HeroClix, 29th of December, Good bye 2011

Welcome to another week of HeroClix. The previews for this week were of Adam Warlock, Magus and Gladiator from the Galactic Guardians set; and U.S.S. Enterprise-E and I.K.S. Maht-H'a from the new Star Trek Tactics set. Also the dials for the Adam Warlock and the Infinity Gauntlet from the Infinity Gauntlet prize support has been leaked online, as well as Doombot, Drak, Galactus and Uatu The Watcher from Galactic Guardians.

This week's game was "3 is the Magic number". 333 points, the dial must have 3 on the start of the dial or on the dial base or the card (feat and ATA, not character cards). Things like 13 counts as it has 3 in it and names with Triple counts. The 1% extra team build for theme team without feat house rule will not be in effect this game. I was original planning on using a team based around Triplicate Girl who were:

Have ever I did not see the text about a change little to the event rules. Teams that are 333 points on the dot gain two extra theme team re-rolls. So the Teen team would of have three re-rolls. Well any way in the first round I was up against Michael. He was using a Gotham City team who were:

At first this game seemed close due to the amount of beeping Outwit and Preplex in the team. But I manage to pull off a victory with only losing half my team. On the second round I was up against Richy. He was using a X-Men Team who were:

Both Beast's and Wolverine's Combat Reflexes was a major pain and has given me more respect for this version of Beast. Due to the high numbers I needed to hit I ended up losing. In this game I could have really done with an Outwit or two. On the third round I was up against Darren. He was using a X-Force Team who were:

I real liked this team of Darren's and Archangel's third click is fantastic. Sadly his team creamed my team. On the fourth round I got the bye, which was an automatic win. Sadly due to time we did not get a fifth round in. If we did have the time I would going up against Adrian's Fantastic Four team who were:

My team did not do to well this week. Darren seemed to think that the Teen team would had worked better due to the range and Outwit, but personal I think the Street Fighter team was the best out of the two due to both Michael's and Darren's teams being stealth teams.

Next week will be battle of the minis. 300 points, no figure over 70 points including feats. As Richy is heading back to Cardiff next Tuesday he will no longer be playing, but he might be back for the Easter Holidays.

Now for DreamClix. This week I will not be doing any dial ideas. Instead I am talking about the future of DreamClix on the blog.

First I would like to talk about the four new series I am adding and a series I am re-doing. The first new series I will be doing is the winner of the polls I have been doing, Square Enix, which will mostly be Finale Fantasy stuff. The of the two second place winners on the polls, Fairy Tail. The finale two are ones I have decided to do due to the fact that scale is now out of the bag due to Star Trek HeroClix. These are the Gundam UC universe and the Gundam AGE universe. I have a couple of ideas for new mechanics for the Gundam and Code Geass sets. The first being pilots/pilot cards. Each Mecha will have a Pilot list in the same way as keywords. Some might have the name "Any". Pilot Cards will be a bit like Feats, but can only be given to Mecha with the pilot name or the Any name that meet a per-requirement. The second mechanic will be the Support Card. These will be supporting characters that do not use Mobile Suits like Bright Noa, that supports the team from the background. Also due to the Lord of the Rings Horde mechanic and these new mechanics, I will be re-doing all the Code Geass stuff.

Next I would like to go over the layout of the DreamClix section in the HeroClix post from next year and about the DreamClix Dial Designs page update post. I will be keeping a four ideas and four designs layout from next week on. This is a cut down to the five of each I did in the past to gain more time to do other things. The ideas will now include cards. However things like ATAs, TAs and designs will be treated as half posts. Also I decided to fold the DreamClix Dial Designs page update posts into the HeroClix posts. The news on the updates will appear at the end of the post and the updates will happen every other day off work regardless of weeks (days where I work for less than two hours will be treated as a if is was a day off for this).

The Sunday posts (DreamClix Dial Designs page update and Watch, Listen and Read) and the Cosplay Deviants review post will both be replaced with a weekly Cosplay Deviants/CosmicBreak post were I will show preview pictures of the week's new Cosplay Deviants set, maybe a review of them, any news, CosmicBreak updates, a Cosplay card of a Deviants, a dial idea or design of a character that has been cosplayed by a Deviant and a CosmicBreak dial idea or design. This was a last moment change to changes I am planning.

Lastly, before I the last two Blade anime dial designs I like to list the stuff I have done and the current planned next three up and coming ideas. This does not include completed sets like the Marvel animes or season specials like the Christmas stuff or the Cosplay Deviants Cosplay cards.
