MK HeroClix, the 2nd of August, Batman (finally) Begins

Welcome to another MK HeroClix post. First off is the HeroClix news for this week. This week there were previews of two versions of Magneto from Marvel HeroClix 10th Anniversary; two versions of Lex Luthor from DC HeroClix 10th Anniversary; and two different Firestorm and their merged version Fury from DC Justice League 52. On personal news I have a bunch of extra Marvel Chaos War figures on Friday.

This week's game was the long awaited Batman Begins. I am not posting the details again. My teams were:

Team Batman
Bruce Wayne (001 DC The Brave and the Bold) 48
The Question (004 DC Arkham Asylum) 37
Nightwing (029 DC Crisis) 79 164
Deadshot (005 DC 75th Anniversary) 89
Oracle (025 DC Batman Alpha) 50
=303 points and two re-rolls.
Outside Game: Batman (016 DC The Brave and the Bold)

Team Ra's al Ghul
Ra's al Ghul (049 DC Icons) 79
Merlyn (019 DC Justice League) 55
Bronze Tiger (032 DC Justice League) 60
Talia al Ghul (041 DC The Brave and the Bold) 67
League Elite (011 DC The Brave and the Bold) 33
=294 and two re-rolls.

This week Michael could not make it, but his and Adrian's friend Robert (not me) came. As every else was use Batman teams I decided to use my Ra's al Ghul team for all third games. On the first round I was up against Adrian. He was using a Justice League of America themed team who were:

Batman (040 DC Icons) 79
Green Lantern (023 DC Crisis) 157
Green Arrow (102 DC Justice League) 50
=286 and two re-rolls.

Green Lantern with his 20 Defence (17 on dial + Energy Shield Deflection + hindering terrain) was a nightmare and unbeatable. I ended up losing the game only KOing Green Arrow. Also Darren won against the other Robert in their game. On the second round I was up against the other Robert. He was using a Gotham City themed team who were:

Batman (082 DC Legacy) 85
Batman (016 DC Arkham Asylum) 64
Robin (034 DC Arkham Asylum) 66
Nightwing (029 DC Crisis) 79
=294 and two re-rolls.

My time ripped his team apart with League Elite the only one of my guys to take damage, just one click in fact. I do feel bad white washing a new player like that, but they need to remember to try to think ahead. Sadly I do not know who won the game between Darren and Adrian. On the third and final round I was up against Darren. He was using a Justice Society themed team who were:

Magog (019 DC Superman) 85
Batman (052 DC 75th Anniversary) 80
Liberty Belle (010 DC Crisis) 84
Wildcat (013 DC Origin) 54
=303 and two re-rolls.

Darren like normal creamed my team. That Batman is quite good, given the right map he is much better than out of the shadows Batman. Also Adrian won against the other Robert in their game. Sadly of scores this week.

Next week should be 500 points, Avengers themed (Avengers, allies, foes).

Now for this week's DreamClix section. This week I am doing ideas for normal size Mario from the Mario Brothers games, three different versions of the Knightmare Frame Burai from Code Geass and both forms of Jazz from Transformers G1. But first I have designs of Jsica Princess Garnet from Final Fantasy IX; Pharo from Soul Eater; Hoverion from Code Geass; and Hollow Ichigo from Bleach.

Next is the normal size Mario from the Mario Brothers games. This version of Mario should have two traits called "POWER-UP(Mario)" and "Byte Size", two specials called "Shell Throw" and "Flatten", Leap Climb, Toughness and Perplex.
POWER-UP(Mario): Give Mario a power action that deals no pushing damage. Destroy one adjacent place on blocking terrain or object regardless of Mario's damage value. If his does replace him with any character with this trait on the same click number.
Byte Size: After an action resolves during which Mario took damage from an opposing character, you may replace him with #MB-001 Mario on the same click number.
Shell Throw: Mario can use Super Strength, but he can only pick up or carry light objects.
Flatten: Mario can use Leap Climb. If he moves half or less his Speed value, he can make a close combat attack as a free action at +1 to his attack value.
He should have six clicks of health and starting  combat values of Speed 10, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 3 and Range 0. His team ability should be the Mario Bros Allies and his keywords should be Super Mario Bros and Mushroom Kingdom. The next Nintendo idea should be Fire Flower Mario.

Next is three different versions of the Knightmare Frame Type-10R Burai from Code Geass. The Burai is a remodeled version of the Glasgow manufactured by the Kyoto House and used by the Black Knights and the Japan Liberation Front. It is basically the same as a Glasgow, except for the head, which has fang-like cheekbones which give the appearance of an oni. It also features a torso-mounted antipersonnel machine gun. Its hands have also been refurbished so that they can guard, a feature exclusive to the Burai. Lelouch (and later C.C.) pilots a customized unit with a red head module and golden horns resembling those on a samurai's helmet. Like the Sutherland, variants exist including close combat and electronic warfare types. The Burai is a upgraded Glasgow and next a 5th Generation Knightmare Frame. Because of this they should only be a little better than a Glasgow. The version with a Rifle should have higher Speed value, less of a drop and no Britannia keyword. The version with a Cannon should have a lower Speed value, Range Combat Expert and no Britannia keyword. The command type one should have higher attack value, Leadership, Mastermind and only the Black Knights keyword. The next Code Geas idea should be a Pilot/Support card for Zero.

Next is Jazz from Transformers G1. Jazz is Optimus Prime's right-hand man. Unlike Prowl, Prime's military strategist, Jazz responds well to change and improvisation. Whatever surprises the Decepticons spring, Jazz can deal with it. His position as Special Operations head calls for all the skills he possesses, yet he still has time to add some style to everything he does. Jazz's upbeat and outgoing personality make him one of the most popular Autobots among the Ark's crew. An admirer of Earth music of every kind, Jazz loves culture. More than most other Autobots, he has his finger on the pulse of Earth trends and lingo, effortlessly incorporating human slang into his vocabulary. Chances are, Jazz could tell you the status of almost any reality television show and each week's Top 40 list. In his robot mode he should have a trait called "TRANSFORM(G1 Jazz)" (sorry I am not posting the rule of this common ability, check Starscream's to know what it does), a click or two of a special called "Sonic Blasters", the giant symbol, Leadership, Stealth, Probability Control, Toughness and Combat Reflexes.
Sonic Blasters: Jazz can use Pulse Wave. If he does it deals no damage, instead all characters hit receives an action token.
He should have seven clicks of health and starting  combat values of Speed 9, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 2 and Range 6 with one target. His team ability should be the Autobots and his keywords should be Autobots and Robot. In his vehicle mode he should have two traits called "TRANSFORM(G1 Jazz)" and "Human Transport", more click of the "Sonic Blasters" (but with the add rules of "as if he has a Range value of 6"), the giant symbol, Charge, Energy Shield Deflection and Shape Change.
Human Transport: Jazz can use the carry ability, but he can only carry characters smaller than him.
He should have seven clicks of health and starting  combat values of Speed 14, Attack 10, Defence 17, Damage 2 and Range 0. His team ability should be the Autobots and his keywords should be Autobots and Vehicle. The next Transformers G1 idea should be Soundwave.

Lastly is the DreamClix Dial Designs page update news. On Sunday I did the second of the two Mobile Suit Gundam UC updates and of Monday I did the first of five Naruto updates. The new stuff is shown below. There should be at least an update to the page on Sunday. In this update I will be the second of the five Naruto updates.

Well that is it for this week. Until next time, Mecha Up.
