DreamClix Special, What If?

Welcome to another DreamClix Special. First off is the HeroClix news for the week. This week there were previews of The Thing from the Marvel: Galactic Guardians main set; The Dark Knight, Bruce Wayne and The Batman from DC: The Dark Knight Rises, and Agent Coulson from the Marvel: Avengers Movies set. On HCRealms the full set (minus one chase and colossal) of dial for Marvel: Galactic Guardians has been posted on their units section. I am really liking the LEs as they did the What If New Fantastic Four where Iron Man gained the team instead of Ghost Rider. Sweet I always wanted to do that team.

There was no HeroClix is week as Adrian could not make it this week. Next week's game should be Civil War. Bring two 500 points teams. One team must have a Captain America and the other must have an Iron Man. You cannot have the same charter in both teams.

Now for this week's extended DreamClix section. This week I am doing ideas for a pilot card for Suzaku Kururugi from Code Geass, flashback version of Lord Death from Soul Eater, Happy from Fairy Tail, Aiber from Death Note, Grune from Thundercats and Valefor from Final Fantasy. But first I have designs of the Humanoid version of the AEU-09 AEU Enact from Mobile Suit Gundam 00, the Earth Dragon Ball object from Dragon Ball, Marry from One Piece, Naomi Misora from Death Note, Evilbat from CosmicBreak and Mummies from Soul Eater.

Next is a pilot card for Suzaku Kururugi from Code Geass. As I already done his background during the old ideas, I will not be posting it again. His requirement should be Britannia and the team ability he gains should be the Britannia one. His special ability should give him Super Senses that if he succeeds, all adjacent characters are dealt one click of damage. His Mecha Ability should give him a +1 to his Attack and Defence values if he is piloting any Lancelot. The next Code Geass idea should be the support card of Clovis la Britannia.

Next is the flashback version of Lord Death from Soul Eater. Lord Death before setting up the Shibusen. 800 years prior to the start of the series, the Shinigami wore a normal skull mask, black claws, with his signature written on one, and had a deep, menacing voice. At an unknown time, Death had visited the Lost Island, an area witches had used as a construction facility for demon tools. As it turns out, Death was lured to the island by witch Arachne. After she had obtained Eibon's blueprints, she planned to blow up the facility along with everything related to Brew and presumably kill Death. Somehow, Death survived/escaped the explosion. 800 years before the main storyline, Death fought and hunted Arachne after she had killed a member of her kind and used the soul to join a human and weapon together to create the first Demon Weapon. Arachne escaped by separating herself into small spiders and spread across the lands. Sometime before the start of the series, Shinigami lead a group of 8 meister and weapon partners, known as the Eight Powerful Warriors, to hunt down witches and prevent kishin from being born. Among the group was a man by the name Asura. He was regarded as the strongest, as well as the most feared and suspicious, of the group. Overwhelmed by fear, Asura became addicted to power and followed the path of the kishin, leading him to consume his own weapon and numerous pure souls without regard. This ultimately led to Shinigami ripping all of his skin off and sealing Asura away inside a bag made of it. The process of sealing Asura forced Death to root his own Soul to the ground ultimately preventing him from leaving the general radius of the spot. Afterward, he built what is now known as Shibusen to prevent the birth of another Kishin. Under his rule, there are currently 8 active Death Scythes in the world. 7 of 8 are normally stationed in different parts of the world, as Shinigami's eyes, ears, and if need be, on call support weapon for himself or a highly trained meister. The strongest Death scythe; ironically, which is the only one that is an actual scythe other than Soul; stays as with him at Shibusen. That death scythe being Spirit, Maka's Father. He should have the flight symbol, Charge, Blades, Incapacitate, Indomitable, Toughness, Super Senses, Outwit, Exploit Weakness and Perplex. He should have about eight to ten clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 10, Attack 12, Defence 18, Damage 3 and Range 4 with one target. He should have both the Kami Power and the Mystics team abilities and his keywords should be Mystical, Shinigami and Ruler. The next Soul Eater idea should be Sid.

Next is Happy from Fairy Tail. Happy is an Exceed from Extalia, a member of the Fairy Tail Guild and of Team Natsu, and one of the main protagonists of the story. Despite his small stature and eccentric look, Happy is very loyal to his teammates and fellow guild members and has a fairly large knowledge of the magic world (on some cases, more than Lucy and Natsu). Given that he was around Natsu Dragneel since his birth, Happy often emulates Natsu in his actions and responses. He is quick-witted and cheeky, especially to Lucy Heartfilia; however, Happy sometimes shows his little bit of dark nature, especially when making a comment on the devastating aspects of the magic of his comrades. He loves fish and he doesn't like dogs (except for Plue). He offers a comic relief with his catchphrase, "Aye!". Happy believes that Lucy and Loke are a cute couple and tends to roll his tongue when he teases Lucy about it. He holds a strange attraction to Exceed like himself and drools on Loke's shoulder when he finds out that Loke is a lion. Happy has also developed a strong affection towards Carla, another Exceed who at first blows him off, but then begins to respect him. He should have the flight symbol, a trait called "Flight Magic", Perplex, Flurry and Earthbound.
Flight Magic: Happy does not reduce his Speed while carrying.
He should have about four clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 8, Attack 8, Defence 17, Damage 1 and Range 0. His team ability should be the Fairy Tail Guild one and his keywords should be Mystical, Fairy Tail Guild and Animal. The next Fairy Tail idea should be Aquarius.

Next is Aiber from Death Note. Aiber, whose real name is Thierry Morrello, is a professional con-man in the employ of L. Aiber plays the role of Eraldo Coil, one of L's detective aliases, during the investigation of the Yotsuba Group. Aiber uses his initial "A", just like L, when communicating through computers.Aiber doesn't like the idea of guns and using them, but when there after Higuchi he fires a shot at Higuchis head. Its a miss though. In the manga, after L's death, Light Yagami writes Aiber's real name in the Death Note. Aiber dies of liver cancer in a hospital in Paris, France with his family at his bedside. In the anime Aiber suddenly dies in front of his family (probably from a heart attack as only his name was shown to be written in the Death Note). He should have a trait called "Con-Man" and Shape Change.
Con-Man: When you revile your force, choose a generic keyword, Aiber gains that keyword until the end of the game.
He should have about four clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 7, Attack 9, Defence 18, Damage 2 and Range 0. He should not have a team ability and his keyword should be Kira Investigation Team. The next Death Note idea should be Wedy.

Next is Grune from Thundercats. A close friend of King Claudus, Grune was one of Thundera's greatest generals. Grune met Panthro early in their careers with the Thunderan Army, during a battle against the Lizardmen. They both began low in the ranks, but quickly distinguished themselves through their bravery and great skill. Though they had honour from all Thundera and friendship from the King himself, Grune always sought more. He let Panthro know his ambition to one day become king. One day, Claudus announced that neither Panthro nor Grune would become General of the Army, but rather Lynx-O. Claudus informed them that he had an entirely different task for them: to go out into Third Earth on a quest to find the Book of Omens. Grune and Panthro spent years on their quest, which Grune intially dismissed as a ploy by the king done to rid himself of Grune's ambition. Eventually, while crossing a desert, Grune heard a voice calling to him. He followed the voice until it lead them to a black pyramid. Inside he discovered and released Mumm-Ra, who immediately promised Grune all the power he desired in exchange for his loyalty. He also announced his desire to repossess the Eye of Thundera. Grune turned on Panthro when his friend would not join them, knocking him into an abyss beneath the pyramid. Subsequently, Grune was placed as a commander alongside the leaders of Lizards. This saw him return to Thundera with an apparent trophy for his King and claimed that Panthro perished in battle. Hiding his true loyalties, Grune attended the celebratory feast that was made by Claudus for his return where he told Lion-O that in his travels he had never seen any technology. When the Lizardmen army struck Thundera, Grune openly revealed his treachery as the trophy he had brought back was a trojan horse that carried a commando force of Lizardmen including Slithe who devastated the kingdom of Thundera from within. Grune later stood alongside the revealed Mumm-Ra when Claudus was killed and the kingdom of the Thundercats was brought to ruin. He attempted to hunt down the survivors but was stopped by Jaga who was instead captured by their forces. He should have a special called "Destroyer Mace", Quack, Invulnerability, Toughness, Combat Reflexes, Shape Change, Outwit and Close Combat Expert.
Destroyer Mace: After Grunge making a successful close combat attack, place an action token on the target on the attack.
He should have about six clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 7, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 4 and Range 0. His team ability be should the Minions of Mumm-Ra one and his keywords should be Mumm-Ra's Horde, Thunderian, Brute, Soldier and Animal. The next Thundercats idea should be Slithe.

Next Valefor from Final Fantasy. Valefor's fayth, a teenage girl, is located within the temple of Besaid. She is Yuna's first obtained aeon. Being an aerial aeon, Valefor easily dodges many attacks from the ground. Valefor's regular attack is a quick, snatching motion, enhanced by her high Accuracy. An interesting passive ability Valefor possesses is that she is considered "Out of Range", meaning grounded foes with no damaging long-range attacks or magic cannot even make a move and are simply helpless against her. This can make such daunting enemies as Demonolith a walk in the park. Valefor has the unique ability Sonic Wings, which sends a shock wave at an enemy, inflicting damage and delay. Because of the short recovery time the player can often hit enemies repeatedly with Sonic Wings with little or no retaliation. Valefor is the only aeon to have two Overdrives. The default Overdrive is Energy Ray: Valefor fires a super-charged beam that explodes underneath the foes and deals non-elemental damage. Her second Overdrive, Energy Blast, is obtained by speaking to a young girl in Besaid Village and inspecting her dog to receive "something mangled and slobbery". For Energy Blast, Valefor fires a number of destructive beams, damaging all enemies. Energy Blast deals more damage than Energy Ray, but has a longer recovery time. If Yuna has the upgraded Nirvana Celestial Weapon, Valefor will gain Break Damage Limit and her attacks will be able to inflict over 9,999 damage. Belgemine summons Valefor in the Remiem Temple as a way to train Yuna. Isaaru summons his Valefor, which he calls Pterya, as one of Yuna's trials at the Via Purifico. Yuna summons Valefor Within Sin after being possessed by Yu Yevon. Valefor should have the flight symbol, the giant symbol, Invulnerability, Toughness and two special called "Sonic Wings" and "Energy Blast".
Sonic Wings: Valefor can use Pulse Wave. If it uses Pulse Wave, all characters that takes damage from it receives one action token.
Energy Blast: Give Valefor a double power action. It can make Energy Explosion attack with three targets. Damage from this Energy Explosion deals two damage instead of one.
Valefor should have about eight clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 9, Attack 11, Defence 18, Damage 4 and Range 6 with one target. The orange line should be at the start of the sixth click. Valefor team ability should the Mystics one and its keywords should be Aeon, Mystical, Summon and Final Fantasy X. The next Final Fantasy idea should be Princess Garnet.

Lastly is the DreamClix Dial Designs page update news. On Sunday there was an update to the DreamClix Dial Designs page, which was the Capcom updates. There were one new dial design and one new pictured team ability which are both shown below. There there was also an update on Wednesday which was the Code Geass update. There were one new dial design and one new pictured team ability which are both shown below. There should be an update on Sunday which should be the first of four CosmicBreak updates.

Well that is it for this week. Until next time, Mecha Up.
