HeroClix, the 8th of September, Iron Man Downgrades.

Welcome to another HeroClix post and this one is a big one. With the HeroClix news this week, there were previews of Kingdom Come Magog, Composite Superman, Star Boy, Starman, the Seven Deadly Brothers, Brightest Day Maxwell Lord and Parasite from the Superman set; and Cloaked Master Chief and Cortana from the Halo set. Also there was a promotional poster for the next Marvel set called The Incredible Hulk that was released on the web. Looks like they are doing an AE Bruce Banner/Hulk, classic Hulk villains like the Leader and Abomination, as well as Hulked Out Heroes. Also from another picture online of the Fast Force set that will use the same figures with different dials shows that there will be a She-Hulk and two soldier or soldier like figures in the set as well. With the Hulked Out Heroes they have shown a Hulked out Captain America, Icehulk who is a Hulked out Ice Man, Wolverage who is a Hulked out Wolverine and A.I.Marine Hulk whe are Hulked out A.I.M. Agents. After doing a bit of research on it, I found out that Hulked Out Heroes was a two issues mini series. Other Hulked out heroes we might see are: No-Thing who is a Hulked out Thing, Spuder-Hulk who is a Hulked out Spider-Man, Thorr who is a Hulked out Thor, a Hulked out Monica Rambeau, Hulking Torch who is a Hulked out Human Torch, a Hulked out Ms. Marvel, Hulklops who is a Hulked out Cyclops, Hulk Machine who is a Hulked out War Machine (please do) and Hulkpool who is a Hulked out Deadpool (and a major character in the mini series). Also in the comic was the Thing as Black Breed the Pirate (please do to).

On personal news I have orders four new figures. They were a SHIELD generic, AE Batman to going with my Bruce Wayne, Maria Hill, and Seve Rogers. Two of which I used in this weeks game.

This week was first game of In Honour Of events. This one is In Honour Of Me. 600 points, four actions, the force much have an Iron Man (figures with his real name like Tony Stark or Anthony Stark are aloud), not feats. In each game Iron Man will be given a random upgrade for only that game. This is to show him testing out new gadgets. I decided to go for a SHIELD team. There is a lot of minor changes to the team, but the end team ended up being:

On the first round I was up against Darren. He was using an Avengers team who were:

My tech upgrade for this game was Shield Pestilence System which gives my Iron Man Poison that is Armour Piercing. Darren get AI Battle Chip that gives his Iron Man/War Machine duo Probability Control. This was a long battle. At times it seemed to be able to go both ways, however Darren's tactics cover it and I ended up losing, but a close lost. I KOed Spider-Woman, Captain America and Mocking Bird, while he OKed Iron Man and SHIELD Trooper by the end of time. On the second round I was up against Michael. He was using a non theme armour team who were:

In this game my upgrade (downgrade) was Nullifier Belt which gives my Iron Man Energy Shield Deflection but prevents him from making range attacks. Michael's upgrade was Vampire Collar which gives his Iron Man Steak Energy but if he pushes he takes two clicks of damage instead of one. This was a walk over. I took out both Iron Man and Annihilus first and then move on to Doom before picking off the Doombot. I only lost the SHIELD Trooper. In this battle Iron Man became a over cost support figure, using the Enchantment he gains from Maria Hill's Special and his S.H.I.E.L.D. TA. On the third and finally round I was up against Adrian. He was using an Illuminati team who were:

In the last I gained Radar Scope which gives him three targets and lets him ignore other characters stealth.  Adrian's upgrade was Shield Pestilence System which I had in the first game. My upgrade was not great as none of his characters has Stealth. This battle was a nightmare. Adrian turn into Richy (an old friend and play who no longer leaves in Milton Keynes) by pushing when you do not expect it. If I know he would push I would not ave moved Nick Fury and Winter Soldier up. He KOed my whole team sadly because of the pushing. the amount of double ones and threes I rolled in this game was crazy, ok I was needing high numbers most of the time, but still the double ones did not help. I did leave Doctor Strange badly wounded and OKed Reed Richards. Over all the upgrades from my team did not help, more hindered. The poison in the first game helped did damage Spider-Woman so it was useful. My opponents had better use of their upgrade most of the time. The Probability Control helped Darren re-roll missed dice rolls and Adrian's Poison did a lot of damage to my weaker figures. Like at what happened I should have use the Secret Invasion Iron Man instead for the Perplex and Outwit and use the extre points on a second Mandroid Armour.

Before I move onto next week's game I like to do a little review of the two new figures I uses from the Captain America set, Maria Hill and Steve Rogers. Maria Hill is great but you need to team her up with a TKer and boost her range, the latter is easy on a SHIELD team. Steve Rogers is go too but would have been better in an Avengers team than a SHIELD team. The Hammer of Thor one would have been better for a SHIELD team due to the amount of Stealth you would have to form a protective wall for him.

Next week will be the third game of In Honour Of events. This one is In Honour Of Michael. 500 points, three actions, no feats, one character must be on a chair or seating on an object, Metron is banned. Metron Is banned as he is too powerful and over used as seen in the HeroClix World Tournament. Him and Web of Spider-Man Nightcrawler make a lethal combo. The winning team were:

Normally I do not list special objects, however in official Tournaments they have to be listed as part of your force now as some of the new ones have a points cost. The week after next will be In Honour Of Darren. Details for that game will come next week but it will be villain teams.

For this week's DreamClix I will be doing dial ideas for Lucius Isaac and Sargent Stan from the Blade anime; "Cyclops and Wolverine" duo from the Wolverine anime; Shinichirõ Tamaki from Code Geass; and Hirokazu Ukita from Death Note. But first we have the dial designs for the "Deadpool and Nightcrawler" duo figure and Captain Britain from the X-Men anime; Kanzo Mogi from Death Note; Paraboroid from CosmicBreak; and Kaiju Giran from Dragon Ball.

Next we have Lucius Isaac from the Blade anime. Lucius is a pureblood vampire that was sent to Deacon Frost to give him a message from the nobility. A warning if his organization, Existence, continues to expand, the nobles will be forced to act. However Lucius was interested in Deacon's plans. He is a pureblood who is interested in change, but will still side with the Nobles due to the fact they are in charge. He attacked and destroyed Jararl's factories to prevent Existence from get their silver weapons to use against the purebloods. He was killed by both Bleach and Wolverine. Wolverine trapped him with his claws and Blade laid the killing blow with silver sword. Oh and Jararl helped too. He should have a trait called "Pureblood's Speed", Charge, Blades, Super Sense, Outwit and Shape Change.
Pureblood's Speed: Lucius can use Stealth and Leap Climb.
He should have about six or seven clicks of health and starting values of Movement 12, Attack 11, Defense 18, Damage 2 and Range 0. With the purebloods I thinking oh given the the Mystics TA, so he should have that TA and his keywords should be Monster and Pureblood.

Next is Sargent Stan from the Blade anime. Stan was the last remaining soldier from Project V. Project V was a super soldier project ran by the American military during the Vietnam War. A mind control device was placed in their heads and they were given vampire blood, turning they turning them into unstoppable (apart from sun light and silver weapons) vampire soldier force loyal to their controllers. Then one day their base was blown up and all the higher ups and scientists were killed. The vampire soldiers removed the mind mind control devices and head to the nearest base to return home to find that they had been abandoned. In fact they were written off as dead and could never return home. By the look of it they still had their humanity unlike other vampires. This may because their were given vampire blood than a vampire sucking their blood. Over the years the soldiers gave up one by one and walked into the sun light to kill themselves. However Stan was killed by Kikyo Mikage, yes Kikyo Mikage from the Wolverine anime. Stan should have Charge, Blades, Indomitable and Toughness. He should have six clicks of health and starting values of Movement 8, Attack 10, Defense 17, Damage 2 and Range 0 as he never used a gun in the episode. He should not have a TA and his keywords should be Monster and Soldier.

Next is "Scott and Logan" duo from the Wolverine anime. At first I was planning on doing this figure when Cyclops guess appeared in the Wolverine anime. However as Cyclops never fought in it and that there would be a Cyclops in the X-Men anime figures I decided at the end of the show to not do it. Now that I am expanding the Wolverine anime set I have change my mind again and will do it as the set needs to be bulked up as it is the smallest out of the four marvel animes. Cyclops mainly piloted the Blackbird, the first click of this duo will be the Blackbird than them. On the Blsckbird click they should have a special called "The Blackbird", Invulnerability and Stealth.
Blackbird: Scott and Logan has the Flight symbol. They can use the carry ability normally or they can carry up to four characters who have the X-Men keyword regardless of symbols.
The rest of the dial should have a special called "Unfriendly Duo", a trait called "Optic Blast", Duo symbol, Blades, Super Senses, Regeneration, Leadership and Range Combat Expert.
Unfriendly Duo: Scott and Logan can use Blades and Range Combat Expert. After using one of these they can use Force Blast as a free action.
Optic Blast: Scott and Logan can use Sharp Shooter.
They should have seven clicks of health and starting human values of Movement 8, Attack 10, Defense 18, Damage 3 and Range 8 with one target. Their TA should be the X-Men one and their keywords should be X-Men and Vehicle.

Next is Shinichirõ Tamaki from Code Geass. He was a member of Ohgi's resistance cell before they joined Zero to form the Black Knights. He became the leader if the second special squadron of the Black Knights. He is hot-headed, carefree and self-proclaimed best friend of Zero, quick to cheer others on when not doing the fighting but rash and impulsive when he is on front lines. His rashness is shown to border on recklessness, as he orders the execution of the Ashford Academy student council against Zero's wishes, though extenuating circumstances prevent his orders from being carried out. He should have a special called "Cheerful Hot-Head" and Charge.

Cheerful Hot-head: Tamaki can use Perplex if there is no opposing characters within eight squares away from him. If he uses it on a friendly character, he can modify their value by +2.

He should have four clicks of health and starting values of Movement 6, Attack 9, Defense 17, Damage 1 and Range 4 with one target. His TA should be the Black Knights one and his keyword should be Black Knights.

Lastly we have Hirokazu Ukita from Death Note. Ukita is the most emotional of the Kira Investigation Team lead by L. When the second Kite, Misa Amane, has Sakura TV broadcast a message from her ad Kira, Ukita rushes to the station to stop the broadcast, without any prompting by the rest of the team. Since Misa has the Shinigami Eyes, she kills as soon as he approachesthe door and is about to shoot. He should have a Trait called "Revealing Powers" and Charger.

Revealing Powers: If Ukita is KOed from an attack, choose an ability or trait or team ability the attacker has. That power is classed as Outwitted until the end of your next turn.

He should have four clicks of health and starting values of Movement 8, Attack 9, Defense 17, Damage 1 and Range 6 with one target. His TA should be the Police one and his keywords should be Detective, Police and Kira Investigation Team.

Well that is not yet it for this week. The next several weeks, until the Blade anime dial ideas are done, there will be eight dial ideas a week which five will be Blade ideas; and two marvel anime dial designs. This will last for two to three weeks. Also next week I will be starting three new DreamClix series, Thundercats, Capcom and Others. Capcom will cover missing Street Fighter characters and Capcom characters from Marvel VS Capcom game. Others will cover characters from shows and games the Cosplay Deviants have done, special character like Stan Lee and seasonal characters like Christmas characters. Others will not include standard Marvel or DC characters and characters might change to other show when the shows is added.
