MRX-009 Psyco Gundam |
Welcome to
the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I have
done last week and news on stuff from Crooked Dice Games, DreadBall and the
Geek Goddess AJ Lee.
On Tuesday I
got a phone call from Roxi. Roxi will be back for a week from this
Tuesday. It will be good seeing Roxi
again. There are plans for a get together for Roxi's birthday on Saturday and
Roxi should be at HeroClix this week as well.
A little
update on the Ministry Building. The new
knife I got works like a dream. However
the knife in a bit too big for work on my models so I might need to look for a
different knife for them at Salute. Also Amera Plastic Mouldings notice last
week's post and very kindly refunded the postage and packing. Which I spent on
them at Salute on a pre-order.
As I have
been posting about it all weekend, I will not be talking about Salute 2013 outside the gaming news sections. I Have been saving all this news for today. However I will say, as you may have noticed from the pictures from yesterdays "Model Painting" post and Sunday's Salute wrap up post that I never saw any HeroClix at Salute.
Now for the
DreadBall news. I will be splitting it into two parts. Pre and post Salute
2013. First off is the per Salute. A list of what we should be getting in the
second shipment has been posted. Here is
what they said:
The DreadBall Stadium from Amera Plastic Mouldings |
"The four Season 2 teams: The Void
Sirens (Female Team), the Pelgar Mystics (Judwan Team), the Chromium Chargers
(Robot Team) and the Locust City Chiefs (Z’zor Team). (This applies to teams
added to your pledge as well as the free models included as part of your reward
level. Note that Striker backers who have bought the Season 1 and/or 2 Upgrade
Packs will have 10 players for each team – the remaining 6 and the prone
figures are alternate sculpts and will come later.)
A whole host of new MVPs: Buzzcut, Mee-kel
Judwan, Anne-Marie Helder, Rico van Dien, DBR-7 Firewall, Ludwig and Gabe.
The Cheerleaders and Coaches.
DreadBall cases - we're hoping to get the
customisable inlays completed by the time they ship, but if not you'll receive
a download link as soon as they are.
Any of the following additional items that
were ordered as part of your pledge: Co-Prosperity Park, Quadrant Zero Stadium,
Acrylic Pitch Upgrades, Season 1 rulebooks, team dice, hex bases, DreadBall
cards, Referees, decal sheets and t-shirts."
The
Asterians, their MVP Mellisandra, the two Limited Edition MVPs and Painmaster
are all not listed. Mantic have stated
in the comments that the two Limited Edition MVPs (Wyn and Nightshade) were
always apart of the Season Two extras hence why they will not be shipping in
the second shipment. Also there is no word on Orcy. Is he shipping too or not
or has he been scrapped. I will try to get these questions answered at Salute.
On Friday it was revealed that Amera Plastic Mouldings will be taking
pre-orders a Salute for a new item they have revealed. A DreadBall Stadium to
put your DreadBall patch in. Sweet. Got
to get me one of them at Salute.
The Teratons. This is not a photo I took. |
Now for the
post Salute DreadBall news. Talking to the Mantic guy s at Salute has majorly
settled any worries I had with the KickStarter. Painmaster is suffering the
same problems as Buzzcut did with the first shipment so he will be delayed
until the next shipment. The Asterians and their MVP should have been pushed
back to the third shipment when they did the extra bits for Season One and Two,
but never were publicly. Also Mantic have a lot more figures sculpted than they
have been revealing like the Teratons (A season three team) who were at Salute.
It is just that they have not have time to produce mass production moulds yet.
The Teratons look awesome and I am glad I sm getting a team of them. Oh and
Orky will be s Mantic points and maybe convention only figure. Sadly I forgot
to ask if he is coming out with the second shipment or the third as we have not
seen him yet and he was not in the DreadBall Stadium. Maybe Golem Painting
Studio are still painting him? Oh and Mantic are waiting for Penny Arcade to
approve the rules for the MVP Gabe, which is the reason why we do not have rules for him at the moment.
The Deadzone Plague Lord. Again, this is not one of my photos. |
Before I
move onto the Crooked Dice Games news I would like to talk about a new game
from Mantic that is being designed by Jake Thornton called Deadzone. This is a
squad based skirmish game like Infinity and Necromunda based on Warpath. Three
out of the four starting groups in Deadzone are the Plague (zombie mutants),
the Enforcers and the Rebels. How campaigns will most likely work is that the
squad will gain extra resources to use than gaining experience. There will be a
KickStarter starting on Friday. Crap, another KickStarter that will eat my
money.
Now for the
Crooked Dice Games news. Not much to report about this week. The Villain guides
are still being worked on and the physical book will most likely come out
sometime at the end of the year or the beginning of next year. They normally
plans for the year after Salute ends. So there may be some big news with in the
next couple of weeks. At Salute I managed to get the time to get a demo of 7th
Voyage. Both my and my opponent's dice rolls sucked, but my opponent won the
game still. The rule improvements they have done for 7th Voyage were great.
Now let us
talk about a new KickStart that started last week, RoboTech RPG Tactics. It is
a miniatures game using mecha from the original Macross series. It can be used
with or without Palladium Books RoboTech RPG. This could be the mecha game I
have always wanted, well Gundam or Code Geass would have been better choice but
that is life. I am currently on the New Dawn level, but I plan on upping it to
Battle Cry. With this and Deadzone I might need to rethink starting Warmachine.
Well we will see. I might just go with a team for Deadzone and bits to back it
up. Also because of the KickStarter I keep on humming Firebomber song. I am
going to have to add an electric guitar to a red Valkyrie.
AJ and Dolph Ziggler in Paris, the city of LOVE. |
Now for what
AJ Lee has been up to this past week. AJ was on Raw this week support the World
Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler with the help of Big E Langston. Dolph was
originally meant to face Alberto Del Rio in a title match, but Jack Swagger
attacked Del Rio re-injuring his anchal. A non title match was made later
between Swagger and Dolph which Swagger won. So a triple threat title match was
made for Extreme Rules. AJ was not on Smackdown this week, but she has been
supporting Dolph on a ton of house shows.
