Welcome to “Gaming with Neoscream”. This is my
weekly gaming post for miniature games, non-computer RPGs and some card games.
Gaming News
First off is the Mantic news. On Saturday I received
my Deadzone stuff. Sadly it was missing the Specialist booster and a Faction
Booster. Sadly there has not been a reply yet, but that is most likely because
they are busy.
Mantic still has the KickStarter bug as there is plans for 2014 for a second DreadBall KickStarter, a second DreadBall Kings of War KickStarter, a second Deadzone KickStarter and if the Deadzone hard plastics turn out good a Warpath KickStarter.
Also on Jake Thornton's websites, Quirkworthy, PDFs for the Unprinted Deadzone abilities and the Beta Deadzone Asterians Faction Deck are up

Next is the HeroClix news. This week there was
previews of: Lex Luthor and Stargirl from DC Superman and the Legion of
Super-Heroes; and The Forgiving Maiden from Yu-Gi-Oh Series One.
Also the new DC fans vote is up sadly due to the
time I post my blogs and the time they put up the polls and results. Sadly you
have missed the first round. The character that were up to vote for were:
Atomic skull; Backlash; Catman; Elasti-Girl; Etrigan the Demon; Jeanette;
Killer Moth; Monsieur Mallah and Brian; Negative Man; Silver Monkey; Vigilante;
and Weird. The top six will move on to round two that should be up later today.
The winners of round one will be revealed then and the winners of round two
will be revealed next Friday when round three starts.
The two Gripplis |
Now for the Zombicide news. On Sunday I found out
that Toxic City Mall is out and according to a person at the store I spotted it
in said it has been for a couple of days. Well I now have a boxed game size parcel
under the tree. Also the PDFs of both Zombie Dogz and Dog Companions rules are
up on their website.
Next is the Kingdom Death news. They have ran out of
the Chosen in their web store ever just before or just after I posted last
week’s post. This means there are just two figures left in their store Dung
Beetle Knight and Pinup Great Game Hunter.
Now for the Elven Adventurers Box Set KickStarter
news. Greens for two of the Gripplis, the Treasure Chest and the inserts were
revealed this week.
Next is the Journey: Wrath of Demons news. There was
an update that was showing off the sculpts that are done with cut-out concept
art of stuff still to be done.
Now for the Mechabrick news. Due to an unexpected
problem with the company the KickStarter will be delayed. This could be a month
or more, however it should be done by the end of 2014.
Next is the Interface Zero news. The final version of
the 2.0 main rulebook is pretty much done.
Treasure Chest |
Lastly is a new Kickstarter I have backed from M and
K Adventures called Anime Miniatures. It is a series of anime inspired 28mm
figures. I am currently on the “Misaki and Fire Dragon” pledge level with Kenziee
and Eldondale as add-ons. There is a ton of Stretch Goals, however until the main
goal of $7,895 (they should have just said $8k) is done I will not be listing
them. Here is a link for now, I will have to try to remember to add it yo the link list later.
Past Events
On Monday I managed to get a demo of Deadzone. I played
Enforcers and sadly lost, but it was a very enjoyable game and got the brain
juices following for Mecha Knight. I also watched a bit of Malifaux. It was
quite an interesting as it uses cards instead of dice. It is a game I might
pick up, however I do not think it will affect Mecha Knight at all.
Next week I should have Friday’s (today) Zombicide
game and whatever I play on Monday. Most likely it will be more Zombicide.
