Captain **** |
Welcome to another Heroclix post. This week wad a scenario called The Big Five. 500 point, 3 actions, must have 5 figures, no more, no less. This is one I put together however Darren did do one change, no cards, meaning nothing like Bystanders or Feats. This week I am using the Nextwave team that I have been planning on using since getting my Giant Size X-Men brick.
Tabitha Smith (Giant Size X-Men) 58
Aaron Stack (Giant Size X-Men) 106
Elsa Bloodstone (Giant Size X-Men) 73
Monica Rambeau (Giant Size X-Men) 139
The Captain (Giant Size X-Men) 124
=500 points and four re-rolls
On the first round I was up ageist Adam. He was using a Gotham City team who were:
The Riddler (Arkham Asylum) 90
Green Lantern (75th) 145
Nightwing (Crisis) 79
Batman (Arkham Asylum) 64
Batman (Justice League) 75
=453 points and four re-rolls.
This was a tight battle but he just won the game by something like 30 points. The next round I was up ageist Adrian. He was using a Skrull team that were:
Super Skrull: X-Men (Secret Invasion) 106
Super Skrull: Avengers (Secret Invasion) 126
Elektra (Skrull Secret Invasion) 80
Yellowjacket (Skull Secret Invasion) 100
Dum Dum Dugan (Skull Secret Invasion) 75
=487 points and four re-rolls
I manage to but down enough of his force to won the game. Even with two critical missess. On the third round I got the bye. On round 4, I was up ageist Michael, who was using an Avengers team. He team was:
Iron Man (Super Nova) 160
Scarlet Witch (Avengers) 35
Spider-Girl (Secret Invasion) 77 272
Black Panther (Rook Universe) 27
Sentry (Secret Invasion) 197
=496 points and four re-rolls.
His two Probability Controllers proved too much from me and I ended up using. Sadly we did not get team for a five round, but if we had the time I would have been ageist Darren's non themed team who were:
Atrocitus (75th) 202
Mera (Blackest Night) 85
Rip Hunter (Crisis) 97
Lyssa Drak (Arkham Asylum) 72
The Holiday Killer (Brave and the Bold) 43
=499 points and no re-rolls.
Adam dead up winning this week due to his over the top amount of Outwit. Next week will be 500 points, 3 actions, a minimum of 250 points must be pre Legion of Super Heroes. Due to the Local Elections we will be playing in a different place than normal.
In HeroClix news, the last of the three Horsemen convension prize figures, War, was revild. On the offical Star Trek website did a video review of the Star Trek: Expedition board game. Here is a link to the review. The figures in it are not compatable to HeroClix, however the ships might be compatable to the Star Trek ships game. Also images and information on the Gears of War 3 HeroClix set has reviled. Their will be ten figures to collect in this single figure booster set. Five members of Delta Squad and five Locust creatures.
Well now to Dreamclix. In this week's DreamClix I am doing dial designs for Ox King from Dragon Ball, Haku from Naruto, Zero from Code Geass, the Stealth Suit A.I.M. grunt and the Bodyguard grunt from the Wolverine anime. And design ideas for Ino Yamanaka from Naruto, a T-Rex generic from Dragon Ball, Paraboroid, Wootree and Rabby from CosmicBreak, U-Men Experiment, U-Men Scientist and the rogue mutant from the X-Men anime.
First off are the dial designs for Ox King, Haku, Zero, the Stealth Suit A.I.M. grunt and the Bodyguard grunt.
Next is Ino Yamanaka from Naruto. Ino was a considerably more popular and self-confident girl than Sakura when they met at the Ninja Academy. She convinced Sakura that hiding the size of her forehead was pointless, and gave her a ribbon to draw attention elsewhere, suggesting that Sakura had great potential, but had yet to reach it. She helped Sakura gain her confidence. When Sakura became attracted to Sasuke, and found out that Ino was attracted to him as well, Sakura ended their friendship hurting Ino in the process so she could compete with Ino for his affection. Ino later made friends with Sakura again during the Chūnin Exams, but they are still considered rivals by many. Ino's jutsu is mainly mind control based so she should have Mind Control. Also like most other characters from Naruto, she should have Stealth and Super Sences. She should also have a special called, "Formation Ino-Shika-Chō".
Formation Ino-Shika-Chō: If there is a friendly character name Shikamaru Nara within eight squres of Ino, she gains a +1 to her Attack value. If there is a friendly character named Chōji Akimichi within eight squres of Ino, she gains a +1 to her Defence value.
She should have about four clicks of health and starting states of Movement 8, Attack 8, Defence 16, Damage 1 and range 6 with one target. Her TA should be the Naruto one and her keywords should be Kid, Konohagakure and Team Asuma.
Next is a generic T-Rex from Dragon Ball. I the world of Dragon Ball dinosaures still roam the planet on top of beastmen, adroids and aliens. However the lata was not revild until Dragon Ball Z. I will losly base them on the T-Rex form of the new Beastboy. They should have the Giant symbol, Charge, Blades and Toughness. They should have about five clicks of health and starting states of Movement 8, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 3 and range 0. They should not have any TAs and their keywords should be Animal and Brute.
Next is Paraboroid from CosmicBreak. Paraboroid can transmit information very efficiently, and uses distributed computing to analyse data. It is an invaluable robot in any cyber war. It is a medium support type robot. It should have Toughness and Perplex, about four clicks of health and starting states of Movement 8, Attack 8, Defence 16, Damage 1 and Range 6 with one target. Its TA should be the Union one and its keywords should be Robot, Support and Union.
Next is Wootree from CosmicBreak. A monster that dwells in forested area. He attacks intruders with a homing wood launcher. They are Chaos minions designed for long range combat. They should have Toughness and Range Combat Expert, about three to four clicks of health and starting states of Movement 4, Attack 9, Defence 16, Damage 1 and Range 10 with one target. Their TA should be the Chaos one and their keywords should be Robot, Artillry and Chaos.
Next is Rabby from CosmicBreak. They are very small and hard to hit close up rabbit like robot. They should have Charge, Leap Climb and Close Combat Reflexes. They should have three clicks of health and starting states of Movement 12, Attack 9, Defence 17, Damage 3 and Range 0. Their TA should be the Chaos one and their keywords should be Robot and Chaos.
Next is the U-Men Experiment from the X-Men anime. U-Men mainly collect mutants for the body parts, however they have been known to preform experiments on some captured subjects. Then the X-Men entered to U-Men's base, they were forced to fight and kill one of these experiment. It should have Charge, Super Strenght, Shape Change and Close Combat Expert. It should have about five or six clicks of health and starting states of Movement 6, Attack 8 but will spike to 10, Defence 15, Damage 1 but will spike to 3 and Range 0. It should not have any TAs and should have the keywords Brute and U-Men.
Next is the U-Men Scientist from the X-Men anime. I am not sure if this guy is a generic assistant/scientist or not, but he seems generic to me. He can be a bit impasate wqhen it comes to harvising body parts which can lead to his down fall. He should have the Giant symbol, a special called "Analyse" and "Booster Jump", Flurry, Incapacitate, Energy Exposion and Tougness.
Analyse: He can use Probablitly Control and Outwit. If he has no action tokens he gains a second Outwit.
Booster Jump: He has Earthbound, Leap Climb and Running Shot.
He should have six to eight clicks of health and starting states of Movement 6, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 4 and Range 6 with three targets. He should not have any TAs and should have the keywords Scientist and U-Men.
Lastly is the rogue mutant that has a second mutantion and suffers from DHS. Secondary mutants are a rare, they tend to occur during moments of heightened emotional response. Once it has manifested, your secondary mutation may grow uncontrollably until it overwhelms the body and warps the mutants mind. It's a condition unique to mutants, known as David Haller Syndrome (DHS). Not every case of secondary mutation develops into DHS, but the X-Men have a vaccine for it. The rough mutant was known to Emma Frost as a former student of the Inner Circel (Hellfire Club). He should have the Flight symbol, Charge, Plasicty, Flurry, Blades, Super Sences and Shape Change. He should have about four clicks of health and starting states of Movement 10, Attack 9, Defence 18, Damage 2 and Range 0. He should have ever the Brotherhood TA or TAs and should have the keywords Hellfire Club. Sorry, the Inner Circle is the Hellfire Club so I am give them that keyword to save muching around adding another keyword.
Next time in DreamClix, I am planning on doing dial ideas for some more characters from the X-Men anime as well as Black Star/Tsubaki and Weapon Master Black Star from Soul Eater and three more Code Geass characters. With dial designs I am planning on doing two more ShounenClix, Cecilia Alcottone from IS: Infinite Stratos and two more characters from the Wolverine anime. Until next time, have fun.
