Welcome to another HeroClix post. With the HeroClix news this week, there were previews of Queen of Fables, Doomsday, All-Star Bizarro, Led Luther, Hope Taya, Mercy Graves and Libra from the Superman set; and Brute, Prophet of Regret, dual magnums Spartan, dual SMGs Master Chief, Elite Zealot and Cloaked Elite from the Halo set. Also an image of the poster for the Superman set. This does not include Chase, Brick and LE figures. Oddly there was not much they had not previewed, and there was only one Superman. Will the chases all be different versions of Superman? At least there is a new Batman, I want to see his dial.
This week was third game of In Honour Of events. This one is In Honour Of Michael. 500 points, three actions, no feats, one character must be on a chair or seating on an object, Metron is banned. Metron Is banned as he is too powerful and over used as seen in the HeroClix World Tournament. So I needed someone in a chair and things like bikes and horses count (forgot to state that last week. I decided to go for House of M Magneto. Sadly he only has two keywords, Ruler and Mutant. As the keyword mutant has been dropped (reason I do not use it). So I went for a ruler team who were:

I also had Iron Patriot and Green Goblin from Web of Spider-Man on me for Norman's Alter Ego ability. There was not Adrian this week, however Phil turned up as from was off work this week so we still had four players. On the first round I was up against Michael. He was using a none themed DC team who were:

In this game Norman had a Sanity token on him which he never get to use. This was a nightmare against my range and Outwit based team. Both Batman and Jinx were stealthing it and Kyle Rayner could not be Outwitted. Also my dial rolls were bad in this game. I ended up losing the game. On the second round I was up against Phil. He was using a none themed marvel team who were:

In this final game Norman did not have a Sanity token, meaning he is insane (I would make the 'insane' text green if the text was not green already on the blog as I post this). Sadly he did not get wounded to change into Green Goblin. OMG. The amount of high dial rolls I had in this game was insane (got to put that pun in). I ended up win as Darren gave up due to the fact that if his last two figures did not get KOed for my last attack, he would be able to win.
Next week will be the forth and may be final game of In Honour Of events. This one is In Honour Of Darren. What if the Fantastic Four were villains. 400 points. Team must have four figures, no more, no less. No feats. All characters must be villains.
For this week's DreamClix I will be doing Blade anime dial ideas for the Ninja Vampire generic, Yagyuu Tanba, Kikyo Mirage, a Vampire Scientist generic and Makoto. Dial ideas for Lion-O from Thundercats and two Sakuras from Street Fighter. But first we have the dial designs for Phoenix from the X-Men anime and Madripool Biker from the Wolverine anime.
Next we have the Ninja Vampire generic that assisted Kikyo Mirage in the Blade anime. These guys should have a special called "Strike from the Shadows", Blades and Super Senses.
Strike from the Shadows: Ninja Vampire can use Stealth and Leap Climb. If Ninja Vampire is within eight squares of a friendly character that cost twice or more than them and has the Martial Artist keyword, Ninja Vampire can use Charge and Running Shot.
They should have four clicks of health and starting values of Movement 10, Attack 9, Defense 18, Damage 2 and Range 4 with one Target. They should not have a TA and their keywords should be Existence and Martial Artist.
Next is Yagyuu Tanba from the Blade anime. Master Yagyuu Tanba was the swords master who trained Blade and Kikyo Mirage the way of the sword. After his top student Blade left, Tanba's heal drop. He sent Mirage away which pissed Mirage off as he wanted to be the number one swordsman. All that Tanba wanted was to fight Blade to see who was better, Student or Master. Not long after Mirage left, Tanba received a report that there was vampire activity near by. Tanba thought his could be a chance to meet Blade and if not, it is his duty as a former Vampire Hunter to deal with the problem too. In the past he was a former partner of Noah Van Helsing, which is the reason Blade trained under him. Sadly it was a trap set up by Deacon Frost. Deacon Frost turn him into a vampire. In episode 9 he appeared to challenge Blade. Blade won the fight as he used the finale and ultimate move in the sword style Tanba trained him in. This dial should be a split dial, a four human Tanba and a six click vampire Tanba. The human side should have a special called "Teacher of the Sword", Blades, Combat Reflexes and starting values of Movement 6, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 1 and Range 0.
Teacher of the Sword: Tanba can use Probability Control, but only on attacks using Blades or rolling for Blades damage.
Also the human side should not have a TA and he should have the keywords Martial Artist, Vampire Hunter and Past. In the vampire form he should three specials that are listed below, Blades and Combat Reflexes.
The First Blade, Savage Moon: Tanba can use Super Senses. One per turn if he makes a successful Super Senses roll, remove one action token from him.
The Second Blade, Phantom Moon: Tanba can use Flurry. If he attacks someone with the flight ability, he gains a +1 to his attack value.
The Third Blade, Chaotic Moon: Tanba ignores other characters Combat Reflexes. Give Tanba a power action, he can make a close combat attack as a free action. His damage value gains a +1 for each action token on the target.
Also the vampire side should not have a TA and he should have the keywords Martial Artist, Monster and Existence.
Next is the Blade anime version of Kikyo Mirage. In the Blade anime we learn a bit more about this character. For example when Wolverine stated that Mirage was a mutant like him, he was a mutant like Wolverine. Heal factor and swords instead of claws. Before he became an assassin for Shingen Yashida and learnt the Wind Slash from his, he was a student of Yagyuu Tanba. However now Mirage is a hard sword, working for anybody who will hire him. This dial will be a different take of Mirage using his heal factor and moon attacks. He should have Wolverine's healing trait and an extra trait, the special "Wind Slash", Blades and Tanba's first two blade moves, "Savage Moon" and "Phantom Moon".
A Mutant Like Wolverine: Once at the beginning of your turn, as a free action you may heal Mirage of 1 damage.
Hired Sword: When you reveal you team at the beginning of a game, choose a keyword, Mirage has that keyword.
Wind Slash: Mirage can use Range Combat as if he has a Range value of 6.
The First Blade, Savage Moon: Mirage can use Super Senses. One per turn if he makes a successful Super Senses roll, remove one action token from him.
The Second Blade, Phantom Moon: Mirage can use Flurry. If he attacks someone with the flight ability, he gains a +1 to his attack value.
He should have six clicks of health and starting values of Movement 10, Attack 10, Defense 18, Damage 3 and Range 0. His TA should be the Doom one and he should not have any keywords.
Next is the Vampire Scientist twins from the Blade anime. In episode 10 there was two scientists that looked a like who could turn into Vampire like Lions. This figure well to a split dial Alter Ego. In vampire from they should be like the scientist generic from Web of Spider-Man. But with an Alter Ego ability to turn them into their Lion from. Ok this means I am not doing much of this form. In lion form, they should have Charge, Blades and Toughness. They should have four clicks of health in both forms and starting values in lion form of Movement 8, Attack 9, Defense 17, Damage 3 and Range 0. They should not have a TA, in vampire form they should have the keywords of Scientist, Monster and Existence, while the lion form should have the keywords of Animal, Monster and Existence.
Next is Blade's side-kick from the Blade anime, Makoto. Makoto and her father where a vampire Hunter team who attacked Deacon Frost the same time as Blade. Deacon turned Makoto's father into a vampire and Blade had to kill him. Makoto went after Blade to kill him for killing her father. However Noah Van Helsing convicted her that this was not the way and the Blade was not to blame as the moment her father was turned, he was no longer the same person. She ended up teaming up with Blade and they traveled around Asia to find Deacon. During the time she and Blade gained feelings for each other. I will leave it they due to spoilers. She should have Charge, Flurry, Combat Reflexes and Exploit Weakness. She should have six clicks of health and starting values of Movement 10, Attack 10, Defense 18, Damage 2 and Range 4 with one terget. She should not have a TA and her keywords should be Teen and Vampire Hunter.
Next is Lion-O from Thundercats. New Lord of the Thundercats, Lion-O is a fearless leader who is ready to jump into the fight, even when it gets him in trouble. He wields the mighty Sword of Omens, the most powerful weapon on Third Earth. He should have a trait called "Thundercats Ho!", Charge, Blades, Toughness, Combat Reflexes, Indomitable, Leadership and a dpecial called "Eye of Thundera".
Thundercats Ho!: Give Lion-O and power action. All friendly characters with the Thunderian keyword with in six squares of Lion-O gains a +1 to their attack value until the beginning of you next turn.
Eye of Thundera: Lion-O can make range attacks as if he had a Range value of 6.
He should have seven clicks of health and starting values of Movement 10, Attack 10, Defense 17, Damage 2 and Range 0. His TA should be Thundercats and his keywords should be Teen, Thunderian and Animal.
Thundercats: If adjacent to another charter with the Thundercats team ability, they gain Willpower. Uncopyable.
Lastly we have Sakura from Street Fighter. Sakura is a Japanese schoolgirl who has an intense fascination with Ryu. She has managed to copy and learn some of Ryu's techniques, but wants him to train her personally. I will be doing two dials here the first one is a standard Sakura and the second will be an alternate colours version based on how I use her in Street Fighter IV. The first version should be basically starter set Ryu but both movement and defense one higher, attack one lower and the Teen keyword instead of Warrior. Now for the the Second one. My main tactic in Street Fighter is a spine trip and then jump over my opponents and repeat. Sakura is good at this due to her fast speed. So this version should have a Special called "Spine Trip", Incapacitate and Willpower.
Spine Trip: Sakura can use Incapacitate. After an Incapacitate attack deal one click of damage to the target and then you may place her in a free adjacent square to the target.
She should have six clicks of health and starting values of Movement 10, Attack 10, Defense 18, Damage 2 and Range 0. Her TA should be the Street Fighter one and her keywords should be Teen and Martial Arts.
