HeroClix 22nd of December, Apocalypse Rises From the Future

Welcome to another week of HeroClix. The previews for this week were of Thanos, Nova and Super-Nova from the Galactic Guardians set; U.S.S. Enterprise-A, U.S.S. Rhode Island, I.K.S. Rotarran and I.K.S. Bortas from the new Star Trek Tactics set; and Captain America from the Avengers movie set. Before people ask, yes the Star Trek ships stuff is compatible with standard HeroClix. OMG, Wolverine vs the starship Enterprise, Batman vs a Klingon bird of pray, Frodo vs the Defiant. Why does this feel so wrong? They are out of scale. However with scale out the bag, it really open things up for the  Gundam stuff for DreamClix.

This week's game was a 1,200 points, no event base Colossal figures. I decided to build a team around the Apocalypse. I was at first building it on the future keyword using an army of Kangs, but as there would not be enough figures in the team for a theme team I did a little change to add a Probably Controller. The team ended up being:

Apocalypse
Apocalypse (Giant Size X-Men) 500
Kang the Conquer (Veteran, Supernova) 199
3x Kang (Rookie, Supernova) 87 x 3 = 261
Nathaniel Richards (Supernova) 167
Domino (Giant Size X-Men) 69
=1,196 points and no re-rolls.

This week Richy was back from Cardiff for Christmas so Darren decided to make it and five way match.
Richy's team was:

Vulcan (Giant Size X-Men) 275
Beta Ray Bill (Hammer of Thor) 159
Captain Mar-Vell (Kree, Secret Invasion) 185
Annihilus (Secret Invasion) 127
Photon (Veteran, Supernova) 138 + Thunderbolts (ATA) 8 = 146
Korean (Supernova) 212
Moondragon (Clobberin Time) 71
=1,175 points and no re-rolls.

His team all had the cosmic keyword, but it was not themed due to the number of figures. Next is Michael's Team:

Female Loki
Loki (Hammer of Thor) 122
Enchantress (Hammer of Thor) 141
Iron Man (Secret Invasion) 188
Doom (Secret Invasion) 249
Spider-Girl (Secret Invasion) 77
Gamora (Secret Invasion) 73
Power Man and Iron Fist (Secret Invasion) 136
Marvel Girl (Mutations and Monsters) 40
Avengers (Avengers) 72
Red Ghost (Supernova) 59
=1,157 points and no re-rolls.

He was down in points as he forgot Mystique at home. Next is Adrian's team:

Supergirl (Superman) 200
The Question (Arkham Asylum) 37
Lyssa Drak (Arkham Asylum) 72
Metron (Arkham Asylum) 195
Liberty Belle (Crisis) 84
Kyle Ranger (Crisis) 182
Chief (Crisis) 63
Mordru (Crisis) 245
Batman (Justice League) 75
Jinx (Rookie, Legacy) 44
=1,197 points and no re-rolls.

Legion of Super Heroes
Lastly is Darren's Legion of Super Heroes Team who were:

Brainiac (Superman) 88
Supergirl (Superman) 200
Sun Boy (Superman) 79
Earth Man (Superman) 98
Invisible Kid (Superman) 53
Wildfire (Superman) 132
Starman (Superman) 99
Superboy (75th) 153
Dream Girl (Justice League) 50
Cosmic Boy (Legion of Super Heroes) 70
Lightning Lad (Legion of Super Heroes) 70
Mon-El (Rookie, Origin) 118
=1,210 points and eight re-rolls.

Due to Earth Man's special ability, Richy's whole team got screwed. They could not use abilities like Hyper Sonic Speed, Running Shot and Charge. This heavy damaged Richy's team and he ended up in last place. Most of the fighting at the beginning was between Adrian, Michael and Ricky. At first it seemed like Adrian was losing their three way, but Question truned the tide to his favour as she landed the final blow to two Richy's figures. Adrian ended up winning the game. After several turns of running away from Darren, I mean move into a good place to attack people. By time was called I was they only one to not have lost a single figure and was at second place. Darren only really joined into the fight on the last couple of rounds due to the fact every one ran away from him.

Next week will the "3 is the Magic number". 333 points, the dial must have 3 on the start of the dial or on the dial base. Things like 13 counts as it has 3 in it and names with Triple counts. The 1% extra team build for theme team without feat house rule will not be in effect this game.

Now for DreamClix. This week I will be doing ideas for a Sanji and Zoro duo figure from One Piece; Gultred: Mobile Armour Fortress from CosmicBreak; and Dante from Devil May Cry; as well as a Cosplay Card of Quinn from Cosplay Deviants. But first here are the dial designs for Deacon Frost from the Blade anime; and a Reindeer generic, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Mrs Claus from the Christmas special.

Next is a Sanji and Zoro duo figure from One Piece. Even tho they are crew mates, Sanji and Zoro are always fighting or insulting, even in a middle of a fight. This can be very dangerous thing to their opponents who try to attack them when they are fighting. They should have a trait called "Unlikely Duo", the Duo symbol, Flurry, Force Blast, Blades, Toughness, a special called "Butt Out" and Close Combat Expert.
Unlikely Duo: At the beginning of your turn roll a D6. On a result of 1 or 2, Sanji and Zoro can not be given an action or clear this turn, but gain Poison which they can use strait away and the Mystics team ability until the beginning of your next turn.
Butt Out: Sanji and Zoro can use Combat Reflexes. If there is no action tokens on Sanji and Zoro, they gain Energy Shield Deflection. If an opposing character misses Sanji and Zoro with a close combat attack when Sanji and Zoro has one or less tokens on them, the attack is dealt two clicks of damage.
They should have sevens clicks of health and starting combat values of Movement 8, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 3 and Range 0. They TA should be the Straw Hat Pirates one and their keywords Martial Artist, Warrior, Pirate and Straw Hat Crew. The next One Piece idea should be Gin.

Next is Gultred: Mobile Armour Fortress from CosmicBreak. Gultred is one of the first bosses you fight in the Gigan Busters mission and one of the largest. With most of the big bosses I will be doing them as giants to make them fit into a standard set, but with Gultred I really waited to do a colossal figure. It should have the colossal symbol, both the "Boss" and "ART" traits, Indomitable, Invulnerability, Impervious, Toughness, Psychic Blast and Force Blast. It should have fifteen clicks of health and starting combat values of Movement 7, Attack 11, Defence 19, Damage 5 and Range 10 with four targets. Its TA should be the Chaos one and its the keywords Chaos and Robot. The next CosmicBreak idea should be Swordom.

Next is Dante from Devil May Cry. Dante is a mercenary in modern America dedicated to exterminating demons and other malevolent supernatural foes, a mission he follows in pursuit of those that killed his mother and corrupted his brother. He is the son of Sparda, a demon of great power that rebelled against the demon emperor and defeated his army. As a result of his demonic heritage he possesses numerous powers beyond that of any human which he uses in combination with a variety of weapons to accomplish his goals. He should have Running Shot, Hyper Sonic Speed, Blades, Toughness, Combat Reflexes, Regeneration, Close Combat Expert and a special called "Ebony and Ivory".
Ebony and Ivory: Give Dante a range combat action. After the range combat action resolves, he may make a second range combat attack as a free action. If Dante loses this ability before he makes the second attack, he can not make the second attack.
He should have seven clicks of health and starting combat values of Movement 8, Attack 10, Defence 18, Damage 3 and Range 6 with two targets. He should not have a TA and his the keywords Devil May Cry and Mystical. The next Capcom idea should be Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers.

Lastly is a Cosplay Card of Quinn from Cosplay Deviants.

CDC-016
Cosplay Card: Quinn.
Team Ability: Cosplay Deviants.
Extra Keywords: Cosplay.
Special Abilities: This character can use Incapacitate as if he has a range of 8.
Cost: ?. This is halved if the character is called Harley Quinn, Hinata Hyuga, Rukia Kuchiki, Tohru Honda, May, Female Pokémon Trainer, Mudkip, Himeko Katagiri and Magik.

Well that is it for this week. Next week's DreamClix, I will be finishing off the dial designs for the Blade anime, as well as talking a bit about DreamClix over year and the plans for next year. Until next time, have fun.
