok, Abyss, Ex Nihilo and Immortus from Marvel Avengers Assemble.

Now for the Ninja Division news. The Ninja All Stars KickStarter has ended. They made $531,829 with 3,282 backers. The goals unlock since last week’s post were: The Ronin Blind Swordsman as an add-on; six more Lanterns were added to both pledge levels; the Ronin Inu of Clan Kaiken was added to both pledge levels; the Ronin Yokozuna as an add-on; an extra Oni was added to each clan; the Sun Empire Wandering Samurai as an add-on; the Ronin Onibaba was added to both pledge levels; the Spirit Shrine Team and the Earth Shrine team as an add-on; the Ronin Ondori of Clan Kaiken was added to both pledge levels; the Ronin Benkei was added to both pledge levels; the Ronin Miyamoto Musashi as an add-on; the Ronin Moon Princess was added to both pledge levels; and the Ronin Goemon was added to both pledge levels.
The only Stretch Goals that was not unlocked was the Ronin Bakusho Mondai would have been added to both pledge levels at $550k.
Sadly I decided to pull out during the weekend, back to a dollar due to money and space. This is a game that if there was someone I know had it I would get myself a team and a couple of Ronin, but not another game.
Also with Super Dungeon Explore, wave one is completed shipping to the USA, Canada, UK, and South America. With the EU and Africa are currently being shipped to backers. With Asia and now New Zealand, the wave one stuff will ship with wave two. With wave two, all the containers are being packed and should leave China on the 1st of May to the warehouses.

Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. The Zombicide Season Three KickStarter stuff is still having problems shipping stuff to the USA, Canada, South America, and Africa backers due to several containers being held up due to port strikes. These containers have the second VIP Zombies set, the Murder of Crows set and the KickStarter exclusive survivor Miss Trish. Due to the fact that they do not know when they will get them, they are shipping the stuff that was meant for retail release to the Warehouse to send to backers. However this does not cover the KickStarter exclusive survivor Miss Trish. With her they are producing another run and then having it air shipped to the warehouse. This all will take about two weeks hopefully.
With Blood Rage, the pledge manager is up now.
The Mechanites team
Also Cool Mini or Not has started a new Kickstarter this week. Sadly I had not gotten around to write about it this week, but hopefully I will next week.

Now for the Mantic news. The next Mantic Open Day is May 16th. Sadly due to the taking time off just before it, I sadly will be missing it again. Well that is life.
DreadBall we got previews of the More previews today with the first showing of the Mechanites team and the Kovossian Mutant Plague team. We also got PDF playtest rules for them, the Crystallan team and for “Hacking and Reputation”.

The Kovossian Mutant Plague team
Next is the Yashima: Legend of the Kami Master news. The pledge manager is up now.

Now for the Demigods Rising news. They have been having some major problems with Titan Forge who products their resin figures. So much they have fired the company and hired Prodos Games to do them instead. Prodos Games are responsible for the new version of Warzone and in the middle of bringing the Aliens verses Predictor war game to us. With all the problems the game has been push back from July to December. Also there will be a Second KickStarter called Demigods Rising Evolution. Prodos Games have redone the heroes and demigods in sculps, some with alternate parts for different weapon or ability options. There will be an option to upgrade you game from the plastics from the original KickStarter to the new resin figures at a heavy discounted price.

Next is the OVA news. The rulebook and other printed stuff have arrived at theirs and should be shipping soon to backers.

Now for the Journey: Wrath of Daemons news. If things go to the latest plans the stuff should arrive in the US backers between June 26th and July 16th. The EU should be between 10th and 30th of June. Asia should get theirs before anyone one else.

Next is the Battle System news. They have revealed that they will be doing another KickStarter in autumn. This will be a Post Apocalypse terrain set like their past sets.

Fire Girl Misaki
Lastly the “Anime Miniatures” KickStarter is back. The first attempted failed sadly, but they have learnt from their mistakes. Instead of trying to fund a dozen figures at once, they chose one major figure, Fire Girl Misaki. Since starting they have unlocked: Misaki as the KickStarter starting goal was made; Tami as an add-on; and Kenziee as an add-on.
The stretch goals that are still going as I post this are: Ever Eldondale and a bundle deal of Eldondale and the other two add-ons as add-ons at $1,150.

·         On Saturday the 2nd of May 2015, Guardians of Tyr will be running a Star Wars X-Wing Regional Tournament at Jury’s Inn MK instead of Wargames Workshop MK. The change of location is due to the sheer size of this even. Sixty-four players, which all the places have been taken.
·         On Sunday 3rd of May at Jury’s Inn Milton Keynes, there is a Malifaux event called Cow Wars 2: The Attack of the Freisans.
·         The weekend of the 9th and 10th of May will be Campaign. Yes It Is back from a one year break and will be back in the Centre MK.
·         On Saturday the 16th of May 2015, there is the Mantic Open Day.

Wargames Workshop MK has a £2 gaming fee or £4 with a pack of Magic the Gathering cards unless it is a paid tournament run by Guardians of Tyr (not including High Command). Weekday events normally start “playing” at 7PM.

For rules for Guardians of Tyr tournaments and leagues as well as information on pre booking your place in tournament. Pre booking is highly recommended so they know how many people are coming. So please go to their website which there is a link to it under my links section which are located on the right hand side of this blog.

York House has a £3 on the day gaming fee and a £5 fee for a year’s membership. However the first day is free and they only take yearly membership fee at the start of the year. The Hall officially opens at 7PM, but normally people start arrived 15 to 20 minutes early.

“Painting and Converting”

This post I have for you one more Mantic BattleZone Terrain Urban sprue, Mantic BattleZone Terrain Fort sprue and three Goblin Archers from Arcadia Quest. Due to the amount and the lack of connection from these sprues, I have decided the group photo up.

The next post should be a Goblin Archer and six Orc Marauder all from Arcadia Quest.

Until next time, hope for a better tomorrow.
