Gaming News from Neoscream: 11th July 2014

Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer games.

“Gaming News”

First off is the Cool Mini or Not news. The Zombicide Season Three KickStarter Still going strong. It has moved up to tenth place in the top twenty non-computer KickStarter game. Let us look at what were the two main pledge level looked like after last week’s post.
Infected: Rue Morgue; the V.I.P. (Very Infected People) walkers box set one; a Purple Storage Box with all the promo survivor Dashboards from Season One and Two; eight more Skinner Walkers added to both pledge levels; four Skinner Runners; eight more Skinner Crawlers; two more Skinner Fatties; three copies of the Exclusive Slave Princess Leia and Elvis Presley V.I.P. Zombies; nine more Seeker Zombies added to both pledge levels; two more A-Bomb Abomination (one is an Exclusive female version); both the Human and Zombie versions of the survivors Lucius, Cat, Doc and Jesse; two set of six dice, one yellow and one brown; a dice bag; a set of Pimp Weapon Cards; eleven more V.I.P. spawn cards; two sets of two 3D Barrier tokens; two copies of the Police Officer, Sailor and Construction Worker V.I.P. Zombies; and the Team Building Deck.
Patient 0: Everything from Infected plus Angry Neighbours and both the Zombie and Human version of the LE Survivor Audrey.
The stretch goals that have been unlocked since they started have been: Five Storm of Crows figures were added to both pledge levels; and a set of Storms of Crows spawn cards were added to both pledge levels; the Oksana add-on now includes the Zombie version of her; both the Human and Zombie versions of Benny as an add-on; two copies of the Punk V.I.P. Zombie were added to both pledge levels; the Human version of Seth added to both pledge levels; the V.I.P. walkers box set one as an add-on; a set of fifteen Storm of Crows and a set of spawn cards as an add-on; title packs of both set as add-ons; and the Team Building deck as an add-on. Please note I am not listing old stuff being added as add-ons.
The stretch goals that are still going as I post this are: The Zombie version of Seth will be added to both pledge levels to $1.35m.
Still no sign of Zombie version of the Rue Morgue survivors, but we did get information about all twelve characters.

Next is the HeroClix news. There is a major print error on the convention exclusive Black Lantern Anti-Monitor. The printing error shows the piece to have an attack value of 2 on it number 7 click of his combat dial. The correct attack value on that click is 12.

Now for the Mekton news. The artwork is finally all done now. The digital version of the rulebook is plan to be out to backers and to the printers by the end of next month. After that it will take the printers about a month to print the physical copy. The books will ship as soon as possible (maybe even strait from the printers). Due to some problems with Sculptors the figures are nowhere near done. With the other bits like t-shirts and dice, they are waiting for some of the stuff to arrive from oversea vendors. These will ship when all the extras are done.

Next is the Kingdom Death news. The new update has just been post and man in is massive and is filled with great stuff. This (as well as Robotech and Privateer Press) were the reason why this post is later than normal. First let us get the BAD news over and done with. There is still not ETA for shipping and there will not be (maybe when things are closer to finish e.g. shipping from China to them). This is because the date kept on being pushed back over and over again. Also due to having so meanly small parts on the armour kit sprues, it is harder to control the flow of plastic and will course mold lines to happen. This is a problem they cannot control sadly. There is a Hard Plastic Production List on the update high lights were everything is. I will not be going into too much detail on this (it is on their update), but the major delays are: The Green Knight armour kit, the Sunstalker armour kit, the human version of the Dragon King, Spidicules with six Spidicules Spawns and the Silk armour kit.
Now to the good news. First of new goodies being added. A white D10 is being added to the five black for the D100 chats, two extra hit location dice and card dividers have been added to the main box set. A current final count of the cards, page of the rulebook and terrain tokens for the main set have been revealed and it is MASSIVE. The rulebook went from a 100 page book plus story book to a 223 page book. Both the Hand/antelope and the human version of the Dragon King sprues are listed to have extra. The Hand/Antelope is listed as a surprise while the Dragon King one is listed as People of the Dragon.
We got hard plastic images of both the Unarmoured and Rawhide Armour kits, the Sunstalker, the Lion Knight with his court, Snow, Anna, Aya, Adam, Paul, Candy with Cola, Allison (fully clothed female Twilight Knight) and Twilight Knight. They are all looking great. The only problem I have with the Unarmed kit (other than the mold lines that can be cleaned up) is that there is far too many chooses of great heads (especially the female ones) and not enough bodies for them. A nice touch they have done is made the Lion Knight body compatible with the heads and weapons for the armour kits. We also got more previews of pages from the rulebook, art work and cards. I cannot wait to get a hold of the rulebook just for the amazing artwork. Oh and the Pledge Manager should be back on-line soon (if it is not already back up). I have include pictures from the update however you might want to open them in a separate window as they are for too large to have at full size here.
There was also some none KickStarter news on the update. First they have some art work for their first male Pinup figure and there is an image of a very large 3D printer print of the Halloween Pinup Twilight Knight that is being planned for release on Halloween. The release will be 35mm scale like their other standard figures. I might pick up the Halloween figure if I can get to it on time.
On personal news I have ordered the Naked Experiment of Death deal. That is two sets of Experiment of Death with out boxes for less than half the price of one in box.

Now for the Privateer Press news. We got a bunch of new releases on Wednesday. These were the general public versions of Lieutenant Allison Jakes, Initiate Tristan Durant, Kovnik Andrei Malakov, Aiakos, Elara and Gastone Crosse, as well as the Cryx Unit Bile Thralls.
Kingdom Death Male Pinup
Halloween Pinup Twilight Knight
Like normal there is no word on when the second wave of July releases will be out, however these will be: the Protectorate Epic Warcaster Battle Engine Servath Reznik the Wrath of Ages, the Trollblood Character Heavy Warbeast “Dozer and Smigg”, and the Hordes High Command expansion pack “Gargantuan Might”, the Zombiez Keep Out expansion “Night of the Noxious Dead” and issue 55 of No Quarter Magazine.

Lastly there is the Ninja Division news. With Robotech RPG Tactics, production is going well and stuff will start shipping from China to their warehouse next Thursday and should start shipping to backers around Gen Con time (14th to 17th of August). Sadly the game will start selling to the public at Gen Con with over 100 copies and backers mostly likely will not be able to pick their stuff up from the event. I am not have that it is being release being release before KickStarter backers get their stuff, but sadly I am use to companies doing this to their backers. Mantic being the major cuprite. However Mantic had always aloud backers to pick up their self from conventions.
Also on some non gaming Robotech news. Harmony Gold Production have started a new KickStarter for a pilot episode of a new Robotech show called Robotech Academy. I have backed it at Corporal 3rd Class level.
