Gaming News from Neoscream: 30th May 2014

Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer games.

“Gaming News”

First off is the HeroClix news. This week we had previews of: Star Sapphire, Star Sapphire Recruit, the Star Sapphire version of Guy Gardner, Fatality, Miri Riam, the White Lantern Ring and the White Lantern Power Battery from DC War of Light.

Next is the Dust: Operation Babylon KickStarter news. Goodies unlocked since the KickStarter started were: Weapon upgrades for the Leopols, the MV-47 and the Mickey have been added; the NDAK (Axis) light walker Tropical Hermann as an add-on; a new USMC (Allied) light assault walker as an add-on; two man artillery observer teams for each of the three forces as add-ons; a ton of new pledge levels; and each army deal has gained another new hero figure.
Stretch Goals still left when I posted this post were: New units for the NDAK (Axis) and the Spetsnaz (SSU) as add-ons at $250k; weapon upgrades for three walkers at $275k; a new NDAK (Axis) walker and a new USMC (Allied) unit as add-ons at $300k; each army deal will gain a new alternate pose hero figure at $350k; a new USMC (Axis) mortar unit and a new Spetsnaz (SSU) Heavy Tank as add-ons at $375k; the chose of a KickStarter Exclusive Template or a set of KickStarter Exclusive Tokens added to your army deal at $400k; a new  USMC (Axis) Light Walker, a new SSU Steel Guard unit and a new USMC (Allied) Assault unit as add-ons at $425k; one free walker body added to every army deal at $450k; Kickstarter exclusive Operation Babylon dice added to each army deal at 1,000 backers; Kickstarter exclusive Operation Babylon decals added to each army deal at 1,250 backers; and an Abandoned Well terrain piece added to each army deal at 1,500 backers. There is also a USMC (Axis) mortar unit at a unrevealed amount.

Now for the OVA news. There is just two more pictures they need to finish. When they are done they will finish off the PDF, send it to backers and then move on to getting in painted out in book form.

Next is the Ninja Division news. With Super Dungeon Explore Forgotten King KickStarter they posted an article talking about the King and the five Princesses of Crystalia.
Just before posting there was an update for Robotech RPG Tactics. There was a rough much up of the content of the main box game and the finally version of the artwork for the box cover. According to them production will be ready to begin in the next three weeks and THEY should start receiving shipments in July. So MORE delays.

Now for the Shadows of Brimstone news. We got an update with: the final artwork for the Swamps of Death box set; CAD images of the Sand Kraken and the Undead Outlaw; and images/sneak peek of several of the cards for the game.

Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. We now know that with the Season Three starter for Zombicide there will be a major expansion set like what "Toxic City Mall", as we get an image of the box set. It will be called "Angry Neighbours". Oh and we also got a image of some new resin doors too.

Now for the Mantic news. This week we had standard updates for both the Mars Attacks and DreadBall Xtreme KickStarters. With Mars Attacks we got some more images from the rulebook, some images of the cards and some CAD images of the 3D Flaming Cows tokens. With DreadBall Xtreme we got images of the Crystallans players and some of the combination of the new Robot team. The robots are looking great, however I am not liking the current look of the Crystallans, this could just be the photos than the figures. I might go for the Rebel team as my Season Five team than the Crystallans team now.
Also on yesterday we got an extra update for the DreadBall Xtreme KickStarter saying that they have started sending out the new Pledge Managers for DreadBall Xtreme and it could take up to 24 hours to arrive. I only got the e-mail for the Pledge manager just before posting this. Also with the update Mantic reveal several things. First was a CAD image of the Cheerleader with Rush Tracker Counter (which was seen at the Mantic Open Day). Next they have now stated that the Shipment has been split into two. All that they have revealed is that the box game is in the first shipment and the second shipment with a second survey for it will be out next year. I am not really pleased with the split at this late stage or the lack of information about it, in fact I am quite pissed off with it as it was meant to be the last big Christmas present from my parents (due to work problem with my dad). This will mean that it WELL be to first KickStarter they have done that ships very late. Not what you expect from a company that has five other KickStarters under their belt that have shipped on time (compared to other KickStarters). Now if it was split during the KickStarter and said roughly what will be in each shipment like the others they have done I would have been fine with the split. Well anyway the next thing they revealed in the update was that they have given us the alternate poses and prone figures for the Kovossian Mutants and Mechanites that we missed in the Stretch Goals and the others will be still be running thru the Pledge Managers. The next goal is the Ada-Lorana MVP Phantasm who will be added to Rampage level and above at $590,000. Lastly the new Pledge Managers will be open to non-backers in the future so that people who have not back it can get stuff at KickStarter prices.

Next is the Crooked Dice Games news. We got more pictures of painted figures of the May releases and unpainted for the June releases. The May releases should be release next week, at a rough estimate the 6th of June.

Now for the Guild Ball news. An online store for pre orders is now up and they have revealed the 2014 Convention (and online during the weekend of conventions that attend) Exclusive Alternate Sculpt. This year will be Boiler.

Next is the Privateer Press news. Well there is no real news, however I have FINALLY got my Warmachine Tactics stuff. At long f***ing last.

Now for the Among the Sleep news. Only just got the key codes as I was posting this. It is also on sell on Steam at a release special price of £13.49 until the 5th of June (normally £14.99).

Lastly Knight Miniatures have revealed the next two 35mm comic book characters they are working on. They are Ben Grim aka the Things and the Damian Wayne version of Robin.

Neoscream's Life: 19th to 25th May 2014

AMX-117L Gazu-L
Welcome to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I have done during last week and news on the great Geek Goddess, AJ Lee.

“Life”

Not much happened this week really. The rash was still around but it has faded. I try to remember to talk a bit about Arrow and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. next week. That is if I remember. Oh and Doctor Who is back in August.

“WWE Payback”

As Payback is this coming Sunday, it is time to talk about the matches for it. Sadly as I write this (before Raw on 26th of May), we currently only have four matches.

First there is The Shield verses Evolution again, but this time it is a No Holds Barred Elimination Match. Regardless of how much of a Triple H fan I am, I am wanting to see the Shield win this match.
Then there is John Cena verses Bray Wyatt YET AGAIN, but this time it is a Last Man Standing Match, Cena number one match as he never gives up. I have a bad feeling if Cena somehow loses the match it will be the end of him
Next is the Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett verses Rob Van Dam. RVD “I Affair I have some BAD NEWS for your”, I am cheer for Barrett to win.
Lastly is the United States Champion Sheamus verses Cesaro. I want to see Sheamus kick Heyman’s head off.

You can beat on there being a WWE World Heavy Weight Championship Match, however due to Daniel Bryan’s neck Surgery, we have no clue that will happen.

The Flash - Extended Trailer

Gaming with Neoscream: 25th May 2014

Welcome to “Gaming with Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming report and event write up post for miniature games, RPGs, card games and computer games.

This Week's Events

On Thursday I went down to York House to play some games of HeroClix. This week we were playing the scenario "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (Please check the HeroClix Scenarios page for more information). The only change this that is will be a two week event than a one week one. However the second week will be the week after next as we are expecting some extra players next week. All the teams used this week are in the Armies section. Michael messed up at the last moment and misplaced several of his figures, so he had to add a couple of other figures which stopped his teams from being themed.
Crossbones
In the first round I was up against Darren S. I was using my S.H.I.E.L.D. team while Darren S used his Hydra team. Like normal ageist Darren S, I lost. Also Michael won his game against Adrian.
In the second round I was up against Adrian. We were both using Hydra teams. I won this game, however Adrian’s dice rolls were not that great. Also Darren S won his game against Michael.
In the third and final round I was up against Michael. I was using my S.H.I.E.L.D. team while Michael used his Hydra team. At first is looked like I was winning as I dealt Silver Samurai a nasty blow and KOed Death Mask, however Michael somehow pulled things around with Sin and he won the game. Also Darren S won his game against Adrian.
Overall Hydra is ahead with five victories compered to S.H.I.E.L.D.’s one. This will continue in two weeks’ time where we had to use the same teams, however Michael is allowed to swap to the teams he was meant to use.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 23rd May 2014

New Valkyrie prototypes
Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer games.

“Gaming News”

First off is the HeroClix news. This week we had previews of: Larfleeze, Orange Lantern Construct, Sady, the Orange Lantern version of Hal Jordan, the Star Sapphire Lantern Ring and the Star Sapphire Power Battery from DC War of Light.
Production Regults
On personal news I got my box of Marvel X-Men Days of Future yesterday. Hippy.

Next is the Ninja Division news. We got a new update this week showing off the new Valkyrie prototypes and production Regults. There are still some minor things to iron out, but almost everything from the first wave is ready for production. Sadly there is still no word on when things will ship.

Now for the Cool Mini or Not news. With Zombicied week we got images of a 3D Barrier token and card artwork of a crawling zombie. So we are getting crawlers in Season Three. How will they work has not been revealed yet.
Crawling Zombie artwork

Next is the Mantic news. Last Saturday was the Mantic Open Day. Sadly I was not there as I had a Warmachine tournament to go to that day. Looking at photos from the event they had a ton of new sculpts from DreadBall Xtreme and the up and coming Dwarf King's Horde KickStarter, as well as a painted Mars Attacks stuff. Sadly I have not seen any pictures Brute Force yetsadly.

Angel from Guild Ball
Now for the Guild Ball news. Last week I forgot to say that CAD images of Siren were revealed. Also this week we receive CAD images of Angel as well.

Next is the Privateer Press news. The second wave of May releases came out on Wednesday. These were the Convergence Light Vector Mitigator, the Circle Light Warbeast Rotterhorn Griffon, the Circle Light Warbeast Argus Moonhound, the Hordes High Command expansion pack “Immortal Tales” and issue 54 of No Quarter.
We go images this week of figures for the public versions of the Journeyman Warcasters and the Menoth Epic Cavalry Battle Engine Warcaster Servath Reznik the Wrath of Ages.
Also with Warmachine Tactics, the EU stuff are at their partner Cerberus which is located in Liverpool (I do not know when it arrived, but I I guess it was before the start of May or just after) and will finish shipping by the end of this week. It just seems that it is taken Cerberus forever to ship the stuff.

Now for the Elven Adventurers KickStarter news. Everything is now in and shipment of the bulk of the orders are being sent.

Next is the Journey: Wrath of Daemons news. We got a look at the upgrades and curses system.

Now for the Among the Sleep news. The computer game both me and my friend Roxi back on KickStarter is finally coming out next week on PC, Mac and Linux.

Next is the Battle System news. Due to deals and miss calculations the earliest it will ship is now 24th July.

Lastly is some news on a new KickStarter Dust: Operation Babylon. Dust is a game based in an alternate-history World War 2 game setting, featuring lasers, walking tanks, alien technology and much more. I am not going to be starting playing this game and I have only backed it at Tactician level ($20) for the Game Mats, however I will be blogging about it as it is a known gaming system, plus I have a feeling this will be a big one too. The KickStarter started Wednesday and in a space of a day it made over $83k.
Goodies unlocked since the KickStarter started were: The KickStarter was funded; the Axis Command Squad “Fox Cubs” was added as an add-on; the Allied Command Squad “Mustans” was added as an add-on; the SSU Command Squad “Fox Cubs” was added as an add-on; a pack of eight Archaeological Ruins terrain pieces as an added-on; each army deal has gain a new hero figure; a bunch of new starter pledge levels; a new NDAK (Axis) Light Panzer Walker called “Tropical Heinrich” as an add-on; and a new NDAK (Axis) Heavy Artillery Walker called “Konigslostar” as an add-on.
Stretch Goals still left when I posted this post were: Weapon upgrades will be added to each army deal at $150k; new light walkers for the NDAK (Axis) and the USMC (Allied) as add-ons at $175k; two man artillery observer teams for each of the three forces as add-ons at $200k; and each army deal will gain another new hero figure at $225k.
