Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my
weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer
games.
“Gaming News”
First off is the Battle System news. Their Fantasy
Dungeon Terrain KickStarter has now finish and they made £198,415 with 1,204
backers.
During the last couple of day they managed to
unlock: Three Pristine Walls and a Pristine Doorway with a door as an add-on; a
pack of seventeen Assorted Prisine Ramps; two Stone Counters and two Pit Trap
Counters added to the Dungeon Accessories pack 2; two Trapdoor Counters added
to the Mines of Minerva set; the Fortress add-on at an unreleased amount; three
Derelict Walls and a Derelict Doorway with door as an add-on; the Dimension
Gate add-on now comes with a Sci-fi version for no extra cost; and the retail
version of the Sci-fi Modular Terrain Stronghold set as an add-on.
Next is the Stonehaven Miniatures news. Their
Half-Orc KickStarter has now finish and they made $58,966 with 596 backers.
The characters we got during the last couple of days
were: The Half-Orc Nobleman, an Icon Sprue, the Grippli Anurarch, the Half-Orc
Spellblade, a dead Half-Orc, the Grippli Pickpocket, three Half-Orc kids, the
Hengeyokai Messager and a Corgi.
With their Pop-Up Miniature Terrain Kit KickStarter,
their sepia pdf are now available for backers to download, however only four of
the buildings are available on A4 as they are still in the process of transferring
them to A4 format. OK now I need to get some card.
New Convergence stuff! Does this mean we will be get new stuff in the miniatures game next year? Other than the missing Battle Engine. |
Now for the Privateer Press news. Wednesday saw the
release of the Cryx Ally Unit Cephalyx Mind Slaver with Drudges, the Legion
Light Warbeast Nephilim Protector, the new High Command box set “Faith and
Fortune”, High Command Faith and Fortune Expansion set called “Escalating
Conflict”, Iron Kingdoms Full Metal Fantasy Monsternomicon and LEVEL 7
[INVASION]. The High Command release will break the bank balance on Monday as I
will also need some new card sleeves.
I have been forgetting to say that they have
revealed their December releases. These will be the Cygnar Character Heavy
Warjack Dynamo, the Trollblood Trollkin Unit Scattergunners, the Trollblood
Trollkin Unit Krielstone Bearer with Stone Scribes, the Trollblood Unit
Trollkin Highwaymen, the Skorne Unit Praetorian Karax, Minion Farrow Character
Solo Maximus and the Warmachine High Command Faith and Fortune expiation pack
called “Engines of Destruction”.
Next is the Yashima: Legend of the Kami Master news.
Since the last post they have managed to unlock for Bronze level: The Level Up Pack
one; and elven Alternate art cards. For Silver level: Two Forest Map Tiles and
the Fox Kami deck for the Forest Expansion (Meaning the whole expansion is funded
and in the pledge level); three “Fairytail”
promo masters that are backer voted; and the first of the Snow Expansion Master
(figure and cards). And also an “Arcane Wonders” promo Master (with deck and
figure) as an add-on.
Stretch Goal that were still going when I posted
this post were (several goals were change since the last post): Foil Card Set
three (each Foil Card Set comes with ten cards) will be added to Silver level
at $75k; two new Kami decks will be added to silver Level at $80k; the second
Snow Expansion Master will be added to Silver level at $85k; Level Up Pack two
will be added to Bronze level at $90k; two Snow Map Tiles and a Kami deck for
the Snow Expansion will be added to Silver level at $95k; four Alternate art
cards will be added to Bronze level at 725 backers; two Alternate art cards for
every 100 likes on Board Game Geek (from 200); and two Alternate art cards for
every 100 Facebook Shares (from 400).
Now for the Mantic news. With DreadBall Xtreme, the
Plegde Manager has now been closed. With Mars Attacks we got more painted
previews of yet unseen miniature. They have also started shipping. According to
them about half the backers should have their stuff shipped by this coming
Monday. However they are sending the small orders with the box game (4kg in
weight, which is roughly orders of under $200). The rest of the orders as well
as retail will start shipping in October and should take two to two week to be
packed and dispatched. However orders that contain the Giant Robot will be
delayed as they currently have two right legs each.
Next is the Shadows of Brimstone news. It has
started to ship for everywhere apart from the EU, while the EU stuff should
ship in mid-October.
Now for the HeroClix news. This week we got a
preview of a 2014 Monthly DC Organized Play figure of Sarah Rainmaker and from Yu-Gi-Oh Series Two we got Magician of Black Chaos.
Next is the Ninja Division news. With Robotech RPG
Tactic, the second Container has in the USA and should be at their warehouse on
Tuesday. The third Container is set to land at port in the USA on Monday, the
fourth a week after and the fifth later that week..
Now for
the Kingdom Death news. We finally got a new update this week. We got a first
look of the hard plastic version of the Lantern Armour Kit, Stone Face
Base insert, Masks, Screaming Antelope, Hand and Scribe. There are a bunch of
bonuses too. There is TWO extra unrelieved models on the Screaming Antelope and
Hand sprue. We also got previews of pages from the book and of the cards from
the Dung Beetle Knight expansion. Oh and work has started of a Hard Plastic
Lion God (currently there is a PVC version). Production of all of the resins
apart from Twilight Witch, Silk Assassin and Ann the Explorer of Death are
done.
Looking at
the photos, I have a feeling that they might be doubling the number of Stone
Face Base inserts. This is because the box game is listed to come with ten and
they are being selling them in sets of ten, however the sprue has twenty on it.
Please note the three images for are at the largess size that will appear on the post. To see them more clearer you will need to click on them or open the image in a different window.
Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. Sadly due to
problems the Arcadia Quest has not begun shipping yet due to several problems
with shipping rates. If all goes to plan it should start shipping next week.
Due to the delay there is a gallery of the promos up on the Arcadia Quest website
Lastly
there is some news from Hasslefree regarding the Sculpting Contest. They have
begun to or done making moulds of the winners and runner-ups as was as a select
bunch of others. At least one of my three entries has been chosen to be casted.
Everyone who entered has been given a code for 25% off an order that ends on
the 1st of October. This includes the models being casted from the
contest, however you have to e-mail them for these figure and we are currently
waiting for images of them (they were meant to be up Wednesday night/Thursday
Moning, however we are still waiting). They will include your entry and all the
prizes from the contest with your order. This will be any castings of your
figures (if they made castings) and a copy of all the winning and runner up
figures).

“Painting and Converting”
This week we have what I have painted for the second

All the figures front view |
All the figures rear view |
My second Daughters of the Flame Unit |
My Deliverers Unit |
Plus added a feather to the hat and painted the hat blue instead of red to make it MORE clear that she is the Unit Leader. |
A Dervish Light Warjack |
Nicia, Tear of Vengeance |
High Allegiant Amon Ad-Raza |
In next week’s post will be what I have painted for
the third week of the Wargames Workshop MK Warmachine/Hoard League 2014.
“Wargames Workshop MK Warmachine/Hoard League 2014
Painting Challenge Day 11 of 28”
Here is what my paint table looked like last night
before going to bed.
Here is a closer look of the five I am focusing on
at the moment.
And Here are the figures I have finished yesterday.
No new points from yesterday, due to time and wait
for the resin bases. There will not be a post tomorrow as I was be busy posting
in the morning and I will be going out straight after work from role play. I
will not be back until very late (most likely past midnight) so I will not have
time to do any painting (the main reason why I did a lot of painting on Wednesday).
Until next time, Keep Rolling.
