Neoscream's Life: 30rd March to Easter 2015

The Hobgoblin team
Welcome to the new Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of what games I have been playing, what I watch and news on the great Geek Goddess, AJ, for the last time.

“Zombicide”

On Monday I went down for some Zombicide. We played the first mission from the first Compendium book, "Lost", three times. As it was an "Easy" season one mission, I added Toxic Zombies and Zombie Dogs to the mix (as well as Survivors from season two, dog companions, and Toxic City Mall equipment cards). An Abomination appeared in the first building we opened. We lost. We played it again without the Dog Zombies (and the non-English Toxic Zombie cards that somehow made it to the deck. We ended up with an Abomination In the first building again and we got swamped with Toxic Zombies. We lost again. We tried again a third time, but without the Toxic Zombies. We got an Abomination again in the first building. We did a lot better this time around, but we still lost. Face Palm.

“Warmachine/Hordes Tournament”

On Saturday I went to Wargames Workshop MK for the second time during the week. This time was for the Warmachine/Hordes Tournament. As I have not been doing well with my Convergence, I decided to try a different faction that I own. I have a bit of experience with Menoth, but I decide to use Cygnar which I have never used before. My team was:

Captain Kara Sloan (-6 PC to Warjacks)
Squire - PC: 2
Cyclone Heavy Warjack - PC: 9
Defender Heavy Warjack - PC: 9
Lieutenant Allison Jakes - PC: 3
Ironclad Heavy Warjack - PC: 7
Stormsmith Stormcaller - PC: 1
Black 13th Gun Mage Strike Team - PC: 4
A six man Long Gunner Infantry unit - PC: 6
= 35

On the first round I was up against a Skorne army. I ended up losing, but my opponent did give me some helpful tips at the end.

On the second round I was up against a Menoth army. Again I lost, but I am starting to get more use to my force. It did not help that most of the guys I killed came back to life. Beep! Beep! Beep! We then stopped for lunch.

The third round started after lunch and I was up against a Legion army. It was a much closer game, however my opponent won. I would have won if I did not fail to hit so much against the Warlock (and the hidden second Flurry token. Beep! Beep! Beep!).

On the fourth round I was up against a Retribution army. Shock! Horror! I won this game by assassinating his Warcaster. I think this was my second tournament win for Warmachine. OMG.

Due to time we did not have a fifth round. I ended up at sixteenth place out eighteen players. An improvement. I will give Cygnar another go in the next tournament. But I will do some changes, like replacing the Long Gunner Infantry with Arcane Tempest Gun Mages, drop Lieutenant Allison Jakes and the Ironclad and add a Hunter light Warjack or two. I really enjoyed use a shooting army.

"Wrestlemania 31"

Wow want a show. OK, let us go with the results. Starting with the two preshow matches.

First we have the four way tag match for the WWE Tag Team titles. WWE Tag Team Champions Tyson Kidd and Cesaro defeated The Usos, Los Matadores and The New Day's Big E and Kofi Kingston.

He second match was the second annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Big Show won this thirty-man Battle Royal claming the prize he deserves. Damien Mizdow did well as well, by dumping the dead weight, The Miz.

Now we move on to the main show. The first match was the seven-man ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. It involving the defending champion Bad News Barrett and challengers Daniel Bryan, R-Truth, Dean Ambrose, Luke Harper, Dolph Ziggler, and Stardust. Bryan won the match to claim his first Intercontinental Championship.

The second match a match between Seth Rollins and Randy Orton. Randy Orton won the match be delievering s wicked RKO, which was given additional elevation as Orton countered Rollins' Curb Stomp by flinging Rollins up into the air.

The third match was a pinfall and submissions-only match between Sting and Triple H. Both D-Generation X (Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, X-Pac and Shawn Michaels) and nWo members (Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan) interfered in the match.  However Triple H won the match with the help of a broken sledgehammer. Following the match, Triple H and Sting shook hands in the ring.

The fourth match was a Divas tag team match between the team of AJ Lee and Paige and The Bella Twins. The Geek Goddess, AJ won the match for her team by locking in the Black Widow to make the Diva’s Champion Nikki Bella to tap out.

The fifth match was for the WWE United States Championship between defending champion Rusev who was accompanied by his manager Lana and John Cena. Cena dealt Rusev his first pinfall loss in WWE, to become the new WWE United States Championship.

Now normally (unless it involves AJ), I do not talk about the non-match but the t-shirt calls out to for this to be bought up. The Authority (Triple H and Stephanie McMahon) came to the ring to talk about how well the show was doing, but then The Rock to come to the ring in but this head in. After a verbal exchange, Stephanie insulted the Rock and slapped him across the face, taunting that he would not retaliate because he dare not hit a woman. She told him to leave the ring which he did, but then he brought UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey (who was sitting in the front row) into the ring. After Ronda let Stephanie know that she "owns every ring she is in" Rock attacked Triple H and Ronda then threw both Stephanie and Triple H from the ring, first teasing an armbar on Stephanie. This was awesome and Ronda’s t-shirt was fantastic too. It was a Dragon Ball Z Vegeta “It’s over 9,000” t-shire. The t-shirt and seeing her kick Stephanie’s butt makes her my third if not second (sorry Paige) female wrestler.

The sixth match was a singles match between the returning Undertaker and the Arkham escapee Bray Wyatt. The Undertaker won the match. He look a lot healthier then what he did the last time we saw him, Wrestlemania 30.

The main event of the night was the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between defending champion Brock Lesnar who was accompanied by his manager Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns. Lesnar deliver suplex after suplex onto Reigns. But he just smiled and laughed them off. Oh and Reigns had beaten Lesnar’s face to a bloody pulp. Lesnar then hit a fourth F-5 on Reigns, but was unable to follow up due to fatigue and blood loss. While both men were down, the rat Seth Rollins ran in from the back with his Money in the Bank briefcase and cashed in his contract. The referee turning the singles match into a triple threat. Which Rollins sadly won as he was up against two heavily warn out powerhouses who had beaten the crap out of each other.

“AJ and the WWE”

On Raw last week, AJ was in a six Diva tag match. It was her, Paige and Naomi verses the Bellas twins and Natalya. Naomi won the match for her team by pinning the Diva’s Champion Nikki Bella

If you have not read Sunday’s “5th Anniversary” post, please do. As it talks about AJ retiring. However I will reveal that this week’s Raw all we got was a statement from the commentary team talking about her retiring. So sadly this will be the last weekly “AJ and the WWE” section. If I hear any AJ news I will do an “AJ News” section but I do not know how often it will be, if there are any as AJ in VERY private with her life outside WWE.

“Painting and Converting”

For this post I have for you both version of Angry Mery and the human version of Red Cap from Zombicide.

In the next post there should be White Knight from Kingdom Death and a Cygnar Defender Heavy Warjack from Warmachine.
