Neoscream's Life: 9th to 15th September 2013

RMS-154 Barzam
Welcome to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I have done last week and news on stuff from Crooked Dice Games, Mantic Games, Robotech RPG Tactics, Warmachine and the Geek Goddess AJ Lee. However from next week on all gaming stuff will be moved to its own gaming post that has not been named yet. (OK I named it on Monday, but I am not going back re-editing everything.

“Life”

I like to talk about the difference between Seventh and Eighth edition of CompTIA A+ Certification and there exams that I have learnt from reading the book. First of the Certification itself is no longer a lifelong Certification, it will only lasts for three years unless you renew or take another of CompTIA exams like Networking+. Another is that the book now includes Windows 7 and has dropped Windows 2000 as an OS to know the ins and outs of. Mac OS and Linx? was not covered in the OS chapter which I hear were meant to be. I originally read that networking was cut down on, but looking at the book there is MORE in the book about Networking than lest and the exams have a higher percentage of networking (27% instead of 15% of the first exam). In fact they have added a Networking chapter earlier on in the book. Currently that is all I have noticed so far. I will have to wait until I have finished reading chapter five to see other changes (like processors).

General Tor from Mar Attack
Last week a former manager and friend of mine has returned and is back to full time now. It is great having him back. Maybe things will get done now.

Just a heads up that the Warmachine/Hordes Journeyman League finals will not be in next week’s Neoscream’s Life post. Instead it will be in the new gaming post (currently unnamed) that will be replacing the MK HeroClix post.

“Games”

This is the last time this part will be on this post from next week it will be on the yet un-names Game post.

First off is the Mantic news. Huge news for DeadZone, the released date for the first wave has been moved up from December to November. So figures cross that will be DreadBall arriving October, Deadzone is being sent off in November and Loka is being sent off sometime in October or November (as well as Robotech in December). The next three months will make my painting pile skyrocket. The Mar Attacks Kickstarter will be starting on the 4th of October and will end on 3rd of November. Oh and the PDF version of the Season Three DreadBall rule has now been sent to backers. It this looking great and does reveal more figures than I seen so far like a couple of alternate poses. The Judwan Speed value was dropped to 4+ which should depower them.

The Death Bloom
Next is the Zombicide news. During the week another CoolMiniOrNot KickStarter called Wrath of Kings had added two new Zombicide Survivors (that come with their Zombivor counter parts) a bonus. Sadly unless you were a part of ever Zombicide the KickStarter, you have to spend at least $50 of Wrath of Kings stuff to get them. The Wrath of Kings stuff look nice, but as I know of no one getting this game and that I need to stop spending. But I do really want the Elena and the Death Bloom figures. Sadly this news will be coming too late for the readers of this blog as the Wrath of Kings KickStarer ended this weekend. Also a new mission for Zombicide was posted of the official website this week. It is a battle against a Zombie King.

Now for the Privateer Press news. This coming Wednesday will be see the only release date from Privateer Press is month. I the pass months since I started Warmachine, the releases for a month were split into two day. Well anyway this week will see the release of the Obstructors unit for the Convergence, Razorwing Griffon light warbeast for the Circle, Trollkin Champions unit for the Trollblood, Iron Kingdoms Full Metal Fantasy Roleplaying Game add-on book called “Kings, Nations, and Gods”, Level 7 [Omega Protocol] and issue 50 of No Quarter Magazine. Also previews of December releases were posted. These were: Flame Bringers light cavalry unit for Protectorate, the epic character unit attachment Eiryss the Mage Hunter Commander for Retribution, Optifex Directive unit for Convergence, Perforators unit for Convergence, Beast Mistress solo for Legion, Blighted Nyss Legionnaires unit for Legion and a Warmachine High Command expansion set called “The Big Guns”.

There was not Crooked Dice Games or Robotech news last week.

Wrath of Kings had pointed me to another game that was funded by KickStarter I would like to talk about called Kingdom Death: Monster. The KickStarter ended at the beginning of the year and was meant to be released later this year. However, due to the amount of stuff the KickStarter unlocked, it was recently delayed until the beginning of next year. The figures look fantastic and the concept is brilliant. I am heavily considering picking up this game. The only problem is that it looks like it is 35mm and it seems too bogged down with too many decks and tables. It might have made a better computer game than miniatures game due to the complexity and the hundred and one bits. The story I would say is Adam and Eve (times two), meats Monster Hunter (computer game), meats Settlers (computer games) in a very dark horror fantasy world. I will be following this game and blog about it in the new gaming post.

“AJ Lee (and WWE)

The Geek Goddess was on Raw this week. She was on commentary this week during the six diva tag match. It was Natalya, Brie Bella, and Naomi versus Alicia Fox, Aksana, and Layla El. The non-Total Diva divas were winning until Natalya got into the ring and over powered them all. AJ has defeated Natalya many times in the past, but the is a fatal four way I sadly I have a feeling that AJ’s tactics will cause them to work together to take herself out them to take each other out that she needs to do (or at less to take out Natalya). Do not get me wrong I want AJ to win a keep the title for the longest any diva has hold any title (not just the WWE Divas Championship), well two or three times longer. There was also talk of AJ now has a tattoo of the date of when she won the Divas Championship on the back of her neck. I am not a fan of tattoos but I somewhat ok with memorable moments like winning major awards like gold medals and titles.

AJ was also on Smackdown. It was a repeat of Raw, Natalya, Brie Bella, and Naomi versus Alicia Fox, Aksana, and Layla El with AJ on commentary. I felt AJ did a much better job at commentary this time compared to the last two times. She seemed more like her normal energetic laid back self than the bitterly anger version we been seeing. Natalya was about to win the match, but AJ went to interfere. All the Total Diva divas that were in the ring attacked AJ and then the non-Total Diva divas dragged AJ out of the ring before more damage could be dealt. On an online backstage interview AJ admits that she has a bad habit of acting before she thinks (I know the feeling).

As normal you will have to wait until next week for the Night of Champions write up. However there were three more matches added that I what to talk about. First of the Kickoff match will be a Tag Team Turmoil match between The Prime Time Players, the Usos, Tons of Funk, the Real Americans and 3MB for number one contenders for the Tag Team Championship. The winners will face the Shield later on in the pay per view. I would like to see Tons of Funk or the Usos win this. But it will be hard to defeat a fresh Shield who will have a third member at ringside (or hidden to attack if things get bad for them). The third match was a match I thought would happen in last week’s post. Dolph Zigger verses Dean Ambrose of the Shield for the US Championship. I am in two minds who I what to see win, it would be nice to see Dolph win, however it would be better to see him getting the living crap kick out of him for what he did be poor little AJ.
