MK HeroClix, the 26th of April, Brute Frozen Battlefields

Welcome to another MK HeroClix post. First off is the HeroClix news for the week. This week there were previews of Lt. Gordon and GCPD Riot Officer from DC: The Dark Knight Rises; Superman from the new DC: Justice League set which I will be calling DC:Justice League 2 on the blog as there is already another set called Justice League and Thor Free Comic Book Day Figure.

This weeks game was Soldiers and Warriors. 500 points, you can only use characters with the Soldier or Warrior keywords. From the  figures I pulled from the Avengers Movie set I made this team:

2x Frost Giant (005 Avengers Movie) 80 + Armour Piercing (Feat) 10 = 90 x 2 = 180
Laufey (030 Avengers Movie) 180
Frost Giant Champion (031 Avengers Movie) 90
Asgardian Brawler (004 Fast Forces Hammer of Thor) 50
=500 points and four re-rolls.

Frost Giants from the Thor film
On the first round I was up against Darren. He was using a Soldier theme team he used several weeks ago who were:

Captain America (040 Captain America) 83
Crimson Dynamo (042 Captain America) 146
Darkstar (043 Captain America) 98
Domino (017 Giant Size X-Men) 69
Moon Knight (006 Avengers) 38
Winter Soldier (050 Avengers) 70
=504 points and two re-rolls.

It was a tough battle and Darren did roll three critical misses, but he ended up creaming my whole team. So I lost that game. On the second round I was up against Michael. He was using an UNSC theme team who were:

2x ODST with Magnum Pistol (003 Halo) 71 x 2 = 142
Marine with Battle Rifle (002 Halo) 54
2x Spartan with Plasma Rifle (019 Halo) 87 x 2 = 174
Master Chief and Arbiter (044 Halo) 200
=570 points and four re-rolls.

My team destroyed his whole team and if memory serves me right I only lost one Frost Giant in this game. We realised he mistakenly fielded one to many  ODSTs at the end of the game when Darren totaled up his team to see to the team total for victory point as Michael could not remember his team total. On the third and final round I was up against Adrian. He was using a Covenant themed team who were:

2x Elite with Carbine (016 Halo) 84 x 2 = 168
Grunt with Plasma Grenade (026 Halo) 42
Arbiter with Beam Rifle (036 Halo) 87
3x Elite with Plasma Rifle 69 x 3 = 207
=504 points and four re-rolls.

This was a long and close game. All that was left on the field was my Laufey and his Grunt and an Elite when time was called. Due to points I won that game making this week two wins and a lost.
Next week should be REVs. 600 points, six figures no more no less. Two figures must Rookies, two must be Experience and two must be veteran.

Now for this week's DreamClix section. This week I am doing ideas for the Guncannon from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, Aquarius from Fairy Tail, Kubota from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Sid from Soul Eater. But first I have designs of jet mode of AEU-09 Enact from Mobile Suit Gundam 00, RX-78-2 Gundam with Beam Rifle from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, the Johnny and Yosaku duo figure from One Piece and Jackie Chun from Dragon Ball.

Next is the Guncannon from the original Mobile Suit Gundam. The RX-77-2 Guncannon was the second mobile suit design model that stemmed from the Earth Federation's "Vinsion Project" or "V Project" in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam. It was developed during the One Year War in response to the Principality of Zeon's MS-05 Zaku I and MS-06 Zaku II mobile suits. The Guncannon was a step up from the RX-75-4 Guntank; while the Guntank was more "tank" than mobile armor, the Guncannon was a true mobile suit with limbs. However, it did share the Guntank's Core Block System, using the same FF-X7 Core Fighter. It is based on the data of the RXM-1 prototype bipedal robot. The first Guncannon was the prototype RX-77-1A Guncannon A, which had poor mobility due to its heavy armour. The second version, RX-77-2 Guncannon, corrected this problem. As defensive weapons, it mounted two 60 mm vulcan guns in the head. However, the Guncannon's primary weapons were the twin 240 mm cannons mounted on the shoulders, which were used for the mobile suit's design purpose: mid-range support. The Guncannon was also the first mobile suit used by the Earth Federal Forces capable of firing a beam rifle. The Guncannon was less mobile but more heavily armored than its cousin, the RX-78-2 Gundam. Unfortunately, the extra armor provided no additional protection against beam weapons, and powerful conventional weapons (such as the Giant Bazooka used by some Zeon mobile suits) were capable of causing severe damage. It also lacked any sort of melee weapon, making it helpless when an enemy mobile suit got too close. Also, its 240 mm cannons only held 20 rounds per cannon, meaning the pilot had to learn how to conserve cannon ammunition and use it wisely. Where the Guntank was designed as a long range support unit, the Guncannon is the mid range support for the Gundam. Like the GM, the Guncannon was also manufactured at Jaburo. It should have Running Shot, Invulnerability, Toughness, a special called "Take Cover" and Range Combat Expert.
Take Cover: Guncannon gain +2 to its Defence value from Hindering terrain instead of +1.
It should have about four or five clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 6, Attack 10, Defense 17, Damage 2 and Range 8 with two targets. Its team ability should be the Mobile Suit one and its keywords should be Earth Federation Forces. The next Mobile Suit Gundam UC idea should be Kai Shiden.

Next is Aquarius from Fairy Tail. Aquarius, "The Water Bearer", is a Celestial Spirit that is one of the 12 Golden Zodiac Keys. Aquarius is a very moody and ill-tempered woman who often threatens to kill her owner, Lucy. One of the most important distinctions between Aquarius and the other Celestial Spirits is that while the other spirits serve Lucy obediently, Aquarius is irritated by her. Whenever she is summoned, depending on her mood she will either attack the opponent, Lucy, or both. The risk of summoning her is great because Lucy has said several times she is her most powerful Celestial Spirit. Despite this, she does care for Lucy's safety. She is very kind and loving towards her boyfriend, Scorpio, to which she shows a completely different side of herself. She also goes as far as to threaten Lucy to keep quiet about her moodiness in front of Scorpio unless she wants to be a "drowned corpse". Whenever Lucy is within her presence Aquarius has a tendency to make remarks about having a boyfriend, as well as the fact that Lucy doesn't have one. Despite all this, Aquarius has helped Lucy out several times over the course of the series. She should have two specials called "Giant Water Attack" and "Underwater" Swimming, the Transporter Dolphin symbol and Shape Change.
Giant Water Attack: If Aquarius is with three squares of a character called Lucy Heartfilia and is in water terrain, she can use Pulse Wave.
Underwater Swimming: If Aquarius is in water terrain and there is no friendly characters within three squares of her. Opposing characters can not draw line of sight to her.
She should have about four or five clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 10, Attack 10, Defense 17, Damage 2 and Range 6 with one target. She should not have a team ability and her keywords should be Fairy Tail, Mystical and Summon. The next Fairy Tail idea should be a Captain of the Guard.

Next is what might be the last Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex idea, Kubota. Kubota is an army Intelligence Officer and former colleague of Aramaki. He often provides Aramaki with inside information. He should have a special called "Old Friend".
Old Friend: If there is a friendly character called Chief Aramaki within eight squares of Kubota, Kubota can use Perplex.
He should have about three clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 7, Attack 9, Defense 16, Damage 1 and Range 4 with one target. He should not have a team ability and his keywords should be Soldier and JSDF. That is it for now for Ghost in the Shell, I might do some more at a later date after re-watching the series.

Next is Sid from Soul Eater. Sidney "Sid" Barett is a man who died and was subsequently turned into a zombie by Dr. Stein. Sid constantly talks about how he has always been "that kind of man" (referring to when he was alive) and the things he could not do in life but now can since he has become a zombie. Sid also seems to display a father-like role for Black Star, as he constantly tries to teach Black Star how to follow the Assassin's Rules and not be so self-centered, much like a real father would for his child. He should have two specials called "Compulsive Burial" and "Living End", Stealth, Invulnerability and Toughness.
Compulsive Burial: Sid can use Charge. He ignores all outdoor terrain for movement purposes.
Living End: Sid can use Super Strength. Standard objects that he uses in a close combat attack are not destroyed.
H should have about seven clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 7, Attack 10, Defense 18, Damage 2 and Range 0. His team ability should the for DWMA one (rename of the Soul Eater one) and his keywords should be DWMA and Monster. The next Soul Eater idea should be Franken Stein.

Lastly is the DreamClix Dial Designs page update news. On Sunday there was an update to the DreamClix Dial Designs page, which was the first of two Cosplay Deviants updates. There was two new Cosplay Cards in this update. The second Cosplay Deviants update happened on Tuesday, which had nothing new.  Also there was an update on Thursday. It was the first of three Death Note updates. There was nothing new, both Light Yagami and Kira had some major changes. I have include the new dial design of Kira below to show these changes. There will be no DreamClix Dial Designs update this Sunday as this weekend I am going to be too busy to do one.

Well that is it for this week. Until next time, Mecha Up.
