Heroclix 9th of June, Green Lantern Burning Forever

Welcome to another Heroclix post. I have decided to change around the HeroClix post a bit. I will first start off with the HeroClix news and then this week’s game instead of the other way round. This week’s previews from Wizkids was of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Specialist, Maria Hill, Dirk Anger (both standard and zombie LE versions) and MODOK. Maria Hill was a character I have been waiting to see been done. I cannot wait to use her in a force. Also we have a new Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing (MODOK) at long last.
On other HeroClix news images and details of the new Halo HeroClix line has been reviled. There will be a 45 figure set that will be sold in standard five figure boosters. They will be spotting the new grenade mechanic as well. They will defiantly be 100% compatible to all the other HeroClix ranges. On personal HeroClix news I have two things. The first is I forgot to that I finally gotten around to trade for the Psylocke last week. I might use her next week. The second is that I have finally received the six Green Lantern Gravity Feed boosters that I had ordered as well as a bunch of D10s that I had ordered for role-play as I have somehow lost most of mine. Out of the six boosters I pulled three Boodikka, two Salaak and one Abin Sur. They were £6.99 for three boosters on 13th Floor or for two boosters on eBay. That many doubles for that price is a bit too much. The figures out of box are not that cheep ever. On 13th Floor they are £3.50 or £4.99 per figure with free postage and packaging while they are all £3.99 plus £1 postage and packaging each of eBay. A stupidly high price for a figure from a booster that cost $1.99 (about £1.30) in America. C'Est la Vie.

This week's game was 300 points, no card (Feats, ATA, Bystanders). For this week I was at first thinking to use a team around the 75th Anniversary Dick Grayson as Batman figure. However the Green Lantern booster I ordered arrived in the post on Wednesday, so I decided to make a team around them as a lauth. The team was:

Salaak (Green Lantern Gravity Feed) 100
Abin Sur (Green Lantern Gravity Feed) 70
Boodikka (Green Lantern Gravity Feed) 82
Manhunter (Comic Justice) 37
=292 points and two re-rolls.

On the first round I was up ageist Micheal. He was usiong a non-themed team who were:

Moonstone (Hammer of Thor) 76
Balder (Hammer of Thor) 130
Red Ghost (Super Nova) 59
Scarlet Witch (Rook Fantastic Forces) 35
=300 points and no re-rolls.

This was a long battle and by the end of time, I only had Boodikka who was on her sweet click and was being boosted by Abin Sur's trait, while Michael only had a beaten up Balder and a healthy Red Ghost. Due to points Michael won. On the second round I was up ageist Darren. He was using a heavy Reavers based Robot team who were:

Bonebreaker (Giant Size X-Men) 96
Skullbuster (Giant Size X-Men) 84
Pretty Boy (Giant Size X-Men) 60
M-11 (Hammer of Thor) 59
=299 points and two re-rolls.

He white washed my team. On the third round I had the bye. Durring that time I typed up the other's teams and got drinks from the near by store. On the fourth and final round I was up ageist Adam. He was using a Green Lantarn team like me but all of has was from the Fast Forces set. His team were:

Kilowog (Green Lantarn Fast Force) 100
Guardian of the Universe (Green Lantarn Fast Force) 150
Abin Sur (Green Lantarn Fast Force) 50
=300 points and two re-rolls.

It was a close fight but Guardian of the Universe managed to finish of Boodikka leading to a win to Adam. Well three loses never mind. From people who want to know Adrain used an X-Men who were:

Sprite (Sinister) 30
Emma Frost (Mutations and Monsters) 107
Bishop (Mutations and Monsters) 100
Longshot (Mutant Myhem) 66
=303 points and no re-rolls.

Before moving on to next week's game I like to talk about the Green Lantarns I pulled. Boodikka is a great figure if teamed up with a TKer as she does not have any move and attack abilities. Salaak was nice but would have been better with Indomitabile for 100. Abin Sur trait was great but the low attack for the points lets him down. Over all I would defferently use Boodikka again and I might use Salaak again. Abin Sur would be OK in big point games but in 300 points he costs too much. Next week will be, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. 400 points, three team and no ATAs (thanks to Adrian over using them). One team most be made of good guys, one team must be made of bad guys and one team must be made of ugly characters. This will effect the week afters event that will be a Battle Royal. Oh and we will be using the 3' by 2' maps again next week.

Before I go into what characters I am doing for this week's DreamClix, I want to talk about the changed I have done to it. There will no longer be a ShounenClix or a MechaClix. Instead I am spliting them up into shows. Eg. Naruto HeroClix, One Piece HeroClix and Code Geass HeroClix. No more planned starter, no more LE (just repaints now) and one special figure for ever 30 standard characters done for a show (chase, brick, big). There will now be five dial designs and five dial ideas to a post. This includes the Marvel anime stuff. On specials due to npop HeroClix this might be upped to eight each. Also new shows will slowly be added. Currenty Bubblegum Crisis has been added with plans for shows like Fairy Tail, Guyver, To Aru Majutsu no Index, To Aru Kagaku no Railgun and Power Rangers being add at a later date. Now in this week's DreamClix I am doing dial designs for Mecha Jetter from CosmicBreak, the Black Star and Tsubaki duo from Soul Eater, Yamada Maya from IS: Infinite Stratos and Mariko Yashida from the Wolverine anime and Wolverine on a Motorbike for both the Wolverine and the X-Men animes. And design ideas for Priss from Bubblegun Crisis Tokyo 2040, a Teacher in IS genaric from IS: Infinite Stratos, a Black Knight genaric from Code Geass, Rem from Death Note and Sham from One Piece.

First off are the dial designs for Mecha Jetter, Black Star and Tsubaki duo, Yamada Maya, Mariko Yashida and Wolverine on a Motorbike.

Next we have Priss, the first character from Bubblegun Crisis Tokyo 2040. Priss is the strongest member of the Knight Sabers, specializing in heavy assault. The vocalist of an underground rock band, she lives in the slums of the town in a trailer truck and is a distrustful loner who is rarely seen with her fellow Knight Sabers. She hates the AD Police because they broke her favorite CD when they destroyed a factory she lived in. AD Policeman Leon McNichol is attracted to her, but she initially mocks him. As the series progresses, her view changes and she falls in love with him. She also begins to become more friendly with her fellow team mates, though she always retains some distance with them and is very protective of her privacy. Priss's Hardsuit is specifically designed for the alley-style, hit and run fighting tactics she prefers. Her red-accented dark blue suit's main weapon is a set of "knuckle bombs". These are essentially shaped-charge explosive devices on the knuckles of her gauntlets, with which she beats against a Boomer until she can tear inside where its "core" (its heart) resides and destroy it from the inside out. Until Linna's arrival, Priss was the primary combatant of the team and it is her suit that is used in Linna's first test simulation. She can use a Trait called "Hardsuit", Charge, Flurry, Invulnerability, Toughness and a special called "Knuckle Bombs".
Hardsuit: Priss can use Leap Climb.
Knuckle Bombs: Priss can Close Combat Expert. She can use it as part of a Change action.
She should have about seven clicks of health and starting values of Movement 12, Attack 10, Deffence 18, Damage 3 and Range 0. Her TA should be Knight Sabers and her Keywords should be Armour, Celebrity and Knight Sabers.
Knight Sabers: Characters with the Robot keyword suffer a -1 to there defence value and are dealt one extra damage while being a target of an attack by a character with this TA.
With wording this TA I realised I should reword the CosmicBreak traits as showen on Mecha Jetter.

Next is a Teacher in IS genaric from IS: Infinite Stratos. I know I said I had finish with the show, however I wanted to round the set to 15 and back when I was finish off IS, I was thinkd of doinhg a teacher. I am basing them off Yamada Maya's IS. They should have the Flight symbol, Stealth, Invulnerability, Toughness, Leadership and Perplex. They should have five clicks of health and starting values of Movement 8, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 3 and Range 8 with one target. Their TA should be the IS one and their keywords should be Armour and IS Academy.

Next is a Black Knight genaric from Code Geass. Some call them heroes of justice while other called them terrorists. They are led by the mysterious masked man known as Zero. They should have a minion power called “Rocket Launcher” and Stealth.
Rocket Launcher: Minion. If two friendly characters of both a higher point value with the Black Knights Keyword are within 8 squares, this figure can use Range Combat Expert.
They should have about three clicks of health and the starting values of Movement 6, Attack 9, Defence 17, Damage 1 and Range 6 with one target. Their TA should be the Black Knights one and their keyword should be Black Knights.

Next is Rem from Death Note. Rem is the Shinigami who gives Misa Amane her Death Note. Like Ryuk, Rem possesses two Death Notes; however, Rem did not get hers through trickery. The Shinigami Gelus, who had fallen in love with Misa, sacrificed himself to kill her destined murderer. In doing so he was reduced to dust, leaving only his Death Note. After several Shinigami had mentionied that Ryuk had been gone for some time, and that they wondered what he was up to, Rem volunteered to go check on him. To do so, Rem delivered Gelus' Death Note to Misa, since it was her life he saved. It is not known when Rem herself begins to develop feelings for Misa. Rem should have a trait called “Shinigami Being”, Phasing, Psychic Blast, Toughness and a special called “Protect”.
Shinigami Being: When Rem deals damage from a range attack, she heals the same amount of click as the damage dealt. Rem ignores all terrain and characters when drawing line of sight. Characters cannot draw line of sight of Rem unless they have the Mystical keyword.
Protect: Minion. If a character with the name Misa Amane is within 8 squares, Rem can use Perplex.
Rem should have five or six clicks of health and starting values of Movement 8, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 2 and Range 10 with two targets. Rem’s should have both the Power Cosmic and Mystics TAs and the keywords Mystical and Shinigami.

Lastly it is Sham from One Piece. Sham along with his brother Buchi, are the two lookouts of the Black Cat pirates. They are also known as the Nyaban Brothers. He should have Charge, Blades, Super Senses and a Trait called “Nyaban Brothers”.
Nyaban Brothers: If there is a friendly character named Buchi within eight squares of Sham, Sham can use Outwit.
He should have about five clicks of health and starting states of Movement 12, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 2 and Range 0. His TA should be the One Piece one and his keywords should be Black Cat Pirates and Pirate.

I will not be doing a next week part to DreamClix any more as thing can change with easy. Until next time, have fun.
