HeroClix, the 24th of November, Universal Soldiers

(Pictures, Dials and Character Information coming soon) Welcome to another week of HeroClix. The previews for this week were Man-Beast, gravity force The Leader, Wolverine, gravity force Punisher, gravity force Hulk, gravity force Bruce Banner and gravity force Skaar from the Incredible Hulk set; and Sam and Éowyn from the Lord of the Rings set. Also there are three Thanksgiving special object from WizKids. They are Pumpkin Pie, Gravy Boat and Mashed Potatoes.

This week's game was 300 points, no fighter over 125 points, at least half the figures (not points) must be figures that you have never used before. My team for this was one of the special teams I was working on. It is a Soldier team staring:

Cammy (Street Fighter) 80
Guile (Street Fighter) 105
Anya Stroud (Gears of War) 63
Jackal with Beam Rifle (Halo) 50
=298 points and one re-roll.

A Soldier team from Other Universe. On the first round I was up against Adrian. He was using a UNSC team (Halo) who were:

Marine with Battle Rifle (Halo) 54
Spartan with Dual Needles (Halo) 82
Spartan with Plasma Rifle (Halo) 87
Master Chief with Fist of Rukt (Halo) 75
=298 points and two re-rolls.

In this game I manage to take out Master Chief but due to bad dice rolls on both sides I ended up losing. On the second round I was up against Michael. He was using Adrian's other team as he forgot his own time. It was a Hydra team who were:

4 x Hydra Agent (Captain America) 25 x 4 = 100
2 x Hydra Officer (a, Captain America) 30 x 2 = 60
Richard Fisk (Captain America) 62
Elektra (Human, Secret Invasion) 80
=302 points and two re-rolls.

I took awhile due to numbers and keeping Elektra but I manage to won the game with only losing the Jackal. On the third and final round I was up against Darren. He used a Justice Society team who were:

Starman (Superman) 99
Magog (Superman) 85
Mr. Terrific (75th) 59
Wildcat (Rookie, Origin) 54
=297 points and two re-rolls.

Darren thought that his team was not that good when he made it, but it was a nightmare. Starman is nasty with the 18 defence and his movement power that can reduce adjacent opposing characters attacks. Also Mr. Terrific's trait is a pain as well, but at the I worked out away to make his standard Outwit useless but you would have to use up your Outwit. He ended up white washing me.

Next week will be a Hail Hydra event. Bring two 300 points teams, one S.H.I.E.L.D. and one Hydra. Each team must have at least 150 points of each team must have the teams keyword and/or TA. Captain America from Hammer of Thor is BANNED from this event. Also Adrian will be using the Hydra team Michael used this week.

On this week DreamClix section of the post I will be doing ideas for Gin Ichimaru from Bleach; an Operator generic from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex; Lloyd Asplund from Code Geass; and Mumm-Ra as well as a TA from the 2011 version of Thundercats. But first here are the dial designs for Yagyuu Tanba and Kikyo Mikage from the Blade anime; Squall Lionhart from Final Fantasy VIII; and Jikun Hu and Jikun Long from CosmicBreak.

You might have notice a major change to the LND trait on Jikun Hu and Jikun Long. I have decided to transfer the anti counter or ignore from the TA to the trait as it is the trait I wanted to keep as it is a weakness. I will alter all the other CosmicBreak dial designs at a later day.

Next is Gin Ichimaru from Bleach. Gin Ichimaru was the Captain of the 3rd Division of the Gotei 13 until he betrayed Soul Society, alongside Sōsuke Aizen and Kaname Tōsen. His lieutenant was Izuru Kira. This version of Gin should he what we saw of him before he left the Soul Society. He should have two specials called "High Spiritual Force" and "Shinsõ", as well as Willpower, Preplex and a trait called "Loyal Lieutenant".
High Spiritual Force: Gin Ichimaru can use Incapacitate as if he has a range of six and three targets, but only on characters that are lose than 200 points.
Shinsõ: Gin Ichimaru can make a range attack as if he has a range of 8. Other opposing characters do not block line if sight for this attack. Characters hit by the attack are knock back three squares regardless of damage.
Loyal Lieutenant: Characters called Izuru Kira who are adjacent to Gin Ichimaru gains Willpower. If Gin Ichimaru is adjacent to a character called Sõsuke Aizen, Gin gains Toughness.
This version should have about four to six clicks of health. Not because he is weak, it just because he does stay in a fight for that long. His starting combat values should be something like Movement 7, Attack 11, Defense 18, Damage 3 and Range 0. He should have the Bleach TA and his keywords should be 3rd Division, 5th Division, Allen's Arrancar Army and Soul Reaper. The next Bleach idea should be a Hollow Ichigo for a Christmas special. More details at the end of the post.

Next is an Operator generic from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. The Operators are designed to handle various tasks within the government agency Public Security Section 9, such as operating computers, carrying equipment within the agency's building, and even crewing aircraft. Physically they are gynoids, seen wearing office lady-style suits. In one episode, additional Operators are seen coming out of the walls to replace disabled units during a particularly strenuous task, suggesting that Section 9 has many in backup and that the units are switched regularly. Their physical appearance is of a female wearing an office lady's suit. They have brown hair tied in a pony tail with brown eyes. They happen to be some of the most advanced Operators in the series besides Proto who is a prototype bioroid. Section 9 is not the only organization to use Operators. Multiple agencies use Operators that look different from the ones used at Section 9, such as the JMSDF. JMSDF Operator models have black untied hair and brown eyes, and have the assigned rank of Chief Petty Officer. The JGSDF uses an Operator model with short brown hair, brown eyes and glasses, with an assigned rank of Private First Class. The Prefectural Police Operators have long brown hair and wear a standard policewoman's uniform, with a rank of Constable. Military Operators are more advanced than civilian service models, but appear to be less mentally 'capable' than those of Section 9. An example of this was the failure of JMSDF Operators to respond quickly to changes in pilot health and eventual death during a Jigabachi hijack incident. Generally speaking, military and government models are more advanced than civilian models, however. Operator-like gynoids have been observed, examples of which include maids, prostitutes, and nurses etc. Wealthy individuals often have nurse corps (multiple identicals) configured to a personally attractive form, which in turn are often personally erotic. Some operator types may be either legally or illegally modified to contain site-protection weapon systems. Their use is questionably effective, as internal AI conflict latency will often give an even mildly determined intruder the upper hand in armed confrontations. They should have Preplex, about three clicks of health and starting Movement 9, Attack 8, Defense 16, Damage 1 and Range 0. They should not have a TA and their keywords should be Section Nine, Police, JSDF and Robot. The next Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex idea should be a Criminal.

Next is Lloyd Asplund from Code Geass. Lloyd Asplund is an earl of the Britannian nobility and the head of the scientific research team Camelot, which is responsible for the development of the elite Knightmare Frame Lancelot. To keep from being reminded of the fragility of human lives and friendship, Lloyd immerses himself in science and comes to view people as nothing more than tools. He has a tendency to mock others and is often rebuked for this behavior by Cécile Croomy, his assistant. Prior to joining the military, he attended the Imperial Colchester Institute. Lloyd's research organization, Camelot, is an irregular division of the Britannian Military that has permission from Prince Schneizel to operate outside the command structure and regulations of the regular Britannian armed forces. Rakshata refers to Lloyd as the Earl of Pudding, as pudding is his favorite food. He is engaged to Milly Ashford in the first season, having agreed to the union mostly in the hope that he might obtain the designs of the Knightmare Frame Ganymede. Milly breaks off the engagement after she graduates in order to become more true to herself. He should have a special called "Engineer", about three clicks of health and starting values of Movement 5, Attack 10, Defense 16, Damage 0 and Range 0.
Engineer: Lloyd Asplund can use Support, but only on characters with the Robot or Armour keyword.
He should have the Britannia TA and the keywords Britannia and Scientist. The next Code Geass idea should be Cécile Croomy.

Next is Mumm-Ra from the 2011 version of Thundercats. Not much is known about his past, except that long ago he ruled as a lord with his servants being none other than the Thunderians. These subjects made use of advanced technology and manned Mumm-Ra's fleet of warships where they besieged a world that contained the War Stone. He was eventually betrayed by one of his commanders, Leo, who rallied the myriad species under his command against Mumm-Ra, and used two of the stones to defeat him. Stripped of his power, Mumm-Ra entered an escape capsule and descended to Third Earth, where Leo and his troops followed. At some unknown point, legend would state that the ancestors of the Thunderians were responsible for defeating Mumm-Ra thousands of years ago. He was freed by Grune from his prison within the Black Pyramid after contacting Grune telepathically during he and Panthro's search for the Book of Omens. Mumm-Ra used Grune's ambition and bitterness to ensnare his mind, feeding his fears and doubts until Grune was driven near madness with desire for power and belief that the ancient sorcerer could bring that power within his reach. Since then, Mumm-Ra has organized all the enemies of the Thunderians into an army with one known directive: Kill the cats and bring him the Sword of Omens. He orchestrated an infiltration of Thundera and even managed to use his shapeshifting powers to impersonate Panthro (whom Grune defeated in the Black Pyramid). Using this guise as the famed Thunderian General, Mumm-Ra was able to trick Claudus into supposedly rescuing him. Once unchained, the demon struck the blow that snuffed out the great king's life. He then had Lion-O and Tygra taken prisoner. While still within the the city, Mumm-Ra then had Jaga brought in. The two exchanged introductions/insults. Trying to take the sword, claiming the stone in the weapon was his, Mumm-Ra was told by Jaga that the sword was protected from evil by a simple spell. Failing to get the Thunderian sorcerer to comply, Mumm-Ra tortured the old cat with his powers in an attempt to break him. Within minutes, Lion-O and Tygra arrived and they managed to take out several of the lizard guards and even managed to steal some weapons. Not the least of which was the Sword of Omens, which Lion-O promptly used to blast Mumm-Ra through a wall. Telling Lion-O that he had no idea of the forces he was dealing with, the decayed monster attempted to summon his more powerful form, but the rising sun immediately started to scald Mumm-Ra's body. Hurrying back inside, he was too late to stop Lion-O, Tygra and Cheetara from escaping with Jaga. The old cat was captured and subsequently brought back to the Black Pyramid for interrogation. Refusing to reveal the location of The Book of Omens, Mumm-Ra used a dark lantern to trap Jaga and forced him to reveal the direction of the book. Soon, Mumm-Ra decided to find the Book of Omens himself instead of having the lizards do so. Using the dark lantern and Jaga's knowledge, Mumm-Ra followed the ThunderCats until they reached the Tower of Omens. While Lion-O and Cheetara tried to get to the top of the tower, Panthro battled Mumm-Ra, who evolved into his Ever Living form and easily took out Panthro. He confronted Lion-O, and was about to kill him when Jaga released himself from the dark lantern through extremely white light (destroying him in the process), causing Mumm-Ra the Ever Living to flee. With Mumm-Ra, there should be three dial for his mean three forms. His crow form, his weakened corpse like form and his ever-living form. There is another form, his Armor of Plundarr form from the flashback, but I will save that as special dial than a morph or AE ability at a later date. First off is his weakened corpse like form the others will follow later. He should have a morph trait called "Morph (Mumm-Ra)", an AE special called "His True Form", Shape Change, Probability Control, Energy Shield Deflection Incapacitate and Force Blast.
Morph (Mumm-Ra): Give Mumm-Ra (Weakened Corpse Like) a move action that deals no pushing damage. After the action resolves, replace him with any character with this trait on the sane click number. Existing action tokens on this character and action tokens for the action are applied to the replacement.
His True Form: Give Mumm-Ra (Weakened Corpse Like) a power action that deals no pushing damage and replace this character with Mumm-Ra (Ever Living) on its orange starting starting line. Existing action tokens on this character and action tokens for the action are applied to the replacement.
He should have four clicks of health and starting combat values of Movement 5, Attack 9, Defense 16, Damage 2 and Range 6 with one target. His TA should be the Mumm-Ra's Horde one that I will cover in a moment and his keywords should be Mumm-Ra's Horde, Ruler and Mystical. The next Thundercats idea should be Mumm-Ra's crow form.

Lastly is the Mumm-Ra's Horde Team Ability. It should be like the Defenders one what is: Characters using the Mumm-Ra's Horde team ability can replace their defense value with the unmodified defense value of an adjacent friendly character using the Mumm-Ra's Horde team ability.

Well that is it for this week. Next week will be the start of the Christmas special and cut down for five to six weeks. A I have had problems the last two Christmas' with the blog, I am cutting down on things. I have already exampled what is happening on the DreamClix Dial Designs page updates on one of the update posts. With the HeroClix post I am probably dropping down to six ideas/designs instead of five of each. They will be at least for the first three weeks:

  • Two Blade Anime dial designs.
  • Both a dial idea and design with a Christmas themed.
  • A dial idea based on one of the four main Shounen shows I am doing (week 1 Bleach, week 2 Naruto, week 3 Dragon Ball and week 4 One Piece).
  • And a random dial idea (week 1 Ghost in the Shell, week 2 One Piece, week 3 Death Note).

Then on the fourth week (Christmas week) I will be doing at least:

  • Three Christmas themed dial designs.
  • The fourth Shounen dial idea.
  • And two random dial ideas (Bleach and Naruto).

And then on the fifth week (New Years week) I will be doing ever the final six Blade anime dial designs or three Blade dial designs and three dial ideas in the standard way at least. Also if I can do a normal ten dial ideas/designs on the following week, it will be six instead at least, but running normally.

Until next time, have fun.
