MK HeroClix, the 10th of May, Avengers Forever

Welcome to another MK HeroClix post. Sorry about the late post, I have been busy today. First off is the HeroClix news for the week. This week there were previews of Chaos King, Sentry and Void from Marvel: Chaos Wars and convention prize support Punisher. On personal news I have managed to trade some stuff for ten new HeroClix figures from Incredible Hulk and Galactic Guardians.

This weeks game was REVs. 600 points, four actions, must be a Named theme team. Again I fielded an Avengers this week. This week's team was:

Iron Man (205 Avengers Movie) 150
Thor (004 Avengers Movie) 200
Yellowjacket (006 human Secret Invasion) 100
Scarlet Witch (057 Avengers) 35
Justice (030 Supernova) 94
Black Panther (106 Universe) 27
=606 points and four re-rolls.

On the first round I was up against Adrian. He was using a, guess what? A Sinestro Corps theme team who were:

Scarecrow (003 Blackest Night) 85
Lyssa Drak (046 Arkham Asylum) 72
2x Manhunter (002 Arkham Asylum) 62 x 2 = 124
Sinestro (055 Crisis) 145
Grodd (104 Arkham Asylum) 161
=587 points and four re-roll.

The Perplexes were not working for him this time as his dice rolls were bad and my dice rolls were good. Adrian gave up when he had only one Manhunter and Lyssa Drak left. He never KO'd any of my guys. So a major win for me. On the second round I was up against Darren. He was using an Universal Church of Truth theme team who were:

Universal Church of Truth
Replica (035 Galactic Guardians) 47 + Universal Church of Truth (ATA) 4 = 51
Magus (020 Galactic Guardians) 165 + Universal Church of Truth (ATA) 4 = 169
3x Cardinal of the UCT (003 Galactic Guardians) 66 + Universal Church of Truth (ATA) 4 = 70 x 3 = 210
Cardinal Raker (016 Galactic Guardians) 132 + Universal Church of Truth (ATA) 4 + Fortitude = 161
=591 points and four re-rolls.

I lost Iron Man quite early in the game but every body else pulled together to damage Darren's team. Again his dice rolls were bad, my dice rolls were good and he gave up when there was just two characters left, Replica and a Cardinal of the UCT. This made it two wins to my. WOW, I doing good this week. On the third and final round I was up against Michael. He was using an Asgardian themed team who were:

Thor (016 Hammer of Thor) 226
Balder (017 Hammer of Thor) 130
Sif (033 Hammer of Thor) 93
2x Valkyrie (012 Hammer of Thor) 38 x 2 = 76
2x Asgardian Warrior (014 Hammer of Thor) 37 x 2 = 74
=599 points and four re-rolls.

This game was a little harder than the others as the dice rolls on both sides were more average and his Thor's Indomitable was a major worry of mine. However the lack of Outwit on his team and a stupid of splitting Thor's 5 damage between Iron Man and my Thor when they have a damage reducer of two. It was a long game and time was called. I won the game by points. That makes three wins this week. I am sure I was this lucky last Birthday week.

Next week should be 500 points about 75% of your force has to be of figures you have not used in the club. My team is already planned and if I did not already used one of the figures last week, it would have been 100% never used before.

Now for this week's DreamClix section. This week I am doing ideas for an APC from Code Geass, Gonzu from Battle Angel Alita, a pilot card for Earth Federation Forces Pilot from several Gundam series, Ikkaku Madarame from Bleach and Slithe from Thundercats. But first I have designs of a pilot card for Jeremiah Gottwald from Code Geass, a pilot card for Flit Asuno from Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, the Earth Federation Forces team ability, another Sasuka Uchiha from Naruto and the Sharingan team ability.

Next is an APC from Code Geass. For those who do not know APC is short for Armoured Personal Carrier. They should have the transporter ability with the ability of carrying multiple horde tokens, Toughness and Defend. They should have about three clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 10, Attack 8, Defence 18, Damage 1 and Range 4 with one target. It should not have a team ability and its keywords should be Black Knights, Britannia, Soldier and Vehicle. The next Code Geass idea should be a support card for Lloyd Asplund and Cécile Croomy.

Next is Gonzu from Battle Angel Alita. A former cyber veterinarian who now runs a Japanese food shack, Gonzu is the closest friend that Ido has in the Scrapyard and is shown visiting Ido at his clinic. He saves Ido after the latter is almost killed by Makaku, and under Ido's direction, transfers Alita from her first cyborg body into the Berserker Body. Gonzu also helps Ido transplant Hugo's head onto a cyborg body. A regular at Bar Kansas, Gonzu is the first person killed by Zapan when he goes to Bar New Kansas in the Berserker Body in search of Alita. The side story "Seiyakyoku" reveals that six years before Ido found Alita, he saved Gonzu's life when he found him near death in the street. At this time, Gonzu's food shack was a cart that he pulled. Gonzu aids Ido, who has been rendered homeless, by hosting him and Carol and getting him in touch with the cyberphysician Gauss. He should only have Support, about three clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 6, Attack 9, Defence 16, Damage 1 and Range 4 with one target. He should not have a team ability and its keywords should be Robot. The next Battle Angel Alita idea should be a Deckman generic.

Next is a generic pilot card for Earth Federation Forces Pilot from several Gundam series. their requirements should be the Earth Federation Forces keyword and they should gain the Earth Federation Force. The next Mobile Suit Gundam Age idea should be CMS-328 Desperado while the next Gundam UC idea should be the pilot card for Kai Shiden.

Next is Ikkaku Madarame from Bleach. Ikkaku Madarame is the 3rd Seat of the 11th Division. He is a battle-loving man with a bald head. He fought and was defeated by Kenpachi Zaraki sometime in the past, though was strong enough to survive the battle. Once Zaraki became captain of the 11th Division, Ikkaku and his friend Yumichika Ayasegawa joined the Soul Reapers so that they could fight and die under Zaraki's command. He shares a number of similarities with his captain such as seeking enjoyment in battles by risking his life. He is reportedly the second strongest man in the division. Though strong enough to take a position as a captain, Ikkaku insists his one mission in life is to die under the command of Zaraki. Ikkaku's Zanpakutō is Hōzukimaru. Though ordinary in appearance, he stores a blood-clotting ointment in its hilt. When released by the command "extend", it transforms into a yari with a wax wood shaft. While he usually treats it as such, he can also turn its shaft into a three section staff to surprise the opponent by using the command "split". Ikkaku has achieved bankai, though he keeps this a secret to most characters so that he is not pressured to become a captain. Hōzukimaru's bankai, named Ryūmon Hōzukimaru, takes the form of three oversized weapons connected by a thick chain: two blades in each of his hands and a fan-shaped blade, adorned with a carving of a Chinese dragon, which floats behind him. Aside from the increase in power, his Bankai offers no special abilities, and is noted to be unusual for a bankai in this aspect. However, the blades appear to have a generally weak integrity for a bankai, as shown when combating the thirteenth Arrancar, Edorad Leones, and later when fighting his released zanpakutō while it was in bankai, using nothing but his own katana and spiritual pressure to shatter the bankai's blades. As a fight progresses, the dragon crest will slowly begin to glow crimson, greatly increasing its power as it does so. He claims that it is lazy and only fully awakens when the dragon crest is fully crimson. He should have Charge, a special called "Hōzukimaru", Toughness, Blades and Regeneration.
Hōzukimaru: Ikkaku Madarame can use Flurry, but he cannot use Blades on the second attack. If he does not use Fluffy during your turn, be can use Combat Reflexes during your opponent's turn.
He should have  about six or seven clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 8, Attack 11, Defence 17, Damage 2 and Range 0. His team ability should be the Soul Reaper one and his keywords should be Division 11, Warrior and Soul Reaper. The next Bleach idea should be a Soul Repear generic.

Next is Slithe from Thundercats. Slithe is the leader of the lizardmen. In the first episode he uses a Trojan horse type trick to get inside Thundera and is seen helping to plant explosives inside the castle. He should have Leadership, Range Combat Expert, Toughness and Mastermind. He should have  about six clicks of health and starting combat values of Speed 6, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 2 and Range 6 with one target. His team ability should be the Minions of Mumm-Ra one and his keywords should be Mumm-Ra's Hoard, Animal, Warrior and Lizardmen. The next Thundercatsidea should be a Lizardman Scout generic.

Lastly is the DreamClix Dial Designs page update news.  On Sunday there was the second of the Death Note update which included a new dial. On Wednesday there was the third and final Death Note update which includes two new dials and a major errander of "The Death Note" trait. I wrote +2 instead to -2. There should be Dragon Ball updates on ever Saturday or Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Well that is it for this week. Until next time, Mecha Up.
