Gaming News from Neoscream: 23rd January 2015

Welcome to the newly restructured “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games, my painting and now includes upcoming local events.

“Gaming News”

First off is the HeroClix news. This week we get previews of Blue Devil, Green Lantern, Power Ring, Frankenstein and Zatanna from DC Justice League Trinity War. The set is now slated for a mid-February release.
Thursday’s HeroClix game at York House was pushed back by a week due to the fact Adrian could not make it (because he was playing Magic).

Next is the Privateer Press news. This week for Warmachine Tactics, they have added four Mercenaries characters. These are: Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios; Greygore Boomhowler; Jarok Croe; and Cutthroat. Also they are hope to finish off and sent out the digital art book and PDF map pack  in the next six to eight weeks.

Now for the Mantic news. I have now received my wave three of Deadzone stuff. Also wave two of DreadBall Xtrme has began shipping this week. Brute Force Is listed to be In wave two however I have sadly not seen a figure of her yet, paint or unpainted.

Next is the Ninja Division news. With Robotech RPG Tactics due to trouble on the sea the Europe stuff is being delayed by almost a week so far. This might sadly get worst when it hit the main seas. So currently it is late February now.

Now for the Stonehaven Miniatures news. This week's green from their Half-Orc Adventurers KickStarter was the Grippli Pickpocket.

Next is the Knight Miniatures news. This week they have released four new figures. The first being the TV Arrow revealed last week, Swamp Thing, Loki (Marvel) and the Jason Todd version of Red Hood. We also got some previews of an Arkham City Warning Signs terrain set.

Now for the Dragon Tides KickStarter. The Pledge Manager is now online and they have done new stretch goals based on the extras stuff sold in the Pledge Manager (and from new backers). A set of two Showdown Dice will be added to the Jade Dragon Level at $10k; the Japanime Games character Oscar Kass as an add-on at $15k; a Suited Up version of the character Ivan Castle will be added to the Jade Dragon Level at $20k; the Shingo Games character Rabid Skunk as an add-on at $25k; a new Ninja sculpt added to the Henchmen at $30k; the Japanime Games character Domino Bonaparte as an add-on at $35k; an alternate version of the character White Moon will be added to the Jade Dragon level at $40k; and the character General Feng will be added to the Jade Dragon level at $45k.
After watching Kill Bill Volume One on Wednesday, I am now really wanting to get this, sadly I have to want until September at the earliness for it.

Next I would like to bring up a new KickStarter from Monolith Board Games LLC that started last week called, Conan. I was planned to post about it last week, but never got round to. This KickStarter was funded in just 5 minutes and 37 seconds and has just gone past the $1m mark yesterday in just eleven out of the thirty days run. WOW! It is currently in 14th place in the twenty non-computer gaming KickStarters. Sadly I am not backing it due to money and space. I bear have space with what I have without including what I am still wanting for. Robotech RPG Tactics, Kingdom Death Monster, Zombicide Season Three, Dragon Tides, Yashima Legend of the Kami Master, Demigods Rising, the rest of DreadBall Xtrme and a bunch of extra figures from other ones. OMFG! However I will be following it from now as it looks great, it is a fantastic deal and has done so awesomely in just under two weeks. My only worry is that in is too successful and end up running year(s) late like Robotech RPG Tactics, Kingdom Death Monster, Shadows of Brimstone, Journey Wrath of Daemons and Deadzone due to the work load and quality control (which they stated on Beasts of War these will be high quality like Journey Wrath of Daemons).
There are two basic plague levels: Barbarian Pledge and King Pledge. Barbarian Pledge contains the Box game and all the stretch goal. While King Pledge comes with the game in a KickStarter excusive deluxe box, four addition scenarios, a KickStarter excusive Thog, three KickStarter excusive heroes, a KickStarter excusive ally, fifteen KickStarter excusive Skeletons; ten KickStarter excusive Mummies, cards for all of these, six extra dice and all the stretch goal.
Since starting the goals they manage to smash and new add-on they added were: The game was funded; ten Picts; ten Skeleton; the KickStarter excusive hero called Pallantides; five Pirates; five Guards; a KickStarter excusive Man-ape; ten Mummies; the KickStarter excusive leader Natohk; five chests; five cases; a doublesided gameboard with four new scenarios; the hero Olgerd Vladislav; three tables; ten stools; the KickStarter excusive hero Conan the Mercenary; a Hyperborean Primitive; five Tentacles; a Giant Spider; the leader Constantius; the KickStarter excusive hero Savage Bêlit; a KickStarter excusive Conan dice bag; a Swamp Daemon; a Bookcase; two Piles of skulls; the leader Akivasha; a Sarcophagus; the KickStarter excusive hero Kerim Shah; the KickStarter excusive hero Conan the Warlord; a poster map of the Hyborian Continent; a character based on Robert E. Howard; the Khitai Expansion as an add-on; a Campaign/Art book with fifteen new equipment cards as an add-on for only people who backed at King Pledge level; the KickStarter excusive leader Baal Pteor as an add-on; a the KickStarter excusive Sabretooth-tiger as an add-on; the Brom Boxx Conan and Bêlit as an add-on.
The Stretch goals still going when I post
this were: A Giant Scorpion at $1.05m.

Now for the Kingdom Death news. There should be a BIG update next Friday. The long wait is due to things happing, good things.

Lastly there is the Last Saga news (I jokingly left this to last due to the name). They should be getting some of their figures in next week so they should be starting shipping orders that they are able to. They plan to ship rewards as they are ready than wanting for everything to arrive before shipping.

Wargames Workshop MK has a £2 gaming fee or £4 with a pack of Magic the Gathering cards unless it is a paid tournament run by Guardians of Tyr (not including High Command). Weekday events normally start “playing” at 7PM.

For rules for Guardians of Tyr tournaments and leagues as well as information on pre booking your place in tournament. Pre booking is highly recommended so they know how many people are coming. So please go to their website which there is a link to it under my links section which are located on the right hand side of this blog.

York House has a £3 on the day gaming fee and a £5 fee for a year’s membership. However the first day is free and they only take yearly membership fee at the start of the year. The Hall officially opens at 7PM, but normally people start arrived 15 to 20 minutes early.
