HeroClix 12th of May, Birthday Luck

Welcome to another Heroclix post. So about being late with is post did get time to do all the extra thinks and blogger was not allowing posts to be posted. Well this week was 400 points, villains only, no figure must be over 125 points include extras (e.g. Feats and ATA). After some looking I decided to go for this Sinister Syndicate team.

Dr. Octopus (Secrete Invasion) 69
Green Goblin (Web of Spider-Man) 122
Mysterio (Web of Spider-Man) 75
Shocker (Fantastic Four) 68
Maxwell Dillon (Ultimates) 54 + Stunning Blow (Feat) 10 = 64
=398 points and four re-rolls.

As I did not get a bye last week I got the round one bye this week. I used the time I had to type up everybodies teams a to get a drink. In round two I was up ageist Adam. He was using a Suicide Squad team. It was under points as he origanally picked a character that did not have the right keyword so he dumped the character and borrowed some feats from Darren. His end team was:

Deadshot (75th) 89
Count Vertigo (Arkham Asylum) 74 + Book of Destiny (Feat) 4 + Stunning Blow (Feat) 10 = 88
Lashina (Arkham Asylum) 72
Nightshade (Arkham Asylum) 50 + Armour Piercing (Feat) 10 + Flashbang 3 = 63
Bronze Tiger (JL) 60
=372 points and four re-rolls.

At first I was worried about his team however I manage to cream his force leading to a win for me. This made it two wins for me so far. On round three I was up ageist Michael. He was using a Gotham team who were:

3x Street Thug (Arkham Asylum) 19 x 3 = 57
The Joker (Vet Icons) 107
Two Face (Arkham Asylum) 75
Edward Nigma (Arkham Asylum) 60
The Penguin (Arkham Asylum) 70
Henchman (Arkham Asylum) 40
=409 points and four re-rolls.

OK, I sadly did not do the maths while there and I just now added them up. Michael’s team was five points over the House Rules maximum. Never mind. It was a slow battle, but as I had the longer range I stayed out of his range and picked off the ones that stepped out of cover to get closer. I ended up winning that round with only about a hundred victory points. On round four I was up ageist Adrian. As he forgot a member of his team and missed keyword another he had to throw in an extra and use a non themed team. They were:

Wonderman (Avengers) 117 + Thunderbolts (ATA) 8 = 125
Moonstone (Hammer of Thor) 76 + Thunderbolts (ATA) 8 = 84
Songbird (Hammer of Thor) 83 + Thunderbolts (ATA) 8 = 91
Blizzard (Vet Infinity Challenge) 53
Mystique (Rook Universe) 34
=388 points and no re-rolls.

At first I was worried as he had better ranges and move and attack abilities. However I manage to stick with it and to won the round with easy.  As we did not have time for a fifth round so I never played ageist Darren. I ended up winning over all this week with four straight wins and Darren was second with three wins. For those who are interested, Darren used a Sinister Syndicate team who were:

Doctor Octopus (Web of Spider-Man) 121
Green Goblin (Web of Spider-Man) 122
Jack O'Lantern (Rook Sinister) 32
Shocker (Fantastic Four) 68
Hydro Man (Exp Sinister) 57
=400 points and four re-rolls.

So Sinister Syndicate ended up being clearly the best team of villains. Next week will be bring two 300 points teams. Team One must be all villains, maximum of two figure and no figure under 100 points. Team Two must be all good guys, minimum of four figures and no figure over 100 points.

Several hours after post posting last week’s post, there was a post on HCRealms with pictures of the next main DC set, Superman. I am not a Superman fan so I properly will not be getting any. Previews of the rest of the Green Lantern characters from the Green Lantern set have been posted (Boodikka, Ganthet, R'Amey Holl, Tomar-Re, Sinestro and Abin Sur) and the three Toys 'R Us exclive versons colossals figures (Sentinel Mark V, Sentinal Mark II and Apocalypse). Also in major HeroClix news, HeroClix Online is now on Open Beta and there is a new player’s guide out. Sadly I have not had to time to try HeroClix Online out. On personal news, I have just got two new boosters (this would have been on next week’s post if I was not running behind): One Brave and the Bold and one 75th. Both with filled with figure I do not have with the super rares Wonder Woman on horseback and the Superman and Flash duo figure.

Well now to Dreamclix. In this week's DreamClix I am doing dial designs for Gatou from Naruto, Jango from One Piece, the Shu and Mia duo figure, Winberrl from CosmicBreak, the Glasgow Knightmare Frame from Code Geass, Min, Vadhaka and the Madripoor Thugs generics from the Wolverine anime. And design ideas for Shikamaru Nara and Sasuke Uchiha with his Sharingan eyes from Naruto, Nam from Dragon Ball, Buchi from One Piece, Ghostree, Jikun Hu and Jikun Long from CosmicBreak and Houki Shinonono and the rogue IS at the end of the show from IS: Infinite Stratos.

First off are the dial designs for Gatou, Jango, the Shu and Mia duo figure, Winberrl, the Glasgow Knightmare, Min, Vadhaka and the Madripoor Thugs generics.

As you might have noticed that I have done some major changes to Winberrl and the SUP trait for Support types. I have done this as I have decided to drop Wonder Bit. This does mean that all past Support type CosmicBreak character will now have the Support ability.

Now is Shikamaru Nara from Naruto. Shikamaru has a long-standing friendship with Chōji Akimichi. They met even before joining the Ninja Academy. When others ridiculed Chōji for his weight, Shikamaru instead chose to recognize his strength and worth as a person. Because of the kindness Shikamaru has always shown him, Chōji is unquestioningly loyal to him, and will gladly give his life for Shikamaru. Once they entered the Academy, Shikamaru and Chōji were among their classes' dead-lasts, along with Kiba Inuzuka and Naruto Uzumaki, spending their day pursuing more interesting pastimes. In Shikamaru's case, he would spend all day sleeping; to Shikamaru, even the very effort of putting pen-to-paper was just too much effort for him to put into it unless he had to. Iruka Umino, their instructor, would give them all the same condemnation. As a genin, Shikamaru Nara was the sort of unenthusiastic kid who liked to watch clouds. He preferred not to get involved in "troublesome" activities, pretending to be busy to avoid responsibility. He also does not like fighting, deeming it, as he does most things, "troublesome". He is fully aware of this side of his personality. He even named himself "the number one at running away" or "the number one coward". In fact, his most commonly used phrase is "how troublesome" in the Japanese version, and "what a drag" in the English version. However, when duty calls, Shikamaru has a strong moral compass and sense of commitment towards his comrades. Even though, by his own testimony, he lacks bravery, he will sacrifice himself and face almost certain death, for the sake of his friends and/or villagers without a second thought. He should have Stealth, Incapacitate and a special called “Formation Ino-Shika-Chō”.
Formation Ino-Shika-Chō: Shikamaru can use Perplex and Leadership. If there is a friendly character name Ino Yamanaka within eight squares of Shikamaru, Shikamaru gains a +1 to his Attack value. If there is a friendly character named Chōji Akimichi within eight squares of Shikamaru, Shikamaru gains a +1 to his Defence value.
He should have about five clicks of health and starting states of Movement 8, Attack 9, Defence 16, Damage 2 and Range 6. His TA should be the Naruto one and his keywords should be Kid, Konohagakure and Team Asuma.

Next is Sasuke Uchiha with his Sharingan eyes from Naruto. After the events at the Land of Waves Sasuke where his clan’s Kekkei Genkai, the Sharingan, awakens, Sasuke is seen using it more and more. However he has not let masters it like Kakashi Hatake has, but he is rapidity learning. Now let us talk about the Sharingan. It is not automatically activated in the user by birth. It is only first unlocked under some stressful or emotional condition after which the Sharingan may be used freely. When the Sharingan is first activated by a user, it has a different number of tomoe around the central pupil, varying between users. The wielder of the Sharingan, through continued use and training, changes its form further, which involves gaining more tomoe up to a maximum of three per eye. As the Sharingan develops, the user gains heightened abilities. He should have Charge, Stealth, Blades, Super Senses, Combat Reflexes and a trait called “Sharingan”.
Sharingan: Sharingan can use Probability Control, but only on his own attack rolls and attack rolls made ageist him.
He should have about six clicks of health and starting states of Movement 8, Attack 9, Defence 16, Damage 2 and Range 6 with one target. His TA should be the Naruto one and his keywords should be Kid, Konohagakure, Team Kakashi and Uchiha Clan.

Next is Nam from Dragon Ball. Nam is a warrior from a desert village that competed in the World Martial Arts Tournament. He is shown Nam has a pure heart since he is able to ride the Flying Nimbus. Nam makes his first appearance in the Tournament Saga, fighting Ranfan. Ranfan's sexy looks make Nam get close to the edge of the ring, but he overcomes by closing his eyes and using his other senses to defeat her. His next fight is against Goku, and while it is an intense fight with him using his Aerial Attack, he loses in the end. He competed because he needed the money to buy lots of water; where he was from, there was a terrible drought, and he had been sent to find a solution. Being defeated, however, he is unable to get the money to buy water and decides to leave. Master Roshi reads his mind and gets acquainted with his intentions. He then gives him a capsule so that he can store water from a well, and in return, asks Nam to impersonate Master Roshi in the crowd, as to protect Master Roshi's secret identity from his students, who were suspicious of Jackie Chun being Master Roshi. He should have a Trait called Pure-Heart, Charge, Plasticity, a special called “Shura Gekiretsuken”, Super Senses and Close Combat Expert.
Pure-Heart: Nam can be carried by Flying Nimbus.
Shura Gekiretsuken: Nam can use Super Senses. If he rolls a 6 on his Super Senses roll he deals one of unavoidable damage to the attacker.
He should have about six clicks of health and starting states of Movement 10, Attack 9, Defence 18, Damage 3 and Range 0. His should not have a TA and his keyword should be Martial Arts.

Next is Buchi from One Piece. Buchi along with his fellow pirate Sham, are the two protectors of the Black Cat ship, the Bezan Black. They are also known as the Nyaban Brothers. He should have Charge, Blades, Toughness, a Trait called “Nyaban Brothers” and a special called “Fury”.
Nyaban Brothers: If there is a friendly character named Sham within eight squares of Buchi, Buchi gains a +1 to his Attack value.
Fury: If there is a friendly character named Jango six squares of Buchi, Buchi can use Super Strength.
He should have about six clicks of health and starting states of Movement 8, Attack 9, Defence 16, Damage 3 and Range 0. His TA should be the One Piece one and his keywords should be Black Cat Pirates and pirate.

Next is Ghostree from CosmicBreak. Ghostree is one of the key holding bosses it quests where you need a party to take down than just on your own. It should have the Giant symbol, Energy Explosion, Invulnerability, Toughness and Indomitable. It should have about ten clicks of health and starting states of Movement 6, Attack 11, Defence 17, Damage 3 and Range 10 with three targets. Its TA should be the Chaos one and its keywords should be Chaos and Robot.

Next is the twins Jikun Hu and Jikun Long from CosmicBreak. Jikun Hu is the young leader of the Golden Tiger Alliance, famous for being skilled fighters who do not rely on weapons. He has trouble dealing with his older sister, Jikun Long. He is one of currently two male Moe characters from the game Jikun Long is the beautiful leader of the Violet Dragon Alliance, whose techniques are graceful and ever changing. She is always worried about her younger brother, Jikun Hu. Hu and Long is one of the two sets of Moe twins in CosmicBreak, both of them are small Land type characters. They should be two different figures but they should have the same or somewhat the same dial. They should have the LND trait, Charge, Combat Reflexes, Toughness and Close Combat Expert. They should have about five clicks of health and starting states of Movement 10, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 3 and Range 4 with one target. Their TA should be the Union one and their keywords should be Land, Martial Artist, Moe, Robot and Union.

Next is Houki Shinonono in her Aka Tsubaki IS from IS: Infinite Stratos. After being taken down so easily in the tournament, Houki contacted her older sister Tabane to ask her to make for a custom IS for her. However Tabane know her little sister would ask for her help and had already made her one, the Aka Tsubaki. At first she let the power go to her head but snapped out of it due to Ichika getting injured. In this she should have the Flight symbol a special called “High Speed Performance”, Blades and Toughness.
High Speed Performance: Houki can use Charge and Flurry, but not as part of the same action.
She should have about five clicks of health and starting states of Movement 12, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 2 and Range 0. Her TA should be the IS one and her keywords should be Armour, IS Academy and Teen.

Lastly is the Rogue IS at the end of the show from IS: Infinite Stratos. This thing manages to take a beating and then came back more powerful. To represent this I plan on splitting its dial into three parts of four clicks each. Stage one is when it fought Ichika and Houki, Stage two when it first fought all the main characters apart from Ichika and Stage three in the final battle. It should have Charge, Running Shot, Steal Energy, Hypersonic, Indomitable, Impervious, Toughness, Super Senses and Range Combat Expert. It should have about ten to twelve clicks of health and starting states at stage one should be Movement 10, Attack 9, Defence 16, Damage 3 and Range 8 with three targets. At stage two its starting states should be Movement 12, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 4 and Range 8 with three targets and at stage three should be Movement 14, Attack 12, Defence 19, Damage 5 and Range 8 with three targets. It should not have any TA and its keywords should be Armour and Robot.

Next time in DreamClix, I am planning on doing dial ideas for some more characters from the X-Men anime as well as Kurenai Yuhi from Naruto, Misa Amane from Death Note, Kaiju Giran from Dragon Ball and three more CosmicBreak characters. With dial designs I am planning on doing Orihime Inoue from Bleach, Captain Kuro from One Piece, Lin Yin Fang from IS: Infinite Stratos and two more characters from the Wolverine anime. Until next time, have fun.
