HeroClix, the 20th of October, An Army of Shadowcats

Welcome to another week of HeroClix. Sadly there was not HeroClix this week, so the Dynamic Duo is pushed back until next week. The previews for this week were White Tiger, Tiger Shark, John Jameson and Man-Wolf from the Incredible Hulk set; and Saruman and Ugluk from the Lord of the Rings set. Also an image of Ka-Zar and Shanna from the Incredible Hulk set. The dial tops do reveal that Ka-Zar has the duo ability duo to Xavier and has a range of 5 while Shanna has a trait and range 0.

This week's game was finally Dynamic Duo. 500 points. No Feat and Additional Team Abilities. Two of the characters must know each other quite well. The duo I went for was Shadowcat and Spider-Man, as in the Ultimate Comics they were a couple for a while and still are close friends. As a backup I picked several other duos based on Spider-Man and Cyclops. Can you see them:

On the first round I was up against Adrian. He was using a X-Men theme team who were:

In this game I had wait for him to move his forces to me. As I could not get more then one person into range. At the end of the game I had not lost a single figure, while only Kitty Pryde and Wolverine were the only ones left standing of Adrian's team by time. A victory to me. On the second round I was up against Darren. He was using an Excalibur theme team who were:

God this was nasty. Nightcrawler's high defense and Juggernaut's immunity to Psychic Blast was a pain. I did give his team a bloody nose, time was called as Juggernaut stairs down up on Jean Grey and Shadowcat. I lost this one. On the third and final round I was up against Michael. He was using a Detective theme team who were:

This was a total nightmare, most of the time I needed to roll a ten or more the hit anything. The double Preplex and triple Outwit was a nightmare too. By time I had only KO'd his Batman while Michael KO'd half my team.

Next week well be a Halloween special. 500 points. Three actions. No Inside Information or Monster Hunter. Characters with the Monster keyword will gain secret bonus.

Now for DreamClix. I will be doing ideas for a Mummy for the special Halloween side; a Gangster generic from Soul Eater; a new recruit generic from Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex; Fullbody from One Piece; and Naomi Misora from Death Note. But first here are the Dial designs from Count Dracula for the Halloween special; Lupit, Manananggal and Manananggal's Legs from the Blade anime; and Wootree from CosmicBreak.


Next is the Mummy for the special Halloween side. An ancient mummifed Egyptian priest or Pharaoh that has be reanimated by ancient magic and curses. It should have Poison, a special called "The Mummy's Curse", Indomitable and Toughness.
The Mummy's Curse: Mummy can use Incapacitate as if it has a range of 10. If the target is dealt or would have been dealt pushing damage, heal the Mummy one click.
It should have about eight clicks of health and its starting combat values should be Movement 5, Attack 10, Defense 17, Damage 3 and Range 0. Its TA should be the Mystics one and its keywords should be Monster, Mystical and Ruler. Next Halloween special idea is a secret.

Next is a Gangster generic from Soul Eater. These are Alcapone's grunts. They should have Energy Explosion and a minion power called "Alcapone's Orders".
Alcapone's Orders: If there is a character called Alcapone within eight squares of this character, this character can select one extra target with Energy Explosion and can use Toughness.
They should have about four clicks of health and its starting combat values should be Movement 7, Attack 9, Defense 16, Damage 2 and Range 6 with one target (which goes up to two with the minion ability). They should not have a TA and their keywords should be Evil Human. Next Soul Eater idea should be Mifune.

Next is a new recruit generic from Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex. I was originally going to do Azuma and Yano as ever a duo figure or two different characters. However I decided to do them as a new recruit generic as you did see Batou training groups of recruits. They should have two minion powers, "Batou's Training" and "The Major's Command", as well as Running Shot.
Batou's Training: If there is a character called Batou within eight squares of this character, this character can use Willpower.
The Major's Command: If there is a character called The Major within eight squares of this character, this character can use the Section 9 team ability.
They should have about four clicks of health and its starting combat values should be Movement 8, Attack 9, Defense 17, Damage 2 and Range 6 with one target. They should not have a TA and their keywords should be Section 9 and Soldier. Next Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex idea should be Proto.

Next is Fullbody from One Piece. Fullbody is a Lieutenan in the Marines. He was at first show to be in command of his gone show. In the Baratie restaurant, Sanji ruins his date with a woman named Moodie. Fullbody put a fly in the soup to get back at him. Sanji's continuing smug attitude leads Fullbody to smash the table at which he is sitting on prompting a fight with Sanji. He is later shown to have lost, held dangling from his neck and lecturedon wasting food. He later reappears in the show in Alabasta with the now former pirate Jango as his partner under the command of Hina. He should have Close Combat Expert and Toughness. He should have about four clicks of health and its starting combat values should be Movement 8, Attack 9, Defense 16, Damage 2 and Range 0. His TA should be the Marine one and his keyword should be Marines. Next One Piece idea should be the next member of the Straw Hat Crew, Sanji.

Lastly is Naomi Misora from Death Note. Naomi is the fiancé of Raye Penber. After the death of Raye, Naomi begins her own investigation into his death and comes to conclude that Kira is responsible. When Light Yagami over hears Naomi's plan to give her theory to the Fire Investigation Team, he quickly decides to eliminate her. Years before the main events in Death Note, Naomi had worked with L in an investigation. She should have a trait called "Life Partner", Perplex and Outwit.
Life Partner: If there is a friendly character called Raye Penber within eight squares of Naomi Misora, both Naomi Misora and Raye Penber gains a +1 to their Defense values. If a friendly character called Raye Penber has been KO'd, Naomi Misora ignores hindering terrain for line of sight for the rest of the game.
She should have about four clicks of health and its starting combat values should be Movement 8, Attack 9, Defense 17, Damage 2 and Range 6 with one target. She should not have a TA and her keyword should be Detective. Next Death Note idea should be a Yotsuba Group Member generic.
