Gaming with Neoscream: 13th April 2014

Welcome to “Gaming with Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming report and event write up post for miniature games, RPGs, card games and computer games.

This Week's Events

On Monday I went to Wargames Workshop MK for my first ever (none demo) game of Deadzone. Me and Dave played a 40 point game to get a hand of the rules. I was using Rebels while he used Marauders. Sadly I lost the game but it was fun. We should be doing another game of Deadzone next week. This time we are hoping to have more fields some more games can be played.

On Thursday I went down to York House to play some games of HeroClix. This week we were playing the scenario "15" (please check the HeroClix Scenarios page for more information). My team this week was a Green Lantern themed team. All the teams used this week are in the Armies section of this post (including Darren S’s team from last week).
In the first round I was up against Darren S who was using a Legion of Doom (not the past WWE Tag team) themed team. Like normal I lost against him. Also Adrian won his game against his broth Michael.
In the second round I was up against Michael who was using a Teen Titans themed team. I managed to wipe out his inter team without losing a single figure. Also Darren S won his game against Adrian.
In the third and final round I was up against Adrian who was using an Outsiders themed team. I managed to win this game but it was close we each took out two figures.  Also Darren S won his game against Michael.
Darren S won overall this week with three wins, I got second with two wins, Adrian was third with one win and Michael was last with no wins.
For those who are wanting to know, the other games happening at York House were Warhammer Fantasy, DBMM, Deadzone, Wings of War, Field of Glory and Flames of War.

Early Saturday morning I court the train to London. I was heading to Salute, the biggest gaming conversation of the year in England. It was an enjoyable day and I bump into people I knew from gaming at Wargames Workshop MK. I even video bombed Beasts of War twice, sorry guys. I got a little demo of the Batman Miniatures game too, which the rules are available as a free download on their site. I will try to remember to add a link to their site too. I pick up a ton of stuff there. These were: The program guide, the free Salute 2014 figure and a Salute 2014 D6 from the goody bag; Spec Ops Squad (SG-1), Weeping Willow (to use as a Zombicide Zombivor version of AJ), Sabre-Toothed Tigress and a free Zombie Suzi (go and a bunch of sweets) from Hasslefree Miniatures; Arturus SciFi Roman, Masterson, Dr Hugh and Ecclescake from Heresy Miniatures (more Doctor Who goodness); the coppers pack and the Vortex Adventurers from Crooked Dice Games (even more DoctorWho goodness); Enforcer Captain and a bunch of free terrain spurs (which is useless without the connectors, Facepalm) from Mantic; five HeroClix figures and a replacement dial for Batzarro; a pack of six samurai; G.O.T. Sci-Fi Civilian Female Courtesan; eight fancy D6; a Convergence Corollary Light Vector and a Menoth Dervish Light Warjack; two of the Salute 2013 figures and a red line pointer for line of sight from the Salute stand; and Sphere Wars Hedgehog Girl.
