Neoscream's Life from the week of the 24th to the 30th of September

My Hasslefree Miniatures Sculpting Competition Entry

Welcome to another week of my life, in a newer style. For those new to the blog, the "Neoscream's Life" posts are basically a weekly dairy of mine. The week before last the tires on my Trike finally got pumped up, but did last week bring. (Sorry no Gundam mobile suit picture this week).

Work this week was a little better as the new staff were a bit better as the new staff are getting better, the only problem is that Paris is on Holiday this week, so we down skilled staff. This work I worked over 38 hours.

The DreadBall KickStarter finished at 10PM on Sunday GMT. This is one of the reasons why there was no DreamClix 7 post last weekend. (The other reasons are the Sculpting Competition and the 7TV game). It made just under $729k over the course of over a month, over twice the amount that Mantic's other KickStarter for Kings of War did. The end Striker set ended up being:

  • A copy of DreadBall bnox set (10 Orx players. 10 humans players and a RefBot, as well as everything for a Season One game)
  • Special edition Acrylic Counters (these are Green and are a kickstarter exclusive)
  • 2 sprues of hex bases (48 bases)
  • 14 Veer-myn players
  • 14 Forge Father players
  • 4 additional human players
  • 4 additional Orx players

  • 1 prone veer-myn model
  • 1 Orx prone model
  • 1 Human prone model
  • 1 Female Corporation prone model
  • 1 Robot prone model
  • 1 Judwan prone model
  • 1 Z'zor prone model
  • 2 Season 3 Asterian players
  • 2 Season 3 Nameless players
  • 2 Season 3 Zees players
  • 2 Teraton players
  • Lucky Logan MVP
  • Slippery Joe MVP
  • Gorim Ironstone MVP
  • Reek Rolat MVP
  • Wildcard MVP
  • John Doe MVP
  • Number 88 MVP
  • The Enforcer MVP

  • A Multi-hex player of your choice (Barricade)
  • A signed print of the cover art
  • A digital copy of the rules
  • A digital copy of the DreadBall Season 2 rules
  • A digital copy of the Season 3 rules
  • A digital “Creating DreadBall” book
  • Your name listed as a supporter in the DreadBall Fanzone
  • Free ticket to a future DreadBall event (will now be signed by Ronnie)
  • DreadBall Trophy (this is a kickstarter exclusive) Decal sheet

That is almost $500 (about £310) worth of stuff for just $150 (about £108). I also picked up two extra teams on the buy one get one free deal, a pack of four fantastic looking Cheerleaders, the Ultimate pitch, a physical copy of the Season 2 rulebook, the DreadBall Methe Penny Arcade MVP of Jonathan "Gabe" Gabriel and the other two MVPs the are not available in the Strike set (Dozer and The Praetorian). For now I have decided that I will go for one Robot team and one Teratons team instead of two robot teams as it is still unknown how the robot models will be run at the end. There will be a another chance of picking up more extras later. I am thinking of picking up the physical copies of book the Season 2 and 3 (Ultimate) rule books, a couple of Mantic white storage boxes and some extra prone tokens, but I might have to drop one of the Multi-hex players.

We finally had a game of 7TV on Saturday. I gave Richard, Nathan and Pete a chose of two scenarioes. A raid on a Military lab where remains of an alien (Dalek) was being studied on or a Tariff war with a Rival villain team. They picked the Lab raid, which they with easy (including the little Dalek surprise I had for them).

I got a new coat during the weekend which my mum ordered from a magazine for just £20. It a size small, but it is a lot bigger then the old one (most be American size and as clothes from America are a least one size bigger than the British clothes). It is a must warmer coat (might be too warm in fact), has inside pockets (I can just about fit my tablet in the bigger of the two) and a hidden hood (that seems a bit too thin). Sadly the two main outside pockets do not have buttons, zips or velcro to keep them close, but that might be early fixed with some iron on velcro.

I now have completed and sent off three out of the four armature for the Sculpting Competition ran by Hasslefree Miniatures. Sadly I had some major problems with the fourth and I had to give up on sending it. The new armed hand just would not stay on. There are pictures all over the post of them

Next weekend's DreamClix 7 post should hopefully be a double size post to make up the fact that there was no DreamClix 7 due the weekend.
