Though the
whole of week last week I was suffering from a nasty sore throat which I had to
work with. In fact if it was not for work it would have had healed by now.
On Saturday
evening I went over to Richard's to play a couple of games of Dreadball with
him and Darren H. The first game was between Richard and Darren using basic
rules. Richard had only played one game and watched one in the past, but Darren
had not ever played a game or watched one before. So I decided to have Richard
be the Home player so that Darren H could see how a turn is played. Darren H
played Marauders while Richard used a Forge Fathers team. I stated that the
winner of this game will play me in a full rules game. The game was close, but
Darren H won by one or two points. So it
was me verses Darren. I was using my Cyber-Tech Primers team, while Darren H
continue to use the Marauders. He was
the Home player due to a random draw. By the start of the final rush I was six
points up. Did I try to score the seventh point for a white wash? No way. I tried to take out as much of his team I
could.
Now for this week’s DreadBall news. The PDF version of Season Two was sent out to all the
KickStarters during the week so I have been reading up on the new rules. It has
pictures of most of the Season Two stuff apart from Coach Orky and seven out of
the nine MVPs. The rules are looking great, cannot wait to try out the Robot
team when I finally get them. Lastly I managed to re-find a Season Two release
plan. Mantic planned on sending out the KickStarter stuff, then the retail
stuff and then a sale release at Salute. However the way things are going from
reading the posts from the forums things and the changes of release dates on
the Mantic store (from April to May), it looks like thing are being pushed
back. From the sound of things there will be only the Robot team, female
Corporation team and maybe the Cheerleaders (or a Cheerleader cosplayers) will be
at Salute. The stuff well at Salute will be release in the market at the
beginning of May and the rest will be out around about mid to late May. Still
no word on when the KickStarter stuff will be sent. With the first shipment
they gave notice that the warehouse would be closed for one day and delays for
the rest of the week all due to packing the KickStarter stuff and they took two
weeks to ship the stuff. Ok, I cannot see it taking that much time to pack and
ship, but by the way it is going, I cannot us KickStarters getting it before
Salute, maybe not even this month due to postage. On what maybe good news,
Mantic has hired someone to run Facebook and Twitter for them now so maybe
things will be made clear on what is going on.
Next is the
Crooked Dice Games news. First off is that the five new Future Freedom Fighters
have been released. Then the Heroes Programme Guide book and cards was put out
for pre-orders, however the PDF version are been given out straight away. There
is nothing new in the Heroes Programme Guide compared to three individual
guides. I have pre-order the hard copy of the book to pick up at Salute with
the Minion Starter deal. Lastly they have announced that they will be selling
Grandville Miniatures. The first two figures will be at Salute and pre-orders
should be up sometime this week. Foul if needed. I managed to take out the
Orxs. It was a good night with a good curry cooked by Richard. Oh and Darren
gave me a spear mother board for messing about with for my A+ studies.
Now for what
AJ Lee has been up to this past week. The first time was when she was
supporting Dolph Ziggler with Big E Langston in Dolph's match against Daniel
Bryan. Kane was out supporting Daniel. Dolph won and then Big E took out both
members of the tag team champions. AJ then handed both Dolph and Big E the tag
team championships. Could this be a sign of what will happen on Wrestlemania
29.
Sadly AJ did
not participate in the WWE ’13 Axxess Superstar Challenge this year. This may
be due to AJ having a busy time table this Wrestlemania. However Big E did
enter it. He got second place, which is good, but he lost to Hornswoggle of all
people. However by the sound of things the match (computer game one for thus
who do not know) was an epic one.
Wrestlemania
29 was on Sunday, but as I will not be seeing it until sometime this week I
will not be talking about it. However I have learnt that the AJ verses Kaitlyn
match never happened. Bad move from the WWE.
