Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my
weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer
games.
Gaming News
First off is the HeroClix news. This week we had
previews of: Senator Robert Kelly from Marvel X-Men Days of Future Past; Bullseye
and Cable from Marvel Deadpool; and the Power Battery and the Power Lantern
Ring from DC War of Light.
Now for the Ninja Division news. Super Dungeon
Explorer Forgotten King KickStarter. Here is a re-look of what the Always Super
level was like at the end of the last post:
Always Super – The new
Super Dungeon Explore The Forgotten King box set now with six pet models and
unique treasure and loot art work for all the card; updated Decks for the original
and the two expansion packs which now includes unique treasure and loot art
work for all the card; the Hero Brave-Mode Candy and her pet Never-Lost Cola;
the Mistmourn Cost Warband now including more figures; the heroes Royal Warden
and Wandering Minstrel; a pack of twelve plastic Potion counters; a pack of
thirty plastic Wound counters; Hero versions cards for several of the
Mini-Bosses (both old and new); and six Giri Creeps.
The goals it managed to unlock during the fourth
week were: six new double sided map tiles as an add-on; the Mini-Boss
Shadow-Mode Candy was added to Always Super level (and not an add-on which I
reported last week); The Claws of the Wyrm warband (the Hero Dragon Blade, the
Mini-Boss Wyrm Claw Templar, two Black Claw Assassins, three Claw Trainers, six
Drake Hounds and two Claw Shrine spawning point) as an add-on; the Mini-Boss
Salt was added to the Mistmourn Cost Warband; a pack of twelve Rattlebone
Creeps as an add-on; the Pumpkin Patch spawning point and figures were added to
Always Super level; The Stilt Town Zombies Warband (the Hero Zombie Survivor
Marie-Claude, the Mini-Boss Gruesome George, a Shamble Priest, two Pudges, two
Prowler, six Swampies and two Grabby House) as an add-on; and the twenty-four
card Explore Deck in the box game will be upgraded to thirty-six cards.
The stretch goals that were still
going as I post this were: at a sixteen page Crystalia Adventures Colouring and
Storybook for your children will be added to Always Super level at $700k; and a
Boo Booty Box will be added to Always Super level at $730k which will carry
everything apart of the starter set from the level.
The Wyrm Claw Templar Mini-Boss is
also the mystery Hero from the Mini-Boss Hero card. Also Next week is the last
week of the KickStarter. What other goods can they unlock between now and the
end?
The Artillery Battlepod Sprue |
With Robotech RPG Tactics there was
a “Question and Answers” post on the KickStarter that was just post before I
started posting this post. The The Zentraedi Artillery Battlepods, Blast
Template, Command Tokens, and bases are all done, however everything else are
still having their final modes tooled or awaiting approval. Sadly there are no
more detailed dates for the first wave other than the second quarter of this
year. I have a feeling it will be the end of in (June) or it will be late to
the current plan (which they say it will not be). There are plans to do the
other Robotech generations, however there is a known scaling with the Cyclones.
Work on these will start AFTER The Macross Saga (all the KickStarter stuff is done).
There was also images of the final Artillery Battlepod sprue.
Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. With Zombicide,
they have revealed that they will be releasing a Compendium for Season One with
an updated Switch City Campaign, a band new five mission campaign, updated past
missions from the website and a couple of new missions too. Also there is a new
mission on their website called "Spring Cleaning".
Now for the Privateer Press news. The physical
rewards have began shipping and should arrive to backer by the end of the
month, however us in the UK and European might have to want a little longer as
the stuff has to get to there European site in bulk before it gets shipped to the
backers.
Also the first wave of April releases are out now.
Sorry for not listing them last week, but Privateer Press never release final
dates for the April releases until after the first wave was sent. This first
wave of release are: the Convergence Light Vector Corollary, the Convergence
Warcaster Father Lucant Divinity Architect, the Legion Blighted Nyss Unit
Spawning Vessel and the Skorne Character Heavy Warbeast Despoiler. I might pick up a Corollary at Salute tomorrow or Wargames Workshop MK on Monday. The next
April set of releases are on the 23rd and are: the Cryx Cavalry Unit
Bane Riders, the new Convergence Heavy Vector set (can be built into ever
Assimilator, Conservator or Modulator), the Zombies Keep Out game and the Warmachine
High Command expansion set called “Heroes and Legends”. There are still no
signs of the June releases yet.
Next is the StarCrawlers news. They will be posting
up the survey soon and on it there will be a bunch of game design add-ons like
design an achievement.
Now for the Mechabrick news. There should be two
surveys up by the end of May and tooling should begin sometime in May or June.
I have no clue how long tooling and production will take but I cannot see
shipping being before July (to be honest I cannot really see it beginning
shipping in July ever).
Next the Journey: Wrath of Daemons news. This week on
KickStarter we had a ton of pictures from them of the game pieces that were at
Adepticon. This game is really looking great.
Next is the Mantic news. Mantic have released
tournament rules pack for Loka ready for their Loka tournament at their open
day. Also on the DreadBall Xtreme KickStarter, we got some CAD images of some
of the new figures like the Med-Bot.
Now for the Crooked Dice Games news. There are now
four new releases from Ocelot Games on their store. These are Mastock and three
Killers all from the Grandville comics. They will be available to buy at Salute
as well.
Lastly there is the Mekton news. The cover art is now
finally done.
