HeroClix, the 21st of July, Avengers vs Justice League part 2

Welcome to the first HeroClix blog post from my HTC Flyer. However I still need to do pictures on the laptop as the application I am using does not let me place pictures. There has not been any real news to report this week apart from personal news. I have received the Thor Fast Forces set in the post and have ordered three new figures from the Captain America set from 13th Floor. Kitty Pryde, Mister Hyde and Black Widow. Normally I would not bye super rates from them or spend more than £5 on a figure but as I am a Shadowcat fan I had to have her. Sadly they were sold out of all the SHIELD stuff. However when I received the figures in the post the free item 13th Floor sent me was a SHIELD Field Agent. Hippy.

This week we did a second week of Avengers vs Justice League. We played the team we did not use last week. This meant I had to use Justice League this week. Luckily the points limit was removed. I went for a team built around the 75th Green Arrow. The team was:

Green Arrow (75th) 80
Green Lantern (Crisis) 157
Red Arrow (Crisis) 73
Batman (Justice League) 75
Zatanna (Justice League) 72
Vixen (Vet Collateral Damage) 44
=501 Points and four re-rolls.

As there was no Adam this week it was only three rounds this week. On the first round I was up against Darren. He was using an Avengers team who were :

Captain America (Captain America) 83
Luke Cage (Captain America) 98
Beast (Giant Size X-Men) 95
War Machine (Hammer of Thor) 137
Hawkeye (Avengers) 56
Scarlet Witch (Avengers) 35
=504 points and four re-rolls.

So Darren was showing off some of his new Captain America stuff. Luke Cage was quite good and in hand to hand Captain America is monster (just shoot the pain). It was a close game, Darren's skills vs my luck. He just managed to win. On the second round I was up against Michel. He was using an Avengers team, the same team his brother Adrian used last week which were:

Dr. Strange (Secrete Invasion) 149
Captain America (Hammer of Thor) 72
Scarlet Witch (Avengers) 35
Spider-Girl (Secrete Invasion) 77
Yellowjacket (human Secrete Invasion) 100
Mockingbird (Vet Sinister) 34
Black Panther (Rook Universe) 27
=494 points and four re-rolls.

This time I did much better this time. However there was no way I could get to Dr. Strange to drop his defense value and make him loss Defend. I ended up losing the game, however I did leave his team with a very bloody noes. On the third and final round I was up against Adrian. He was using a JLA team who were:

Batman (Justice League) 75
Plastic Man (Justice League) 55
Major Disaster (Justice League) 59
The Flash (Justice League) 114
Orion (Collateral Damage) 168
=471 points and four re-rolls

My team ripped apart this team. Orion's low defense and Batman hiding in an object in front of several range attack based characters. As you can tell I who this game. Over all this week I only won one game, but the other two were close enough to personal call it a good week than a bad one. Avengers ended up being the better side, of course, but that sadly might be due to Superman being banned and the anti stealth in the Avengers side. There will be no HeroClix next week due to no Darren. However the next three weeks will be ?. Pick a figure, that figure must be used each week but no other figure can be used more than once. The first week will be 300 points, the second week will be 400 points and the third and final week will be 500 points. I have a rough I idea what to do for this.

This week's DreamClix I am doing dial ideas for Human Servant and Detective Mizu from the Blade anime; Leon from Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040; Monster Carrot from Dragon Ball and Kanzo Mogi from Death Note.

But first here are five dial designs. This week we have Kaga and Rat from the X-Men anime; Destructor Girl from CosmicBreak; Valkyrie System from IS: Infinite Stratos and Ino Yamanaka from Naruto.

Next we have the Human Servant generic from the Blade anime. Human Servants are humans who work for vampires. Like the other genetics I have been doing, Human Servant will sport a slit dial design, politician and police officer. Both should have a minion power called "Slave", about four clicks of health, a Range value of 4 withone target and no TA.
Slave: If there is a character with 8 squares of this character with the Monster keyword and is more than 100 points, this character can give other characters with the Monster keyword that are adjacent to this character the Mastermind power.
The politician part should have Outwit, starting values of Movement 5, Attack 7, Defense 15, Damage 1 and keywords Politician and Existence. While the police officer part should have Enhance, starting values of Movement 6, Attack 8, Defense 16, Damage 2 and keywords Police and Existence.

Next is Detective Mizu from the Blade anime. He is a good cop with a family who found out from Blade that the most if not all of the officers in his station work for Existence including the higher ups. He helped Blade free a group of girls being used as a blood farm by Tanaka for Deacon Frost. He should have Perplex and Defend. He should have about four clicks of health and starting values of Movement 6, Attack 8, Defense 18, Damage 2 and Range 6 with one target. His TA should be th PD one and his keywords should be Police and Detective.

Next is Leon McNichol from Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040. Leon is a frustrated but dedicated cop, with a tendency to rush in without thinking. Having worked his way up from the normal police, Leon sees himself as the protector of the local citizens and initially dislikes the vigilante nature of the Knight Sabers. He meets and becomes a big brother figure for Nene and falls in love with Priss. He is unaware of her being a Knight Saber until later in the series, but when he learns the truth he keeps it to himself. At the end of the series, Priss returns his feelings. He should have Range Combat Expert, Perplex, Toughness and Willpower. He should have five clicks of health and starting values of Movement 7, Attack 9, Defense 17, Damage 1 and Range 6 with one target. He should have two TAs AD Police and Knight Sabers and the keywords AD Police and Police. AD Police team ability: Same as the SHIELD TA.

Next is Monster Carrot from Dragon Ball. Monster Carrot is an anthropomorphic rabbit, and the leader of the Rabbit Mob. Each of his cronies are subject to wearing a pair of false rabbit ears. Before their downfall at the hands of Goku, the Rabbit Mob is in control of a remote village somewhere in the Diablo Desert. He should have Leap Climb, Exploit Weakness and Leadership. He should have five clicks of health and starting values of Movement 10, Attack 9, Defense 18, Damage 3 and Range 0. He should not have any TAs and the keywords Rabbit Mob and Ruler.

Lastly we have Kanzo Mogi from Death Note. Kanzo Mogi is one of the most dedicated members of the Kira investigation team, but also one of the most reserved. In the manga, he is originally ordered by L to investigate the Kitamura family, and to pose as L, since the family members were under suspicion of being Kira. Mogi rarely speaks, even when someone presents an opinion he agrees with. He is shown to be an excellent actor, becoming an excited and cheery manager for Misa on demand and in seeming contradiction to his usual demeanor. Mogi initially seems to serve as more of a field agent during early parts of the Kira investigation, not seeming to be present during most of the team's meetings in any of the various hotels they met in. Mogi is seen meeting with the team more often when the investigation team moves to their new headquarters, where L acknowledges him as being an invaluable asset in intelligence gathering. He should have Defend, about four clicks of health and starting values of Movement 7, Attack 9, Defense 18, Damage 2 and Range 4 with one target. His TA should be the PD one and his keywords should be Celebrity, Police, Detective and Kira Investigation Team.

Well the is it for now, next week will be a DreamClix special due to no HeroClix next week were I will probable do eight dial ideas and seven dial designs. Please vote on the polls. Until next time, have fun.
