Neoscream's Life: 8th to 14th April 2013

MRX-009 Psyco Gundam (Mobile Suit mode)

Welcome to the all new Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I did last week and news on stuff like Crooked Dice Games, DreadBall and AJ Lee. The painting section and the Cosplay Deviants section now have their own posts so they will not be appearing these posts anymore.

Monday was the second night of the DreadBall League. Like last time we had two games. With the 11mc I had left over from last time, I spent 8mc to get a Defensive Coaching Staff. Finally my AJ Lee miniature gets a use in DreadBall that is not just a lucky charm. The first game of the night I was up against Rob. He was using a Corporation team too. He was using a three Guards and three Strikers on the patch. He had brought an extra Guard with the mc he earned. He ended up winning the game with six points. Rob is doing well with the landslide win as he scored one last time and he scored one in the next game as well. In my next game I was up against Craig and his Marauders. In the first rush I managed to kill onr of his Orx guards thanks to Ginrai. It was a tight game to begin with, but when he was on one point up he decided to park a Goblin with the ball on the edge with the two remaining Orxs, another Goblin and the Ref Bot surrounding him so that I cannot get to the ball. During the last couple of rushes I could not do much because of it. So two loses this time. I currently at second place in my group. Still two more games to determine the top two players of each group. These games will happen on the 20th of May.

Z241 Ministry Building with base
On the 1st of April, I ordered two large bits of terrain from Amera Plastic Mouldings. The I buildings were Z241 Ministry Building with Base and Z228 Extended Admin Block with Buttresses. I did try to order it to be picked up at Salute, but I must have miss ordered it and it was sent to me in the post. When I got home from DreadBall I found it had arrived and that it was a good reason why it was better to receive it in the post than collecting it at Salute as they were a lot bigger than I thought they would be. In fact if I actually checked the sizes I would have gone with just the Ministry Building and brought odd small bits like trees and a water fountain. Never mind. Sadly I have to wait until I get a new craft knife to build them as my one broke while I was cutting the windows out. Damn it. Luckily I managed to pick up a new one at Hobbycraft for £1 so I can continue working on it.

On Saturday I was off work playing at Wargames Workshop MK's second DreadBall Tournament. We are now using new tournament rules. Instead of gaining stuff in between games, we have 30mc to spend on stuff. You can buy new ranks for players at 5mc each. However all dice rolls to determine advancements are rolled at the start of each game than just once at the beginning of the tournament. Also at the end of each match a play (a figure, not a coach) is randomly determined as the Man of the Match has one advancement only for the next game. I went for a Defensive Coaching Staff, two Coaching Dice and two rank ups (one for my Jack called Alita and another for a Guard called Libby). Sadly only me, Rob and Bob (yes that is right, three Roberts) turned up. Due to the odd numbers Barry (the person running the tournament) had to play. On the first game I was up against Barrie which I won. On the second game I was up against Bob which I lost. On the third game I was up against Rob which I won. On the fourth snd final game of this tournament I was up against Bob again due to the low numbers and lost by a landslide. I ended up getting third place, tied with Rob on the Pin-Up Heroic Deed snd won the Marksman Heroic Deed. I Have shot up from fifth place to second place in the 2013 Championship now. Wow that is great. Can I keep it up.

Buzzcut
Firewall
Now for some DreadBall news. Wayland Games have posted dates for the new Season Two stuff. On the 25th of April they will be shipping the Female Corporation, the Judwan and four MVPs (which includes Buzzcut. On the 17th of May they will be shipping the robots, the bugs, Cheerleaders, Coaching Staff and two MVPs. Painmaster and Orky are still missing. Please note that these dates may change due to it being Wayland Games and the closeness to the date and the next piece of news. The delay of the second shipment is because Mantic is having problems with their Chinese manufacturers shipping the stuff ti them, which they still do not have. It is clear that we will not be getting are shipments before Salute, but with they start selling Season Two at Salute? Only time will tell. Also painted images of the MVP Buzzcut and Firewall. Everyone was shocked to learn that Buzzcut is not a big Orx. He is in face a very big human (thing Big Show) or some kind of space Ogre.

Next is the Crooked Dice Games news. There has been two bits of 7TV news. The first being that two of Wally Harwood’s figures from his excellent Sinbad range has been add to their store. These are the swashbuckling Sinbad and evil wizard Al’Kadar. The second bit of news is that they have revealed pictures of next month's three nee figures. These are the three main characters from the United Radionics team lineup: Lancelot Cray, Lionel and The Man in the Lead-Lined Suit.

Before the AJ news, let us talk about the results of Wrestlemania 29. First off is the Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett verses The Miz per show match. Sadly I did not get to see this match, but Miz won the match, becoming the new Intercontinental Champion. However, sadly Barrett cashed in his rematch clause on Raw the night after and won it back.

Then there is the Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show verses The Shield. Sadly like normal the Shield won the match. Randy and Sheamus showed that they can work together as they were tagging each other in, so Big Show had to tag himself in to the match. After the match Big Show KO punch both Sheamus and Randy. At least I got that bit right. Both Randy and Sheamus are after Big Show now. Also the Shield tried targeting the Undertaker on Raw and Triple H on Smackdown, but Team Hell No coursed them to back off both times.

Then there is the Ryback verses Mark Henry match. Ryback would have won the match if his knee did not give out and cost him the match. Now both men are targeting WWE Championship.

Next is the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No verses AJ Lee's boys, Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston. Big E was awesome, but sadly Daniel Bryan cheated (first) costing AJ's boys the match.

Then there is the Chris Jericho verses Fandango. Jericho was it control of most of the match, but somehow Dimbat won the match.

Next is World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio verses Jack Swagger. Del Rio won the match and the match against Swagger (and Zeb Colte) the next night on Raw. However something happened after the match on Raw, but you have to wait until last on ib this post to find out what.

Now for the big three. First off is the Undertaker verses CM Punk. Undertaker won in with out injuries and there was no CM Punk last week.

Then there is the epic Triple H verses Brock Lesnar No Holds Barred Match, which if Lesnar wins Triple H must retire from in ring action. The Game, Triple H kick the crap out of Lesnar. He also used Lesnar's kimura lock against him. So Triple H won, but it looks like he has injured (not broken) his own arm.

Lastly is the WWE Champion The Rock verses John Cena. Cena beat the Rock, winning the WWE Championship. But both men stood tall side by side. The Rock was injured but is planning on cashing in his rematch clause. I agree on Cena comments about it. "What is this? A once in a lifetime, best out of three!"

Both the Tons of Funk and The Funkadactyls verses Team Rhodes Scholars and The Bella Twins match that was billed to be on or the Divas Champion Kaitlyn verses AJ Lee match that there was build up for and the fans voted for, ever happened. We got the of Funk and The Funkadactyls verses Team Rhodes Scholars and The Bella Twins match during Raw.

Now for what AJ Lee has been up to this past week. AJ appeared twice during Raw last week. The first time was her and Dolph supporting Big E in his first ever singles match. He was up against Daniel Bryan who had Kane st his side. Big E won the match with ease. And the second time was when the Show Off Dolph cashed in his Money in the Bank contact against Del Rio on Raw. Dolph won and is now the World Heavyweight Champion.

AJ was supporting Dolph like normal on Smackdown last week. At the start of the show, Big E come out first to introduce the new World Heavyweight Champion Dolph in the same style as Ricardo Rodriguez. When AJ, Dolph and Big E got to the ring, Dolph talked about being the Champion. After watching some Wrestlemania interviews from the real Dolp and AJ, I will have to say I am liking Dolph now. Jack Swagger and Zeb Colte came out saying that he should be number one contender, but Dolph said he had his chance st Wrestlemania and failed.  He should go to the back of the line. Swagger and Zeb Colte left and then Del Rio came out demanding his rights to a rematch. However due to still being injury from Raw, he could not do anything about it. After Del Rio left Jericho came out saying that he will be face the Champion in the main event on Smackdown. He also named Dolph's fans as Dolphins. I class my self as a AJ fan and feel we AJ fans need a name. My choice would be Worshippers of the Geek Goddess. Later Jericho came out for his match, but found that there was five people waiting for him at the Ring and Ringside instead of the three he expected. Fang Dimbat (Fandango) and his female assistant were there too. Dolph won the match with a bit of help from Big E and Fang Dimbat. Looks like the whole Jericho verses Fang Dimbat thing is leading to a rematch. Extreme Rules maybe?
