Neoscream's Life: 22nd to 28th September 2014

Welcome to the Neoscream's Life post. This is a weekly post of some of the things I have done during last week and news on the great Geek Goddess, AJ.

“Life”

I forgot to state last week that on Sunday night of the 21st of September, I received an email from Hasslefree Miniatures. Even though non of my figures won or get runner up in their 2012 Sculpting Contest, at least one of them is going to get a mould. Which one or ones I do not know and I do not know at the moment if the mould is good enough for store use. I will have to keep a close eye out. I will keep you all up to date on both the "Neoscream's Life" and "Gaming News from Neoscream" posts. However this means I should be getting my greens back soon with a metal copy of all the winners and runners as well as a copy of any of mine that were casted. Most likely next month. Finally both my Black Knights and Silicon Robotic Empire teams for 7TV will have the right figures. Only everyone who has entered have been given a 25% off code which ends on the 1st of October. These orders will ship with the greens and prizes.

The Winners and runner ups of the
2012 Hasslefree Miniatures
Sculpting Contest
I have been finding being back at work is not helping with my feelings during the start of the week. It was nowhere near as bad as it was, but I still feel very hurt inside. I had managed to rip out/block my feelings for the girl I had a crush on (avoiding her helps) and I understand that likely hood that a relationship would work is very slim to none. It felt like I have a huge wound emotional. Seeing her name on the tills and router (her name was just under mine), hearing other work colleagues saying her name or talk about her, seeing anything that reminds me of her, and hearing about or seeing other people's relationships (marriages, engagement, dating, babies) just makings the wound hurt bad. It does not help that the assistant manager who thought he was funny by calling her my girlfriend as a joke (he now knows it was a stupid thing to say). I am just VERY sensitive at the moment.
Then on Saturday as I was leaving, the assignment manager told me that the girl I had a crush on was just fired due to attitude and reliable problems. Myself, Marisa and all the other staff members where like, WTF! I do not agree with what they are doing at all, but as this is a public place where anyone can read it. So I will just leave my opinions of this as "I do not agree with it". She is trying to fight it.
I hate to say this, but this might be a bit of a silver lining for me. I might not need to bottle up things any more as she might not be around any more. I will miss her, however I do feel that this could end the problems in my life I have been having. But I do not support what work is doing and I wish things could have ended differently (that we were still friends and good ones), but sadly that is life.
Marisa was meant to be transferring back to our store again, however due to this and another problem she will most likely refuse.

Anyway with the rest of the week, I went to Simon's with Richard and Darren H for role play. Also Roxi made a brief out of the blue return to Milton Keynes with her girlfriend. It was see Roxi after all this time. Sadly it was only brief.

“WWE Night of Champions”

Sadly I been forgetting to do the WWE section until the last moment so they a bit short and rushed. On Sunday night on the 21st of September (Monday morning on the 22nd of September for us in the UK) was the pay-per-view Night of Champions. Here are the results:

Gold and Stardust (the Rhodes Brothers) defeated The Usos to become the WWE Tag Team Champions.

United States Champion Sheamus defeated Cesaro.

The Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler to become the Intercontinental Champion. However Dolph won it back on Raw the next day.

Due to Roman Reigns’ emergency surgery just one night before Night of Champions, he was unable to compete in his match against Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins made an open challenge and Dean Ambrose answered it. Sadly there was not a match. Get well soon Roman Reigns.

Rusev defeated Mark Henry and again on Raw the next day.

Randy Orton defeated Chris Jericho.

AJ Lee defeated both Paige and Nikki Bella to become the three times WWE Divas Champion. The second person ever to hold the title so many times.

John Cena defeated Brock Lesnar by disqualification as Seth Rollin interfered.

"AJ and the WWE"

The three time Diva's Champion, current champion and Geek Goddess AJ Lee, was on Raw last week. She had a match against Nikki Bella. Oddly it was a tough match, but AJ still won.

AJ was also on Main Event (but not Smackdown) this week. Sadly as we in the UK do not get Main Event in the UK I never saw it and sadly as I do not have the time (as I am writing this at the last minute) to read up what happened or write about it. However she was on commentary and not a match.

Gaming with Neoscream: 28th September 2014

Welcome to “Gaming with Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming report and event write up post for miniature games, RPGs, card games and computer games.

“This Week's Events”

On Monday this week I went to Wargames Workshop MK for the second round of the Warmachine/Hordes league. However I best post the other results from the first week. Joe won his game against Rob B and by default Barrie who his game against his brother Ian who could not make it last week due to injuries.
This week I was up against Joe who was also using Legion. It was a close battle, but he pulled off a powerful move that undid all the damage I did during the game and provided me from doing any more damage during my next turn regardless how much I tried. This lead to a won Joe, or so we thought. When we told Barrie what happened, he pointed out that Joe could not have done part of what he done. He use a Warlock ability that can only be used during the Maintenance phase, spending health for Flurry. I never knew this as I am a Warmachine player and not a Hordes one. Because of this he was disqualified, meaning on record I won, but all Control Points and Army Points remain. Wow. Well if he did not have the Flurry on the the Warlock, I have been able to win the game as he would not have been able to transfer damage to his beast.
Also Barrie who his game against Niall and Rob B won his game against Ian. I am currently at fifth place in the gaming side of league with Barrie at first place and with ten points I am at first place in the hobby side (everyone else have ZERO point).
Next week I should be against Ian and his Trolling Trolls.

On Thursday I went down to York House for HeroClix. We were playing a scenario called "Batman Beings". (300 points. One figure must be ever Ra's al Ghul or a Batman that is ever a Rookie or under 100 point.) I decided to build a team around Ra's al Ghul than a Rookie Batman.
On the first round I was up against Adrian. He was using a Gotham City Themed team. The multiple Outwit and Perplex his team had screwed up my team. I lost this game. Darren S won his game against Michael.
On the second round I was up against Michael. He was using another Gotham City Themed team. I lost this game as well, however I did do a bit better this time round. Darren won his game against Adrian, however it was a very close game.
On the third and final round I was up against Darren S. He was using yet another Gotham City Themed team. Some how I managed to win this game. Also Adrian won his game against his brother Michael.
Next week will not be the second week of the Batman sage, that would be the following week. Next week will be "Six Pack": 600 points, must have six characters, no more, no less.

On Friday, me, Richard and Darren H want to Simon’s for the second game of Silver Age Sentinels D20. It followed directly from the last game we made it back to my character's ship after blowing up the bug like alien's ship, the Null. We realised that there was not just one ship, but a fleet of ships. By the look of things they were trying to kidnap Meta Humans, but saw my character, the former second in command of the Silicon Robotic Empire as an extra bonus. We had my ship move out to obit to a place it could hide. Most of the systems were not working any more. Weapons were down. The shields could seal the holes in the ship, but were not battle ready. And the engines were running at about 5%. We then learnt that the aliens were attacking a town. We beamed down and dealt with them. We managed to do it, however as we defeated them, a group of super heroes appeared.

Gaming News from Neoscream: 26th September 2014

Welcome to “Gaming News from Neoscream”. This is my weekly gaming news post for miniature games, RPGs, some card games and computer games.

“Gaming News”

First off is the Battle System news. Their Fantasy Dungeon Terrain KickStarter has now finish and they made £198,415 with 1,204 backers.
During the last couple of day they managed to unlock: Three Pristine Walls and a Pristine Doorway with a door as an add-on; a pack of seventeen Assorted Prisine Ramps; two Stone Counters and two Pit Trap Counters added to the Dungeon Accessories pack 2; two Trapdoor Counters added to the Mines of Minerva set; the Fortress add-on at an unreleased amount; three Derelict Walls and a Derelict Doorway with door as an add-on; the Dimension Gate add-on now comes with a Sci-fi version for no extra cost; and the retail version of the Sci-fi Modular Terrain Stronghold set as an add-on.

Next is the Stonehaven Miniatures news. Their Half-Orc KickStarter has now finish and they made $58,966 with 596 backers.
The characters we got during the last couple of days were: The Half-Orc Nobleman, an Icon Sprue, the Grippli Anurarch, the Half-Orc Spellblade, a dead Half-Orc, the Grippli Pickpocket, three Half-Orc kids, the Hengeyokai Messager and a Corgi.
With their Pop-Up Miniature Terrain Kit KickStarter, their sepia pdf are now available for backers to download, however only four of the buildings are available on A4 as they are still in the process of transferring them to A4 format. OK now I need to get some card.

New Convergence stuff! Does this mean
we will be get new stuff in the miniatures
game next year? Other than the missing
Battle Engine.
Now for the Privateer Press news. Wednesday saw the release of the Cryx Ally Unit Cephalyx Mind Slaver with Drudges, the Legion Light Warbeast Nephilim Protector, the new High Command box set “Faith and Fortune”, High Command Faith and Fortune Expansion set called “Escalating Conflict”, Iron Kingdoms Full Metal Fantasy Monsternomicon and LEVEL 7 [INVASION]. The High Command release will break the bank balance on Monday as I will also need some new card sleeves.
I have been forgetting to say that they have revealed their December releases. These will be the Cygnar Character Heavy Warjack Dynamo, the Trollblood Trollkin Unit Scattergunners, the Trollblood Trollkin Unit Krielstone Bearer with Stone Scribes, the Trollblood Unit Trollkin Highwaymen, the Skorne Unit Praetorian Karax, Minion Farrow Character Solo Maximus and the Warmachine High Command Faith and Fortune expiation pack called “Engines of Destruction”.

Next is the Yashima: Legend of the Kami Master news. Since the last post they have managed to unlock for Bronze level: The Level Up Pack one; and elven Alternate art cards. For Silver level: Two Forest Map Tiles and the Fox Kami deck for the Forest Expansion (Meaning the whole expansion is funded and in the pledge level); threeFairytail” promo masters that are backer voted; and the first of the Snow Expansion Master (figure and cards). And also an “Arcane Wonders” promo Master (with deck and figure) as an add-on.
Stretch Goal that were still going when I posted this post were (several goals were change since the last post): Foil Card Set three (each Foil Card Set comes with ten cards) will be added to Silver level at $75k; two new Kami decks will be added to silver Level at $80k; the second Snow Expansion Master will be added to Silver level at $85k; Level Up Pack two will be added to Bronze level at $90k; two Snow Map Tiles and a Kami deck for the Snow Expansion will be added to Silver level at $95k; four Alternate art cards will be added to Bronze level at 725 backers; two Alternate art cards for every 100 likes on Board Game Geek (from 200); and two Alternate art cards for every 100 Facebook Shares (from 400).

Now for the Mantic news. With DreadBall Xtreme, the Plegde Manager has now been closed. With Mars Attacks we got more painted previews of yet unseen miniature. They have also started shipping. According to them about half the backers should have their stuff shipped by this coming Monday. However they are sending the small orders with the box game (4kg in weight, which is roughly orders of under $200). The rest of the orders as well as retail will start shipping in October and should take two to two week to be packed and dispatched. However orders that contain the Giant Robot will be delayed as they currently have two right legs each.

Next is the Shadows of Brimstone news. It has started to ship for everywhere apart from the EU, while the EU stuff should ship in mid-October.

Now for the HeroClix news. This week we got a preview of a 2014 Monthly DC Organized Play figure of Sarah Rainmaker and from Yu-Gi-Oh Series Two we got Magician of Black Chaos.

Next is the Ninja Division news. With Robotech RPG Tactic, the second Container has in the USA and should be at their warehouse on Tuesday. The third Container is set to land at port in the USA on Monday, the fourth a week after and the fifth later that week..

Now for the Kingdom Death news. We finally got a new update this week. We got a first look of the hard plastic version of the Lantern Armour Kit, Stone Face Base insert, Masks, Screaming Antelope, Hand and Scribe. There are a bunch of bonuses too. There is TWO extra unrelieved models on the Screaming Antelope and Hand sprue. We also got previews of pages from the book and of the cards from the Dung Beetle Knight expansion. Oh and work has started of a Hard Plastic Lion God (currently there is a PVC version). Production of all of the resins apart from Twilight Witch, Silk Assassin and Ann the Explorer of Death are done.
Looking at the photos, I have a feeling that they might be doubling the number of Stone Face Base inserts. This is because the box game is listed to come with ten and they are being selling them in sets of ten, however the sprue has twenty on it.
Please note the three images for are at the largess size that will appear on the post. To see them more clearer you will need to click on them or open the image in a different window.

Next is the Cool Mini or Not news. Sadly due to problems the Arcadia Quest has not begun shipping yet due to several problems with shipping rates. If all goes to plan it should start shipping next week. Due to the delay there is a gallery of the promos up on the Arcadia Quest website

Lastly there is some news from Hasslefree regarding the Sculpting Contest. They have begun to or done making moulds of the winners and runner-ups as was as a select bunch of others. At least one of my three entries has been chosen to be casted. Everyone who entered has been given a code for 25% off an order that ends on the 1st of October. This includes the models being casted from the contest, however you have to e-mail them for these figure and we are currently waiting for images of them (they were meant to be up Wednesday night/Thursday Moning, however we are still waiting). They will include your entry and all the prizes from the contest with your order. This will be any castings of your figures (if they made castings) and a copy of all the winning and runner up figures).

“KickStarter Dates”

·         “Kingdom Death Monster”, “Mechabrick” and wave two of “Robotech RPG Tactics” all have been delay due to problems and currently have no dates on when these will start shipping
·         Both wave one of “Shadows of Brimstone” for all apart from Europe and "Mars Attacks" should have started shipping

·         “Super Dungeon Explore The Forgotten King”, “Guild Ball” and “Mechadrome” are all listed to ship in December 2014

“Painting and Converting”

This week we have what I have painted for the second week of the Wargames Workshop MK Warmachine/Hoard League 2014.

All the figures front view
All the figures rear view
My second Daughters of the Flame Unit
My Deliverers Unit
As the figures I picked up in a bundle deal on eBay only three packs of the two figures unit expansion boosters, I did not have a figure to use as a Unit Leader. So I bulked out the chest and added hair to make it look feminine.
Plus added a feather to the hat and painted the hat blue instead of red to make it MORE clear that she is the Unit Leader.
A Dervish Light Warjack
Nicia, Tear of Vengeance
High Allegiant Amon Ad-Raza

In next week’s post will be what I have painted for the third week of the Wargames Workshop MK Warmachine/Hoard League 2014.

“Wargames Workshop MK Warmachine/Hoard League 2014 Painting Challenge Day 11 of 28”

Here is what my paint table looked like last night before going to bed.

Here is a closer look of the five I am focusing on at the moment.

And Here are the figures I have finished yesterday.

No new points from yesterday, due to time and wait for the resin bases. There will not be a post tomorrow as I was be busy posting in the morning and I will be going out straight after work from role play. I will not be back until very late (most likely past midnight) so I will not have time to do any painting (the main reason why I did a lot of painting on Wednesday).

Until next time, Keep Rolling.
